BB17 Day 50 - Clay is evicted; Becky wins HoH
August 6, 2015
1:00-2:00 PM: Austin told Meg that Clay came to them last night and had an emotional hour long talk, saying to please take him out of the game and do not send him to jury. Meg said that she knew that this was coming yesterday. Austin said that he knows that everyone is worried about Shelli but this is about more than the game. Austin told Meg that Vanessa, Steve, John, Liz and Julia are voting for Clay, so it’s going to be a done deal and he is going to have to get on board with keeping Shelli. Meg said that she heard through the grapevine that John and Steve are not voting that way. Austin said that they told him last night that they are voting Clay out. Austin told Meg that the only hard part about this is that he doesn’t want to do this to James. Meg said that James will be pissed. Austin assured Meg that the plan to nominate John and Shelli will remain in place and that nothing else will change. Austin said that the twins don’t want to do this to James and don’t want him to be upset. Meg then talked to Shelli and said that it is so hard for her to vote Clay out. Shelli said that she will not have hard feelings if Meg does not vote for her. Meg said that she does not want Clay to leave with no votes. Shelli said that it is fine and that she fully expected Meg to vote her out. Shelli told Meg to go with what she originally wanted to, because she knows that people are changing their votes now that they know that she is staying.
John went to Clay and said that he knows that he wants his word to send him home and he will do it, but it is not the best thing for his game to send Clay home. John said that he feels like Vanessa is in Shelli’s head. Clay said not at all. Clay told John that Shelli is her own game player and trusts him more than Vanessa. Clay gave John his word that Shelli would never turn on him. John said that if it is a double eviction he will be sending Vanessa home. Clay said that Shelli would be okay with that. Clay guaranteed that Shelli would not put John up. Clay said that Vanessa has been kind of sketchy lately. John said that the vibe that he is getting is that Vanessa started something in the HoH room to get everyone after Clay, Steve and himself. John asked if Shelli would put up Vanessa. Clay said no but he does not have to worry about Shelli. He also said that Vanessa will stick to his deal with John that he is good with him until Final 9. Clay assured John that he would not sell him on Shelli unless he really believed it. Clay went to Vanessa and told her that James is telling John that she gets in Shelli’s head.
Meg told Jackie that Clay let her know that if she wants to be loyal to him she will vote him out. Austin talked to the girls and let them know that the most difficult thing about this decision is that keeping Shelli is not what James wants. Austin assured them both that this vote will not change the plans that they made in the HoH room the other night. Jackie did not believe that Vanessa would actually nominate Shelli, after trying to save her. Austin said that she gave her word that she would. Austin mentioned that they are all afraid that James will be upset but they cannot keep Clay when he is crying and asking to be evicted. James joined them and found out that the plan is to evict Clay. Austin explained that he can’t force Clay to stay when he wants to go so badly. James said that people will do what they want but this HoH was run to protect the house. Austin agreed. James pointed out that Jason didn’t get to choose who went home and if it was up to Shelli it would be Austin on the block right now. Austin said that he understands but this isn’t even on a game level and he is about the seventh vote to evict Clay now anyway. James said that he will not be upset at them personally but he is going to be pissed of that he passed up on the $5,000.
2:00-3:00 PM: Vanessa pulled James aside and asked him if he has something against her personally. James said no. Vanessa said that it has gotten back to her that he threw her name under the bus. Vanessa asked James why he told John that she is in Shelli’s head and he needs to vote her out. James said that he did not tell John that and he swears on his girl. Vanessa said she needs to find out who is lying. She said that she does not care which one goes and she has tried to stay out of all of this. Vanessa again asked for confirmation that James did not tell John that. James said that he did not and they can bring John in right now. Vanessa said that it was Clay that told her about it. James swore to God that Clay is lying. Vanessa said that she has never said that she is gunning for John, so she doesn’t understand why he was told that she is after him. James went to Clay and told him to keep his name out of his mouth. Clay told him to shut up. James told Clay to shut up, called him a coward and left. James came back and said that Clay and Shelli thought that he was the one that told Austin everything, but Shelli is the one that told on herself. Clay told James that he better walk away from him. James asked if Clay is going to hit him or something. Clay said that he will. He then got in James’ face and told him not to come at him like that again. Meanwhile, Vanessa pulled John aside and asked if James said that she is gunning for him and she is in Shelli’s head, so he needs to vote Shelli out. John said no. Vanessa said that Clay just told her that John said that. John said no.
Vanessa confronted Clay, saying that he lied about this and is trying to pin it on James. Vanessa told Clay that it seems like he is lying and he is not going to one up her, and it is so not cool that he would do that. Vanessa asked John who said it. John said that it was him that said it. Vanessa asked why he thinks that she is gunning for him and is in Shelli’s ear. John said it is what he has come up with in his head. Vanessa said that she respects him for having Clay’s back but the fact that he is even trying to say that he came up with that on his own is impossible. Clay swore that he did not just come up with it. Vanessa said that he is not in Shelli’s head, she does not control her, she is the most isolated person in the house and does not have control over anyone. John again said that he came up with it on his own. Vanessa said Clay is lying. Clay said that’s fine, then he is lying. He said that he will not sit there and plead that he is not lying when he is not. Shelli said that Clay would not make that up. John said that he came up with it, though Vanessa said that it sounds like John is just trying to back up Clay. Clay eventually told Vanessa that he was the one that said it and that John is just trying to protect him.
Afterwards, Shelli went to Clay and said that it was John that said it and Clay is just covering for him. Clay confirmed that. Clay told Shelli that Vanessa is too emotional to play the game with. He said that she can stay on Vanessa’s side but she is going to explode. Vanessa then came by and said that she knows what is going on. Vanessa told Shelli that she heard Clay tell John to vote Shelli out but say that he is voting to keep Shelli. Vanessa said that she then heard John tell Clay that he has to act mopey. Clay swore on his mom’s life that he did not. Clay questioned why he would campaign. Vanessa asked Clay why he did this to her when she was loyal. She said that he should not manipulate her and make up info on her. Clay said that this has never once been about him trying to stay over Shelli, so don’t twist it. Shelli said that she doesn’t think that Vanessa is lying. Clay said “woah” and told her that she is sadly mistaken if she thinks that this has been some grand scheme of his. Clay said that if she even believes that a little bit, it is really going to bother him. Vanessa left and told James that Clay has got to go, since there is some next level manipulation going on. Vanessa said that John made himself her target, cause you don’t cover for someone like that unless you are related or lovers.
Vanessa told Austin that Clay is manipulating this all. She asked Austin which way he is voting. He said that they are voting Clay out and now Jackie, Meg and everyone else is too. John joined Clay and Shelli. John said that he did not say that James said that about Vanessa. He told Clay and Shelli that he came up with it on his own. Clay said that he took it the wrong way then. Steve came by and both John and Steve both confirmed that Clay has been asking them all along to vote him out. John stayed and told Clay and Shelli that Vanessa threw them under the bus. He said that Vanessa does this crying thing that she does every time. John said that Vanessa has got herself covered with all sides. He said that she is good and does not have any of this pinned on her. Clay said that she blows up in a way that makes her look clean. John pointed out that Vanessa is responsible for Jeff, Audrey, Jason and one of Clay or Shelli going home.
3:00-4:00 PM: John went to Steve and they agreed that they are voting Clay out. John told Steve that he wants Vanessa out. John said that Vanessa gets all of these people out and gets no blood on her hands. John said that he will nominate Meg and Liz so that everyone will use the PoV, then he will backdoor Vanessa. John told Steve to throw HoH to him and he will get the blood on his hands by making that move. Elsewhere, Shelli told Vanessa that she knows Clay better than anyone and she knows that he did not make that up. Shelli said that it came from John. Vanessa said that everything in her gut tells her that Clay made it up and she does not understand why he did this to her. Vanessa then went to Clay and John and said that she needs to know who started this. Clay took the blame for it and said that he made it up. He had just finished telling John that he can blame it all on him after he goes, cause he is covering for him. Clay said that he was trying to make sure that John and Vanessa were on better terms once he was gone. Vanessa said that they are on very good terms. Vanessa said that the only thing that makes sense is that John and Clay and gay lovers or are related.
6:00-7:00 PM: The live eviction episode aired. Clay was evicted by a unanimous vote of 9-0. Julie announced to the remaining houseguests that they have all at least made the jury. She said that even though they go to jury, the game may not be over for them. The HoH competition then begun.
8:00-9:00 PM: The HoH competition ended when Becky was the first to fill her jug and retrieved the three balls from inside of it. Becky won HoH, $5,000 and the never not pass.
9:00-10:00 PM: Steve asked John what exactly it is that is making him question Vanessa. John said that he got the vibe that there was a meeting upstairs the other night and that the eight of them got together and said that they would target Clay and the two of them. John said that Vanessa initially told them that there was no game talk, then she backtracked somewhat the next day. John mentioned that Vanessa has a Final 9 agreement with him but she will let everyone else come after him. John said that’s how Vanessa works. Steve asked if John is going to campaign for Vanessa to be nominated. John said that he wont campaign hard. John asked if it was a bad idea. Steve said that there is always risk in going after a big player like Vanessa. John said that they are there to play. John told Steve that he felt as though Vanessa was policing them in the bedroom last night. Steve suggested that they meet up the next time that Vanessa goes to the diary room. Vanessa spoke to Steve and said that she does not know what Becky will do. Steve said that Becky is playing everyone and he has no idea where her head is at. Vanessa said that the Freaks and Geeks can save each other if one of them goes up. Steve feared that two of them may be nominated together.
10:00-11:00 PM: Jackie asked Vanessa to fill her in on what happened earlier today. She explained the whole Clay and John incident to Jackie. Vanessa then brought up to both Jackie and Meg that the vote flipped after that. Meg said that that’s not true and that stuff was going on all morning. Vanessa said that she wasn’t aware of that. Vanessa questioned why she always gets her name included in these things. Austin and Liz overheard the conversation. Austin said that Vanessa needs to take a 24 hour game break. Liz said that Vanessa stresses too much. Austin pointed out that you cannot cover all of your bases at all times. Vanessa and Shelli and a quick chat. Vanessa said that the good news is that they are all in jury and they will have a chance to come back if they are one of the first four to jury. Shelli asked who Becky would target. Vanessa said maybe Steve. Since they had said that Austin volunteered to be a pawn, Vanessa said that he may be the pawn. She told Shelli that she will plant those seeds.
12:00-1:00 AM: Becky got her HoH room. She spoke to Jackie, James and Meg. She told them that they will stick to the plan that they agreed with the other night with the eight person group. Becky said that she will nominate Shelli and Steve. She said that they can then pretend that John is the backdoor target, even though it is actually Vanessa. Becky said that nobody will be upset with Vanessa leaving. She figured that Austin and the twins would be happy as long as it is not them. Jackie and Meg agreed that they feel safer with Shelli in the house than with Vanessa. Becky said that they can use the Power of Veto on Shelli, keeping her on their good side. The votes to evict Vanessa would then be from Jackie, James, Meg and John. Becky would be the tiebreaker if nobody else voted their way. Becky told the group that the most important thing to remember is that they cannot let the plan to backdoor Vanessa get out at all. She said that they will push that John made himself a target today due to the incident with Clay. She figured that Vanessa would eat that up.
Austin was the first to speak to Becky. He told her that he will protect her during the double eviction when she cannot play. Becky said that that is her main concern. Austin said that the twins will tell her the same thing. Becky told Austin that she is sticking to the plan but it makes more sense for her to nominate Steve and Shelli, as opposed to John and Shelli. Becky said that keeping nominations the same would be idea, because she would then only have Steve mad at her heading into next week. Vanessa made her way up to the HoH room next. Becky informed her about the plan to nominate Shelli and Steve. Becky said that she would clue those two in right before the nominations but not tonight. Vanessa asked if Becky is feeling isolated still. Becky said no and that she is happy with the clear group that people lump her in with. Vanessa said that she is very isolated in this game, with Clay and Shelli on the way out. She said that she is good for her word and would like to make some kind of individual deal. Becky said that she is done with making deals and alliances. Vanessa asked if Becky would mind not telling Shelli that she knew the plan, cause that would put her in an awkward spot. Becky said that’s fine.
1:00-2:00 AM: John had his turn to talk with Becky. She informed him that he is safe for the week. Becky explained the plan in terms of the initial nominees and how she is pretending that he is the backdoor target, though it is Vanessa. Becky said that Vanessa is the one person that she really wants out of the game. They began discussing how Vanessa hurt her own game with the blowup that she had with Clay earlier today. Becky said that Vanessa’s word means nothing and she is alone in this game due to betraying so many people. Becky told John that Vanessa needs to go but she can’t have a clue that the move is coming. John told Becky that Steve will be concerned that she is trying to get him out in order to get him away from John, since Steve and John have a Final 2. Becky planned to keep that in mind when talking to Steve. Meanwhile, Vanessa told Austin that Becky would not make a deal with her. She figured that she was probably the backdoor target. Austin said that she would have the votes. Vanessa figured that she would against Shelli or John but possibly not against Steve. Vanessa said that Becky is the worst game player and admitted to her group of four and how happy she is with it.
Shelli spoke to Vanessa and told her that she is way more vulnerable than she has ever been and she needs her. Becky said that someone made themselves a bigger target than her. Becky explained that she agreed with Jackie, James and Meg that she would not tell Shelli right now. However, Becky told Shelli that they want Vanessa out. She asked how Shelli feels about that. Shelli said that Vanessa is close to her and she will not throw her under the bus. Becky said that she is sick of the way that Vanessa creates groups and then changes them however she sees fit, all the while preaching about her word. Shelli said that it made no sense that Vanessa was trying to turn her on Clay today. Becky pointed out that Vanessa swayed her opinion about someone that she loves in 15 minutes. Becky let Shelli know that Vanessa tried to make a deal but she turned her down. Shelli asked what the whole plan is, since backdoors don’t always work. Becky said that she would be nominating Shelli and Steve. Becky let Shelli know that Vanessa knows that part of the plan. Shelli wanted to see if Vanessa would tell her about it. Shelli agreed to look upset when she gets nominated tomorrow. Liz and Julia quickly spoke to Becky. They offered her protection from the two of them. Becky filled them in on the plan to nominate Shelli and Steve, keeping John ready to go up as a potential replacement nominee. Last up for the night was Steve. Becky informed him that she is considering nominating him as a pawn but he is not her target or her backup plan. Becky asked Steve to act nervous and as though he isn’t safe, up until the veto ceremony.
