BB17 Day 69
August 25, 2015
12:00-1:00 PM: John asked Vanessa if she is saying that she wants to move forward with him for a jury vote or to protect herself in case he returns. Vanessa told John that she has been saying it for weeks and he can ask Steve. John said that if he goes as is, Vanessa has his jury vote. He said that he will not be after Vanessa if he comes back. Vanessa told him that logically, Meg and James have each other, the twins and Austin have each other and therefore they would need to work together. John said that Austin and the twins also have Steve more so than either of them do. Vanessa agreed. John said that he has been screwed over by everyone in the house at some point, so he can put it on a hierarchy, since there is a group of three that did it to him and James and Meg that did it to him. Vanessa said that she understands. She told John that she has some questions for him so that she can understand some things even more.
1:00-2:00 PM: Vanessa told Steve that it’s best for them to continue to act like they are not getting along. Steve agreed. Vanessa pointed out that John and Steve were nominated together, so they can’t leave that same option for the two of them. They agreed that they need to make Austin and the twins feel as though they are closer to them than they are to each other. Vanessa said that John is campaigning hard to her. She said that John does not realize that she is going to vote with the twins, so it’s pointless. Vanessa asked if it’s possible that John is way more capable than they give him credit for. She said that it could be possible that John is trying to bait her in order to use it against her. She said that she is torn between telling the people what John is saying about them or holding off in case he comes back and gets mad that she told them. Vanessa told Steve that she will keep her mouth shut. She said that John doesn’t realize that the decision is already made, but he is trying to get creative. Vanessa said that the best case scenario is that John comes back, because he is willing to make big moves. Vanessa then went and asked John if he is going to try to get the votes from the twins or from James and Meg. John said that he could tell James and Meg that he has been wronged by everyone, including them indirectly for abandoning Becky and by putting him in this spot by campaigning. He said that he would tell them that he is mad at Vanessa and is really mad at Austin, Liz and Julia, so they know who he is coming after.
Vanessa was concerned that James and Meg would not go against Austin and the twins, based on this week’s nominations. John said that it has to end at some point and he will even tell Austin, Liz and Julia to their face that he is going after them. Vanessa said that the problem is that the twins will want her to vote with them. However, she did say that she is a big believer that you can vote the way that you want. John felt that he would have to make the move last minute. Vanessa asked if he would try on the twins. John told her that she has lost a lot of clout with them and that her relationship with them is not as good as she thinks. Vanessa said that it wasn’t coming into this week but there is a reason that she didn’t go up. John suggested that Austin kept her off of the block out of fear that she would flip out. Vanessa asked if Austin and the twins have said anything to John this week to indicate that they don’t trust her. John said yeah but he is the one that they are keeping in the dark. John said that Meg and James have to realize that there is two of them and three on the other side. He pointed out that Meg is incapable and James cannot win HoH every week. John said that it could be five of them (John, Vanessa, James, Meg and the returning houseguest) going into the HoH against Liz. Vanessa said that she is trying to figure out if Austin and the twins do trust her. John said that he was told all week that the veto would be used no matter what, with Vanessa going on the block. If Vanessa won, he said that James was said to be the replacement nominee. John said that they told him that Vanessa was trying to place the blame for the veto not getting used on her. Vanessa said that it was 100% Austin’s decision. John said that he believes Vanessa and could tell based on the looks on their faces. Vanessa told John that she needs to think something through but she has a really good idea.
5:00-6:00 PM: Vanessa headed up to the HoH room to tell Austin and Liz that John’s strategy is to tell James and Meg that she is targeting Austin and the twins. Vanessa said that she can make it seem as though John has her vote, so that he will campaign to James and Meg. She wanted to test them to see if they would let Austin and Liz know what was going on. If they don’t, Vanessa said that they would then have reason to target James and Meg. Liz said that John is a snake and was saying these same things about Vanessa last week. Vanessa said that John fell on his head if he actually thinks that she would trust him. Austin was concerned about testing James and Meg, since they could fail the test, get exposed, get Jackie back and then come after them. He suggested poisoning them against John instead. Austin figured that James would see that Vanessa is back with them and would not come after them until at least the week after next, out of fear of losing four more jury votes. Vanessa said that she does not trust James and Meg with the information that she just shared. She said that Austin and Liz should get John to say stuff about James and Meg instead. Vanessa figured that it was still worthwhile to test James and Meg by seeing if they come back to Austin and the twins with the information. Liz said that they cannot tell Julia about this, or else she will not be able to hold it in around John. Vanessa plans to tell John to work on James and Meg, telling them that he has her vote because she publicly stated that she is voting against Steve. She also wanted to question John about his “Rock Stars” alliance with Steve, to see if he tells the truth.
6:00-7:00 PM: Vanessa asked John if he has talked to James and Meg yet. He said no and he believes that it is best to wait so that things cannot flip again. Vanessa brought up that it would be easier for her to vote with the twins than with James and Meg. John said that he believes that it would be easier for him to get James and Meg’s votes. He said that the twins like Steve and James and Meg have turned on people in the past. John asked what it is that the twins want from him. Vanessa said to hear that he is not going after them. Vanessa also suggested that he could offer to throw the next HoH and go up as a pawn next to the returning jury member, cause Austin had previously mentioned that. She said that this is an opportunity to take out a player like Steve and it is something that Austin and the twins are openminded about. John said that he has more freedom if he sides with James and Meg, since he could put up whoever he wants out of Austin, Liz and Julia. If he sides with those three, he figured that they would make a bunch of conditions as to what he can and cannot do. He asked if Vanessa still wants him to work something out with the twins. Vanessa said that it would be easiest for her. She mentioned that trying to get James and Meg could be the Plan B. John said that he would work on the twins first then. Vanessa said that Austin and the twins are telling her that they are open to continue spitballing about the decision. John said that that’s a no based on his experience with them. Vanessa said that another concern that Austin and the twins have is that John is connected to more people in jury. John said that Steve is just as close to them. Vanessa asked if John is extremely close with Jackie. He said no. Vanessa asked if things would be salvageable between her and Becky. John said yeah and especially if he tells her.
7:00-8:00 PM: Liz told Julia that John told Vanessa that he is coming after them if he stays. They agreed that John has got to go. Liz wondered why John hates them so much, seeing as they have only been working with him for two weeks. Liz said that John is awkward as hell and they do not have a relationship with him. Liz told Julia that she would like to go use John’s face as a punching bag, though she is going to contain herself. Julia said that she cannot believe how desperate John is to stay in the game. Julia figured that Steve was not mad at them and that he would not come after them. Austin joined them and they discussed whether or not they should go talk to James and Meg. He figured that they could say that John told them that he is targeting them. Liz said that John did not say that. She said that John told them he plans to nominate one of them next to the returning jury member. Austin told the girls that it would be good for them to go talk to John and ask him to make his case to them. They weren’t so sure that it would be the good move, preferring to wait for him to talk to them. Outside, James was telling Meg about all of the conversations that he sees going on. He was concerned that the others were planning ahead to make them the targets for whoever stayed. Meg said that she agrees but she does not see it actually working. Meg told James that John and Steve trying to get them on the block does not scare her, since they had no other option. They discussed that they need someone to come back and do their dirty work, going after Austin, Liz, Julia and Vanessa. Meg said that Shelli is the only one that concerns her. James thought that they had all been in the jury house long enough to know that the two of them are not the ones running things.
8:00-9:00 PM: Vanessa spoke to Austin and Liz about her talk with John. She said that John wants to talk to them about their votes before he would go to James and Meg. She said that going to James and Meg would be a last ditch effort on his part if he cannot get the twins on board. Vanessa told Austin that she does not think that John has anything personal against him. She mentioned that John is willing to throw the HoH competition if he can stay this week. She also said that John was saying that Steve is close with Becky and is closer than he is with Shelli too. Vanessa believed that Steve was close with Becky, because he told her about the eight person deal. Austin said that John is presenting some interesting stuff. He wondered if it would be best to have John throwing HoH or to have Steve playing for them. Vanessa’s concern was that Steve would not want to make a big move. Austin figured that he would take out the returning jury member, which Vanessa was not so sure was the best thing to do. Vanessa pointed out that John does not have information against them but Steve could ruin their games if he outs the Scamper Squad. Austin said that Steve would probably do that if his game was on the line, just like he outed his “Rock Stars” deal with John. Austin wondered what would happen if Steve returned. Vanessa said that Steve is the person most likely to respect a game move and he would have to come back to their side. Vanessa discussed that she could even take the blame for the move, voting with James and Meg. She told Austin that if they went that route, then they had better have her back if Steve came back and nominated her. Vanessa said that there is a little part of her that wants to stop having the most predictable show of all time. Vanessa told Austin to talk to John and see what his instincts tell him, since they have options. Austin said that he likes keeping their options open but they have to ensure that Steve feels completely safe.
10:00-11:00 PM: Liz told Austin that she feels as though Vanessa is trying to do what is best for her game and not for theirs. Austin said that Vanessa still will not go against them in the vote. Julia said that she would not vote for John even if he offered her a million dollars. Austin brought up that there is some new information and that Steve is as close to Becky and Shelli as John is. He mentioned that John is also willing to make a deal that he will throw HoH and go up as a pawn too, which is a really good offer. Austin suggested that the twins at least hear John out and then see how they feel. Austin told them that Steve could come after them just like John could, though he would go about it in a different manner and do it like Ian did. Julia said that she just cannot believe that Becky and Steve are really that close. Austin said that Becky was the one that told Steve about the eight person deal. The twins then headed inside to find John. Austin spoke to James and let him know that he will give him a heads up if John says that he will nominate James and Meg. James said that he would do the same for them. Austin let James know that John being willing to throw HoH and go up as a pawn would be a pretty good deal. However, Austin said that Steve is the bigger shield. James countered that by saying that John has less chance of winning the types of HoH competitions that come up this late in the game. Austin figured that John would be the tougher competitor in the competitions that he and James are good at. James told Austin that he would rather have John win the game than to have them let another Ian Terry win. Austin felt that Steve is more likely to connect the dots and realize that they are working with James and Meg. Austin was concerned that John is more connected to the jury. James brought up that Becky told him that she was working on Steve and that she felt as though she had a good relationship with him.
11:00-12:00 AM: Julia told Liz that she knows that Steve would not nominate them. She was worried that Vanessa would talk to James and Meg about getting Steve out. Julia said that the only argument that she could see for getting rid of Steve is that he is more likely to win the game. Vanessa told the twins that John is so bad of player compared to Steve, so they may be stupid not to consider keeping him. Liz wondered if they could get Steve to throw HoH. Vanessa said that Steve would not do it even if he says that he will. Vanessa mentioned that she really does believe that Becky and Steve are close. Julia then had an epiphany and remembered that when Becky hugged Steve on her way out she told him some encouraging words, making her believe that they are actually close. Liz said that her gut is telling her to get John out. Julia said that his fate will be decided based on their upcoming conversation with him. Vanessa said that her gut is confused. Julia said that Jackie would target Steve. Liz said that you never know. Julia thought that nobody would go after John cause he doesn’t win anything and he is a floater. She then said that that’s a reason to keep him. Vanessa said that Steve would win the game against anyone. The twins asked John to come talk to them. Julia told Liz not to be mean to him, because there is a possibility that he will be staying. Liz and Julia asked Steve what he would do if he stayed. John said that he will do whatever they want. He asked if they want James and Meg out or if they want the returning juror out. Liz said that they want the returning juror to go. She also said that they do not want to go up as pawns. John said that targeting the juror and keeping Austin, Liz and Julia off of the block is doable. Liz clarified that they started working with John only two weeks ago and they do not want him to feel that they betrayed him. He said that he did kind of feel that they wanted him out but he realizes that none of it is personal and even if they were after him, it was strategy. Liz asked if he has talked to James and Meg yet. John said that he has not talked to them this entire game. Liz wrapped up the talk and said that they are not even asking him to throw HoH.
Julia and Liz got Austin caught up on their talk with John. Julia said that he basically just asked them what they wanted. Austin said that John is not very good at this and he will do anything since he is desperate. Austin asked the girls to take their emotions out of it and think about what the best move is. Julia said that Steve is less likely to come after them. Liz said that Austin made a good point that Steve will want to make a big move. Austin thought that Steve would target a superfan like himself. Julia brought up that John kept saying that he never talks game with James and Meg. Austin said that it’s pretty true. The three spoke to Vanessa. She told them that you will beat John in the Final 2 but will lose to Steve. Austin had talked to James and Meg about having John and Steve play rock, paper, scissors live on Thursday to decide who leaves. He told Vanessa and the twins about it. Austin said that it would be a good way to keep the blood off of their hands, especially if they are ready to go back on the deal with Steve. Out in the pool, James told Meg that something is not right. He said that Austin is claiming that Steve and Vanessa are fighting, yet they are currently studying together. James said that Vanessa’s brain is in overload and every move that she makes is strategic. Meg said that Vanessa has got to go. James felt that they would need to get someone to do it for them, cause they don’t want to upset the twins. Meg wondered why Austin and the twins have been throwing Vanessa under the bus so much. James said that they don’t want to be the ones to take her out, cause they are using her as a meat shield. Meg wanted to get Vanessa out next. They both agreed that they do not want Vanessa to win the game. Meg said that she would not vote for Vanessa to win. James said that it would be tough for him to vote for her as well. James said that he would not vote for Austin either, since he claimed that he was not playing to win.
12:00-1:00 AM: Up in the HoH room, Vanessa and the twins continued to go back and forth on who to keep. Vanessa said that whoever stays will be their fifth. She asked who would be the more well rounded person. Both twins said that Steve would be the better one. Liz said that she did not like how John handled things when he exposed the five person group. Julia said that they have been with Steve all along. Liz mentioned that they could use the opportunity to get out the stronger player in Steve. Julia told them that she does not want to do James and Meg’s dirty work, and they are the ones that want Steve out. Vanessa felt that that was the best point that had been made, since Steve is a threat but he is on their side. She did note that he is likely to turn in the next week or two if he does actually turn on them, however. They then headed downstairs. Vanessa told Steve that John is doing a poor job at campaigning. Vanessa then went to speak to John. John said that he believes that whatever Vanessa is doing is working. She said that Austin is now acting as though he does not care who stays, while the twins are telling her that it is pretty much up to her. She said that it is looking good as long as things do not change. She did bring up the possibility that they are playing her though. John said that the twins told him that they would let him know by tomorrow, so she probably doesn’t have to do a whole lot more. Meanwhile, Meg talked to Austin and Liz about how weird it is that Vanessa claims to be fighting with Steve and yet she is studying with him. Meg was even more bothered by it because Vanessa got upset when Austin and Liz tried to help them study before the double eviction. They, along with James, also discussed how the idea of getting John and Steve to play rock, paper, scissors for their Big Brother lives is brilliant.
