BB17 Day 47 - James decides not to use the Power of Veto

10:00-11:00 AM: James told John that Clay and Shelli are now want to work with him, when he thought all along that they were working together. He said that he was ready to pull one of them off of the block but then he found out that they were working together with certain people for weeks. James said that it has been tough and he has been weighing out the options. James felt that whatever decision he made would have a negative outcome. John said that the problem is that he has to send someone home, even if they haven’t done a thing. James said that the issue with Clay and Shelli is that they did not want to give any information before nominations, since both sides were protecting each other, yet at the last minute they gave up information that could have kept them safe this week. James went to Austin and told him that Clay and Shelli said a lot of things last night. He said that he is not upset about it but he hopes that him, Austin and everyone else can start fresh. Austin said that is what they are doing. James let Austin know that they were saying that Austin made Liz nominate him at the last minute. Austin said that it’s not true at all. Austin assured James that him and the twins are on his side 100%. He said that he doesn’t understand why Clay and Shelli are coming at him, when he was trying to be helpful. James said that he knows that Austin has not done him wrong as far as he knows. He mentioned that Clay and Shelli said that they have been rolling with Austin all along. James told Austin that Jackie and Meg will go to bat for him. Austin said that he feels the same way about them.

11:00-12:00 AM: Meg went to Shelli and told her that she is afraid that it is too late. Shelli said that she got pushed into going against herself for nothing and that’s what she has to live with then. Shelli told Meg that she feels duped. Meg said that she believes that Clay and Shelli got mixed up with the wrong people are were set up a little bit. Austin went to Liz and told her that Clay and Shelli were trying to say that he wanted James nominated at the last minute and may have been targeting him. Liz said that she can’t believe those two and they cannot be trusted. Shelli spoke to Meg again, asking why James had to tell Austin what was said. Meg said that she hasn’t spoke to James yet and does not know anything about that. Clay said that some words will be exchanged with James, because he has no respect for that guy. Shelli told him that he cannot act emotionally, because she could be wrong about what James was doing when talking to Austin. Shelli then told Vanessa what was going on and that there was no reason for James to tell Austin anything. Vanessa said that there is and this was the downside of doing what they did, since James can try to reel Austin in. Vanessa told Shelli that Austin is one of the most forgiving people and that her best move would be to come clean to him before James gets the chance to, since one of them will stay and they need to be able to work together moving forward.

12:00-1:00 PM: The veto ceremony took place. James decided not to use the Power of Veto. Clay and Shelli remain nominated. Shelli told Clay that they have only four days left and that they need to make them good. Clay said that he doesn’t want to talk to any of these people. Shelli told him not to burn bridges. Clay said that he is game is over anyway. Shelli said that that’s not true. Shelli begun crying and said that she is going to miss Clay so much. Clay told her that it is only two months. Outside, Austin told Julia and Liz that Clay and Shelli told James that they have an alliance and they may have said more than he knows. Julia said that she wants to vote Clay out. Austin said that he is not sure. Julia pointed out that they were told that it was Clay’s idea to put them up and that they were told told that Shelli had a part in it. Julia did point out that Clay did not say anything to James, so he will be after James if he stays. She figured that Clay would side with Meg if he stays. Liz said that they need to think about the long run. She pointed out that Shelli is better at competitions. Austin said that Shelli is not after them though. Elsewhere, John told Becky that Clay would be on their side if he stays. Becky agreed but said that Clay wants them to vote him out. John said that he will vote Clay out and that he has already told James that he will do whatever Clay wants.

Vanessa told Austin and Liz that Clay and Shelli woke her up at 5 AM crying, saying that they did something that they think is a huge mistake. Vanessa said that outing her alliance is something that she takes very personally. Austin said that he doesn’t know how much James knows, in terms of alliance names or about his personal things. Vanessa said that they likely told everything. Austin asked if he should deny the Judas thing and voting for Audrey. Vanessa said that it is too out there to be made up. Vanessa felt that they may have to work with James if Clay and Shelli exposed their alliance. Austin said that James really does seem to want to make it work. Vanessa told Austin that she is so mad and that she would never have done that and she knows that Austin would not have either. She added that they Clay and Shelli basically ensured that they are the next to go. Austin told Vanessa that he doesn’t know if it’s smart to go against James by voting Clay out. Vanessa told him that she has a way to get around that and justify it, since Clay made it clear that he hates James in his speech. They agreed to avoid conversations with James until Vanessa finds out what exactly Clay and Shelli said to James. Austin mentioned that they could deny the alliance and say that Clay and Shelli made it up.

1:00-2:00 PM: Julia told Liz that she wants both Clay and Shelli gone. Liz agreed. Julia said that she believes that it is best for them to vote Clay out this week. Liz went along with it. Austin came by and said that if Shelli wants to stay they should make her go admit to James that everything that she said was a lie, otherwise they will vote to evict her over Clay. Liz said that it’s a good idea. Austin and Liz agreed that they want to keep James around. Julia said that getting rid of Clay this week is best since people would send Shelli home next. Austin wasn’t so sure that Clay would be able to stick around past next week either. Vanessa went to Shelli and told her that James is saying that they outed alliances. Shelli denied it and said that James is trying to make people confirm it for him. Shelli said that she wants James out more than ever. Vanessa told Shelli that Austin and the twins do not seem that mad. She said that the only thing that change is that Austin previously was planning to vote against what James wanted, keeping her, yet now he may not. Shelli said to Vanessa that she doesn’t want to campaign against Clay but she is a better player than him. Vanessa told Shelli that she will make sure that Steve keeps her, and they will bring Steve in as a sixth. Vanessa told Shelli that she needs to come clean to Austin. Vanessa went to Austin and the twins, telling them that Shelli is saying that she did not admit to any alliances but she did expose the Judas thing. Vanessa said that they cannot give James any more ammo that they are working together. Vanessa said that she really believes that Clay put Shelli up to saying these things and it is best for her to stay. Everyone agreed but Liz said that she needs Shelli to come clean about what she said, cause she is upset about it. Austin said that he will tell James that he is pissed at Clay and will not vote him. Julia apologized to Austin for exposing Judas and his vote for Audrey. She said that she regrets it and is sorry. Austin said that it’s fine and that he should not have told Jason what he did either.

2:00-3:00 PM: Julia said that Clay will latch on to the other side if he stays, while Shelli will stick with them. Shelli spoke to Austin and the twins, saying that she was told that they did not fight for her and Clay at all and said that they are fine with either going. They all denied that. Shelli said that she fell for it and gave up some information. Shelli admitted to saying that Austin voted for Audrey and also about him being Judas. After clearing the air, Liz told Shelli that her and Julia adore her and will be voting for her to stay. Liz said that they forgive her for what happened last night and they want her to stay. Julia said that they don’t care how James wants them to vote. Austin told Shelli that he forgives her and that he will come up with a reason for voting Clay out. Vanessa pulled Steve aside to discuss the vote. Vanessa said that Clay and James have a history of working together, which Steve was surprised to find out. Vanessa said that the fact that James wants Clay to stay means that they should do the opposite. She pointed out that Clay has connections with James, John and Meg, while Shelli is isolated from that side and would be more loyal to their group. Steve said that Shelli is more of an all around threat and he is big on keeping shields around them, so he likes having threats in the house. Steve told Vanessa that she is right about Clay being more likely to go to the other side. Steve said she makes a lot of good points but he wants to think it over. Vanessa said that Clay’s social game is the best in the house. Vanessa counted out the votes to evict Shelli as Becky, Jackie, John and Meg. Steve questioned why John would. Vanessa said that he is close to Clay. Steve said that’s another reason to get rid of Clay. Steve was nervous about there being a swing vote that could flip things on them. Vanessa assured him that it will be a 5-4 vote to evict Clay. Vanessa informed Steve that Shelli is willing to be a pawn, since she attempted to get Austin backdoored and she has now come clean about it. Vanessa said that he now knows that James lied about them trying to get Steve backdoored.

5:00-6:00 PM: Austin told James that Shelli cried to him today and admitted to everything that she said about him last night. Austin explained that he was “Judas” in the WWE for a short period of time and it was meaningless but he didn’t want to bring it up since the name is copyrighted and he didn’t want people to think anything of it. He said that he told Clay and Jace in week one. Austin told James that Shelli is also going to admit that she lied about him being the vote for Audrey, because that did not happen and she was trying to come up with something to get him on the block. Austin told James that Clay hasn’t said a word to him and he is pissed that Clay threw him under the bus. James said that Shelli got paranoid that they were talking and figured that he spilled everything to Austin, even though he had not, so she outed everything herself. James that he is not easily swayed and that’s why he didn’t go along with any of it. James said that Clay and Shelli claimed that Austin would stick to the power and he is a chameleon. Austin said that actions speak louder than words and he hopes that he can prove himself to James next week.

6:00-7:00 PM: Austin told Liz that Clay and Shelli made James think that the twins would not care if Austin left. He said that they also claimed that the three of them would have went after James this week if he did not win HoH. Liz said that Shelli is dead to her and she is disgusted by what she did. Austin said that if it is going to ruffle too many feathers, he is not going to vote Clay out over Shelli. Liz said that she wants to talk to Clay and Shelli to find out what they really said and why. She pointed out that at least Shelli had the balls to talk to them about it all.

7:00-8:00 PM: John and Julia discussed the votes. John said that the house is obviously going to vote Shelli out. He said that deep down that it is what everyone wants to do. John asked if Julia thinks that he is wrong about that. Julia said that it will be whatever the house wants, since she is afraid to vote against the house. Julia said that she wants to think about her vote still, as did John. John said that the would let James know if he ends up deciding to vote to evict Clay. Julia said that she prefers to have Shelli stay, since she has built a closer relationship with her. In the bathroom, Vanessa told Shelli that she keeps walking in on conversations and people stop talking. Shelli asked if they are still planning to keep her. Vanessa said yeah and that she is not worried about that not happening.

8:00-9:00 PM: Liz told Julia that Clay is in the kitchen right now and she just gave him a dirty stare. Liz said that Clay is a coward and she is livid. Liz began explaining to Julia the things that Clay and Shelli told James. Austin came by and said that James told him that Clay and Shelli tried really hard to get him nominated. Austin said that they pitched that the twins would not be mad, since they do not like him. Julia said that it is malicious to say that Liz does not like Austin. She questioned where they go that from. Austin pointed out that Shelli would definitely not come after them if she stays, while Clay is bothering him with the way that he is acting right now. Austin said that he plans to evict Clay as of now. Liz agreed that they need to keep Shelli. In the bathroom, Clay asked Vanessa if there is any shot of Shelli staying. Vanessa said that James does not want that. Clay figured that Steve will vote Shelli out, since he will listen to James because James told him that they threw him under the bus. Clay felt that the twins would also vote with James, since they gravitate to the power. Vanessa asked if Clay still wants her to vote for Shelli. She said that she is not afraid of James. Clay told her to do what she needs to do for her game. Clay mentioned that James had told him that it will be unanimous. Vanessa said that she doubts that. Clay told Vanessa that if either of them or John don’t win HoH, then he will be back on the block next week.

10:00-11:00 PM: Austin told Vanessa that he wants to go tell James that Clay is making him feel uncomfortable and he does not want to keep him. Vanessa was happy that Austin is not backing down and giving in to what James wants. They discussed pitching that Shelli is the bigger target and therefore it is best to keep her around and in front of them. Austin discussed nominating Jackie and Shelli next week, saying that he would backdoor Steve. However, his actual plan would be for Jackie to go. Should the other side win HoH, they discussed having them nominate John and Shelli, saying that they would target Shelli, but they would actually vote to evict John. Austin went to Jackie and told her that Clay and Shelli blew up the whole Judas thing, when it was not a big deal in reality. He said that it is something that he mentioned to them in week one and he has not brought it up since. They discussed a couple of other things that Clay and Shelli had brought up, before Austin revealed to Jackie that he may not want to vote to keep Clay if he keeps acting the way that he is. Jackie said that it is likely due to the fact that he thinks that he is leaving. Austin pulled Shelli aside and said that he owned up to the Judas thing by saying that he told Clay and Jace about it in week one, then Shelli and Clay spun that in to him voting to keep Audrey. Austin asked that she back him up and say that he did not vote to keep Audrey. Shelli said that that’s fine with her. Shelli told Austin that she was so sleep deprived and made such an error in judgment last night when she told James all of these things. Austin said that he forgives her and wants her to stay.

11:00-12:00 AM: Austin told Liz that he talked to Vanessa and they were discussing that nobody will come after the twins and himself right now, since they know that they have three jury votes. Liz brought up that she wants Shelli to stay, since she does not know what Clay would do if he stayed. Vanessa joined them and said that Clay does not plan on talking to them, since he does not know what to say. Vanessa said that they need Shelli to encourage Clay not to talk to them, since that gives them an excuse to vote Clay out. Vanessa told Austin that Clay is convinced that Austin did something to him. They talked about the possibility of Clay targeting Austin. Both Austin and Liz reiterated that they need Clay to go. Vanessa said that she plans to tell Shelli that Clay is now saying that she no longer has to vote him out. Austin and Liz discussed telling James that Shelli needs to stay, since she is a bigger threat and can be a target ahead of them, since she offered to be a pawn, since Clay is after Austin and so on. They hoped that James would back them targeting Clay, though they plan to do it either way as of now.

4:00-5:00 AM: Steve headed outside by himself and talked to the live feeders. Steve revealed that he is on board for the Freaks and Geeks keeping Shelli. He said that Clay admitted to having a Final 2 with James, so Clay is playing too much and has more bridges than does Shelli. He felt that he had rebuilt his trust with Shelli. Steve said that he does want to win HoH. Steve told the feeders that Becky is his target if he wins HoH during the double eviction, because Becky is saying way too much about him.
