BB17 Day 67
August 23, 2015
11:00-12:00 PM: Vanessa asked John if he was planning on breaking his deal with her if he won HoH. John said to keep himself safe, yeah. They then began to clear the air on some other issues between them. Vanessa asked if he is over everything with regards to Becky and Clay. John said that he is, cause they are gone and he has no one in this game. Vanessa said that she learned a lot during her talk with Austin last night. Vanessa told John that people were opportunistic and blamed her for things that she was not responsible for. John said that he feels as though he is alone in the game, everyone wants to keep Steve and he is probably going to be the one going. John said that he has lost friend after friend and heard that Vanessa had a part in it. John told Vanessa that even though they may be the biggest enemies in the house, he is alone at this point. John said that he is willing to listen if Vanessa wants to work on something moving forward. Vanessa said that she respects the way that John is handling the conversation. John told her that he wants to get something off of his chest. He brought up that in week one he told Vanessa something about the girls alliance rumour and then Audrey said that Vanessa told her and blamed him, which led to the fight with Da’Vonne. Vanessa said she didn’t even know that John had told her about it and she had blamed Jeff. She said that Audrey is the one that spun it against John.
12:00-1:00 PM: John told Vanessa that she doesn’t even have to clear anything up with him, cause he has no one. John said that he is down with working together moving forward, cause he has nowhere else to go. John said that Vanessa could have lied to him from Day 1 and he wouldn’t care at this point and would still be down with working together. Vanessa told John that Austin and the twins are on the fence about what they should do this week, but she thinks that she can help him out. Vanessa asked if Steve has given information that John has led her to believe has come from someone else. John said no. She specifically asked if Steve told John about the eight person deal. John again said no. John then cleared things up about the fight with Clay. He said that it was his idea and Clay had seen that he was just talking with James, so Clay added it up on his own and incorrectly assumed that James put that idea in his head. After that, John said that Clay told him to blame it on him since he was going home that night anyway. Vanessa said that things finally make sense about that for the first time. They agreed that it would be stupid for them to continue to go at each other. Vanessa said that Austin will hopefully do the smart thing and target people that have never been on his side and never will be. Vanessa asked if John would be willing to nominate the returning juror and whoever remains between James and Meg. John said that he would be. They discussed that a pawn could be used if one wins PoV, cause they have the votes anyway.
Vanessa let John know that she will do what she can to help him out. She said that she can only use the veto to save one person, though that is all that John would need. John said that he doesn’t even care if she uses it on him, as long as he is safe. Vanessa said that it would be dumb to let John go home. John asked if they should still act angry with each other, since that seems to be keeping them safe so far. Vanessa said that’s a good point. They decided that they should act as though they are uneasy with each other. Vanessa said that John can talk crap about her. He said that he will tell her right away if he does. She said that Steve is the only one that they should let know that they are not mad at each other, since the three of them can look out for each other. Vanessa asked if John has anything on James and Meg that she can use. The only thing that John mentioned was that Meg came up to him last week and said that it would be beneficial for his game to go and tell the HoH anything that he has to say about Vanessa. John explained that he doesn’t have anything other than that because he has never talked game with James and Meg. He also said that it bothered him how quickly those two turned on Becky. Vanessa let John know that she would love to use the veto and she thinks that she can do it in a way that Austin will not be mad. John told Vanessa that he sees her as a better player than Steve and he would like to work together. Vanessa asked him to have her back over Austin and the twins if it came down to it. John said that he would take Vanessa over them.
Vanessa told Austin and Liz that John came clean about everything and is being honest. She said that the distrust between them stems all the way back from when Audrey was there. Vanessa told them that she is now on the same page with John for the first time in the game. Vanessa told Austin and Liz that John guarantees that he will nominate whoever is left of James and Meg and the returning juror. Austin said that he wants to find out if John and Steve had a Final 2. Austin said that Steve swore that he did not have a Final 2 with John, so he wants to find that out. Vanessa said that the best part of it all is that John told her that Meg suggested that he go up to Liz last week and tell everything that he has on her, cause they are doing the same and want to make Vanessa the target. Liz told Vanessa that Meg, not James, is always the one that say stuff about her. Austin said that he needs to be able to have John connect James and Meg to a plot to take Vanessa out.
1:00-2:00 PM: Austin questioned John about having a Final 2 with Steve. He said that it’s fine if they have one but he wants to know when they decided that. John said that it was never really decided but they were brought together before Clay and Shelli left. Austin said that he needs reasons as to why he for sure cannot trust James and Meg if he is going to go against them. John said that James has always claimed to have his back. He asked Austin if it’s true. Austin said that James told him that he would put John up if he won this week, though he didn’t have many options to name. Austin and John compared notes and found that James had told them both that he would throw HoH to them. Up in the HoH room, Liz told Julia that John had a talk with Vanessa and came clean about everything. Liz said that Vanessa is now feeling better about John. Liz also said that she is feeling sketched out by Steve. Julia said that it would be awesome to get Steve out, since he will be strong in the upcoming competitions. However, she said that they need to keep Steve because anyone that comes back will not work with Steve, though they would work with John. Liz said that’s a great point. Julia suggested that they need to keep targets such as Vanessa and Steve in the game and in front of them. She said that nobody will go after John if he is in the game. Vanessa then joined them and cleared things up with the twins. She wanted to explain that they were not in danger the week that James threw the BoB. She admitted that she was targeting Austin but there was always the opportunity for her to flip the vote.
2:00-3:00 PM: Vanessa asked Steve if he has anything to tell her. Steve admitted to lying last night about not knowing that she was a potential target this week. Steve said that Austin had a lot of frustrations with her and that included being upset that Vanessa made the eight give their word. Steve also told Vanessa that he has heard that Vanessa pushed for an alliance between her, Austin, the twins, James and Meg, which was formed before the HoH competition. Vanessa asked Steve why he lied to her about being a target, even after she won the PoV. Steve said that he made a mistake. Vanessa explained that she has broken words in order to tell him things, so it would have been nice to have that in return. Vanessa asked why Steve was so scared to trust her vote this week. He said that he was more worried about the twins, since they are making deals with everyone. She then asked why Steve was okay with going on the block next to her. He said because the veto would have been used. Vanessa questioned how that would have happened. Steve couldn’t find an answer, at which point Vanessa told him to be honest instead of trying to spin things. She said that it boils down to Steve trusting John’s vote more than hers. Steve admitted that it was true. He said that a lot of people are talking crap about her and it got to him. He specifically named Austin, the twins and Becky as the people doing that. Vanessa said that things have been cleared up between her, Austin and the twins. Steve told Vanessa that the way that she makes deals rubs people the wrong way. He pointed out that Meg was upset about the deal that Vanessa made with her during the double eviction. Vanessa said that Meg will be going home this week. Vanessa said that Meg was opportunistic in turning people against her last week, while James wasn’t involved as much. John came by momentarily. Vanessa told him that Austin needs to hear that John will nominate Shelli and whoever remains out of James and Meg. Steve and Vanessa continued talking. Steve cleared up his apparent Final 2 with John, saying that they had discussed working together but there is no actual Final 2. Vanessa said that her only Final 2 is with Steve, since she would be a fool to think that she has one with Austin. She admitted that they had the same type of talk as Steve and John had. Steve pointed out that his move in the double eviction proved that his ultimate loyalty is to the Scamper Squad, not John. Vanessa said that’s a great point and Steve needs to explain that to Austin.
3:00-4:00 PM: Vanessa told Austin that she cleared things up with Steve with regards to his Final 2 with John. Vanessa said that Steve is claiming that John assumed that it is a Final 2 and Steve is letting him believe it, though his loyalty is to the Scamper Squad. Vanessa brought up that Steve’s move in the double eviction supports that. Austin said that John told him the same thing, saying that it was never an official Final 2. Vanessa said that they would be dumb to keep James and Meg together when they have John and Steve in their back pockets. Austin said that she could use the PoV and he would have no choice but to nominate one of them. He said that they can tell them that they are a pawn and then claim to have heard information throughout the week to flip it. Vanessa said that her instincts tell her to target Meg over James, cause she is the least likely to return. Austin said that the danger in that is that James feels the same way about Meg that he feels about Liz, so he would come after them. Austin also said that Jackie and James together would be dangerous, as opposed to Meg and someone. Vanessa said that even if James returns, he only has Meg again and he can only take one person out if he wins HoH. Austin said that he didn’t want to have to target James and Meg this week. Vanessa said that they don’t have to if he doesn’t want to. Austin said that he is willing to if they decide that it is best. They agreed to talk through the scenarios later. Vanessa pointed out that it is scary to risk having Jackie team up with James and Meg. Austin told her that that can be her reason for using the PoV, since John has given her enough information to have reason to use it.
4:00-5:00 PM: Vanessa told John that the big concern is that he would not nominate Shelli if she returned. Vanessa said that they will not even vote Shelli out over James or Meg, though he has to be willing to put her up. She also told John that Austin and the twins need to think that he would put her up if James or Meg win PoV, though he had better not do that. James or Meg winning PoV is the only way that Vanessa said that Shelli would go home next. Steve then spoke to John and said that he is doing serious damage control with everyone, since he told Clay and Shelli about their Final 2. Steve said that he is denying it to everyone. John said that he is saying that it is not really a Final 2 as well. He asked Steve if he should throw him under the bus. Steve said to go ahead but do so casually. Steve came back a couple of minutes later and said that there is no point in throwing him under the bus, since it would not be believable coming from John. Vanessa told Liz and Julia that Johnny Mac believes that he has a Final 2 with Steve but Steve’s loyalty is to them. Liz said that she think that they need to get John out, since he is sketchy in the diary room and she is over him. Julia said that James or John need to go. Liz said that they are all closer to Steve than to John. Vanessa said that John is less capable of winning than Steve is and he is also less strategic. Vanessa was able to get the twins to question their thought a minute later, having them say that Steve may need to go. Vanessa also brought up that it’s dangerous to potentially have Jackie, James and Meg in the game together. Julia said that she would love to see James go. Liz said that it would leave Meg all on her own and she would crack. Steve joined them. Vanessa said that they need to find a reason to justify nominating James or Meg.
5:00-6:00 PM: Steve, Vanessa and the twins talked about the plan for the week. Vanessa said that Austin needs a reason to justify nominating James or Meg. Julia brought up that Meg will not win anything if she is the one that they leave in the game. Vanessa said that Meg is a master manipulator though. Liz was concerned that John could be telling them one thing and could then go back on it the next week, since they have not worked with him for very long at all. Steve asked who Liz is more scared of. She said James. Vanessa said that she is 90% certain that John has dropped everything that he had with her. Vanessa said that James is the bigger competitor than Meg but she trusts him more than she trusts Meg. The twins said that James would have to go over Meg. Liz pointed out that he is known for making big moves and he would come after the twins or her and Austin. Julia said that there is no point in taking John out when there are other people that are coming after them. Vanessa said that she wants to call Meg out on her hypocrisy and lack of credibility. She said that she would quickly put Meg in her place. Steve told Austin that a couple of weeks ago he made a deal with John to not go after each other and to work together. He said that Final 2 never came up but John is under the impression that they have a Final 2. Steve pointed out that his move to take Jackie out was for the alliance, not for John. Steve then asked who is more threatening to the group moving forward. Austin said James. Austin was worried that he would come back and target them, though Steve said that he would target them anyway. They discussed what scenario gives them the best possibility of staying safe next week. They concluded that getting James out and preventing the possibility of three Goblins aligning would do just that. Steve said that the reason for voting James out once Vanessa uses the veto will present itself within the next couple of days.
7:00-8:00 PM: Austin told Vanessa that as of right now he is feeling that he does not want to put James up tomorrow, though his mind could change. Vanessa asked if he thought that it would be a good option to go for Meg. Austin said that he could be convinced of it. Austin went to Liz and Julia to tell them that unless he finds something that James is really lying about, he is not going to be nominating James or Meg. The girls said that they are on board with that. Austin said that they will have a lot of fun with the people that they like, James and Meg. He said that John and Steve can turn on them just like those two can. Austin felt that John and Steve were giving conflicting stories as to how their Final 2 deal came about. He also thought that Vanessa was pushing for what benefits her. They discussed that James and Meg had better not turn on them after they saved them two weeks in a row. Julia told Liz that she should never forget that James threw the competition with her. Julia said that she would take James out if she wins HoH next week. Austin, Liz, Julia and Vanessa discussed that John may need to go over Steve. Austin figured that Jackie would be after them, not John, if Steve was out of the house. Afterwards, Vanessa told Julia that keeping John would be beneficial since he can compete with James in an endurance comp. She said that they can beat James in a days competition on their own.
Vanessa went to talk to John. She said that she needs Austin on board if she is going to use the PoV, since they wont have the votes without the twins. Vanessa said that their concern is that Jackie or James can come back and come after them. John said that he doesn’t think that Austin and the twins have come to terms with the fact that they will not make it to the end together. John pointed out that James would be dumb to go after Steve and Vanessa if he leaves, so he doesn’t get why Austin and the twins are buying it. Vanessa pulled James aside. She asked if he told Austin that he would nominate her during the double eviction if he won HoH. James swore that he did not. She questioned why Meg doesn’t trust her. James said that he has not heard that Meg is after her, though she was upset that Vanessa tried to cut a deal with her while she was crying during the double eviction. Vanessa explained that James and Meg asked her to make the same deal just 24 hours earlier when she was on the block next to Shelli. James advised Vanessa to talk to Meg. Vanessa asked James if whoever stays this week will go up next to the returning jury member next week. James told her that that’s what he would do.
9:00-10:00 PM: Austin and Liz had a date in the HoH room. Austin told Liz that if Steve goes nuts about remaining on the block with John, then he will go home. Liz said that she wouldn’t mind John leaving. Austin said that he is going back and forth on it. Austin was concerned that people would not target John if he stayed this week. He said that Becky, Shelli and Steve would not nominate him if they returned. Austin said that he does not feel comfortable nominating James. Austin felt that it would be so dumb for James to turn on them after they really save him this week. Austin wanted to take the rest of the week to think about who to evict, John or Steve. Austin said that if they make the Final 5 with Steve and Vanessa they will lose. Austin asked Liz if she will be his girlfriend. Liz asked if he asking that when he has a girlfriend back home. Austin said that he does not. Austin said that he wants Liz to know that he is serious about her. Liz eventually said that yes, she will be his girlfriend. Austin told her that LA is really nice and she may have to make a move out there in the future to try it out. Liz told him that they can make things work and see where it takes them.
10:00-11:00 PM: Austin asked John why James told John that he would throw the HoH competition to him. John said that he wanted Vanessa out. John said that he has nothing bad to say about James. John brought up that Austin shouldn’t base his decision on which juror would come after them, since they all likely would, including him if he is the one to leave. However, John said that if it did come to a point where he had to go after Austin and the twins, he would allow it to be done on their terms. John mentioned that he has never seen Steve talk game the way that he does with Austin and the twins, meaning that he trusts them. After John left, Austin told Liz that he believes that James and Meg can convince Jackie not to come after them. Liz said that she does not get good vibes from John. Austin said that John brought up a good point that Steve actually does trust them, kind of sealing John’s fate. Liz said that Steve has done nothing and will want to make a big move, which would be taking them out. Austin said that that they can continue to debate which one should go throughout the week.
11:00-12:00 AM: Austin asked Steve when he started working with John. Steve said that Clay and Shelli were close with John and they thought that it would be good to work with John and either himself or Becky. Steve said that Clay and Shelli were on the block and then evicted before it could ever be finalized. Steve then began questioning who’s likely to target them first out of James, John and Meg. Austin said that he would assume James. Steve asked if he is saying that the best move is for James to go. Austin and Liz both said that that’s not what they are saying. Vanessa joined them and said that she only wants to use PoV if James is the target, not if they are going to vote to keep him anyway. Vanessa said that James and Meg handled their conversations very well. Vanessa said that she believes that it is the best strategic move to go after the other side but she will not use the veto unless Austin is comfortable with making the move. Steve said that they need to take out the people that are after them immediately. He said that it’s not like James and Meg wont come after them just because they keep James safe this week. They eventually dispersed. Vanessa told Steve that the odds of this plan working seem very low. She told him that he has to be careful how he approaches it, because he comes off as though he is pushing his own agenda to Austin. They both agreed that John is the person that they will want to have return if he goes this week. Steve said that Austin is trying to make sure that people go after the two of them instead of Austin and the twins. They said that they do not know what Austin is thinking, since he cannot get to the end with both twins. Steve said that neither of them will take Austin either. Up in the HoH room, Austin told James that John is saying that James was going to throw HoH to him. James said that’s a crock. Moving forward, James said that he would be on board with getting the returning juror out, even if it is Jackie.
12:00-1:00 AM: Vanessa asked Julia for her thoughts on who should be targeted. Julia said that they have been in power for a couple of weeks yet they have not taken out the biggest threat in the game, James. She hoped that this decision would not come back to bite them. Vanessa said that she does not understand why Austin is not more willing to make the move. Julia agreed that it would be a good opportunity to take him out. Julia said that they will be screwed if Jackie, James and Meg get reunited. Julia felt that they need to focus on getting the biggest threats out at this point in the game, not a floater like John. Julia asked if Vanessa is thinking the same thing. She said that she is but they cannot do it alone and they need Austin on board. Julia suggested that they should convince Liz, because Austin will do whatever Liz wants. After speaking to Austin, James asked Vanessa if she could talk to John and clear things up about him saying that James would throw HoH to him. James said that he did not say that. Vanessa went to John to ask on behalf of James. John said that both Austin and James told him that they would throw HoH to him. John told her that it happened in the purple room, right before the eviction. He swore that it happened and that the reason for it was because everyone wanted Vanessa out at the time. Vanessa told James that John is swearing that it happened. James stood by his statement that it did not. James then spoke to John about it, who explained that James told him they are all on board for getting Vanessa out and therefore he would give HoH to John if it came down to the two of them. James did not believe that he said it, though he eventually said that if John says it happened, then he guesses that it did. Liz told Vanessa that James now not knowing if he said it is making it seem as though he did.
1:00-2:00 AM: Austin told Vanessa that he wants to keep nominations the same and send John home. He said that Steve keeps flipping his story about how he and John got together. Austin said that he did not like the way that Steve was posing questions towards him or threatening him prior to nominations. Vanessa told Austin to do what he thinks is best from a strategic standpoint. Austin said that he wants to keep nominations the same. Austin said that he has lost some trust in Steve today. Austin pointed out that John and Steve will make it to the Final 4 if nobody wastes an HoH on them. Austin figured that Steve would be loyal to them if John is gone. Vanessa said that she is on board with the move. She said that there is a reason why Steve is fighting so hard to keep John around. They ultimately agreed that they will take the rest of the week to decide which of the two should go.
