BB17 Day 63
August 19, 2015
1:00-2:00 PM: Becky had been in pain all morning due to a toe injury that she aggravated in the veto competition on Saturday. The toe was swollen and Becky was crying this morning, waiting for Big Brother to get someone to check it out for her. Becky returned from the diary room. She saw a medic. Becky said that they made incisions in her foot to relieve the pressure. Becky explained that her toe nail was not growing back properly and there was a bacterial infection. She said that she was too that the infection would go away quickly and then she will just have a couple of cuts on her toe that she needs to take care of. Becky told the others that she is in a lot of pain right now, because she is waiting for Big Brother to get her some medication. James asked Becky if she is going to be ready for the HoH competition on Thursday. Becky told him that ideally she will be.
2:00-3:00 PM: Austin told Liz that he is curious if this HoH competition will come down to James vs John. Liz said that they are good either way. Austin told her that they will chose their side based on who wins. Liz agreed that that’s what it will come down to this week. Austin said that he thinks that Becky is milking her injury and that it’s a strategy. Liz agreed. Austin hoped that Julia was not falling for it. They discussed that Becky may come up to them and say that she will no longer be able to compete well due to her toe. Austin suggested that they could turn this around on Becky and tell her that they are concerned about her injury and that they need someone that is strong in order to help them. Liz said that she does not want to keep Becky around. Austin said that Liz will get whatever she wants. Liz told him that it’s a mutual decision, since they are the king and queen of the house. Liz pointed out that Becky is the one coming after her and that John is not. Austin said that John is also not as strong of a competitor as Becky is. They agreed that Becky still needs to go. Steve is on board with keeping John as well, giving them the only votes that they need to secure Becky's eviction.
3:00-4:00 PM: Austin told the twins that it would be good if James won HoH, because he would then be unable to compete the following week once someone returns. Austin was concerned that Jackie would return and then James would not target her. Julia mentioned that it is best to keep Vanessa around until the week after next, so that she cannot return. Liz said that the worst case scenario is Vanessa winning HoH, because everyone else would go tell her that they have been talking about targeting her. Austin told the twins that John will nominate James and Meg if he wins HoH, backdooring Vanessa. Austin said that John will not go after them, since Steve is in his ear. Julia said that they could throw HoH to John then, but Austin felt that it was risky to do so. Austin also fell that it was risky to go after Vanessa next week, as she could come back. Austin figured that John could be talked into not targeting Vanessa if it was what is best for the group. On the other hand, he said that James would be upset with them if they kept Vanessa over Meg. He pointed out that they have more reason to get rid of Vanessa than anyone else, due to what she has done to them.
10:00-11:00 PM: Austin spoke to Liz and told her that Vanessa is already going back to her old ways. He said that he cannot deal with it anymore and just wants to win HoH and get her out. Liz said that the best Final 5 would be Austin, Julia, James, Meg and herself. Liz said that they would have so much fun together. Austin agreed that that would be the best.
11:00-12:00 AM: Liz told Julia that it’s really annoying how people are talking about possibly keeping Becky because of her toe. Liz said that they are not doing it. Julia hesitated to respond, which led Liz to question why she is seconding guessing things. Julia said that Becky obviously cannot compete tomorrow, so why not keep her. Liz said that Becky is a threat to her and will take her out. Julia said that the only reason that she will go along with that is because Becky has been annoying her. Julia did mention that Becky probably isn’t even going after Vanessa anymore, so she has got to go. Vanessa joined the twins and suggested that it may be a good option to keep Becky now that she is injured and cannot compete tomorrow. Liz told Vanessa that Becky will nominate the two of them together. Vanessa told Liz that she has Austin and Julia, so there is no way that she would ever go. Vanessa pointed out that she wants Becky out more than anyone but the move was something to consider due to Becky’s injury. Liz said that Becky is after her and she has got to go. Vanessa brought up making a deal with John, ensuring that he will not nominate them, since they could be keeping Becky and she cannot compete.
Austin, Liz, Julia and Vanessa went over their options with regards to the vote. Vanessa discussed the benefits of keeping Becky due to the injury. Austin countered that by saying that Jackie could return and then Becky and Jackie would team up. Vanessa said that they can get rid of Becky next week, before anyone gets the chance to return. Vanessa said that they can talk to John and leverage this situation in order to get him to offer them safety in exchange for their votes. Vanessa asked that Austin or Julia do the talking, because John does not like her. Austin asked if they even want to win this HoH, since James, Meg, John and Steve will all go after each other. Vanessa said that she does not think that they do. Meanwhile, downstairs, James and Meg discussed that Vanessa was up in the HoH room potentially trying to get Becky to stay. James mentioned that Becky is damaged right now, while John is fresh. Meg said that it isn’t up to them. James agreed. They discussed that Vanessa has got to go, since she is always plotting something and it gets tiring. James and Meg then headed to bed.
John and Steve joined Austin, Vanessa, Liz and Julia in the HoH room. Austin told John that they all want to keep him. He said that hopefully John will not nominate or backdoor them. He mentioned that they are going to make sure that James and Meg do not flip the vote, because Becky will recover and then she will be with those two. John said that he is down. Afterwards, Austin and Julia let John and Steve know that Vanessa orchestrated that talk between them but did not want to have to speak up. Austin said that Vanessa feels comfortable now and wants to throw HoH. They asked who Vanessa thinks that Meg and James would go after then. Austin figured that she must think that they are after John and Steve, though they likely want Vanessa out. Austin told them that as long as Vanessa is on the block, they have the votes and both of them will be safe if up against her. Austin revealed that Vanessa had originally come to them about flipping the vote in order to save Becky, prior to suggesting cutting a deal with John. John did not have much to say in reply to that.
12:00-1:00 AM: Once Austin and the twins were the only three left in the HoH room, they discussed what they will tell James and Meg about what just happened. Austin suggested telling them that Vanessa wanted to cut a deal with John, getting safety in exchange for their votes. However, he did not want to let them know that Steve was also involved, since they wanted to cover up that they are working with Steve. They agreed to leave Steve’s name out of it, though Austin was a bit concerned that Vanessa would have that piece of info on them and could use it against them. Austin told the twins that it might be best for them to throw HoH, like Vanessa said. As for the vote, Liz said that Becky has got to go. Austin said that they are voting her out. Julia said that she feels good about John and believes that he would target James and Meg before them.
