BB17 Day 17 - Shelli's plan for the replacement nominee changes
July 4, 2015
10:00-11:00 AM: John and Steve chatted in the backyard. John asked badly winning the Power of Veto will put a target on him. Steve said that he doesn’t think that it will. He told John to fade back in to the background now. Steve felt that it was a comparable situation to his own, since he has won two competitions to save himself. John said that he did not feel comfortable on the block. Steve said that John did the right thing, since you have to save yourself when you are on the block. Steve asked if John is using the veto, which he said that he would be. John explained that there are too many days between now and the eviction, so the vote could flip. Steve asked if John threw the Battle of the Block. He said that he did not and that he had a bad feeling beforehand. John was also wondering how his hanging out with Becky is being perceived, given that people are making jokes about them being a showmance. Steve pointed out that Becky is not looking for a showmance. John said that he isn’t either but there were jokes being made. Steve asked John to do him a favour, letting him know if he ever becomes too much or too annoying. John discussed that they could make a signal or something, though he let Steve know that he has not felt that way yet.
11:00-12:00 PM: James told John that he is feeling a little bit worried about this week and it is stressing him out. John admitted that he felt the same way and was not wanting to be on the block this week with the uncertainty of the twist, which is why he felt the need to win the Power of Veto. James said that he feels like he is good and that Clay and Shelli will not put him up, though he said that it is Big Brother and you never know. He hoped that they would return the favour since he did not nominate them last week. John asked if James had made the same deal with Clay and Shelli that he did with them, that they would not put him up if they won HoH. James said that he did not but he thought that he was still good with those two. John assured James that he would never nominate him.
12:00-1:00 PM: Jason had a quick chat with John, mentioning that he feels that Steve is a snitch for a lot of people. John said that he has heard that a lot. Jason said that he has to watch what he says around Steve in case it gets back to someone. John said that he does the same. Jason figured that Steve may have more information that anyone in the house, since he sits in with all of the groups. They then discussed Audrey. John brought up that most of the stuff that he knows about Audrey is what he hears from others. Jason explained that she will plant a seed with someone and then go blame it on the person that she planted it with. He figured that her strategy was to spread things everywhere and hope that those people would all go after each other, leaving her untouched. Jason explained that he would rather go home due to Audrey targeting him for not being manipulated by her than to look like the Victoria to her Derrick. Jason asked Meg who she thinks that Shelli will put up. Meg said that it would be brilliant if she put up Audrey, though she doesn’t see it happening. Jason agreed. Meg said that hopefully it will not be one of them. Jason didn’t think that it would be, though he said that Da’Vonne is likely dead in the water either way. Jason felt that Da’Vonne knows it too. They wondered if the twist would be anything that could save Da’Vonne. Jason thought that Kathy Griffin would save Audrey if she was given the power to do something.
1:00-2:00 PM: Vanessa asked Shelli if she made up her mind about what she is going to do. Shelli said that she will do what they talked about, which was to nominate Liz. Vanessa said that people think that Audrey is being backdoored. Shelli hoped that people would not be upset with her. Vanessa said that Shelli has a good excuse, since she can say that she changed her mind and decided to target Da’Vonne because she figured that she had created an enemy in her by nominating her.
2:00-3:00 PM: Vanessa told Austin that Shelli should nominate Meg, not Liz. She explained that Shelli has a reason to since Meg went after Shelli in the veto competition. Austin said that at night he can hear that whole group talking about flipping things on Clay and Shelli. They counted possible votes for Da’Vonne as James, Jeff, Jackie, Jason, John and Meg. Austin felt that those people were not being truthful to Shelli. Vanessa said that she would tell her. They agreed that they cannot lose Liz. Vanessa asked Austin how he feels about Clay and Shelli. Austin said that he feels good about them. As for Audrey, Austin said that he feels good about her for now because she has no choice. Austin and Vanessa agreed that Clay and Shelli are being perceived as a couple. Austin said that they need Shelli understand what is going on downstairs, because there is a huge chance that nominating Liz can backfire. Austin suggested that Vanessa present it to Shelli by explaining that she will be in major danger next week.
Vanessa went up to the HoH room to talk to Shelli. Vanessa said that James, Jason and Meg are tight and are definitely a threesome. Shelli said that they are saying that they are on board with voting out Da’Vonne. Vanessa said that you can’t trust their word, as they have to say that at this point. Shelli admitted that she doesn’t trust James but Clay really does. Vanessa mentioned that it’s Clay that she is look out for the most here, since he would go before her. Shelli said that’s another reason why she can’t backdoor Audrey. Vanessa agreed that Audrey should stay. Shelli said that it’s not even close to her plan to backdoor Audrey and if it makes her a target then she will fight to stay there. Austin and Clay joined them in the HoH room and said that there was shady stuff going on last night, with people whispering in the bedroom and suggesting that Clay and Shelli are no longer with them. Clay said that his concern would be if Audrey and Da’Vonne teamed up. Austin told Clay and Shelli that he is concerned that they are being viewed as a duo. Austin said that his concern is that Da’Vonne can convince enough people that Clay and Shelli are a strong duo, so they should rally a group against them. Austin pointed out that nobody would vote Meg out. Shelli said that putting Meg up would force the people downstairs to vote out one of their own. She added that them talking is putting Meg in danger, which Austin said that Shelli could tell them.
3:00-4:00 PM: Liz joined Austin, Shelli and Vanessa in the HoH room. Vanessa, as she did yesterday, pointed out that Meg chose to go against Shelli instead of John in the veto competition, making it less likely that nominations would stay the same. Liz expressed concern that she is not going to be 100% safe if she ends up on the block. On the other hand she said someone like Meg would be 100% safe and would ensure that Da’Vonne leaves. Austin, Liz and Vanessa discussed that they are concerned that Audrey and Da’Vonne could join forces because Audrey would know that she is the next target after Da’Vonne leaves. Shelli said Da’Vonne is going home and she will do whatever it takes. Shelli agreed that the best option would be to nominate Meg next to Da’Vonne, since she is someone that nobody would vote out. Liz also pointed out that Da’Vonne would be able to start rumours about her but not about Meg. Shelli agreed and said that she will not nominate someone in her circle, such as Liz, also suggesting that Meg is someone that is only temporarily in her circle. Shelli said that she is feeling good about their change of plans and is down with it.
4:00-5:00 PM: Clay checked in with Audrey to make sure that she would have his and Shelli’s backs. Audrey assured him that she will always work with them and would never take anyone else to the finals. Clay told Audrey that last night he may have been abrasive with her but they are risking their one shot in the game to give her another shot. Clay said that he did not want to do this and then look bad on it and see that Audrey ended his or Shelli’s games. Clay said that they need Da’Vonne to go this week. Audrey brought up that if they decided to keep Da’Vonne by some chance, the most strategical move would be to backdoor Becky. Clay said that Da’Vonne needs to go. Audrey said that she wants Da’Vonne to go and has been calling her “Mama Demon” in the DR, while calling Shelli the “Demon Slayer”. Clay questioned why Audrey proposed Becky. Audrey explained that in the long run Becky is a threat since she has proven to be a competition beast. Audrey pointed out that it’s like in Shelli’s best interest to stick with Austin, Liz and Vanessa over the other side of the house, though Audrey said that she is willing to work with whoever will give her a genuine shot. Clay said that Shelli and himself are giving her a shot and now it’s up to her to get back in good with people. Audrey said that she is done being friends with everyone, as she wants to pick a side. Clay said that he wants to do the same, so they need to figure out who to work with.
5:00-6:00 PM: Clay and Shelli spoke up in the HoH room. They discussed nominating Meg. Shelli said that she would only do it because Meg would not go home. Clay said he doesn’t care if Meg goes up and that Meg would not be in his four if he were to make one. Shelli pointed out that James, Jason and Meg do not care about Liz at all, which gives Da’Vonne the opportunity to flip their votes and send Liz home. Shelli said that Liz would have her back before any of those people would. Clay said okay and told her to put up Meg for sure. Shelli explained that whether or not Austin really overheard conversations last night, it did open her eyes to seeing that the vote could possibly flip if Liz is on the block. Clay said that it makes him a little weary because he would not know where Jeff would stand if they draw lines, since he is close with James and Meg. Shelli again said that that’s exactly why Meg needs to go on the block. Clay said that he is angry that Meg is playing both sides.
Clay told Shelli that he is fine with leaving Jeff out of a group, since he sees Jeff going in a different direction than him with James, Jason and Meg. He felt that they would not be able to pull Jeff in without bringing James on board at this point. He also said the same for Meg. Clay was also concerned about Becky and Jackie due to Jeff’s connection with Jackie. Clay pointed out that if those people all join forces it would leave them with Austin, Liz, Vanessa, Steve and maybe John on the other side. Clay still felt that it was not a bad thing to work with the James, Jeff and Meg trio. Shelli discussed that Vanessa has to be in their group for sure. She said that Austin is tight with Vanessa and she is now becoming closer with Liz. They agreed that Audrey would be on their side too. Clay figured that they had two options, joining that group of people or sticking to their current group.
6:00-7:00 PM: Clay and Shelli continued their talk, saying that they will need to think about who they want to align with. Shelli mentioned that she trusts Austin, Liz and Vanessa more than she trusts the others at this point. She liked that Austin and Liz have been talking to her this week, feeling that a real bond has been forming between them. Clay again agreed with Shelli that the better option for the replacement nominee this week is Meg, not Liz. Moving forward, Shelli had some concerns that people would nominate her next to Audrey next week, after she did not backdoor Audrey this week. Clay did not think that that would be the case. However, Clay said that they need to keep reenforcing it with people that they are on board with taking Audrey out next even if they aren’t in reality. He felt that Audrey staying was not a bad thing for them but he was concerned that it could put a target on them since they will always be associated with her.
8:00-9:00 PM: Jeff chatted with Clay about going to the Final 2 together. He said that he made a promise to Clay on Day 2 and would like to at least keep the first promise that he made. Jeff also mentioned that it would not be a good idea to bring Shelli to the end, suggesting that guys have a tough time against girls in the Final 2. Clay said that he is on board with going to the end with Jeff and that he will have to deal with Shelli when the time comes. Jeff is still focused on getting Audrey out next week, followed by Austin the following week.
9:00-10:00 PM: Shelli joined Clay and Jeff in the HoH room. Jeff revealed that Da’Vonne expects that she will be going home and also expects that someone likeable, such as Meg, will be nominated next to her. Jeff again brought up that Austin is not trustworthy and he needs to go soon. Shelli asked if Jeff trusts Liz. He said that he does not trust her at all because he doesn’t trust anybody that was associated with Jace. Shelli then asked Jeff who he thinks the best option is for the replacement nominee. Jeff said Austin. Shelli then clarified that she needs to know who the best option is in terms of someone that would ensure that Da’Vonne leaves. Jeff then said Liz, adding that Shelli would lose credibility in her decision making if she went a different route after telling Liz that she would go up. Shelli did not like that comment and began explaining that nobody seems to care what she does, seeing as nobody has even come upstairs to talk to her about he plan for the week. Jeff said that’s probably because people assume that Audrey is being backdoored. Shelli pointed out that people did not even ask her if that’s the plan. Shelli explained that she does not like having to communicate to people, such as Jeff, through Clay. She wanted them to talk to her directly. They discussed that they will need to work on communicating better moving forward.
As for the replacement nominee, Jeff said that he did not want to put his two cents in when it’s Shelli’s HoH and he would likely do something differently than she would. Jeff said that he would offer to go up if Audrey was not in the house. Jackie and John then entered the room. Jeff told Clay and Shelli that they need to solidify their core group, given that they have talked about it for a while but not gone forward with it. They asked who should be in it. Jeff said that he would be comfortable working with everyone in the room. There was some discussion that the five should bring in another two for numbers. Names that were thrown out there included Becky, James and Meg. They eventually decided that it’s best for them to limit the group to the five of them and then they could have people on the side for numbers. These people would not know about the alliance, as they agreed to keep that under wraps. They also discussed that it’s imperative that they all let each other know if their names come up in discussions with anyone else.
10:00-11:00 PM: After John left the room, Jackie asked Shelli if she thinks that everyone will vote Da’Vonne out over Liz. Shelli said that she is glad that Jackie brought that up, as they have to talk further about it. Shelli told Clay, Jackie and Jeff that she is very afraid that Liz will be evicted over Da’Vonne, because most people are not aligned with Liz. Shelli then revealed that her latest thought is that she should talk to Meg and explain that she needs to nominate someone that definitely will not go home, so she is putting her up instead. Jackie agreed that she could see Da’Vonne being able to flip the votes against someone like Liz, while she would have a tougher time doing that next to Meg. Jeff also said that he thinks that it’s a good idea. They then counted the votes and agreed that Meg would stay. Shelli said that’s the plan. Jeff then brought up that he would like to work with Meg, almost even more so than he would like to work with James. Shelli wondered if they should approach the talk with Meg differently, asking her about working together and then filling her in on the plan. They discussed that Meg could possibly be a sixth member in the newly formed alliance. They discussed talking to her later.
11:00-12:00 AM: Shelli asked Audrey who she would target if she won HoH. Audrey said that she would probably have to go for Becky since she has heard that Becky was trying to backdoor her. Audrey told Shelli that she feels as though it would be best for Shelli’s game to trust Austin and Vanessa over the other side, though she admitted that they offer fewer numbers. Audrey pointed out that Jeff, not Clay, is in the best position on the other side, due to his connection with Jackie and her connection to Becky. Audrey then brought up her conversation with Clay last night. She explained that it seemed as though Clay was trying to take all of the credit for keeping her safe this week, though she knows that it was Shelli playing a major role in it. Shelli did back Clay by saying that he is 100% with her in terms of agreeing that Da’Vonne needs to be the one to go this week. Audrey assured Shelli that she does not forget the way that people make her feel and that when Shelli stuck up for her it meant a lot. Audrey told Shelli that she will be faithful to her and on her side for as long as she is in the game. Shelli replied with “right back at you”. Shelli said that Audrey looked out for her in many instances, while Da’Vonne didn’t even talk to her until she was trying to turn on Audrey.
12:00-1:00 AM: Audrey told Austin that she would still like to work with him and Vanessa if the opportunity arises. Austin said that’s what he wants. Austin was concerned that people on the other side would try to backdoor one of them. He was particularly concerned about James. Audrey said that she does not like that James makes up stuff, such as that she was the reason that Jace got backdoored. Audrey mentioned that James is one of the people that Clay told her that she would have to keep safe in return for being kept safe this week. Austin admitted that it makes him nervous to hear that. Audrey made Austin promise not to tell anyone. Audrey told Austin that she didn’t think that Jeff would backdoor either of them. Austin believes that Jeff wants to be in jury with him and that he would not target him at least until that point.
2:00-3:00 AM: Austin and Liz chatted on the hammock. Liz said that she was feeling good and now she is sad again. A short while earlier, Austin had told Liz about a chat with Clay in which Clay made it seem as though Liz is still going on the block. Liz also felt that Shelli would have talked to Meg by now if she was going up on the block. Austin didn’t think that Liz would go home either way, but she did not want to be nominated. Liz felt that Clay and Shelli had no loyalty to them. Liz said that she would be upset if she went up and would target Shelli. She followed that up by saying that her real target is James. Austin said that his is too and suggested that you possibly put John up with James and asked him to throw the Battle of the Block. Austin said that he would try to talk to Shelli again before the veto ceremony. Liz felt that they should do it tomorrow.
3:00-4:00 AM: Jeff went to Shelli and asked if she has decided anything with regards to the replacement nominee. Shelli asked if Meg knew anything. Jeff said that he was waiting for her to talk to Meg. Jeff said no and that Meg acted weird towards him as well. Shelli asked Jeff if he thought that it was an okay plan. Jeff said that he thought so. Shelli asked Jeff how he is with Audrey. Jeff said that he tries to be cordial. Shelli mentioned that Audrey said that she is feeling that Jeff is becoming more comfortable with her again. Jeff asked Shelli how he feels about their group. Shelli said that John walked in at the right time and she thinks that it could be a blessing because he is someone that no one could suspect. Jeff said that Jackie is cool but he would not want to make it too far, such as to the Final 3. Jeff explained that he would not win against her at the end, since people a lot of times pick the sweet and innocent girl. Clay joined them and said that he feels really good about their group.
5:00-6:00 AM: James, Jason, Jeff and Meg talked game in the backyard. Jeff thought that immediate threat may be Austin. Jason suggested that it would probably be Audrey since she has been aiming for Jeff since the first week. Jason expects that Audrey will try to reel him in once Da’Vonne goes, though he said that it would not work. Jason felt that Austin was on his own in the game. Meg pointed out that Austin and Vanessa seem to be together the most. They discussed that the alliance of eight is now dead. Jeff asked the others what they think about John. Jason felt that they could trust him more than they trust a lot of the others. Meg agreed and thought that he would be fun to have in jury. Jason said that he does not want Audrey, Austin and Vanessa in jury. The four discussed that they have been up late talking a lot lately. Meg said that the “Late Night Crew” is kind of their alliance. Jeff agreed. He told James that Clay is getting jealous so they cannot hang out as much. Jason brought up that Steve is going to start dominating the competitions once it becomes the memory based ones about what happened on which days. Jason suggested that Austin is less threatening. Jason said that the perfect scenario for them would be to get rid of Audrey, Vanessa, Steve and then finally Austin over the next few weeks. Meg and Jason thought that Vanessa should go before Austin, while James and Jeff thought the opposite. Jason said that they can lose Da’Vonne but they need to get one of those others out next. Meg and Jeff told Jason that it is honestly better for his game that Da’Vonne goes. Jason agreed even though he thought that Da'Vonne would still be targeted before him if she stayed.
