BB17 Day 54 - Becky nominates Vanessa
August 10, 2015
9:00-10:00 AM: Becky told John that she filled Steve in on everything last night. She said that Vanessa wholeheartedly believes that John is the one going on the block today. Becky pointed out that Vanessa has been spending a lot of time with Steve now, since she realizes that Steve would be the swing vote to get John out of the house if he is put on the block. Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Vanessa asked Steve if he knows what is going to happen today. Steve said no. Vanessa questioned that Steve stays up late and yet nobody tells him anything. Steve said that is correct and he does not know what is going on today. Vanessa asked if he swears. Steve replied with “mhmm”. Up in the HoH room, Becky informed Austin that Vanessa is going to be nominated. Becky explained that she caught Vanessa playing all sides of the house and she had no right to try to make the eight person deal that she did last week, hoping to keep herself safe. Becky told Austin that Vanessa went to the four people that weren’t involved in the deal the next morning, getting protection from them as well. Becky asked if Austin is upset at her. Austin said no but he wants to make sure that they are still all together for the double eviction. Becky said 100%. Becky said that she has the votes to send Vanessa home, since John definitely wants her out, as does Jackie, James and Meg. For that reason, Austin was told that he and the twins could vote whichever way he wanted. Austin said that he will pretend that he did not know the plan ahead of time.
10:00-11:00 AM: Austin headed to the have-not room. He told Meg that Becky got him caught up on the plan. He said that he understands and just wants to make sure that this doesn’t change anything for the double eviction. Meg assured him that they will still all be working together. Meg said that this could end up working out better, since she didn’t know where Vanessa would stand if she were to win the double eviction. Austin said that things are going to get ugly. Meg said that she expects it to be really bad and she is scared. James came by and found out that Austin knew about the plan. He also assured Austin that this doesn’t change anything moving forward. Austin then spoke to Jackie, who assured him of the same thing. They agreed that they will not be going after each other if they win HoH. Minutes before the houseguests were called outside for a lockdown before the veto ceremony, Austin told Liz that Vanessa is going home. He said that there is nothing that they can do about, since they do not have the votes. He explained to Liz that Jackie, James, John and Meg are voting Vanessa out and then Becky would be the tiebreaker. Austin said that Becky is fine with them voting for Vanessa if they choose to.
11:00-12:00 PM: The veto ceremony took place. Steve used the Power of Veto on himself. Becky nominated Vanessa in his place. Vanessa and Shelli were talking in the bedroom. Vanessa said that Shelli knew. Shelli said that she had a feeling, since she did not think that Becky would nominate John. Vanessa questioned why Shelli didn’t tell her. Vanessa said that she would take this as a deep betrayal if Shelli knew about it beforehand. Vanessa said that everything that she did this week was to save Shelli. Shelli said that she definitely did not know that this was happening. Shelli did say that Becky was confused about Vanessa’s game. Vanessa said that Shelli should have told her that information, since it is a little late now. Vanessa said that she doesn’t like hypocrites and Becky is the biggest hypocrite ever. Vanessa told Shelli that she will not make a big production of this. Vanessa wished Shelli the best of luck. Shelli said the same to her. Vanessa again asked if Shelli knew about this from the beginning. Shelli said that it is very upsetting that Vanessa thinks that she had anything to do with it. Vanessa said that Becky is making a big mistake, since she is one hell of a jury member. Vanessa said that Becky will not win this game. Vanessa told Shelli that she has been loyal and she does not understand this move. Vanessa said that she believes that Steve is behind this move, because he wanted to make sure that John stayed. Vanessa told Shelli that she will not campaign against her. Shelli said the same.
Becky had called Austin and the twins up to the HoH room. She explained her move and why she felt that she had to target Vanessa. Austin and the twins made their way downstairs to the bedroom where Shelli and Vanessa were. Austin said that Becky just told them everything. He said that Becky did not want to tell them ahead of time, since she did not want them to have to lie to Vanessa. Austin let Vanessa know that she was Becky’s target all along and she had a whole list of reasons for it, starting with what happened the week that she was considering going after him. Shelli questioned the group about whether this means that she will now be nominated if they win HoH, since that is the plan. Liz said absolutely not. Vanessa told Shelli that she would expect it, though she was always going to be safe the way that it had been set up. Vanessa let Shelli know that she will be fight but will not say a bad word about her. She said that she will present a logical argument. After Shelli left, Vanessa told Julia that she thinks that Shelli knew about the plan the whole time. Julia told Vanessa that she will have their votes. Vanessa said that hopefully Austin, the twins and Steve will keep her, though Becky is the tiebreaker. Vanessa figured that her best bet would be to talk to James, since Shelli would target him due to him getting Clay out of the house.
Elsewhere, Austin and Steve discussed that it is game over for Vanessa. Steve talked to the camera and said that Becky’s speech for Vanessa is just as applicable for him as it is for Vanessa. He said that he is just hiding it better. Steve said that he plans to throw HoH. Vanessa approached Becky outside. She said that Becky had some pretty harsh words for her and she would like an explanation. Becky asked Vanessa why she was so paranoid when she won HoH. Vanessa mentioned that she knew that Becky would not want to nominate John. She said that she would have understood had Becky explained that, though she didn’t warn her when she had the chance. Vanessa said that she will be a pissed off jury member. Becky let Vanessa know that she did not like how things went down with the group of eight, when Vanessa brought them into the HoH room. Vanessa said that she was the last one to be pulled up there. Becky said that it doesn’t even matter what the order was but the real issue is that Vanessa forced her to give her word. Becky asked what she was supposed to do when Vanessa pointed at her and asked if she has her word, in front of a room full of people. Becky eventually got up and walked inside. Vanessa said that there is no reason for Becky to get upset, when it is her that is on the block. Vanessa called Becky a cold hearted person.
12:00-1:00 PM: Vanessa headed inside and told the others that she was being as sweet as possible and then Becky yelled at her and ran inside. Vanessa headed to the have-not room, where Jackie, James and Meg were sleeping. Vanessa told James that she would like some kind of explanation from someone that knows what is going on. She said that Becky yelled at her and then went inside. Vanessa said that Becky is not a nice person. She said that she is truly confused and would like to know if anybody knows what she did to Becky. Vanessa then said that she now has no loyalty to Becky after what she did to her. Vanessa revealed that Becky was part of the plan to nominate Jason and knew about it the night before. Jackie said that Becky knew about it and admitted as much, but she was not a part of it. Vanessa also said that Becky was turning on Jackie. Jackie said that it’s because Vanessa was giving Becky reason to do. Vanessa denied it. Jackie told her that that’s how Becky felt. Vanessa let James know that Becky was the one that told Clay and Shelli the plan when he was HoH and was talking about targeting them. She also told James that Becky was the one that wanted James on the block next to her when Vanessa was HoH. Finally, Vanessa told them that Becky wanted to start an alliance called “The Generals” with her, Clay and Shelli. After Vanessa left, Jackie, James and Meg all laughed about “The Generals”.
In the storage room, Austin told Liz that he spoke to Steve and he had figured out what was going on. Austin said that they agreed that Vanessa is a goner. Austin told Liz that if they win HoH during the double eviction, they may need to do something different and go against the plan. Liz said that Becky went against, so they can too. Austin figured that Shelli and Steve would be on their side. They discussed that John seems to have joined the other side now. Liz figured that it was because of Becky. Austin still did not want to nominate Becky, because he thought that it was possible that she would float back to their side. Shelli joined them in the storage room. Austin told her that they will have her back. He said that they always had her back and they are just saying what they have to say this week. Austin explained that John has joined the other side and they will have their four votes to do whatever they want now. Shelli thought that John was close with Becky but not with Jackie, James and Meg. Either way, Austin told Shelli that it is a done deal that Vanessa is going home. Liz and Julia joined them and assured Shelli that they want to work with her. Shelli said that she knows that and there are no hard feelings. Austin assured Shelli that he is not with the other side, since he knows that he would go up and go home if they went along with the plan, nominating Shelli and Steve, and one of them won the PoV. Shelli said that it’s best to work with John and Steve. Elsewhere, Liz told Julia that there is no way to save Vanessa. She said that they need to be nice to Shelli. Julia said that she is skeptical of Shelli, because she was questioning them about being in the room when the eight person group was formed to make the plan. Julia was also questioning Austin, saying that he only cares about Liz.
2:00-3:00 PM: John asked Shelli if she thinks that they should bury the hatchet with James. Shelli asked if he meant to work with James and go after Austin and the twins instead. John said that they could do that. Shelli told John that she is open to either option. John mentioned that he has heard that Liz isn’t really into her showmance with Austin. Shelli said that it’s true. John then questioned if the twins would be upset to lose Austin. Shelli told him that she doesn’t think so. John suggested that they could nominate the twins, tell them that they aren’t the target, and then use the veto in order to backdoor Austin. They began to discuss James again. John asked how they can make him feel safe. Shelli said that the thing is that she is really not that scary. She asked if James will vote her out this week. John said absolutely not. Shelli said that that would be a first step towards mending things. John assured Shelli that people want Vanessa out badly. He pointed out that she makes deals with everyone and then send others people after you instead. John told Shelli that he would not be surprised if Vanessa was the one that started the whole plan to target the two of them and Steve. John said that he is glad to have Shelli there, since she wont mess up like Clay would when he went to Vanessa on Thursday and begun he whole blow up. Shelli told John that she feels just as good about him as she did when Clay was still there.
3:00-4:00 PM: Vanessa begun crying to Shelli, telling her that people are not good people. She said that they are hurtful and there is a better way to go about things. Vanessa explained that Becky yelled at her and had such venom in her. Shelli asked if Becky explained anything. Vanessa told her that the only reason that Becky gave was that she didn’t like that Vanessa asked her to give her word that she would nominate John. Vanessa said that Becky is upset at herself because she gave her word and did not stick to it. Vanessa said that Becky never intended to nominate John and she was just looking for a reason to nominate her. Vanessa said that this was the best that she could do and it was sad. Vanessa mentioned that if it was for a game reason such as she is good at competitions or she is a vote for Shelli, that would make more sense. Vanessa felt that it was a toss up as to which one of them stays, but she wanted to work together with Shelli to plan things about before Thursday, to give the one that stays the best shot to succeed. She told Shelli that one of them will be able to return. Vanessa asked if Shelli believes that Austin and the twins didn’t know about the plan. She said that she never thinks that the twins know anything, though she wondered about that too. Vanessa said that Austin knew.
Vanessa told Austin and Liz that they should be mad, since Austin is going to be the next to go. Vanessa asked if she is the target. Austin said that that’s what they have been told. Vanessa said that it makes no sense for James to keep Shelli. Vanessa asked Austin if he could swing that vote. Austin said that he can try. She said that the argument to use is that Shelli has more connections, since she is with John as well as with them. Vanessa felt that Jackie, James and Meg did not have to break their word just because Becky broke hers. Austin said that’s a good argument but he believes that Becky is hiding the fact that it was a four person decision. Vanessa begun crying and said that she made it happen for Austin when his back was against the wall, so she is asking for the same thing in return. Austin and Liz said that they will try. Vanessa asked if they feel the need to vote the same way as the others. Austin said no and that Becky told them that they can vote however they want. Austin talked to Liz and said that he doesn’t think that people would go against the deal during the double, but they would the week following that. He expected that they would still want Shelli out first. Liz said that she is not sticking to the plan and she will take one of them out if she wins. Austin agreed. Liz said that she is not doing Vanessa’s dirty work for her, since she needs to campaign and get herself out of the situation that she put herself into. Austin said that Vanessa let paranoia take over, just like Audrey did.
7:00-8:00 PM: Vanessa was crying to Austin. She said that she has not gotten an explanation for anything and people are treating her like Audrey. She mentioned that at least Jason had people. Vanessa told Austin that her friends suck. Austin said that they thought that she was sleeping and wanted time alone. Vanessa questioned if anyone even cared if she is okay. Austin said that she seemed alright when she was out there and then they thought that she went back to bed. Austin told Julia and Steve that Vanessa thinks that her friends are abandoning her. Steve said that he thought that she did not want anyone to talk to her. Steve and Julia went to check on Vanessa. Vanessa begun crying and said that it is BS that her friends did not check on her in 7 hours. Julia apologized. She said that they all thought that she was sleeping. Steve said that he thought that she wanted alone time, so he apologizes for that. Julia told Vanessa that they know that she has had their backs from the beginning and she doesn’t want Vanessa to feel this way. Vanessa said that she doesn’t even know why she is on the block, cause all that Becky told her is that it’s because she asked Becky to give her her word. Vanessa said that Becky yelled at her and her voice was quaking because she was so mad.
8:00-9:00 PM: Vanessa told Julia and Steve that she did not understand why Becky gave her word that she would not put her up, even when she approached her and said that she would understand if she could not nominate John. Vanessa continued crying and said that not even one person gave her a hug, even though she has been the nicest person to everyone there. She said that it makes her feel that everyone knew and feels so guilty that they do not even want to be around her. Vanessa asked if Steve knew. Steve said that he had a suspicion that John would not go up. Vanessa asked him directly if he knew when she asked him this morning. Steve said no. Vanessa said that everything in her gut tells her that Steve knew. Julia said that she had no idea and that Becky did not tell her anything until afterwards. Vanessa said that she knows that Steve knew and that he should not compromise his integrity further by denying it. Steve said that he is sorry that Vanessa feels that way. Vanessa asked if she is wrong. Steve said yes. He explained that he was expecting it because there is no way that Becky would put John up.
Vanessa asked Julia and Steve to give her time alone. She cried under the blankets and said that she hates these people and they are fake. Steve told Julia that he feels so terrible. He said that as a human being he wants to help Vanessa. John pointed out that every single person has gone through this and so will the rest of them when it is their turn. Austin told Liz about his talk with Vanessa. He said that he is sick of this. Austin said that he does not know owe anyone anything, yet Vanessa is having a total meltdown. Austin said that Vanessa has lost it and he wondered if she is going to try to blow up their games now. Austin brought up how Vanessa is saying that she does not want to be treated like Audrey. Both Austin and Liz agreed that Vanessa is acting like Audrey. Julia told Austin and Liz that Vanessa thinks that people knew that she was being nominated beforehand. Specifically, she said that Vanessa believes that Steve knew. Julia said that Vanessa is losing it and is crying really bad. She said that she has never seen Vanessa like this. Austin pointed out that the worst thing that can happen is Vanessa goes to jury and has a chance to come back, so it’s not that bad. Austin said that he does not understand why Vanessa is going nuts on the first day. He said that he is sick of it.
11:00-12:00 AM: John asked Steve what they should do if they win HoH. Steve said that he is waiting to see what cracks form after Vanessa starts campaigning. Steve told John that he wants to see which set of nominees will cause the biggest crack. John said that they need to pick a side and decimate the other. John pointed out that neither side is a powerhouse in competitions, while they are. John included the two of them, Becky and Shelli in that group. Steve asked if Becky is on their side. John said that he thinks that they can pull her over, though they need to keep that quiet. John said that his vote will not be changing, even if one of the sides decides that they want to keep Vanessa. He explained that Shelli is on their side and Vanessa is going to go to whichever side suits her at the time. Vanessa spoke to Julia to ask about whether or not everyone wants her out. Julia said that Becky is the only one targeting her. Vanessa said that she has really good ideas and is actually excited to see if she can make this work. She told Julia not to count her out yet. Vanessa said that she has got to play and she cannot quit.
1:00-2:00 AM: Jackie, James and Meg chatted in the have-not room. They discussed that it may be best for them to evict Shelli this week. Meg felt that they would be regretting it later if they did not make the move. She said that it would be easier to get rid of Shelli in the double eviction than it would be to get rid of Vanessa. Shelli had taken Clay’s sweater back from James earlier in the night, which led James to believe that she is still salty about Clay’s eviction. James said that he does not want to go against Becky but the whole house went against him last week. Meg said that they need five votes. James thought that they would need to get the twins on board. Jackie said that they would be, since Austin would want to keep Vanessa. James also brought up that Steve likes Vanessa. They agreed that they have a better chance of protecting Becky from Vanessa than they do of keeping their whole group safe with Shelli in the house. Meg said that Vanessa has enemies other than them in the house, while Shelli does not. Jackie pointed out that the thing that sucks is that Becky will be a sitting duck and cannot protect herself. Jackie thought that they would have to get Vanessa to agree to give them 100% safety, otherwise she is going home. Meg said that they need to do what is best for their whole team, not just Becky. James agreed. Jackie said that they can think it over some more and then make their move on Wednesday if they decide to do this. Their only concern was upsetting Becky.
2:00-3:00 AM: Jackie said that they are such little schemers. Meg said that they have got to be. She said that they have to think smart and she wouldn’t be on board with this unless she believed that they could get Vanessa out second on Thursday night. Jackie figured that Vanessa would nominate her next to Becky. Jackie said that it may also be James nominated next to Becky. Meg disagreed, saying that Vanessa has a soft spot for James and she always brings him information whenever someone says something bad about him. Meg said that Becky and Jackie being on the block is better than Jackie and James being on the block. Meg said that James has a different quality than Becky does, that she would really like to keep in the game. Jackie was concerned that Austin and the twins would keep Becky over her, since Becky kept them safe this week. Meg said that Vanessa would make them vote Becky out. Meg felt that Vanessa was more of a question mark in terms of what her plan would be. Jackie said that they can make a deal with her and make her say it.
3:00-4:00 AM: Meg told Jackie that she will be kicking herself if they let Shelli get by this week. Jackie agreed, especially after she stayed last week. Meg said that Becky is going to kill them. Jackie said that Becky will just have to deal with it. Meg said that she will get over it but she is going to be so pissed. Jackie said that they will have to explain to her that they have a gut feeling that evicting Shelli is the right move to make. Meg said that they can protect Becky if Vanessa comes after her but Becky cannot protect them if Shelli comes after them. Jackie and Meg said that they cannot lose Steve or John. Jackie was concerned that Steve would not take out Vanessa. Meg said that he would be their shot to break up Austin and the twins, because he would target Austin.
