BB17 Day 51 - Becky nominates Shelli and Steve
August 7, 2015
11:00-12:00 PM: Vanessa told Julia that she slipped up and said “Freaks and Geeks” to Shelli. She said that she covered it up and told Shelli that Steve came up with the name “Beauty, Freaks and Geeks” for their alliance, so they have to go with that. Vanessa asked Julia what Becky said to her last night. Julia said that Becky told her and Liz that they are not her target. Vanessa said that Becky wouldn’t say that to her. Vanessa expects that Becky will backdoor her, not John. Vanessa explained that she tried to make a deal and Becky said no more deals. Julia admitted that Becky made a deal with her not to nominate her next week. Vanessa said that this is Big Brother and you have to make deals. Vanessa told Julia that Becky is a terrible game player. Vanessa told Julia that Becky needs to know that Austin and the twins will be mad if Vanessa is backdoored. Vanessa pointed out that the deal that the eight person group made was not for one of them to be backdoored. Steve was alone in the bedroom and spoke to the viewers. He said that considering he is going up today next to Shelli, he is feeling about as good as a nominee can feel. He said that he has the votes next to Shelli and he is really getting the impression that the true target is Austin and the backup target is Shelli. Steve thought that Becky was nominating him because everyone likes him and she knows that he would not go home, though he is expendable if something goes wrong. Steve figured that he would stay unanimously next to Shelli and would only lose votes from the twins if he is nominated next to Austin. He said that he thinks that he is safe no matter what, though things can change.
12:00-1:00 PM: Becky had to choose three have-nots for the week. She chose Jackie, James and Meg. Julia told Liz that if the win the PoV they will need to keep nominations the same, otherwise Vanessa will be backdoored. Liz said she knows. Liz said that either one of them or Austin needs to win next week, because they are getting to the point where they will be targeted. Liz said that Austin was embarrassing last night and it is such a turn off. Liz said that Austin even did worse than Meg. In the have-not room, Becky spoke to Jackie and James. Jackie asked how the conversation with Shelli went last night. Becky said that it went well. James said that Shelli looked pissed. Becky said that she couldn’t make Shelli happy or give her false hope. Becky said that Vanessa is the target and she has no idea, truly believing that she has done nothing wrong. Becky mentioned that Vanessa is all about her word. Jackie said that she is the worst about her word. Becky pointed out that Steve said that he knows that pawns need to be used. She said that everything went smoothly and she told everyone that they are sticking with the plan except for putting Steve up in John’s place. Becky told them that Vanessa said that she has Becky’s back, is good for her word and wants to make a deal.
Becky said that she told Vanessa “no deals”. Becky pointed out that Vanessa works with Shelli and Clay but blew up their games in no time. Jackie asked what John had to say last night. Becky said that John is shaken up by Vanessa and admitted that he did come up with what he said yesterday on his own. Becky said that John felt bullied by her and does not think that he has to tell her how he got every piece of information. Jackie said that everyone in the house has gotten into a confrontation with Vanessa. Becky said that John doesn’t want Vanessa there and that is all that she needed to hear. Jackie asked if John would vote against Shelli if Vanessa ends up winning the PoV. Jackie was concerned that Vanessa would campaign for Shelli. Becky said that they will work on him. Becky figured that the worst situation would be if Vanessa won the PoV and used it on Shelli. Becky said that the twins and Austin would be pissed if that happened and she would have to put a pawn up to ensure that Steve goes, though she does not want to have to do that. Jackie said that either Shelli or Vanessa has to go.
1:00-2:00 PM: Becky told Meg about how she told Vanessa that she is not willing to make any deals. Meg said that it’s funny how Vanessa is always the one pushing for deals but she breaks them apart. Jackie said that Vanessa finds the loophole in it. Becky said that she believes things in her head and will have no idea why she would make this move. Becky said that it will be like talking to a wall and Vanessa still will not understand, even if she listed off all of the reasons. James wondered who Shelli would pick to play for veto if she gets houseguest’s choice. Meg said Vanessa and then Vanessa would throw it. Becky hoped that what went down between Clay and Vanessa yesterday would change how Shelli sees Vanessa, since Vanessa got in her head and had her temporarily convinced that Clay was turning on her. Becky said that Shelli understands things but will be upset when she goes up, so be kind to her. Becky thought that they should go to Shelli and tell her that they really hope that she wins PoV.
3:00-4:00 PM: The nomination ceremony took place. Becky nominated Shelli and Steve for eviction. Up in the HoH room, Becky reiterated to Shelli that she is going after Vanessa. She said that she will have a lot to say when she nominates a replacement nominee. Shelli said that she appreciates Becky telling her the plan. She asked if Becky is also telling Steve that she will use the veto on him. Becky said no and that Steve volunteered to be a pawn this week. Becky figured that Steve does not like Vanessa either, cause John and Steve know that they are being left out and not being included in groups. Becky told Shelli that her goal is to get the blood solely on her hands, sending Vanessa to jury. Becky said that she does not plan to bring up conversations that have been had. Becky informed Shelli that Vanessa requested that Becky not let Shelli know that she knew that Shelli was going to be nominated. Becky told Shelli that they need to keep people believing that Shelli is the target this week.
Austin spoke to the twins and said that Vanessa is thinking too much. He pointed out that she had so many conspiracy things with regards to Clay, when it may have been nothing. He said that she did the same thing during her HoH week when she almost nominated him. Steve asked John who the target is. He pointed towards the kitchen where was Vanessa was. John said that if that gets out, they are blown up. Steve then went into a room on his own and spoke to himself, saying that he guesses that he was wrong about Austin being the target. He said that Vanessa going home would be bad for his game for a lot of reasons. In the storage room, Julia pointed out that Vanessa has a worried look on her face. Vanessa said that she knows that she is a backdoor target this week. Julia said that they have to play hard for the veto. She told Vanessa that she wants to keep nominations the same, since Vanessa is better for her game than Shelli and Steve are. Vanessa said that Becky will not nominate John, since she already went against the deal by not nominating him originally.
4:00-5:00 PM: Vanessa told Shelli that she thinks that she can swing the votes to keep her. She said that it would come down to John. Shelli said that he will not vote against what Becky wants. Vanessa explained that she has evidence that Becky is not loyal to John and she even admitted that she is in a four person alliance with James, Jackie and Meg. Vanessa advised Shelli to get closer to John. She said that she can give her the arguments to convince John to keep her. Vanessa said that it’s like Becky doesn’t trust her at all. Vanessa did not understand. She said that her word to Becky has always been good, yet Becky acted like she would never make another deal with her. Vanessa saw that as a slap in the face. Vanessa pointed out that Becky is a flip flopper and said that she is blind as a bat if she does not realize that she is on the bottom of her four person alliance. Vanessa said that she is praying that she gets picked to play in the veto competition. She said that she will gun for the win and will use the veto on Shelli. Vanessa figured that Becky would then nominate John, because she does not want to get any blood on her hands. Vanessa said that Becky would expect John to be a pawn, but he would go home. She then told Shelli that she should give her the PoV if it comes down to the two of them, cause then she can be backdoored and she can still save Shelli.
5:00-6:00 PM: Jackie, James and Meg chatted in the have-not room about how it may be best to get Shelli out before Vanessa. James said that they are screwed if Shelli wins HoH, because she will definitely send one of them out. On the other hand, he did not think that Vanessa would come after them. James said that he honestly feels that it is best for Shelli to go. Jackie said that she thinks so too. Meg said that both Shelli and Vanessa are problems. She pointed out that they are concerned that Shelli could get the votes to stay for one reason, cause Vanessa could rally people. Meg said that they need to go with Becky and take out Vanessa if that is what she feels strongly about, because they need to build trust with her. James agreed. He said that they have taken risks along the way and can take one more. Jackie mentioned that the twins are sitting really pretty and nobody has brought their names up even once. Meg said that it’s because they let Austin do the talking for them.
6:00-7:00 PM: Steve was alone, going over his options. He said that he can play this week offensively and try to come up with a lie to shift the target to Austin or the twins, or he can sit back and bail on Vanessa. If he bails on Vanessa, Steve said that he could align with Shelli and possibly bring Becky and John on board. Steve felt that he would be safe either way this week. He said that he cannot not use the veto if he wins. He said that his gut is telling him that he should let this plan play out, though he immediately followed that up by saying that he cannot lose Vanessa.
12:00-1:00 AM: Vanessa asked Austin who Steve should pick if he gets houseguest’s choice. Austin suggested Meg, since she wont win. Vanessa said that he was planning to pick John. Seeing as he is supposed to be the replacement nominee and he may save Shelli for Clay, Austin did not like that plan. Vanessa said that they will be able to keep Shelli if she ends up next to John. Austin said that John may go up if Steve comes down. Vanessa questioned why they would not. She said that even if she goes on the block, she wouldn’t care because she would know that she is safe. Austin said that if Vanessa goes up, the line would be crossed and the others would know that they are coming after them. He figured that they would not do that. Vanessa pointed out that Becky winning was the worst case, since she is the only one with an issue putting up John. Vanessa mentioned that she could use the veto on Shelli, forcing John to go up. She also said that she could leave nominations the same if it seems that it would rock the boat too much. Austin and Vanessa agreed that they are open to discussing who to send out between Shelli and Steve. Austin said that keeping Shelli would be declaring war. Vanessa said that that’s not necessarily the case and it would be keeping the bigger target. She did not want to make a move just because it’s the one that the other side wants. Vanessa brought up her conversation with Becky and how she refused to make a deal with her. Austin said that it may be best to leave nominations the same then. Vanessa replied with “unless I win”.
John spoke to Shelli. He said that he believes that Vanessa is on to the plan. Shelli said that she is worried about that. John said that Vanessa is good and seems to think that something is up. Shelli asked John what she should do if she pulls houseguest’s choice, because it would be expect that she would choose Vanessa. Shelli said that she does not know if Vanessa would use the veto, though she said that she would use it on her. John eventually said that Shelli should pick him. He said that he wants to use this veto more than ever and he would use it on Shelli. John discussed the eight person group that formed to target the two of them and Steve. Shelli asked if Vanessa was telling everyone that she would target whichever one of her or Clay remained. John said yeah. Shelli questioned if the plan is really to backdoor Vanessa. John said that he believes so but they cannot let anyone know that they know. He said that he has been in Shelli’s spot before and she cannot trust anyone and has to go with her gut on that. Shelli said that she will be scared to death if she ends up on the block next to Vanessa. John said that he should use the veto on her and he will tell Steve that, since it makes the most sense. Shelli said that Steve would be safer on the block.
1:00-2:00 AM: John told Shelli that the two of them and Steve need to play it up that they are alone. He said that they need to win veto and then HoH. John said that Shelli could pick Vanessa for houseguest’s choice, since she was concerned that it would look bad if she picked him, but he would then go home. Shelli told John that she does not want him to go and she feels better working with him than with her. Shelli said that Vanessa told her that John would go up if she uses the veto on Shelli, so it may look weird if she then picks him and protects him, but she will think about it. John told Shelli that once all of this is done, they can talk about working together moving forward. For now, he felt that it was best not to have those discussions. Shelli agreed. John went to Steve and told him that he has to use the veto on Shelli. He said that Steve needs to be okay with that. Steve said that he doesn’t know. John explained that the other night when Vanessa told them that nothing happened up in the HoH room, she went on to tell Clay and Shelli that something did happen the next morning. John said that there was an eight person meeting and they agreed to target the remaining Clelli member and the two of them. John said that the number one rule this week is that they do not know anything that is going on. John said that he will be the one to go home if anyone finds out that they know the plan, since Vanessa is targeting him. John let Steve know that he wants Vanessa out because she is covered on every side. John pointed out that Vanessa had fights with all of the evicted houseguests except for Jace. He explained to Steve that Vanessa did the same thing to him yesterday, which let him know that he is Vanessa’s next target. John guaranteed that it will be him or Vanessa leaving. He said that Steve needs to choose between them. He told Steve that he can pick Vanessa for houseguest’s choice if he wants, but Vanessa is telling both him and Shelli that she will use the veto on them. John said that Steve needs to pick him. He admitted that he will not use the veto on Steve though.
2:00-3:00 AM: Steve asked why Vanessa is the best person to take out of the game. John said that she is keeping the three sides at war and is good on every side. Steve told John that he is basically asking him to volunteer to go on the block until eviction night. John admitted that he is. Steve asked John not to do that to him. John said that he wants Shelli to trust the two of them, which can happen if he uses the veto on her. He told Steve to go out and win the veto for himself, cause he wants either him or Shelli to do that. John again pointed out that Vanessa is telling both nominees that she will save them. John said that getting Vanessa out would eliminate the smartest player in the game. John expects that Vanessa will squeal on everyone once she is nominated, at which point everyone will want to work with himself and Steve. Steve said that he thought that he was on good terms with Vanessa. John told Steve that Vanessa is on good terms with everyone except for him. John reiterated that no one can know that they know the plan, not even Becky. John said that he is going home if this leaks. He explained that Becky’s game would be ruined if it got out that she told and then she did not nominate him for it. John also explained that it is best to have Jackie, James and Meg in the veto competition, since they would use it and Austin and the twins would not.
John let Steve know that Becky did not want him to share all of this information, but he knew that he had to so that Shelli and Steve would know what is actually going on and then they would not get worked over by Vanessa. John said that Vanessa is good and is the Derrick. He said that she will not get nominated once and anyone that catches on to her goes home. John and Steve agreed that they love Shelli. John suggested that they could work something out to work together with Becky as well, once the veto plays out. He told Steve that he believes that Becky’s loyalty is with them. Steve asked why John thinks that Becky would nominate him over Austin then. John said that he doesn’t but he would probably tell her that she would have to or else her game is ruined, if things got out and it got to that point. After everyone else was in bed, Steve was talking to himself and said that he doesn't know what to do, cause his two cloest allies hate each other. Steve questioned whether or not he should out the Freaks and Geeks and the “SoS”, his Final 2 deal with Vanessa, to John. He said that he plans to pick John if he gets houseguest’s choice and he will also throw the veto competition.
