BB17 Day 19 - Da'Vonne catches on to the twin twist and also earns the takeover power
July 6, 2015
10:00-11:00 AM: Da’Vonne spoke to Jason about how her downfall was that she doesn’t know how to be fake. She said that she was trying to learn every day. Da’Vonne said that she has nothing to say to anybody in the house, not even James or Jeff. She was not happy that nobody was honest with her about the plan to nominate Meg last night. She mentioned that Meg didn’t even come talk to her until she saw Jason talking to her. Jason said that he knows that he can’t go to the Final 4 with that group. Da’Vonne looked to the camera and asked to be sent the coup d’etat. She said that she would be eternally grateful for it. She asked Jeff to help her out. Meanwhile, Liz was talking to Meg and thanked her for taking one for the team. She said that she knew that her name was being thrown out there as a possibility but she felt that Da’Vonne may have been able to flip the votes on her. Meg said that Da’Vonne would have gone either way but she understands. Liz assured Meg that she would have her vote and said that she will be 100% safe. Liz thanked Meg again and pointed out that she has taken her turn this week and now she should not have to be the one that goes up next time.
12:00-1:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto ceremony. John used the Power of Veto on himself. Shelli nominated Meg as the replacement nominee. Meg spoke to James and said that it sucks being on the block but people are being nice to her and comforting her so far. James said that he figured that Meg would be the one to go up. Outside, Da’Vonne told Steve that she distanced herself from him because she was hearing that what she was telling him was getting back to Audrey. Steve said that’s not true. Da’Vonne then told Steve that things that she has only told him got back to her through Audrey. Da’Vonne also said that she was hurt that Steve comforted Audrey after the blow up but did not do the same for her. Steve said that he tried but felt that she didn’t want to talk. Da’Vonne told Steve that it felt as though he was always approaching her for strategic reasons, not to actually comfort her. Da’Vonne explained that she is talking to Steve because she wants him to be careful, since she knows that she is out the door unless the takeover saves her. Da’Vonne said that she doesn’t want to campaign against Meg, seeing as everyone seems to have made up their minds.
3:00-4:00 PM: Da’Vonne has figured out the twin twist. Da’Vonne went to Jason and told him that sometimes Liz’s face is very skinny with her nose pulled to the front, while other times her face is really fat and pie faced. Jason said that’s true. Da’Vonne also mentioned that the eyes are different. She said that the girl in there now is not the same one as last night. Jason said that he will stare at Liz later. Da’Vonne felt that it was ridiculously obvious. She said that she had noticed it in the past but figured that she was just tripping. Jason pointed out that Liz is definitely much more friendly to her on some days compared to others. Da’Vonne felt that the one in there last night was the friendly one and this one is not so much. Da’Vonne said that if there are twins it could explain why Liz did not remember throwing a pillow at her and then later did. Da’Vonne felt that the current twin was wearing a hat because her roots are showing more so than the other’s. Da’Vonne said that she is going to go to the diary room and bring this up as soon as the outdoor lockdown is over. Jason said that they wont tell her, but Da’Vonne said that she will try anyway.
4:00-5:00 PM: Jason mentioned to Da’Vonne that it is a shame that Liz is not on the block, since they could have used this as leverage. Da’Vonne told him to hold on to that information for later. Da’Vonne said that she could not believe how long it took her to figure this out about Liz. Da’Vonne said that the one in the house right now is not the one that came in to the house on Day 1. She let Jason know that she is going to look at Liz’s memory wall photo once she gets back in to the house. She pointed out that one of the twins has green eyes while the other has grey eyes.
6:00-7:00 PM: The feeds were down for a while as the houseguests were informed about this week’s BB Takeover twist. They received their phone calls and also know that votes will be eliminated. Meg was talking to Audrey, Clay and Shelli, saying that this is freaking her out now. She said that it is not as safe feeling as it was before. Audrey said that she can only see Da’Vonne getting one or two votes. Clay and Shelli agreed that it wont impact anything. Elsewhere, Steve asked Vanessa if she thought that the vote would be within three votes. Vanessa said no but thought that it could now be due to the power. She then took that back, remembering that Meg is on the block. Steve agreed, saying that if it was someone on their side on the block then it may have made a difference. Vanessa pointed out that it will be boring television since the twist wont work. Steve said they are trying. Everyone was speculating about who got the power. Shelli went through the order of the calls and said that Da’Vonne was seventh, which would mean that she won the power to nullify three votes. It was later confirmed by Da'Vonne that she received the power. However, the other houseguests do not know that the seventh call was the one that was for the power.
7:00-8:00 PM: Jeff informed Austin that he had told Audrey that he is going after Austin next. Jeff said that he wanted to be upfront with Austin about it because Audrey would probably bring it back to him. Jeff told Austin that he could tell Audrey that he is after him as well. Austin and Jeff then began talking about who should be targeted before jury. Jeff mentioned Audrey and Steve as the next two to go, though he questioned who the third should be. Austin named Becky and John as potential options. Jeff said that Becky should go well before John. Austin thought that she would be the tougher one to get out since she is strong in competitions. Austin then spoke to James, reassuring him that he is not targeting him. Austin figured that James may think that he would be after him due to the whole Jace thing, but that is not the case. James told Austin that he is good with him as well.
Clay talked to Shelli about how Audrey cannot be trusted. Shelli was questioning what Audrey has done that there is actually evidence of, because nobody seems to be able to tell her Audrey actually did. Clay listed off a couple of things that he admit were minor in nature, though he said that that is irrelevant. He explained that if it came down to selling Shelli out or leaving the game, he would choose to leave the game. If Audrey was faced with that same decision, Clay figured that she would sell them out or turn on them in order to stay in the game. He figured that Audrey does not care about them in the game, despite any personal connections that they have. Clay then brought up that Jeff was talking about bringing Vanessa in to their alliance, though he told Jeff that it’s not the best idea at least until Austin is gone. Clay figured that Vanessa would tell Austin things, which would force them to pull in either both or neither of the two. Shelli said that she would be fine with bringing Vanessa in regardless. However, she felt that Jeff needs to stick to the five and stop trying to pull people in. They then talked about the twist. Clay pointed out that he had stated that he wanted to go for the seventh call, and then Da’Vonne decided to hang out in front of the phone booth at that point. Shelli didn’t think that she did it only for that reason, explaining that seven is a popular number. Clay assumed that Da’Vonne had received the power, since he guessed that the 7th call recipient would get it since it is “BB17”. Clay thought that this was set up for Da’Vonne to win, in order to make things interesting since it was going to be a unanimous vote.
8:00-9:00 PM: John and Steve chatted in the backyard. Some of the houseguests were hanging out in the backyard, discussing the BB Takeover. John asked Da’Vonne if she chose the seventh call due to a religious thing. Da’Vonne said no and that something in her gut just told her to jump up and answer that call. She said that she would have answered all of the calls if allowed.
9:00-10:00 PM: Steve and Vanessa discussed the votes. Steve said that Meg has too many friends for anyone to want to vote her out. Vanessa said that this game is hard and she feels as though everyone in the house has a pair. Steve said that they have already had this conversation and he does want to pair up with her. Vanessa wanted to as well. Steve said that the only reason that he did not approach her about it again after their initial talk was that he thought that she was having reservations about him cause she thought that he was lying about his outside life. Steve came up with the name “SOS” (Students of Sound) for their duo. Vanessa said that she loves it. Steve said it’s his first actual alliance of the summer. Vanessa said that it’s the same for her. Steve told Vanessa that he has not lied to her but he wants to tell her something. He said that he is Steven, not Steve, in his outside life. He explained that Steven and Ian were too similar so he did not want to go by Steven. Had Ian not won Big Brother 14, Steve said that he would be going by Steven.
Jason told James that he thinks that there are twins in the house but it’s not John like he had originally suspected. Jason told James to pay attention to Liz. He said that she looks really skinny today and was not that skinny yesterday. Jason also pointed out that she is much friendlier on certain days. Next up, Jason went to Meg and pointed out that there is a “skinny Liz” and a “heavy Liz”. Jason said that he is sure that the twins switched today. He told Meg to ask her questions to see if they can catch her. Jason felt that there was a big difference between the two if you really look at them. Meg thought that Liz had such a distinct voice that it would be hard to pull off. Jason told her that the skinny Liz has a deeper voice. Meg said that it seems so weird but she will have to investigate. Jason brought up that the twins in Big Brother 5 got to enter after five weeks. He suggested that they will need to take a shot at Liz if they get the chance, since they will be dealing with two Liz’s in about three weeks if not.
11:00-12:00 AM: Jeff and Jackie chatted in the HoH room. Jeff said that he got approached by Austin, Liz and Vanessa about an alliance. He said that he didn’t commit to it and doesn’t plan on revisiting it for a while. They discussed who they would like to see go before jury. Jeff said that he wants Audrey, Austin, Steve, Vanessa, Liz and Becky to go in that order. Jeff figured that Clay or Shelli would be the first to go out of their alliance. Jeff mentioned that he loves Clay to death but he feels as though they will see a new side of him later on in the game. Jackie asked if Jeff plans to work with them until the end. Jeff said not until the end, since they would pick each other over them. Jeff thought that John would be a good person to bring to the end. As for Meg, Jeff felt that she would be someone that would definitely go before the Final 3 because she is someone that nobody could beat at the end due to her likability. Jackie and Jeff agreed that it would be great if the two of them would make it to the end together.
2:00-3:00 AM:Da’Vonne and Jason discussed that she only needs five votes now that she can nullify three. She mentioned that she will nullify the votes of Becky, Jackie and Clay. They talked about Da’Vonne’s five potential votes being from Jason, Vanessa, Liz, Steve and John. Jason felt that John and Steve would be a package deal. Da’Vonne thought that she could get Vanessa’s vote. She said that she for sure has Liz’s vote. Jason asked which Liz she has. Da’Vonne said “the fat one”. Jason said hopefully she will be back in by Thursday, though she likely wont be. Da’Vonne then went to John to ask if she has his vote. He said yes. Da’Vonne made John shake on it, telling him that he will be the swing vote if she can rally the other votes that she is working on. Da’Vonne followed that up by going to Vanessa and then to Steve to tell them that she needs their votes. They agreed to talk more later. John went upstairs to the HoH room and told Clay, Jeff and Shelli that Da’Vonne asked for his vote and he said yes, though he is not going to vote that way. John said that Da’Vonne made it seem as though he would be the swing vote. They asked John to figure out which votes Da’Vonne thinks she has.
Da’Vonne was outside alone, going over the votes. She said that Liz is a twin so she needs to remember which one she made the agreement with to vote for her. As for John, she said that he is questionable and she knows that he threw the Battle of the Block. Da’Vonne figured that she would have to convince everyone that she is only going after Audrey, though she really isn’t. Da’Vonne explained that her plan is to go after Clay and Shelli. She said that they need to be broken up. She discussed a plan that involved nominating Audrey and Shelli on opposite sides, with a plan to backdoor Clay. Da’Vonne was frustrated that doing so would mean that Audrey gets another week, though she said that Shelli had the chance to take her out and she would be staying in the game at Shelli’s expense. Jason joined Da’Vonne and was filled in on her thoughts. Da’Vonne said that she wants to figure out something that she can do where she doesn’t slander Meg. Jason told her that it is becoming clear that James and Jeff are a thing and Meg is associated with them, so she could always use that.
3:00-4:00 AM: Da’Vonne, James, Jason and Meg informed Jeff about Liz having a twin. Jackie also joined them outside and learned of the news. Jason said that they need to get them out of the house because they are the twist. Jeff said it’s no wonder why Liz keeps begging him to make sure that she makes it to jury. Jason said that she wants to be there until her sister gets to come in. Jeff pointed out that one of the twins doesn’t like Austin and wants to turn on him while the other doesn’t. Jason said that the one only hangs out with Austin to work out with him because she is trying to get skinny like her sister. Jason told them that Audrey needs to go but Liz is a high priority, because they are going to regret it if they do not get the twins out. Jeff said that they need to figure out if they are actually right about this. Jason said that he is positive that they are right, adding that he would put his stipend on it. Da’Vonne said that they are 100% right. Steve then made his way outside and found out about the twins. Meanwhile, Jeff ran upstairs to tell Clay and Shelli about the news. Shell mentioned that Liz always picks the same colour to paint her nails when they do their nails together. Shelli said that she thinks that it is super cool and she is excited. After Jeff left, Clay and Shelli discussed that Audrey may be able to survive next week if this is true.
4:00-5:00 AM: Da’Vonne, Jason, James, Meg, Jeff, Steve, Clay, Shelli and Jackie gathered around the memory wall and begun analyzing Liz’s photo. Jason told Jeff that they are getting the twist out and he doesn’t care if Jeff had wanted to bang them in jury. They agreed that they will have one of their “podcasts” tomorrow, grilling Liz throughout it. Da’Vonne said that she knows that she is going home this week but the rest of them have to get Liz out next week. Everyone continued to discuss the twins and their opinions on the two. The consensus is that Liz is the smarter and friendlier one. Some begun referring to Julia as the evil twin. Clay and Shelli headed back up to the HoH room. Shelli informed Clay that during finals she was asked to call her twin brother to have him fly down because Big Brother had interest in putting him on the show. She told Clay that he cannot tell anyone but there was definitely interest in a twin twist. Shelli said that she doesn’t even know if she would have nominated Liz had she known all of this information ahead of time, since she finds the whole thing exciting. They then celebrated that Liz will go home next week and Audrey can make it through and then take out some players, such as James.
