BB17 Day 31 - Vanessa wins the PoV

July 18, 2015

10:00-11:00 AM: Shelli and Vanessa discussed Austin. Vanessa said that Austin is irresponsible at times but he is trustworthy and loyal to the group, even though he slips up unintentionally at times. They were discussing that Austin told Shelli that John approached him to play in the veto competition if he gets houseguest’s choice, while John said that it was the other way around. Vanessa said that she wants to play in the veto competition since Audrey had the audacity to throw her under the bus after everything that she did for her last week in attempt to clean up her image. Vanessa told Shelli that she loathes Audrey and wants to win PoV, use it and say that “I hope you put up Audrey”. Vanessa said that she will call Audrey out so badly, since she has so much to use. Vanessa told Clay and Shelli that Audrey is panicking because she thinks that she told Clay and Shelli everything that was said to her by Audrey. Vanessa went on to say that she is boiling inside and there will be an explosion that involves massive amounts of emotion. Vanessa said that Audrey took advantage of her heart.

Shelli cautioned Vanessa about exploding, saying that you wouldn’t want to do that two weeks in a row and look like a loose cannon. Vanessa continued talking to Clay, saying that she doesn’t think that Audrey is a good person, seeing as she took advantage of they sympathy given towards her. Vanessa figured that Audrey was feeling threatened about the two of them and Shelli working together. They wondered who it would be better to have Audrey nominated against. Clay thought John, while Vanessa thought Jason. Either way, Vanessa figured that she would definitely go home. Clay said that Shelli is paranoid that Audrey will stay if she goes on the block. Vanessa asked Clay if he is having the same concerns about Austin that Shelli is. Clay thought that Austin has been looking out for himself more so than the group. Clay mentioned that he would not be upset if someone targeted Austin and sent him out. Vanessa said that keeping Austin around is good for the next few weeks since Liz and Julia will be in the house together. Before wrapping up their talk, Clay told Vanessa that when they talk to Shelli about the whole Audrey situation they cannot force it on her.

11:00-12:00 PM: After a trip to the diary room, Shelli spoke to Clay and was crying. She said that she wants to trust Audrey and she doesn’t understand why Audrey can’t just put some trust in to her. Clay told Shelli that she has done so much for Audrey in this game and she does not deserve her time. He added that she is a threat to them and she has voiced that directly. Clay felt that Shelli was risking her game for someone that is not even helping her game. Shelli said that that’s a good point. That being said, Clay told her that if she doesn’t want to be the one to put Audrey up then she shouldn’t do it. Clay said that he would do everything that he can to win next week and do it himself if not. Shelli was concerned that there could be a twist that saves Audrey and then she might come after Clay out of spite. Clay again told Shelli not to make the move if she is not comfortable with it. Shelli pointed out that she would need concrete evidence if she makes the move, which would expose what James told to her and also what Vanessa has confirmed or denied. Clay figured that James would be fine with exposing what he said since Audrey would be going home. Vanessa talked to Shelli and asked her if she is ready to make this move. Shelli said that she is not but she is considering it. Vanessa assured Shelli that she would have her support and that she would do everything she can to campaign against Audrey. She guaranteed that Austin and Liz would vote whichever way Shelli wanted and that Audrey would 100% go home.

2:00-3:00 PM: Players were picked for the veto competition. Shelli, Jason, John, James, Meg and Vanessa will be playing. Steve is hosting. Meg spoke to Clay, Shelli and Vanessa in the HoH room, saying that she would use the PoV on Jason if she wins it. She said that James would do that as well. Meg and Vanessa discussed that the whole house wants Audrey out. They said that they could even get the whole house in a room together to discuss it beforehand. Clay mentioned that Shelli is a bit concerned about a twist saving Audrey. James also joined in on the conversation. James, Meg and Vanessa all said that they would be willing to target Audrey next week if that happened. Vanessa told Shelli that it’s best for her not to be the one to win, since she would then have to use it and name the replacement nominee. Shelli ultimately agreed. James, Meg and Vanessa said that they would expect it to be a unanimous vote if Audrey went on the block. Shelli told everyone in the room that she does not want them to go downstairs and say that she is backdooring Audrey, because she is flipping out right now. She said that she needs time to think.

Vanessa headed downstairs and told Austin that she would almost guarantee that Audrey gets backdoored. Austin said that it will change everything. He pointed out that it will help Shelli build relationships with Jason and some others, so it’s good for her game. Audrey then interrupted and ask what is being said upstairs. Vanessa said that she was told to play to win and that’s it. Audrey then spoke to James, who said that he would likely use the veto on Jason since Jason picked him to play. Audrey asked if there were any talks about the replacement nominee. James said not yet and asked if Audrey is worried. She said that she isn’t and doesn’t think that she needs to be this week. James agreed. Audrey suggested that Steve may end up being the replacement. Back up in the HoH room, Jackie asked Shelli if her and Clay were the other two votes to evict James. Jackie said that they were not. Jackie said that she doesn’t know who the other two were, though Becky came up to her personally to say that she did not vote to keep Jeff.

4:00-5:00 PM: Clay told Shelli that if she decides to nominate Audrey then she needs to spin it to Jason that she did it in order to save him. Vanessa was in the room and told Shelli that it is best if she wins the PoV, because she will do whatever Shelli wants her to do and then she has the option to go either way with her decision. Vanessa mentioned that Audrey said that she was visualizing her winning the PoV and that she wants her to win, so it will be a big stab in the back if she uses it to backdoor Audrey. Vanessa pointed out that Audrey stabbed her in the back plenty of times before. Clay told Shelli that he believes that she needs to leave John up on the block if Audrey goes up, as Audrey would have more of a fighting chance if she is against Jason. Feeds then went down for the veto competition.

7:00-8:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Vanessa won the Power of Veto. James was first out of the competition, followed by Shelli, Meg, Jason and John. Jason spoke to Becky and said that Vanessa is closer with John than with him, so he expects her to use the veto on John. Jason told Becky that Shelli made it seem like he is not the target, but he doesn’t know whether or not it is true. Even if Audrey goes up, Jason said that she is so good at what she does that he is afraid to be nominated next to her. Becky assured Jason that he would have her vote in that scenario. Neither of them were sold on Shelli nominating Audrey, though Jason pointed out that they seemed to be done with buying what she is selling. Clay came by to briefly speak to Jason. He said that Shelli trust him over a lot of people in the house. He said that he cannot speak for her but he knows which way she is leaning, implying that it is towards nominating Audrey.

8:00-9:00 PM: This week’s have-nots were chosen. Shelli had to choose four. She got four volunteers. Audrey, Becky, Jackie and John are the have-nots for the week. They received “grunge cakes”, which is a combination of sponge cakes and gravy.

9:00-10:00 PM: Audrey helped Shelli with her hair extensions up in the HoH room. Shelli said that she didn’t want to talk any game. Audrey agreed but said that she had one thing to say. She brought up that she keeps seeing Steve and Vanessa talking. Audrey suggested that Steve may be worried that he is getting backdoored. Shelli said that she doesn’t get too concerned by those things. After they finished up with Shelli’s hair, Audrey told Shelli that the best case scenario for next week would be to have her and John win HoH, because she could talk John out of nominating Shelli. Shelli said that she is not that worried about John nominating her and she doesn’t run through every possible scenario. She told Audrey that she needs to relax because she wont be able to operate this way for the entire summer. Shelli also mentioned that it gets to her when Audrey is always thinking about game. Downstairs, Vanessa told Jason that she thinks that they will be able to work out a deal. She said that she would obviously want to make a deal if she uses the PoV. Vanessa told Jason that it would have to involve a couple of Jason’s allies. Jason told Vanessa that his only ally is Meg. Audrey then walked in and broke up the conversation.

10:00-11:00 PM: Austin and Vanessa had a quick chat about the veto situation. Austin feared that Audrey would get in Shelli’s head. Vanessa said that she will probably use the veto even if Shelli doesn’t want to nominate Audrey, since she will be able to make such a good deal. Austin was concerned that Shelli may nominate him or Liz if Vanessa did that, though Vanessa disagreed. Austin agreed that a deal with Jason would be good. Vanessa said that it wont just be Jason that she gets in on the deal. Jason and Vanessa then chatted again. Jason explained that he is only with Meg. He said that Meg is with James but he is not that in with James. Vanessa said that she will have to make sure that Shelli is on board, then she will come to Jason with an offer if so. Vanessa mentioned that the only way that she wouldn’t use it is if Shelli would target her as a result of it. Vanessa told Clay and Shelli that she thinks that she will go to Jason and make a deal, such as she is safe the next time that he wins HoH. She also planned to ask James and Meg for the same deal. Vanessa later added that she will ask them all to promise their vote to evict Audrey as well. Vanessa said that she wont use the veto if Shelli would see it as betrayal. Vanessa figured that the three of them would be in a great position if they made this move.

Clay, Shelli and Vanessa then discussed their frustrations with Audrey. Clay said that he doesn’t like that she is planning ahead to next week as if she has nothing to worry about. Vanessa said that she can’t stand that Audrey is throwing her under the bus and giving her severe anxiety. Austin joined the conversation and said that he would feel great about taking Audrey out this week. Shelli mentioned that people are trying to talk her in to this move but it’s not necessarily what she wants to do. Vanessa asked if she has Shelli’s blessing to use the veto. Shelli said yes. Shelli explained that either way she feels as though there are bigger targets out there than Jason and John. She said that the does not want to send Jason home. Vanessa asked if she would nominate Becky if it isn’t Audrey. Shelli said that it wont be Steve, since Vanessa is working with Steve. Vanessa pointed out that she had already recommended Steve. Shelli asked if she would need to blindside Audrey or prepare her for it beforehand. The others told her that she would have to blindside Audrey. They then went over potential speeches for the veto ceremony. Shelli said that the veto ceremony will be very good TV if they go through with nominating Audrey. Shelli did clarify that if she makes this move it would be a group move, not just what she personally is doing. Clay and Vanessa said that they are fine with taking the blame for it.

11:00-12:00 AM: Clay told Shelli that it is obvious what Austin, Vanessa and himself want her to do, but she has to make the decision that her gut tells her to. He said that if she has any doubts about nominating Audrey then she should not do it. Clay said that he would make the move next week if he won HoH. However, Clay pointed out that there is no reason that she shouldn’t make this move from a game standpoint. He told her that it’s evident that Audrey is hurting her game. Clay said that Shelli could use this opportunity to make any deal that she can, since this is the move that people want her to make. Clay and Shelli spoke to Jason. Shelli informed him that she has talked to Vanessa and that she is fine with Vanessa using the veto on him. Shelli wanted to create an understanding with Jason that her and Clay will not nominate him if they win HoH and he will nominate either of them. Jason agreed to it. Shelli then asked Jason who he would like to see her nominate. Jason said that Audrey would be his first choice, followed by Austin. Jason said that he could see it being a landslide to evict Audrey if she is nominated against John. Shelli asked how dangerous of a move this could be, to which Jason responded that it is the least dangerous to make it at this point relative to in the past.

1:00-2:00 AM: Vanessa told Austin that she is going to try to get protection for herself, Liz and Jackie for whenever Jason wins his next HoH. She wants to include Jackie because Jackie is the one person that she is concerned about coming after her. She figures that she can leverage that deal in to preventing Jackie from coming after her. Vanessa told Austin that he can make his own one week deal with Jason. She explained that she needs to ask for protection for the twins since they need to make it through next week. Vanessa pointed out that it could throw Jason off that she is asking for protection for Jackie instead of him. Austin was on board with the plan. Vanessa also plans to ask James and Meg to offer her safety whenever they win their next HoH.

5:00-6:00 AM: Jason told Meg that he spoke to Clay and Shelli and they told him that they could take him down. Jason said that they asked for advice about who to nominate and he said Audrey or Austin, though he thinks that it will be Audrey. Jason felt that this move would bond him with Clay and Shelli. Meg said that she would nominate Austin and Steve as well, adding that she already has her speech ready. Meg said that she doesn’t think that she would want to backdoor anyone. Jason said that he would maybe throw Liz up if he had to nominate someone else, though he figured that she would not go.

6:00-7:00 AM: Steve was awake by himself and spoke to the live feeders. He said that he wants Vanessa to use the PoV. He explained that if Jason is playing him, he is doing a very good job. Steve does not expect that Jason would come after him. Steve said that his first choice is to have Meg nominated in his place. Next week, Steve said that he would get Audrey out. He mentioned using John as a pawn to hide their alliance, though he admitted that he would not agree to do it if the roles were reversed. He talked about giving John the option. Steve said that will be too idolized if she gets Audrey out, since the person to make that move will be super liked and respected. Steve said that he did not want Shelli to be that person. He wants to be it. Therefore, Steve said that his goal for the day is to get Jason off of the block and get Meg nominated. Steve hoped to build relationships by evicting Audrey. Steve pointed out that everyone else in the Freaks and Geeks alliance has an HoH and looks fish that he does not. He wondered if he would have to continue throwing them if Audrey was gone. Steve said that his Plan B would be to backdoor James. He said that he wants Becky out sooner rather than later.
