BB17 Day 40

July 27, 2015

10:00-11:00 AM: Last night, the plan to target Jason was put in place (Details here). Vanessa asked Jackie if she knows who had the phone booth power. Jackie said yes, that it was Da’Vonne. She clarified that she knew through Jason, which Vanessa said makes a big difference. Vanessa said that she doesn’t like being lied to and she feels as though someone is lying, but it’s not Jackie that she is talking about. She assured Jackie that she has nothing to worry about and that she is sticking to her word to both her and Becky. Jackie said that she heard that Clay’s vote was not cancelled out because it would have been too obvious. She said that Da’Vonne did not once ask her for her vote, so it makes sense since she knew that she was going to be cancelling it out. Vanessa said that the info that she has gotten is making her question whether or not she is being manipulated by the group of eight. Jackie couldn’t understand why people would go against it when they basically had a free ride to the Final 8. Vanessa said that she is being backed in to a corner by multiple sides now.

Vanessa implied that there is someone that the group trusts less than they trust Austin, though she did not want to name any names. Vanessa said that certain people within their group could be using the group for this one move before they turn. Jackie questioned if this has to do with Shelli not trusting Jason. Vanessa responded by questioning if Shelli should trust him, so the talk went nowhere. Jackie said that their group of eight needs to all talk together and sort things out. She said that it’s not cool if people are trying to sway Vanessa’s decision behind the group’s back. Vanessa wondered if it was dumb to take out someone that admitted that they don’t care about winning. Jackie pointed out that anyone could say that and could cry if their game is on the line. Vanessa then brought up that Liz had spelled “Christine” incorrectly during the Battle of the Block and James helped her. Vanessa said that it’s concerning that he would do that, when the plan all along was for James to throw the competition and for Jackie to remain HoH.

11:00-12:00 PM: Vanessa headed downstairs to ask James if he pointed out that Christine was spelled incorrectly during the Battle of the Block. He admitted to doing so. Vanessa told that to Clay and Shelli, before heading back up to the HoH room to tell Jackie. Vanessa said that it upsets her that James would do that, since it is the reason that she is now in this position. Jackie said that it worked out either way, though Vanessa disagreed. James went to Jason and said that Vanessa just asked him a weird question about the spelling of Christine during the competition. He said that when Vanessa starts asking questions, it means that something is up. He felt that Vanessa was investigating something, which makes him paranoid. Jason told James not to be paranoid. James said that Vanessa was insinuating that he was the one that won the competition, even though Liz came inside after it and said that he didn’t do anything during it all. While Vanessa was in the diary room, Jackie went to Shelli to ask if something is going on. Shelli didn’t name any names or give the plan away, though she said that something is about to happen. She mentioned that it got really weird after Vanessa questioned James about the competition. She also said that Vanessa has concerns that the eight person group doesn’t really have her back. Vanessa came out of the diary room and told Shelli that the lines will be very clear after her speech and that people will know that her and Clay are 100% on board with this. Shelli was fine with that.

12:00-1:00 PM: Clay used the Power of Veto on himself. Vanessa nominated Jason as the replacement nominee. Jackie was upset and told James and Meg that she had no idea that this was about to happen. Jason told Clay and Shelli that he is not going to flip out about it and he is going to see what he can do. Jason said that he is not a major strategist and is unlikely to be able to work himself out of this position. Jason told them to work with Meg, since they had planned to be loyal to their four with Clay and Shelli. James headed up to the HoH room to talk to Vanessa. He wanted to know if this was due to what she asked him about the Battle of the Block. Vanessa said that that was just a small piece of the puzzle and that there was a lot more to it. She said that it’s a clear result of a lot of people not trusting each other within their eight person alliance. Vanessa told James that she had to go with what the majority of the people wanted. She said that he can do the math on this one and it’s blatantly clear when the line is. Vanessa told James that she has info that she will share with him once Jason leaves. She implied that Jason has done things against James and that Meg went with it by association. That being said, she did tell James that she believes that he can form something with Meg.

Jackie questioned if this was the plan the whole time. Jason said maybe and that he was definitely played. She also did not understand why the phone booth had anything to do with any of this. Jason said that Da’Vonne told him that she had the power and they discussed whose votes to cancel together. Jackie asked Clay and Shelli if they had any idea that this was coming. Clay said that the last that they heard was that Austin was the plan. Shelli said that she had a feeling that something was up this morning. Jason said that Vanessa would have been sailing with him. He figured that Vanessa expects her votes to be Austin, Liz, Steve, Jackie and John. Jackie apologized to Becky, Jason, Meg and Shelli. She said that she was obviously played for a fool and this was her fault. Shelli said that Vanessa was on board with the Austin plan originally and she is an honest player. Meg asked why they are all shocked if Vanessa is an honest player. Jason felt that Vanessa has Steve on her side and he sees him as his biggest competitor. Jason told Becky that he is going to campaign but he does not think that it will make a difference.

1:00-2:00 PM: Meg talked to Clay to ask if he knew that this was going to happen. Clay said that Austin was still the plan, as far as he knew. Clay said that Austin must have cut a deal with Vanessa and got the twins on board with her as well. Meg wondered why Vanessa would take that deal as opposed to stick to the eight person alliance that she herself created. Meg asked Clay to swear that he didn’t know. Clay simply said that Austin was the plan. Jason came in the room and said that the only way for him to stay would be if they can flip Jackie. Up in the HoH room, Liz told Vanessa that her speech was great and that people thought that Austin was going up right until she said Jason’s name. Vanessa asked if Clay and Shelli are supporting her or are throwing her under the bus. Liz figured that they are likely playing the victim and acting like they didn’t know. Vanessa said that if anyone hints that they are doing that, she will draw the line. Vanessa said that Clay and Shelli were the biggest reason behind her making this move.

James went downstairs and questioned Jason, asking what he did to him. Jason said nothing and told him not to believe anything that Austin is saying. James said that it’s not Austin saying these things. Jason asked if it was Vanessa and told James not to accuse him of things that he hasn’t done. He said that whether James believes it or not, he did nothing to him this week or in this game. He told James that he can buy what they are selling but it is not the truth. James said that he doesn’t understand why Vanessa would throw things out like that. He said that Vanessa told him that Meg was in the room and going along with what Jason said as well. Meg began crying and asked why James would believe Vanessa over them. James apologized to Jason for the way that he approached him, though he said that Jason needs to figure out why Vanessa is slandering his name. Jason said that it’s because she wants him to go home this week. James mentioned that Vanessa has info for him after Jason leaves. Jackie said that there is something weird about that and pointed out that it could be done so that Jason doesn’t get a chance to defend himself.

Vanessa explained her move to Jackie, saying that a lot of damaging information was brought to her in the past 24 hours. She said that she was forced to make a decision about who she can trust. Shelli said that she doesn’t want Jason to go. Vanessa questioned if she is saying that she didn’t want Jason to go. Shelli said that she doesn’t want anyone to leave. Vanessa asked if she is backing her decision. Shelli said that she is and understands. Vanessa told Jackie that her name was taken off of the table right away and so was anyone that could have gone up and meant that Becky would leave. Vanessa said that she had to make the right call from her game, which Jackie said that she does not have a problem with. Jackie’s concern was that she was left out of the decision making and feels as though she is on the outside. She asked Vanessa to help her with the others that know that she was in on the plan to target Austin. Vanessa agreed to help. She told Jackie that Clay and Shelli have never said anything bad about her and they always compliment her about being the most tight lipped person in the house.

Jason told James and Meg that all that Vanessa has shown is that nobody can trust her. He said that she cannot look good after she made a deal with him last week and he offered her everything. James said that they all need to go up to the HoH room and ask Vanessa what is going on. He said it may blow Vanessa’s game up but oh well. Jason said that the votes are locked in at this point, so they will have to deal with Vanessa next week. Jason told James that he was a target of hers and will be the next to go if he leaves this week. James again said that he wants to put Vanessa on blast, like she put Jeff on blast. Jason said that he can’t go create a blowup himself, since he is the one that is on the block. Jason figured that Clay and Shelli would vote for him. He said that he has confidence in them, so James and Meg will need to help him flip someone. James said that they may need to play dirty with Steve and tell him that he will be targeted next and be going on the block if he doesn’t vote to keep Jason. Jason pointed out that he will be more loyal to James and Meg than Becky would ever be. Meg said that it goes without saying.

2:00-3:00 PM: Meg told Vanessa that she was so excited to work with her and now she feels like a really dumb girl. Vanessa explained that she felt as though she would be upsetting more people if she nominated Austin than if she nominated Jason. Meg said that the worst part of it all was that she was not told about the plan ahead of time. Vanessa said that she was under pressure not to tell. She admitted that the only other people that didn’t know about it were Jackie and James. Vanessa apologized for not letting Meg know. Meg told her that everyone is pretending that they didn’t know what was going on. Vanessa said that they are liars and that it will piss her off if Clay and Shelli do that.

3:00-4:00 PM: Vanessa told Shelli that she has her back as much as Clay does and prays to God that they have hers. Shelli gave her word that they do. Vanessa said that people are going to try to turn them on each other, which is fine as long as they stick together. Vanessa later had the same conversation with Clay. Jackie and Meg discussed that Clay and Shelli were in on this plan and that every move that has been made was to benefit their games. Jackie said that Shelli and Clay wont vote for Jason. Meg said that they will act like they are. Jackie agreed, saying that they did the same thing with Jeff. Jason joined them. The three discussed that Austin, Liz, Vanessa, Clay and Shelli are aligned and that Audrey was right. Jason said that he knows that Clay and Shelli will not vote for him. James joined them and was told that Clay and Shelli are in on the plan and have been lying to say that they are not. James said that Audrey told him that Shelli looks innocent but she cannot be trusted. Jason pointed out that the “house” that people are talking about is clearly the group that Audrey called out last week. James and Meg assured Jason that he will have their votes.

Jason told Jackie, James and Meg to let this light a fire under them, since the line has been drawn. Jason told them that Shelli has had the last four HoHs. Meg said that they will need to start playing dirty soon. Jackie said that she is ready. James suggested that they pull in whoever stays this week. Jason spoke to Vanessa and told her that he doesn’t blame her for this, since he found out that Clay and Shelli were in on it. He said that he knew that those two were after him for a long time, even though they made a Final 4 with him. Vanessa said that she trusts Shelli. Jason said that she is running the game. Vanessa explained that this was not her original plan and that she did not even want to remain HoH. Jason said that he is the stupidest person ever, since he helped Vanessa study to win the HoH that she is sending him home with. Jason discussed some of the things that he has heard, such as that he was upset that Clay won PoV. He said that it is totally untrue and that he had said all along that it is safer to save Clay. He also said that Da’Vonne did have the phone booth power. Ultimately, Jason told Vanessa that she needs to beware, since he bought a lot of BS that people sold him.

4:00-5:00 PM: Shelli told Clay that people are going to be after them and they cannot let Austin or the twins go, since that is a three headed monster that they can sway people to target first. She also told Clay that they can not nominate the twins during the double eviction, because they are on their side. Meg questioned Clay about why he did not tell her the truth and decided to lie to her three times. Clay said that it’s not their job to go around and tell everybody Vanessa’s plan. Meg said that this is really make it seems like Audrey was right and that Clay, Shelli, Vanessa, Austin and Liz are aligned. Clay admitted that they are close to Vanessa but said that they are not close with Austin and Liz. Meg kept going back to the fact that Clay lied to her. She said that she is not stupid and she knows that Vanessa wouldn’t have done this if Clay and Shelli were not on board with it. Meg said that she will be loyal to Clay but she needs him to feel comfortable with telling her things. Meg said that the biggest mistake in all of this was blindsiding three people. Clay said that him and Shelli tried to get Jackie nominated since they want her out. He also said that they suggested nominating Austin so that maybe Becky would go, but they could not go against what Vanessa wanted.

6:00-7:00 PM: Clay told Jackie that when they asked if he knew anything, he didn’t say yes or no because he did know to an extent. Jackie said that Vanessa told her that they came to Vanessa. Clay said that nobody went to Vanessa but they were on board with it. Clay clarified that they did not once go up there and say that Jason needs to go on the block. Jackie asked how Clay and Shelli are feeling about it all. He said that Shelli is distraught but they supported Vanessa because they trust Vanessa. Jackie said that she doesn’t understand why it switched. Clay said that he doesn’t know why either. Jackie said that she doesn’t understand why Clay and Shelli didn’t fight it. Clay told Jackie that they didn’t feel that it was right for them to go downstairs and tell everyone the new plan. Jackie wanted to talk about it all with Vanessa there, since she didn’t explain it the same way that Clay did. She said that Vanessa made it sound like she was forced in to this. She also said that the alliance that Audrey mentioned seems to be true. Clay said that Austin and the twins are being kept around because they are expendable.

7:00-8:00 PM: Meg told Jason that she thinks that Jackie will be the next target. Jason agreed, since Clay and Shelli can’t control her. They discussed that Vanessa came out of this all looking the best. Jason and Meg agreed that Shelli would have to go before Clay. Jason said that Shelli is evil personified. Meg said that she scares the crap out of her. Meg asked who they should take out next week. Jason said that Shelli has to go but he doesn’t know if next week is the week to do it. He did say that Shelli needs to go before jury, otherwise she will manipulate the jury house. Jason said that Shelli is the house and she decides what everyone does. James said that Steve is going to float on through. Meg said that John is going to go far, since nobody is targeting him now. Jason said that he could see John winning the game, because he will be left in too long and can win his way out.

10:00-11:00 PM: Jackie told Vanessa that her concern with this move was that Clay and Shelli would assume that she is upset and then would target her out of fear that she would target them. Vanessa told Jackie that if she reassures them that she has no plans to split them up, she should be fine. Vanessa told Jackie that her name has not been thrown out there at all in talks that she has had. Clay told John that both him and Shelli are terrified of the double eviction. John said that he is too. Clay pointed out that this move kind of exposed him and Shelli, since people know that they knew about it ahead of time. John said that the good thing for him is that he really didn’t know. Clay mentioned that he had wanted to get Jackie out. John was on the same page. They discussed that Jackie is a lot tighter with the other side than they had originally thought. Clay later told Liz about wanting to target Jackie. Liz said that she plans to do the same and that Jackie is her #1 target.
