BB17 Day 68 - Nominations remain the same
August 24, 2015
10:00-11:00 AM: Vanessa told John that Austin doesn’t want her to use the PoV. She said that she cannot do it alone, cause the twins would come after her and they wouldn’t have the votes anyway. Vanessa said that it’s too risky for her game. Vanessa told John that she hopes that he comes back if he leaves, which is not even guaranteed. John said he will go. Vanessa said she is frustrated, since she is always at the bottom of the totem pole. John told Vanessa that they had a five person alliance to get her out last week, including himself, Steve, Austin, Liz and Julia. Vanessa questioned Liz about the alliance. She said that Steve is the one that orchestrated it. Vanessa said that she wants Steve out, since he is disloyal. Liz told Julia about what John did. Liz said that John is done and she is voting him out. Austin joined them in the HoH room. Liz told him that John is done and that he told Vanessa about the five person alliance between the three of them, John and Steve. The twins told Austin that they want John out of the house. Austin said that Vanessa shouldn’t blame them, since Steve is one that has been after her.
Vanessa pulled Steve aside, bringing up the five person alliance. She asked who orchestrated it. Steve said no him. Vanessa told him that it was him and that everyone has confirmed it. Vanessa asked him if he would at least have the balls to admit it. Steve said no and started breathing heavily. She questioned him again about whether or not he orchestrated it. Steve said that they wanted to work with John. Vanessa said no, they wanted to get her out and it was his idea to orchestrate the five person alliance to do it. She told him that she would be breathing heavy too if she was him. Vanessa then told Austin, James and Meg that she is voting Steve out and he is gone if they want. Steve then asked Austin, in front of James and Meg, if he orchestrated the five person alliance with John. Austin said that he kind of did and he doesn’t know why Steve is coming at him publicly. Steve said that he is not coming at him and he is just asking. Austin said that’s what it is when he does it in front of everyone. Steve apologized. Austin told Steve that he has every right to make any kind of alliances he wants when he and his buddy are in dangers of being put up.
Austin told Liz that he cannot believe that Steve just asked him that in front of James and Meg. Vanessa came to them and begun crying. Liz said that John and Steve were the ones after her and that both she and Austin chose not to do it when they were HoH the past two weeks. Vanessa said that she is the swing vote and she does not want Steve there. She said that she does not trust him at all and he is being so two faced based on the things that he says to her in private. Vanessa told Austin and Liz that she does not blame them at all. Austin brought up that Steve is Vanessa’s toughest competition in a days competition next week, so he doesn’t know if they can keep him. Vanessa again said that she does not want Steve there. She pointed out that John had no reason to be loyal to her but Steve did. Vanessa said that she will not be using the Power of Veto. In the other room, James told Meg that this could not have worked out any better, since the veto is definitely not being used now. Meg wondered if the other three people in the alliance were Austin and the twins. She said that she could not figure it out. She said that John and Steve must have approached them about an alliance.
11:00-12:00 PM: Austin spoke to Steve and told him that this all happened because John basically threw him under the bus and told Vanessa about their five person alliance. Austin said that he doesn’t want Steve to go but Vanessa is pretty upset about it all right now. Steve questioned if Austin is being honest or if he is just covering himself in case Steve returns. Steve said that he would totally understand if they are using this as a reason to get him out. Austin assured him that he is being honest. Feeds then cut for the veto ceremony.
12:00-1:00 PM: Vanessa decided not to use the Power of Veto. John and Steve remain nominated. Liz asked why John said what he did. John told her that they kind of went back on the deal by nominating him next to Steve. Liz said that it’s a weird thing to say when John still had a chance to stay. John said that he doesn’t that that’s the case, since they are close to Steve. John explained that he felt as though everyone wanted him to take Vanessa out and then they turned on him as soon as it wasn’t going to happen. John pointed out that it looks as though Austin and the twins have a deal with James and Meg. Liz said that Austin made a deal during the HoH competition but that is all. Liz told John that his game is not over. John said that he is sorry but he is not at the same time. He said that he was could be leaving but he was going anyway. Liz went up to the HoH room to tell Austin and Julia that John said that he knows that they are working with James and Meg based on the nominations. Liz said that John brought up that he is going home and he knows it. Julia said that he is. Austin said that right now Steve is, since Vanessa is so mad at him. The twins thought that John leaving is best for them but Steve leaving is best for Vanessa. Austin said that John has gone rogue and he is out for blood now.
Austin stormed downstairs and headed outside to confront John. He said that he does not understand why John automatically assume that he was working with James and Meg. Austin said that he made a deal during the HoH competition and he does not want to go back on his word. John said that he gets it but he felt that they were not reassuring him and did not tell him much, which is what they did with Becky last week. Austin said that all of Vanessa’s venom is directed at Steve right now, so John should not feel defeated. Austin said that he came down and made a dramatic scene but he is not that mad. He suggested that John talk to Austin and Liz, since they are upset with John. John said that he did what he had to do, just like Austin did what he had to do by making the deal with James. John mentioned that he told Steve last night that anyone that comes back is going to have to go after Austin and the twins. Austin said that Vanessa is with them too, so it’s a four. John let Austin know that he doesn’t blame him for anything that he did, since it saved him. John said that he needs to try to save himself too.
1:00-2:00 PM: Austin told Steve that Vanessa is so angry at him. Austin said that Vanessa needs to calm down. He explained that Vanessa feels that Steve was being over the top phony with her. Austin let Steve know that Vanessa wants him to go but the twins do not. Austin said that he will get through to Vanessa that Steve needs to stay. Steve asked who told Vanessa that he orchestrated the alliance. Austin said that he believes that Liz said that Steve was their connection to John. Steve then asked if he actually did orchestrate it. Austin said that he is not sure that it was and that’s what he tried to tell Vanessa. Afterwards, Vanessa spoke to Austin and said that this may be a could spot to get rid of Steve. She said that he is a strong competitor and the bigger threat to win the game. Austin countered that by saying that they could use Steve to be a target in front of them if Jackie returns, which would keep Vanessa safer. Austin also felt that Steve would keep his word to them moving forward, while John is rogue and has said that he is coming after himself and the twins. Vanessa said that she is open to keeping either, though her gut is concerned about Steve. Liz joined them and said that her gut is telling her to get rid of John. Austin said the same. They agreed that there is plenty of time to figure things out.
2:00-3:00 PM: Liz and Julia discussed that John needs to go. Liz said that she will not even be nice to him anymore and she is over it. Julia said that they have come this far with Steve and he will be going after Vanessa before he comes after them. Liz said that Vanessa is thinking about her own game. Liz pointed out that they have no control over the votes this week and that it’s all up to Vanessa. They discussed that James and Meg would be dumb to vote John out, which puts everything in Vanessa’s hands. Julia said that she does not want to vote John out if he is going to be staying, since he would definitely be after them then. They said that they will have to try to convince people to keep Steve.
3:00-4:00 PM: James and Meg told Austin earlier in the day that Steve called them a “fortress”. Julia said that she could tell Steve that she overheard it being said and she wants to know what he meant by that. Austin and Liz agreed that it’s a good plan. Austin questioned why they are keeping Steve, when he is another person that they will not want to put on the block but they will have to. Julia said that’s a great point. Austin told the twins that the whole house can talk to John and make a deal with him that he will stay if he is willing to throw the next HoH competition and go on the block as a pawn next to the returning jury member. Otherwise, Austin felt that they would have to put Steve on the block again and then he would really realize that he is not with them. Austin was concerned that Steve could then win the PoV and turn on them.
4:00-5:00 PM: Austin told Liz that if Steve stays they will have the same problem next week, since they will not put up Meg and James. Austin said that they also will not put up Vanessa. On the other hand, Austin felt that John may be dumb enough to make a deal with everybody. He again brought up telling John that they will keep him but he has to be a pawn next to whoever returns. Austin asked who the bigger threat to win HoH is. Liz said Steve. Liz said that Steve will likely be going after Vanessa before them, while John will be coming after them before Vanessa. Austin felt that John would be pretty alone and there is always a chance of making up with him. He thought that Steve may be desperate enough to stay that he would give his word on things.
5:00-6:00 PM: Austin told Liz that Steve feels betrayed because he is on the block. Liz said that he needs to go then if he feels that betrayed, because he will becoming after them. Austin said that they chose James and Meg over Steve. Liz said that Steve is sneaky. Austin agreed, saying that he thought that he knew where Steve was coming from but he is confused. Austin pointed out that Steve will have to go on the block next week unless he wins, so it may be best just to take him out now since he is the more dangerous player. Liz said that she would say to send out Steve if no one was coming back. She is concerned that he will return and feel betrayed. Austin figured that Becky and Shelli would align with John, while they would not necessarily align with Steve. They continued to go back and forth on the issue. Liz figured that John would spill the beans on what has been happening once someone returns. She also thought that Steve may choose to come after them after this move. Austin said that Steve has got to know that he is still their guy, even though they have to take John out. He said that it comes down to who is more likely to win HoH.
9:00-10:00 PM: James told Meg that the others are probably going to make a deal with whoever stays to throw HoH or to go for it and put Meg and himself on the block. Meg said that the others on that side are sitting really pretty. James agreed. He said that they only have to ax one of them and then they are done. James pointed out that it will be him that they ax. Meg said that she will be really done then. James said that he might have to make a big move. Meg said that she has been thinking about it too. Meg asked who James would take out. James said put Austin and Liz up and then one of them will go home. Meg asked if he would feel guilty about it. James said that there is no way that they can take the whole other side out if they wait until the Final 5 or 6 by sticking to the deal. James said that if they nominate the person that returns, they are only creating another enemy for themselves. Meg said that Becky will not be coming after them. James said that even John mentioned that to Austin’s face that he would have to go after him and the twins if he returned. James said that if the returning houseguest won HoH and asked them to join up to take out Austin, Liz, Julia, they may have to flip to that side. Meg said that they would have to. James said that it may be too early to flip sides unless someone comes back and does it for them. Meg said that the upcoming week will change everything. She asked James who they want to leave this week. James said that Johnny Mac leaving would be best for his game, since he is the only one that can beat him in physical endurance competition. Meg said that Steve is a wildcard.
John told Vanessa that he will have to work with her if he stays. He said that Vanessa will be his #1 and if he is not her #1 then there is no point in him staying. John said that they have been going after each other but she is what he has got in this game. Vanessa said that she doesn’t judge John, because he didn’t owe her any loyalty. On the other hand, she said that Steve does. Vanessa told John that she will let him know what Austin and the twins are concerned about, so that he can address those concerns. John mentioned that even if they wont vote for him, he could make it clear that he is after Austin and the twins so that he could get James and Meg on board with keeping him. Vanessa said that they will have to hope that Shelli comes back or that Becky comes back and she will listen to John. John that Becky could be reasoned with. John said that it’s probably best that they work together but make it seem as though they don’t like each other. Vanessa agreed.
12:00-1:00 AM: Vanessa sat down with Steve to explain why she is upset. Steve was confused as to what was going on, because he believed that the five person alliance with John was not created until this week. Vanessa said that it was created last week. Vanessa told Steve that he is seeming even more shady and he is going to be going home if he does not clear this up. Vanessa told Steve that he opportunistically took advantage of things in order to have John take her place in the group. John came in and Vanessa asked him when the group was made. John said last week. Steve and Vanessa headed outside to continue talking. Austin and the twins were there and they too confirmed that the group formed last week. Vanessa told Steve that he needs to not BS her if she is going to hear him out. Steve agreed. Vanessa said that Steve has been pulling strings behind the scenes against her, while at the same time getting her to confide in him. Vanessa let Steve know that she is really questioning him and how fake he is. Steve admitted that he is playing the game by doing a lot of people pleasing. Vanessa told Steve that that will only get him so far in life. Vanessa said that Steve did her dirty last week. Steve said that she is right and he apologizes for it. Steve said that he was attempting to not hurt Vanessa in the short term, which ended up hurting her in the long term. Vanessa asked what Steve would have done if he had won HoH this week. He said that he would have nominated James and Meg. Vanessa explained that Steve’s own paranoia about losing John resulted in him actually losing John. Vanessa said that she will be voting with the twins. The twins then came over and told Steve that they want to keep him and they will be voting for him. Steve said that he totally understands the move that was made this week. Steve admitted that he had an alliance called “The Rock Stars” with John. He said that they did not solidify a Final 2. As for next week, Steve said that he would not nominate Austin, Liz, Julia or Vanessa. He told them that his nominations would be James and Meg if John returns, though another returning jury member may go on the block if John does not return.
