BB17 Day 58
August 14, 2015
11:00-12:00 PM: Liz told Austin that Vanessa is weaselling her way into everything. Austin said that she thinks that she can run every HoH. Liz was annoyed that Vanessa told James about the Final 6 deal that they were going to make ahead of time. Austin said that Vanessa is getting consumed by the game and cannot talk about anything but it. Austin felt that they needed to secure something with Becky so that she would not come after them next week. They discussed that Becky and Vanessa could go after each other. Austin pointed out that another reason to get rid of John this week is that he would align with Shelli if Shelli returns. Austin told Liz that they need to let Steve know that Vanessa was very skeptical of him. Vanessa then interrupted the talk. Vanessa brought up that it could be risky to make a deal with John, because he could tell Becky. The concern would then be that Becky would tell James and Meg, at which point they would realize that they are playing both sides.
12:00-1:00 PM: Liz had to choose three have-nots for the week. She chose John, Steve and Vanessa. In addition to slop, the have-nots will be able to eat pork chops. Julia spoke to Liz and said that Austin might just want to get John out because he believes that John is after him. Julia wanted to speak to Liz alone at some point, without Austin around. Becky headed up to the HoH room to talk to Austin and the twins. Austin told Becky that her talk with them last night changed a lot of things. Austin asked if they can count on her not to tell John about this conversation. Becky said yes. Austin said that they would be doing someone else’s job if they went after her this week. However, he said that going after Vanessa is also not their job. Becky said that they know who her target would be if she stayed in the house. Becky feared that she would go home if she went on the block, since Vanessa is so good. Liz said that they are not telling Vanessa much anymore and they will not fall for what she is saying. After Becky left, Austin told Liz that they can still send Becky home if she doesn’t handle being a pawn well.
1:00-2:00 PM: Liz was concerned that Becky would stay and then go after her. Austin said that she would go after Vanessa and would nominate Steve with her. Liz said that everyone likes them better than Vanessa too, so Vanessa would go home if nominated next to her. They discussed telling James and Meg that they want to keep Becky to have her go after Vanessa. Liz said that they have to let them know that if you want to go after Vanessa you can but you better not go after us. Austin said that Vanessa will be a backdoor candidate if she goes nuts over the next few days. He added that he would like Meg or James to win HoH next week to get Vanessa out. They felt that Vanessa has to realize that she is the #4 in their alliance. Austin told James that Becky let them know that he was told to throw the Battle of the Block next to Liz, but they are not mad at him about it. Austin told James, Julia, Liz and Meg that Vanessa thinks that she is the #6 in their group but they can bring Becky in as the #6 as well. Austin revealed that they are considering making Becky the pawn and John the target. Meg said that Becky is more scared of being backdoored than put up initially, so she will prefer that. Liz said that she wants Becky to stay and she does not have a relationship with John. Becky joined Austin, Liz, Julia, James and Meg. They told Becky that someone from the group needs to go on the block, implying that it will be her. She asked if Vanessa is the target. Austin said not necessarily and that they need to see how she reacts to things this week. Becky warned Liz that Vanessa will give her lots of ideas and will make her promise to keep her name out of it. She also said that Vanessa will find a way to get her target out and then will spin it in a way that Liz becomes the target over it.
Vanessa told John that she knows for a fact that he is not Liz’s target. John and Vanessa got on the topic of the eight person group that formed to target Shelli, Clay, John and Steve. John brought up that he heard about the deal from Vanessa, when she was telling Clay and Shelli about it in the bathroom. Vanessa said that that’s untrue, as they had never discussed the eight person group together until yesterday. She said that she did not even tell Shelli about it until 48 hours ago, and Shelli was upset that she did not tell her sooner. John said that Vanessa was there and was telling Clay and Shelli that she was worried that the other seven would not stick to the deal. Vanessa said that she was talking about a different eight person group. She told John to be careful what he says, unless he knows for a fact what she said, because taking something out of context is on him. John questioned why she is getting mad at him when all that he did was tell her what he thought. Vanessa said that implying that she heard about the deal from her is not cool, cause he did not. John said that he heard it from Becky but that was after he heard Vanessa talk about it.
Vanessa left the room and went to Steve. She said that she will give him a chance to come clean before it gets out of hand. She asked Steve if he told John what he had told her about the eight person deal. Steve said that Becky told him and John about it. John walked in on the conversation. Vanessa told John that he heard about the deal from Becky, not her. John said that he heard a very similar thing from Vanessa. Vanessa told John that she wants to help him in the game. She said that they are in a very similar spot and are not part of a meaningful group that has unity. Vanessa swore on her mother that she did not tell Shelli about the eight person group back when John thought that she did. John pointed to the camera and said they got that. John and Vanessa began discussing the blow up with Clay. John said that he felt that he was bullied by Vanessa, since she was asking him to throw Clay or James under the bus. Vanessa said that bullying is a really strong word. Vanessa said that it was unfair to blame her for what happened. John said that it is only being discussed because she brought it up. He then told her that he doesn’t like when she cries and yells at people. Vanessa said that she doesn’t like it when she cries either and she does not do it on purpose. As for yelling, Vanessa told John that she is sorry that John feels that way and it will never happen with him. Vanessa then walked out.
3:00-4:00 PM: Liz nominated Becky and John for eviction. Austin and Liz discussed that John needs to go this week. Austin went to James and said that Vanessa went nuts and said that John may have to leave over Becky. Liz told Julia that Austin is perfect because he does all of her dirty work and it looks like he is the one making her decisions. Liz said that John is her target, because Becky is handling things way better at the moment. Julia told Liz that she does not want Austin to influence her decision, because Austin did not win HoH and he just thinks that John is after him. Liz pointed out that she did not have any other options for nominations. Liz said that Vanessa is freaking her out but she cannot go after her. Julia said that Vanessa is not going to go after them. Liz said that she knows and that Vanessa would go after Austin first. Julia said that she wants Becky to stay to go after Vanessa. Liz asked Julia to smooth things over with John for her. Julia told her that John would go after Austin and Vanessa, not her. Julia asked Liz what she thinks about James. Liz said that he is a backdoor option, though she later backtracked on that a bit. Julia suggested that Meg could be a pawn if needed.
4:00-5:00 PM: Steve told Austin, Julia, Liz and Vanessa that John thinks that there is a chance that he is going home if he doesn’t win the veto. Vanessa said that she told John that he has the votes and she doesn’t get why he thinks that she is lying to her. Liz and Vanessa discussed that he is acting volatile. Vanessa said that John tried to bully him even though she was the victim. Vanessa said that she tried to befriend John and make him feel safe but he wasn’t having any of it. Austin entered the room and Steve asked what he wants to happen with John. Austin said that he wants John to go home and that he is the target. Steve said that James, Meg and Becky are the people that would for sure come after them, while John is a question mark. He said that a question mark is better than someone that is for sure coming after them. Vanessa said that she wants Becky to go. Austin, Steve and Vanessa discussed that the ideal scenario is to get John on their side.
In the have-not room, Meg told John that Austin and the twins are now questioning Vanessa after things have come out in the past week. John told Meg that Vanessa was trying to tell him that they need to work together. Meg suggested that it may help if John throws Vanessa under the bus. John was concerned about Austin having a Final 2 deal with Vanessa. Meg said that she is under the impression that Austin only cares about the twins. John and Meg discussed that they are all going after Vanessa next week. John felt that there was no chance at getting Vanessa nominated this week, because they know that Vanessa would be the target next week. Meg went to James to tell him that Vanessa is telling John that she wants to work with him. James said that Vanessa is playing everyone in the house. Meg then told Austin that she spoke to John and he is fine and said that Vanessa has been trying to make deals with him, but he caught her in a huge lie. Meg let Austin know that John’s concern about talking to Austin is that he is close with Vanessa.
5:00-6:00 PM: Austin told the twins that they need to stop Steve from smoothing things over between John and Vanessa, because they need John to target her. Austin also thought that they needed to tell Steve everything that they found out about Vanessa. Julia said that she would prefer that John stays if he is going after Vanessa. Liz said that she too wants Becky out, for the same reason that Austin wants John out. Austin said that he would go after whichever of the two remains next week. Liz said that she is done with Vanessa. Austin said that they are in too deep with her and she knows everything about them. Liz told him that that’s why they need someone else to take her out. John spoke to Austin and Liz. They assured him that they are on to Vanessa and that whatever he says will not get back to her. John said that Vanessa is claiming that James put the eight person group together. Austin and Liz said that it was actually Vanessa. He then expose that Vanessa told Clay and Shelli about the deal and he walked in right in the middle of the talk. As for the blow up with Vanessa and Clay, John admitted that he said the things about Vanessa and Clay was covering it up for him. John said that he has been after Vanessa for a while now but he has not told anyone. He said that he is willing to make a deal to nominate the Goblins as the pawns in order to get Vanessa out. Austin let John know that he made a compelling case for anyone to take Vanessa out next. John understood that it was not best for their games to make that move this week.
6:00-7:00 PM: After the talk with John wrapped up, Austin told Liz that they cannot take Vanessa out. He said that they need her in there so that everyone else will target her next. Liz agreed. Austin did not want to have another situation like the one where they took out Audrey. Austin said that Vanessa painted this picture of John as a psycho that was out to hurt her, cause she knew that he would expose the truth. They both agreed that they like John. Austin told Liz that Becky is going to have to go unless she wins the veto.
1:00-2:00 AM: Meg told James that she has already accepted it that she will probably be going on the block if the veto is used. James said that he will try to win the PoV and he will then keep nominations the same. Steve spoke to John and said that they need to play nice with Vanessa, because she has power and John is still on the block. Steve told John that people are scared by the way that his attitude has changed since Clay and Shelli left. Steve said that he needs to work on that, because they need to ensure that he remains a pawn and does not become the target. Steve told John that he is not at risk this week, since he has him, Austin and Julia voting for him. For that reason, Steve said that it’s too risky for John to pick him to play in the veto competition and possibly use the veto on him, since John is safe anyway and they do not want to be seen as a duo. John discussed that he may choose Julia. Steve headed up to the HoH room and asked about having John pick him to play in the competition. Austin and Liz said that they do not want the veto to be used. They ultimately decided that it was best for John to choose Julia, since they guaranteed that John has votes from Austin, Julia and Steve, as well as from Liz if necessary. They then talked about Vanessa. Steve was asked how he found out about the eight person deal. He said that it was from Becky. Austin and Liz explained that they are hearing that Vanessa leaked it to people. Austin also revealed that Vanessa was in on plan to have James throw the BoB in order to get Austin and Liz nominated together when Jackie and Vanessa were HoHs. Austin told Steve that Vanessa called Steve disloyal and told people that he was aligned with John and Shelli when he would not commit to voting for her last week. Austin and Liz told Steve that they cannot let Vanessa know that they are on to her, otherwise she will go nuts.
2:00-3:00 AM: Austin told Steve that he trusts what James and Meg say more than he trusts what Vanessa says right now, which is scary. Austin said that they do not want the nominations to change, because everyone will be pressuring them to nominate Vanessa. Next week, Austin said that everyone will be nominating Vanessa. He said that even he is considering it at this point. Austin and Liz made it clear that they will not be going against Vanessa this week, though they may have to sit back and let it happen next week. Austin suggested that they could bring John into their alliance in place of Vanessa. They said that they will not talk to John about that yet, but Liz told Steve that he can let John know that he has votes from Austin, Julia and Liz. After Steve left, Austin told Liz that she cannot nominate Vanessa this week, because she would out the Freaks and Geeks if she did that.
