The Battle of the Block

Julie gathered the first eight houseguests in the living room to reveal a twist. The twist was the return of the Battle of the Block. Julie then told the houseguests that it was time for the first HoH competition of the summer. She informed the houseguests that one of them will need to sit the competition out. Da’Vonne volunteered to sit out of the competition.

HoH Competition - “Flying Tomatoes”

The first houseguest to catch ten tomatoes and put them in their container will become the first Head of Household. Fall off of your platform and you will be eliminated.

Order to be eliminated from the competition: Clay, Austin, Meg, Audrey, Shelli, Jace.

James won HoH.

BB Takeover

Immediately following the HoH competition, Julie gathered the houseguests in the living room to reveal another twist. Julie explained that no houseguest has ever had to endure a new twist every single week until now. She then welcomed them to the “BB Takeover”, which will unleash new twists throughout the summer.

Move In Day - Part 2

Group 1: Becky, Liz and Steve.

BB Takeover

The host of “The Amazing Race”, Phil Keoghan, joined Julie on set to reveal the first BB Takeover. Phil revealed that Jeff and Jackie from Season 26 of The Amazing Race will be entering the house as houseguests.

Julie then gathered the houseguests in the living room and told them that it is time to crown the second Head of Household. Julie explained that somebody from the second group of eight houseguests needs to sit out of the competition. Vanessa volunteered to sit out.

HoH Competition - “UFOhhh No”

On go, the UFOs that are circling above will try to suck the houseguests up to the mothership. Their job is to hold on tight to the stakes. If you get sucked up, you will be eliminated from the competition. The last houseguest holding on to the stake will become the new HoH.

Order to be eliminated from the competition: Steve, Jeff, John, Becky, Liz, Jackie.

Jason won HoH.

BB Takeover

Phil Keoghan gathered the houseguests in the living room. He told Da’Vonne and Vanessa that the risk that they took in sitting out of the HoH competition is about to pay off. He then introduced the BB Fast Forward, which will fast forward Da’Vonne and Vanessa’s games to next week. They cannot be nominated or evicted this week. Phil then said that they can each take one houseguest with them. Da’Vonne chose to use the Fast Forward on Liz and Vanessa chose to use the Fast Forward on Austin.

Battle of the Block - “DuBoB"

Teams will add to the skyline by building a new skyscraper. When the horn sounds, uncover the blueprint showing you how to construct your tower. One at a time, transfer a piece across the beam from the supply platform to the build platform. If you drop a piece or fall off a beam, you must go back to your previous beam before continuing on. The first team to correctly build their tower and get both players back to the supply platform and hit their button wins.

Becky and John won the Battle of the Block. Jason has been dethroned. James will remain HoH for the week.

Veto Competition - “Nose-a-Scotia"

Veto Players: James, Jackie, Steve, Becky, Jason and John.
Host: Austin.

On go, make your way through the obstacles to search the mountains and locate a gold nugget. Each nugget has a letter with a point value ranging from zero to three points. Once you find one that you like, bring it back to your gold pan to begin spelling a word. You may only bring back one letter at a time. The houseguest whose word has letters that add up to the highest point value will win the Power of Veto. You have ten minutes to lock in your answer.

Twin Twist

Julie revealed to the viewers that Liz is playing the game with her twin sister named Julia. Liz and Julia will secretly be swapping in and out of the house. Should they survive five weeks without being evicted, they will be able to enter the game as individual players.

The competition will be played in two rounds. The houseguests must collect their puzzle pieces one at a time from their bins, assembling a billboard at their station. The first houseguest in each round to successfully assemble their billboard, run across the yard and hit their buzzer, will become the new HoH.

Battle of the Block - “Give Me Props"

The director’s shot list will begin flashing on the video monitor. Your job is to match your shot list to your screen. Shot 1 on Screen 1, Shot 2 on Screen 2 and so on. The first team to get all nine shots correct and hit their button wins the Battle of the Block.

Jason and Steve won the Battle of the Block. Becky has been dethroned. Shelli will remain HoH for the week.

Veto Competition - “High Maintenance"

Veto Players: Shelli, Da’Vonne, John, Clay, Meg and Steve.
Host: Jackie.

Jackie will draw a name. That person will challenge another person to go head to head with. Kathy will then list seven items that she is demanding her assistant bring. When the elevator door opens, the assistant will be missing one item. Your job is to identify which item is missing, run into the room, retrieve that item, run back and buzz in. If you have the wrong item, your opponent will win.

Round 1: John vs Da’Vonne. Missing item: Unicycle.
John brought back the correct item. Da’Vonne was eliminated from the competition.

BB Takeover

Kathy Griffin announced that her takeover will involve allowing one of the houseguests the opportunity to have the power of the last laugh at the next eviction. A phone booth was placed in the living room. Kathy will be calling the phone booth with 15 different tips. Only one of those calls will tip you off with how you can get the last laugh on eviction night. The houseguest who gets the right call will get the power to prevent three people from casting a vote to evict this week.

Da’Vonne answered call #7 and won the power of the last laugh.

Da’Vonne prevented Becky, Jackie and Jeff from voting.

Eviction

One at a time, each houseguest will step up to the launcher and shoot their ball towards the cups. Each cup represents a different number from 1 to 55. The two houseguests with the highest scores when everyone has taken a turn will be the new Heads of Household. If your ball does not land in a cup, your score will be zero.

Battle Of The Block - “Gronk’s Amazing Foam Party"

Your job is to find one item in the lost and found and return the item to the party goer wearing the matching item. Once you return the item to the party goer, lead them out of the foam and into the VIP area. It’s then your teammate’s turn to do the same. The first team with 10 party goers in their VIP area wins the Battle of the Block.

Jason and Meg won the Battle of the Block. Austin has been dethroned. Vanessa will remain HoH.

Veto Competition - “Gronk and Roll"

Veto Players: Vanessa, James, John, Audrey, Austin and Shelli.

A random draw decided which order the houseguests will be playing in. The player who was drawn first will decide who to battle head to head. In each battle, each player will get inside of their dice. Becky will then spin the wheel to determine which number you will try to match. Roll your dice off the platform with the goal of returning to your platform with the correct number on top of your dice. The first player on their platform with the correct number up stays in the game. The next player will then challenge any of the remaining players. This will continue until only one player remains. That player will win the Power of Veto.

Each team has an Alice tied up in chains and secured by four padlocks. Your goal is to free Alice and take her to Nirvana. You will need to find one key in each of the four zones. The first team to find all four keys, unlock Alice and take her to Nirvana will win the Battle of the Block.

Veto Competition - “Saved By The Smell"

In each round of the competition, you will be shown a video containing a sequence of coloured chemicals that match the test tubes on your desk. You will then take a pop quiz and be instructed to pour a specific coloured chemical into your flask. If you pour the correct chemical, you will advance to the next round. The last houseguest standing will win the Power of Veto.

Two at a time, you will face-off at the podium. You will hear a short pop song that will describe one of the competitions played this summer. Your goal is to identify that competition as “HoH”, “BoB” or “Veto”. If you are the first person to buzz in with the correct answer, you stay in the game and your opponent is eliminated. If you answer incorrectly, you will be eliminated. Whichever houseguest advances will then choose the next two houseguests two face-off. The last two houseguests standing will become the new HoHs.

Your job is to stay on top of the latest news and gossip about former BB houseguests. Today’s headline is about three BB houseguests from last summer who were seen eating at Outback Steakhouse. It’s up to you to figure out which ones.

On go, throw paint at anything and everything in the news room. As you toss paint, invisible letters will reveal themselves. Go to your headline station to use the letter tiles to unscramble the names of three houseguests from last season. The first team to correctly do so will win the Battle of the Block. The winning team and the remaining HoH will also receive a dinner from Outback Steakhouse.

James and Liz won the Battle of the Block. Jackie has been dethroned. Vanessa will remain HoH.

Veto Competition - “Get Nutty"

Veto Players: Vanessa, Becky, Clay, John, Liz and Shelli.
Host: Jason.

Your job is to store 250 nuts to win the Power of Veto. You will achieve this by rolling your ball up one side and then running over to the other side and catching it. Every time your acorn passes over the top, you will earn yourself one nut. If your acorn hits the ground, your score will go back to zero and you will have to start over.

Seeing as the twins survived five evictions, Julia was given the opportunity to enter the game. The twins had previously been playing as one and had switched places 14 times. Julia and Liz will now be playing the game individually.

If you fall, you will be eliminated from the competition. The last houseguest standing on the cliff’s edge will become the new Head of Household.

The last player standing will have their choice of any of the prizes including the Power of Veto.

Clay was eliminated from the competition. Clay received a “Night Of Shining Armor” punishment. He will not have to leave the side of his knight for the next 24 hours. He will have to constantly be shining his or her armor. Clay traded it to Vanessa for the Ireland Castle Vacation.

Becky was eliminated from the competition. Becky received $5,000.

James received the “Castle Guard” punishment. He must complete the swordsman training regimen 2,400 times in 24 hours. If he fails, he will be exiled from the next veto competition. James traded it to Shelli for the Power of Veto.

On go, you will up your funnel with as much gas as you can, transferring it across the yard to your gas tank. As the gas tank fills, three checkered balls will rise. When you can reach any of your checkered balls, you can claim HoH and win the game, or you can claim a prize and keep playing. The prizes are $5,000 or a never not pass. It is possible for one houseguest to win all three prizes. The game will end as soon as someone claims HoH.

Becky won the never not pass and $5,000.

Each comic has a decoy. The player who matches the BB Comics studio wall in the shortest amount of time will win the Power of Veto.

The HoH track meet will be run in six races. In each race, one houseguest will be eliminated. You will get into your starting block and hold down all three buttons. Each race will begin when the monitor at the end of the yard scrolls through the words “ready”, “set”, “go”. The last to run down their lane and hit their button will be eliminated. There are decoy words that rhyme with the word go. If you release any button before you see the word go, you will be eliminated.

The houseguest who correctly identifies the faces in all six fembots in the shortest amount of time will win the Power of Veto.

The first four jurors returned to the house to compete for a chance to earn a second shot at the half million dollars. Shelli, Jackie, Becky and John will compete in the HoH competition. The last one standing will return to the game.

As you hit the hand, you will be sent spinning. You will need to hold on. The last person standing will become the new HoH. The last juror standing will be back in the game.

In each round, players will be shown a starting lineup of BB17 houseguest trading cards at a rapid pace. Gradually the pace will slow down. When you think you know which houseguest’s playing card is not featured, arrange your cube puzzle to create the face of the missing player. Once you have solved the puzzle, hit the button. The last player to correctly solve their puzzle will be eliminated. The last player standing will become the new HoH.

The first houseguest to transfer ten eggs into their holders will become the new HoH. The first houseguest to get an egg into the “luxury” holder will win a trip outside of the house.

Veto Competition - “Life In Pieces"

You will need to put together your giant “Life in Pieces” puzzle. When the horn sounds, your puzzle board will become magnetized for 20 seconds. Race across your balance beam to place the pieces of your puzzle on the board. If you don’t make your way back across the balance beam to hit the buzzer before your clock hits zero, your board will demagnetize and you will have to start over. If you fall off the balance beam, your board will demagnetize. Each time your board demagnetizes, you only have 10 seconds to hit the buzzer before your game ends. The first houseguest to correctly complete their puzzle will win the Power of Veto.

John won the Power of Veto.

The last houseguest to answer correctly will earn a strike against them. Two strike against you means that you will be eliminated. The last houseguest standing will win the Power of Veto.

Your goal is to complete the crossword puzzle using the clues from this season. Once you have figured out the answer to a clue, grab the letter tiles for the answer and then climb onto the crossword puzzle and place the letters in the correct positions. The houseguest who solves the crossword puzzle and hits the bell in the fastest time will win the competition.
