BB17 Day 42

July 29, 2015

Jason, James, Jackie and Meg came up with a last ditch plan to rally the votes late last night. Details on that here.

10:00-11:00 AM: Shelli headed up to the HoH room to catch up with Vanessa. Vanessa said that Becky brought up a good idea that they could call her and Jackie up to the HoH room together at the same time to discuss their target for the upcoming week. Vanessa said that Becky feels as though Jackie gets concerned if she does not know who the target is, because she then assumes that it is her. Shelli was concerned that Jackie would head straight downstairs to tell the others, since it is painfully obvious that she is working with that group.

11:00-12:00 PM: Shelli let Vanessa know that Meg approached her and Clay, giving them a plea about why Jason should be saved over Becky. She said that Meg claims that Vanessa is one of the people that she feels best about in the house, which confused her. Vanessa said that it confuses her as well. Vanessa told Shelli that they cannot undo what they have already done and they have to stick to the plan to keep Becky, who is on their side. She pointed out that Jason will always have a seed of doubt about them, no matter what deal they make with him. Vanessa said that even though Becky is more strategic than she lets on, she is not as strategic as the two of them and Clay combined. She said that the competitions that Becky is good at, Clay is as good at or better at. As for Jason, none of them are as good at the things that he is good at. Vanessa said that if they brought Jason on board, they would have to bring James and Meg aboard too, which would mean that there are no targets left. Shelli agreed and said that they would also lose John if they evicted Becky. Shelli told Vanessa that her and Clay were thinking about making Jackie, James and Meg believe that they will vote Becky out, so that Jackie does it and then Becky will turn on Jackie. Vanessa said that it’s smart but the risk is if it leaks out then people like John and Steve could actually evict Becky. Shelli said that they could tell Steve the plan ahead of time.

Clay joined Shelli and Vanessa in the HoH room. He told them that he was just talking to John and he told him that Becky is so much happier now that she is on their side. Clay said that he sees Becky targeting Austin, Steve or the twins if she wins HoH. Vanessa said that Becky told her that she is targeting James. All three discussed that they may need to target Becky and John during the double eviction. Vanessa said that John might be the better one to target, since Becky would be alone and John would still have Steve. Clay said that he doesn’t think that Becky would hold a grudge if John left, since she has nowhere to go but to them. Shelli said that Becky without John would weaken Becky, while taking Becky out would not impact John. Clay said that they need to start planting seeds to have others target Becky and John during the double eviction.

Shelli asked Vanessa how she feels about Meg. Vanessa said that she is the least closest to Meg out of anyone in the house. Shelli suggested that it may be because Vanessa isn’t concerned about Meg. Vanessa agreed. Vanessa said that she could probably trust Meg, since she wants to find strong players to ride with. However, Vanessa questioned what Meg brings to the table other than being someone that can’t win if she gets deep in the game. Vanessa’s concern is that if Meg gets too deep then people would pick her over them. Clay said that Meg would be loyal to them for the rest of the game. Vanessa said that she is willing to take Meg to a certain point but if you let her get too far it’s a mistake. Vanessa pointed out that if Meg sits back and chills she can likely get to the Final 7 just by coasting. Vanessa said that they would need something in return for protecting Meg, such as her telling them whenever they are a target for people on the other side. They went back to discussing whether or not Clay and Shelli should lead the other side to believe that they are voting to keep Jason. Vanessa said that they could just ask Jackie if she will keep Jason if they do, then change their mind about doing it and use that information against her later. She later said that they could simply tell Becky that Meg approached Clay and Shelli for votes, which clearly means that she had Jackie on board.

12:00-1:00 PM: Vanessa told Austin that the whole other side of the house was planning to target him before this week, though they didn’t tell her or Clay and Shelli. She said that it just so happened that his lie to her led to her playing right in to their plan. Austin mentioned that it’s weird that Jackie and Meg have become so tight out of nowhere. Liz said that Meg always latches herself on to a buddy. Liz asked Vanessa if Jackie has talked to her about working together. Vanessa said that she does not talk game with her. They then talked about how important tomorrow’s HoH competition is. Austin said that it sucks that Julia wont be there until right when the competition is about to begin, because they can’t fill her in on everything. Liz said that Julia knows that the pressure is on, since she wants to win so badly because she won an HoH. Liz said that it’s twin motivation. Liz then gave Austin his motivation, telling him that he will get a kiss from her if he wins HoH. She also agreed that he will get it if Austin is in the last three with the twins and lets them have HoH.

3:00-4:00 PM: Jason asked Meg if he should mention solidifying a five with Vanessa when he talks to Clay and Shelli. Meg said to make it sounds as though it is what the two of them have always talked about doing. Meg told Jason that Clay and Shelli are worried about Jackie. Meg said that Jason may have to say that they can control Jackie once Becky is gone. Meg told Jason that she has realized that Shelli responds to paranoia and Clay responds to loyalty. Up in the HoH room, Jackie told Vanessa that she is confused as to where she stands in the house. Vanessa said that she should feel very good. Jackie was concerned about Shelli and Clay, since she questions them a lot and they don’t like it. Jackie said that she needs to talk to them, though she is concerned that they will then question her. Vanessa said that she has a right to talk to those two and ask some questions. Jackie said that she is not after them and still has her same targets. Vanessa said that they do too and people just pounced on the opportunity to take out a bigger target this week. Jackie said that she is worried that Clay and Shelli are now afraid of her, even though she was just an innocent bystander. She said that she will probably feel better once she talks to Clay and Shelli. Jackie asked Vanessa who she thinks that Austin and the twins would target. Vanessa said that they don’t talk to her about those things, though the twins would likely do what Austin wants. She said that Austin can’t stand Steve and would probably go after him.

8:00-9:00 PM: James and Meg were discussing that they need to win HoH. Jackie said that even if you win, it doesn’t matter. She pointed out that she won HoH, rigged the Battle of the Block competition and it still did not work out. Meg said that if she wins HoH and remains in power, she is not scared to do what she wants. She said that she doesn’t even care anymore. James asked if she would nominate her targets straight up. Meg said that she would use the backdoor. James said that if one of them wins then he guesses that they will all need to have that same plan. Meg told him that if the others are going to play like this then they need to too. She implied that she would be done with Clay and Shelli if Jason goes home tomorrow. Up in the HoH room, Becky told Clay, Shelli and Vanessa that she would nominate Austin and Steve if she won, looking to backdoor James. Clay asked her who she would want to go home if the PoV was not used. Becky said that she would prefer to send Steve out but she would see what the group thinks at that point.

10:00-11:00 PM: Becky talked to Shelli about how she is concerned that Clay questions her even though she has been loyal and show that many times. Earlier, when Becky said that she would target James, Clay immediately asked her about targeting Jackie. Becky said that Clay doesn’t tell her his targets or his game plan, so she is wondering if she should start holding back information. Shelli assured Becky that Clay is on board with the group. Shelli said that Clay is just weary of Jackie and therefore he was feeling her out. Shelli said that it was by no means Clay’s intention to make her feel attacked. Becky admitted that it would be tough for her to be the one to personally take out Jackie, since Jackie has not wronged her in the game. She said that she understands why Jackie is a threat to the group though. Shelli told Becky that she feels as though Jackie has a chip on her shoulder towards her and she is starting to believe that Jackie would target her. Becky said that if they take out the middle man, James, Clay can work on Meg and she can work on Jackie. Becky said that she believes that their four person alliance can change the game. She said that they should make a name.

11:00-12:00 AM: In the HoH room, Austin told Vanessa that he would be fine with Becky, John or Steve winning HoH this week. His concern was keeping the power out of the hands of the “minions”, Jackie, James and Meg. Vanessa said that their people have a 56% chance of winning both HoHs, while the minions have a 38% chance of winning one. Austin told Shelli that Liz promised him a kiss if he wins HoH. Shelli said that that is likely increasing their odds. Austin agreed. Shelli asked Austin what he plans to do if he wins HoH. Austin said that his focus is to get Jackie out of the house. Austin explained that she is messing with his girl. Vanessa asked what they will do if Austin is HoH and they don’t have someone to throw the Battle of the Block. Austin said that he could ask John to throw the competition, since he has done it before. Meanwhile, Liz and Steve were discussing the Austin and Liz situation. Liz said that Austin always has his hands on her. Steve said that she can only control her own actions. Liz admitted that she likes hanging out with Austin but he has a girlfriend and that is not cool with her. Liz said that she does not want to be portrayed as a home wrecker. Liz told Steve that Austin follows her around like a puppy dog, not letting her out of his sight for more than five minutes. Liz said that she will be sleeping in the same be as Julia, not Austin, once she gets in to the house tomorrow night.

Back up in the HoH room, Shelli told Clay and Vanessa about her conversation with Becky. She said that Becky is so excited to be with their group. Shelli and Vanessa said that they do believe that, while Clay was a bit skeptical. Shelli let Clay know about Becky’s concerns surrounding the way that he questioned her earlier. She told him that he cannot go up to Becky and say anything, since she did not want her to tell Clay. Clay questioned if Becky would have their backs fully. Shelli said that she thinks so. Vanessa felt the same way as Shelli. Shelli told them that Becky wanted to come up with an alliance name, which Vanessa took as a sign that Becky is serious about working with them. Clay said that there are still question marks surrounding Becky, particularly because nobody really knows her game. All three agreed that they cannot let Steve go next week. That is someone that Becky has mentioned targeting. Shelli said that Becky is unaware that their loyalty is to their three person group first, then the six person group, and then their four person group with her. Vanessa said that they will likely end up being most loyal to the people that are winning the HoHs and making the decisions, so things will sort themselves out.

2:00-3:00 AM: Jason went to Clay and Shelli to make his last campaign pitch. He told them that people are making him believe that they are the ones behind his nomination, though this game changes day to day and they are his only option. He said that Jackie will vote for him if they are on board. Jason pointed out that it may be an endurance competition, which he would have a good chance at winning, and he would be able to keep Clay and Shelli safe. Jason told them that Becky plans to nominate the two of them together if she wins the double eviction HoH. Jason said that people are targeting Shelli over Clay. Jason said that both him and Meg would be down for the Final 4 with them. Clay questioned why Jason didn’t come to them sooner. Jason said that he didn’t want to overdo it, since they are his only option and they would have gotten tired of him continuously coming to them. Jason said that Meg is the one running things between the two of them. Clay asked if there was ever an alliance between Jason, Meg, James and Jeff. Jason denied it and said that he would be guaranteeing himself no better than fourth place. Clay said that Jeff told both him and Jackie that before he left.

Clay asked if Jason was sold on the eight person alliance like Jackie was. Jason said that he was and that’s why he was not up in the HoH room all week trying to make sure that he was safe. Jason said that the person that he trusted the least in the group was Becky. He pointed out that Becky pretends to not be associated with John and she is now distancing herself from Jackie, so it’s hard to know where she is at in the game. Jason said that he can offer Clay and Shelli anything if they keep him in the game. He admitted that Jackie and James are a sinking ship. He said that Jackie is going to blow up at some point and James does not know what he is doing. Jason reiterated that is down with the Final 4 with the two of them and Meg. Jason said that he would love a Final 5 with Vanessa added in as well. Jason pointed out that Vanessa has been so sweet and genuine since he went on the block, while plenty of others have treated him like he has the plague. Jason said that he didn’t see it in the first few weeks that Vanessa is one of those people that you can really trust. Jason swore on everything that Clay and Shelli are good with him and he will cut Jackie and James before he would even consider cutting Vanessa.

3:00-4:00 AM: Clay told Shelli that Jason talked for way too long, trying to throw out something that was going to stick, though he made some good points. Shelli said that he made great points. Shelli told Clay that she knew that she was going to stray and want to keep Jason, so she told Vanessa to get her on track whenever she doubts it. Shelli said that Vanessa helped her get on track again today. Shelli said that it’s too late to change the plan and Jason has to go. She admitted that at the beginning of the talk she was thinking that they would have to go talk to Vanessa about this. Clay said that if the points were kept more concise he would have considered it, since it seems as though Jason was back-pedalling. Shelli said that she was already concerned about Becky wanting them out during a double, so they will just need to continue to work on her. Shelli pointed out that nothing that Jason brought to them was new information. Shelli said that they need to tell Becky that Jason said that she would target them. Clay mentioned telling Becky that they are really trusting her by keeping her, since it’s concerning that she would come after them. Clay figured that Becky would then give her word that she is not after them, which she would not go back on. Shelli suggested getting Becky and John together tomorrow and telling them that they want to ride with both of them, but it eliminates their possibility of nomination them during the double. Clay said that they could always throw the HoHs if they get in a good position with the people that are going to win it.
