BB17 Day 30 - Nominations and the BoB take place; Audrey becomes a target
July 17, 2015
9:00-10:00 AM: Austin and Liz discussed nominations in one room, while Clay and Shelli discussed them in the other. Shelli felt that she needed Vanessa’s help. Vanessa then met up with all four of them to go over the plan. Liz wanted to nominate Jackie and James, with Jackie being the target if they both remain nominated. Clay said that Jason needs to go and they are thinking about asking John to throw the Battle of the Block again in order to help get Jason out. Vanessa was concerned about how much information John has, particularly about Clay and Shelli getting people to throw competitions. She thought that it could be risky to put John up and potentially have him expose that. Vanessa told them that she believes that the best combination is the one that she mentioned last night. Liz would nominate Becky and Jackie, while Shelli would nominate Jason and Steve. Shelli said that she would prefer to nominate Steve than John, since John is more closely aligned with them.
Clay said that the move that will get the least amount of blood on her hands would be to nominate John and have him throw it. Shelli mentioned that she has already nominated John, so that is less blood on her hands to do it again as opposed to nominating someone new. Then plan temporarily changed to Shelli nominating Jason and Meg. Shelli then began venting about how the easy move is to nominate Audrey. She said that Audrey is making her a crazy person and she doesn’t know why they are protecting her. She quickly backed off of that idea. Austin said that Audrey could be a backdoor option. Liz settled on nominating Jackie and James. Clay went downstairs to talk to John. Clay asked him if he is comfortable throwing the Battle of the Block, because they really want to get Jason out and Shelli’s options are limited. Clay clarified that John should only do it if he feels comfortable with it. John was unsure if he would have the votes. Clay assured him that he would. He told John that someone like Steve or Audrey will go up if Jason wins the PoV. John eventually agreed to the plan. Clay then went upstairs to tell Shelli that John is on board with throwing the competition. Feeds then went down for the nomination ceremony.
11:00-12:00 PM: The nomination ceremony took place. Liz nominated Jackie and James for eviction. Shelli nominated Jason and John for eviction. When feeds returned, Jackie was in the HoH room talking to Liz. She asked about whether or not she is the target. Liz assured her that she is not. Liz filled Austin in on her talk with Jackie. Austin said that he would be fine with Liz remaining HoH and Jackie going home. James made his way up to the HoH room to talk to Liz. He said that he knows that it was a tough decision and he will not hold any grudges. Liz assured James that he is not the target. Austin said that Jackie would go home over him if nominations stayed the same. Shelli spoke to Jason and told him that she would understand if he nominates her if he wins HoH. Jason said that he probably wont. He told Shelli that it’s okay that she nominated him. He said that he understands that it’s easiest to keep nominating the same people. Shelli then spoke to John, explaining to him that she freaked out this morning and nominated him because she had already done that once before. Shelli told John that she is not asking him to throw the competition. She said that he deserves to get up there and fight, so she would never ask him to throw another competition. John told Shelli that Audrey tried to make a Final 2 deal with him, which he went along with. Shelli asked if John would want Audrey to be backdoored if Liz remains HoH. He said yes.
12:00-1:00 PM: Audrey continued to chat with Shelli, telling her that she thinks that they need to target Jason. Shelli said that Jason is the target. Audrey asked Shelli if she could talk to John about throwing the Battle of the Block. Audrey asked Shelli if she could clear things up with Jason that she did not mention that he was after Shelli since a while back when she said that she fears that Jason would come after her and Shelli for getting Da’Vonne out. Shelli was okay with that. Audrey then went to Jason and explained that she hadn’t said anything to Shelli about him being after her since they had a talk and cleared things up. Audrey mentioned that it seemed like a cop out that Shelli would say that. Jason told Audrey that he is not mad at either of them and she doesn’t have to worry as long as she is being honest about not having said anything since they spoke and cleared the air with each other.
1:00-2:00 PM: Shelli told Clay that she didn’t want to tell the whole story about her talk with Audrey in front of Austin. She retold the conversation in depth, telling Clay that John said that Audrey offered him a Final 2. She also said that John told her that Audrey is very skeptical and nervous about Steve. Shelli had previously thought that Audrey and Steve may be working together, but now she thinks that Audrey is getting close to John since she is worried about Steve. They agreed that they have to do what they can to keep John on their side. Clay was concerned that Audrey would try to turn John on them. Shelli mentioned that Audrey is speculating that Austin, Liz and Vanessa are working with Steve. Clay didn’t think so. Meanwhile, Vanessa had pulled Steve aside and told him that Clay and Shelli are on to the fact that he is working with herself, Austin and Liz. Vanessa told Steve that Clay and Shelli were going to nominate him. Vanessa assured Steve that she has his back but she does not want him to let this conversation get back to her. Audrey spoke to Clay and Shelli, telling them that John is not going to throw the Battle of the Block. She said that she did not even ask him because he said that he is going to fight. Audrey did not want John to win HoH, because she feels that her relationship with him may be damaged now that he is on the block and may think that she knew about it. Audrey asked if she could use the PoV on John to rebuild trust with him. Clay said no, while Shelli did not give a clear answer. Audrey questioned why Steve wasn’t nominated, which led to Clay questioning her about why she is so against Steve. Audrey said that she believes in her heart that he voted to evict James.
2:00-3:00 PM: Liz and Julia switched places. Julia is now back in the house. She headed up to the HoH room to talk to Austin and get caught up on what happened while she was gone. Julia said that she feels bad being there. She explained that Liz deserves to be there since she won HoH. Austin asked if she knows how long she will be there. Julia revealed that she will be in the house until Monday. In the other HoH room, Shelli was venting to Clay about Audrey. She said that her blood pressure rises when Audrey walks in to the room. Clay said that he has felt that way for a while. Clay discussed a conversation that him and Shelli had with Jason earlier in the afternoon. He said that he feels more comfortable with Jason now and they could always use the PoV on John, make a deal with Jason, and backdoor Audrey. Shelli suggested that a double eviction would be a better time to get rid of Audrey. She said that she doesn’t know if she can be the one to make that move. Shelli and Clay eventually discussed their ideal alliance. Clay told Shelli to pick two more people to join them and Vanessa. Shelli chose John and Steve, which Clay agreed with.
7:00-8:00 PM: Feeds returned following the Battle of the Block competition. Jackie and James won the Battle of the Block. Liz has been dethroned. Shelli remains HoH. James told Jackie and Clay that if he wins the Power of Veto he will use it on John. John told Austin that James has been saying that but he doesn’t know if it’s true and he will still pick Austin if he gets houseguest’s choice.
8:00-9:00 PM: James went up to the HoH room to speak to Clay and Shelli. James told Shelli that Audrey is mad at her for using her as a scapegoat with something to do with Jason. James also said that Audrey told him that Clay and Shelli knew about him getting put up ahead of time and knew about what was going on last week as well. Shelli said that it was a last minute decision today and Audrey was not even involved. James continued on saying that Audrey mentioned that Shelli is naive to think that she would stay over her if they are nominated together, since people will want to break the couple up. Finally, James said that Audrey told him that people are insane if they think that Clay and Shelli will take anyone but each other to Final 2. At that point, both Clay and Shelli said that Audrey has got to go.
Audrey was crying to Clay, saying that people stop talking when she walks in the room. She was also concerned that Shelli slipped up and threw her under the bus to Jason. Audrey was paranoid that Shelli told Vanessa that she has been questioning her, since Vanessa approached her to ask if she has been. Audrey continued on about Shelli having thrown her under the bus, even though Shelli is smart and wouldn’t make a mistake like that. Clay assured her that it was not intentional and that Shelli was going on no sleep and has squashed that with Jason already. Audrey also wondered how Clay and Shelli did not know Liz’s plans. Clay said that Liz isn’t in their group. Audrey questioned why she isn’t. Clay said that they don’t want to bring her in until her sister enters. Audrey questioned if that is confirmed. Clay said that it’s an assumption but everyone is sold on it.
Shelli spoke to Vanessa in the HoH room. She said that she does not trust Austin anymore and will not talk game in front of him. Vanessa had some concerns that Austin’s loyalties were shifting and that he is playing emotionally due to his connection with the twins. Shelli continued her talk with Vanessa, telling her about Audrey making a Final 2 deal with John. Clay came upstairs to fill the girls in on his talk with Audrey. He said that she is crying because she feels so guilty and is paranoid that she will be backdoored by Shelli. Clay and Shelli asked Vanessa if she made a Final 2 with Audrey, because Audrey is saying that she did. Vanessa denied it. Vanessa said that Audrey is incapable of true loyalty and will do anything to protect herself.
9:00-10:00 PM: Shelli and Vanessa continued to talk about Audrey. Shelli caught Vanessa up on what happened between her and Audrey with regards to Jason and also on what James talked to her about. Shelli said that Audrey is claiming that Vanessa has a Final 2 with John. Vanessa denied that. She also said that Audrey claims that Vanessa approached her about a Final 2 and likely has one with Austin. Vanessa said that Audrey is talking about herself whenever she says “Vanessa”. They agreed that Audrey is pushing them away and that she has no loyalty. Vanessa told Shelli that Audrey will have none of her loyalty if she is going to be fighting so hard against her. She assured Shelli that if she backdoors Audrey she would have her vote and she would also get Austin and Liz on board with the plan.
12:00-1:00 AM: Clay told Shelli that Audrey has got to be backdoored. Shelli said “we’ll see”. Clay pointed out that what Audrey said to James is terrible and she has done this over and over. Clay questioned how Shelli could not send Audrey home after what they heard from James. Shelli said that she is not saying that she wont backdoor Audrey. Shelli wanted to hear what Audrey had to say for herself after sleeping on things. Shelli said that it’s a slap in the face that Audrey wont let go of the one mistake that she made after all that she has done for Audrey. Clay said that he would make a deal with the devil to send Audrey home. He added that he will have no sympathy for Audrey if she goes around crying and sobbing if she goes on the block. He told Shelli that it would be a great opportunity to mend things with Jason and cut a deal if she saves him by backdooring Audrey.
3:00-4:00 AM: Audrey spoke to Clay and Shelli in the HoH room. Shelli said that today is the first time that they had something weird happen between them, which caused her to doubt Audrey and need to ask questions. Shelli reiterated that she made a big mistake when she let Audrey’s name slip to Jason, but sometimes people make mistakes. Shelli said that it upset her so much that Audrey immediately began questioning if she could trust her over that one mistake that she admitted to. Audrey said that she was confused because they all worked together last week and then she was the only one that wasn’t allowed in the HoH room this morning. Shelli explained to Audrey that when she is paranoid and comes at her during her moments of panic it is damaging their friendship. Audrey pointed out that she felt that she had been doing better for the past week and then this caused Jason to be talking crap about her to a big group. Shelli admitted that those are the things that they need to talk about but Audrey tried to turn the conversation in to all sorts of game talks and imply that she cannot trust her.
Audrey admitted that she feels uneasy about Clay because of the way that he abandoned her when he felt that she had crossed them, though he acted totally different when he found out that Jeff had done the same thing. Audrey said that it really hurt her because she had a lot of trust in Clay. Audrey told Shelli that she made an investment in her and therefore she is the one person that she will not cross, since she stood up for her when everyone else treated her poorly. Shelli told Audrey that her paranoia is going to get the best of her. Audrey said that people do not understand that no one has had to try to overcome what she has had to for the past 3.5 weeks. Audrey explained that her back has been against the wall 24/7. Shelli told Audrey that she has her group of people and she cannot be so focused on everything that happened during the first week due to the initial blowup. Audrey said that she is moving on from that but there will always be a part of her that trusts Shelli a little bit more than she trusts Clay.
5:00-6:00 AM: Clay and Shelli spoke in bed. Shelli said that there are lots of different scenarios that can play out based on who wins PoV, including one in which Jason could go home. She said that she does not really want that to happen. Clay agreed. Shelli said that she doesn’t know if it’s the smart time to backdoor Audrey. Clay told Shelli to look out for her own game but know that Audrey is lying and does not care about them in this game. Clay advised Shelli not to get sucked back in by Audrey’s sob stories after all of the things that she has done over and over again. Clay questioned why they are sticking their necks out for Audrey when she is lying to their faces. Clay said that Audrey put herself in this situation and he doesn’t feel bad for her due to that reason. Clay said that it’s Shelli’s decision and he wouldn’t expect her to put Audrey up but he trusts Jason more than he trusts Audrey. Clay said that his only worry about Shelli putting Audrey up is that she wouldn’t go home, though he couldn’t see that happening. Shelli said that she will talk to Vanessa about this tomorrow. She then asked Clay what he thinks about Austin going on the block. Clay said that she would have to run it by Vanessa. Shelli mentioned that the other option is not to use the Power of Veto, but it seems like a waste to evict Jason. Shelli said that she will tell Vanessa everything that she has heard about Austin. Shelli mentioned that they would lose a number in Austin and would also potentially lose Liz. Clay said that he would target Audrey over Austin but said to only put her up if she knows that she will leave.
Vanessa told Austin that Audrey is stirring stuff up and was even getting in Shelli’s ear about her last week while she was HoH. Vanessa explained that Audrey told Shelli that Austin and Vanessa have a Final 2 and they also have a Final 3 with Liz. On top of that, Vanessa said that Audrey is claiming that she came to her about a Final 2. Austin asked if they have anything to worry about with Shelli this week. Vanessa told Austin that he doesn’t but Shelli cannot stand Audrey. Vanessa told Austin that she was told not to tell him these things, so he cannot bring it up. Vanessa said that after the veto players are picked they may need to make an agreement that everyone will use it to backdoor Audrey. Austin said that his goal is to protect Shelli and Clay and he hopes that Audrey will not get in their heads. Vanessa said that Audrey has Shelli paranoid that they are working with Steve as well. Vanessa mentioned that Audrey is very smart and on to things, then she is getting in to Shelli’s ear. Austin said that he needs nominations to stay the same so that Shelli doesn’t backdoor them. Vanessa said that she wants Audrey backdoored. Austin agreed but did not want it to be them by some chance. Vanessa told Austin that Clay and Shelli are concerned that he doesn’t have tight lips. Vanessa advised him to continue to have tight lips and then also badmouth Audrey to Clay and Shelli. Vanessa said that Audrey has got to go home and she is hardcore gunning for her. Austin said she is done.
