BB17 Day 70

August 26, 2015

12:00-1:00 PM: Austin spoke to Vanessa about the vote. He said that he believes that it would be best for him to make a new “Rock Stars” alliance with John if he is the one that they decide to keep. Vanessa wondered if it would be believable enough, since Austin has Liz. They considered other options for who could be the one to make that deal, but ultimately decided that John wants a bro and would want the deal with Austin. On the other hand, Austin said that they could always send John out but make him feel as though he did not have a part in it, because he could then help sway him against coming after them. Meg joined them in the bathroom. They discussed that they do not know which way to vote. Austin said that it may have to come down to which one of them is willing to throw the HoH competition. Meg did not think that anyone would throw it. Vanessa disagreed and said that John would likely do it. They went back do talking about having John and Steve play rock, paper, scissors to decide which one of them stays and which one of them goes. Vanessa asked if they should do best two out of three. Meg said one game, because one game would be terrifying.

Meg asked when they should play rock, paper, scissors. She suggested that they make a show of it and call a house meeting. Austin brought up the idea of having John and Steve play a round for each person’s vote. Meg liked that idea. Austin also suggested not letting them know which round was for which person’s vote. Vanessa said that this would solve their problem brilliantly, keeping the blood off of their hands. Vanessa was concerned that it would come off as though John and Steve’s chance at $500,000 comes down to rock, paper, scissors. Austin said cause they are too scared to make the decision themselves. They figured that some fans would hate it and would say that there is no strategy involved, though Vanessa said that there is since it keeps the blood off of their hands. Meg said that it would either be very successful or it could go very very wrong. She said that they could all be perceived as horrible human beings. Vanessa came up with a new idea, suggesting that they all decide who they want to vote for on their own, don’t tell anyone and then just cast their vote. Meg liked that idea. Meg added that having Steve play rock, paper, scissors would cause his brain to blow up and it wouldn’t be pretty. She did not want the game to be ruined for him for the rest of his life. Vanessa mentioned the idea of getting one of them to agree to throw HoH and be a pawn again. She said that if they agreed and then won HoH, they would get one of them out but would be screwed after that. She felt that Steve is feeling more comfortable and would not agree, though John would do it.

1:00-2:00 PM: Austin headed up to the HoH room and woke Liz up. Liz said that she is thinking that Steve should go. Austin said that they were downstairs talking about making them play rock, paper, scissors or having everyone just randomly vote. Liz said that that’s stupid, since they will then not honour any deals that are made. Austin said that it’s in James and Meg’s best interest to do that, not theirs. Austin mentioned making a “Rock Stars” deal with John, then Vanessa can flip and vote him out along with James and Meg. Austin said that if John returns he would then nominate James or Meg with Vanessa and they could keep Vanessa. Austin told Liz about the idea to have John and Steve play rock, paper, scissors five times, once for each person’s vote. Liz replied with “Austin, please”. Austin said that he doesn’t have a vote and the twins don’t have to be on board with it. Austin told her that he doesn’t think that it is in their best interest to break their deal with Steve. Liz said Steve stays then. Austin still wanted to do something with John in case he returns.

2:00-3:00 PM: Meg told James that they cannot do rock, paper, scissors. She said that it is a bad idea and it is not fair. James said that he would love it. Meg said that something about it is not right feeling for her. She brought up that they may all cast their votes secretly and not tell anyone who they are voting for. James responded to that by saying “Ohhhh! Cool!”. She told James that they could all look like really horrible people if they did the rock, paper, scissors plan. James said that it could look like they are a bunch of bullies. Meg agreed. Meg asked James if he would not feel bad for the kid whose dream was to be on Big Brother and then gets sent home because of a game of rock, paper, scissors. James told her that Skittles were used last season. Meg felt that that was a totally different situation, because the Skittles determined a pawn and didn’t decide who would be evicted.

3:00-4:00 PM: Austin told Liz that he has a feeling that John is going to come right back into the house. Liz figured that Steve would get way more flustered if he happens to be in the competition to return. Austin wanted to set up a plan so that John would not target him if he returns. He suggested that himself and the twins can make a deal with John and let him know that they want to keep him. At the last second, he wanted to say that Vanessa flipped along with James and Meg, so they had to vote with them since they did not have the numbers. John would then be evicted by a unanimous vote. Austin figure that John would then see that Vanessa, James and Meg were the ones that flipped, so he would nominate James and Vanessa, giving them total control over the votes. Liz did not think that Vanessa would be on board with that plan. Austin thought that she may be, due to the fact that they would control the votes in that scenario.

Meg and Vanessa discussed the vote. Meg said that all that she is thinking is that Steve will be harder to get out later in the game. Vanessa agreed and also said that Steve would be less likely to get upset by the move and less likely to be a resentful jury member. Meg pointed out that both John and Steve have been on the block a lot but John is the one that ends up there on eviction night. She suggested that Steve finds ways to fight his way off of the block, so it may be best to take the shot at him while they have him up there. Vanessa said that she is fine with it. Meg asked if anyone has strong feelings about it. Vanessa explained that she had the strongest opinion, due to what Steve did to her. She said that he tried to look like the hero when he was the one setting something up against her. Meg said that Steve has the ability to be fake more so than anyone in the house. Austin told Vanessa about wanting to set something up so that John thinks that something happened last minute that was not their fault. Vanessa was concerned that Steve is still mad and is hiding it. She said that she wants to believe him but he was so fake with her. Austin said that he would talk to Steve. Vanessa also pointed out that it will be harder to get Steve out next. Austin said not if Becky or Shelli return and join John’s side. Vanessa was worried that Steve would switch sides, while Austin and Liz were worried about John. Austin said that Steve has so much information that they are screwed if he leaves and returns but not if John does. Vanessa agreed.

5:00-6:00 PM: John told Vanessa that she doesn’t think that the twins have talked to James and Meg about their votes yet. Vanessa said that nobody has any idea how they are voting. John said that the twins phrased it as though they would vote with Vanessa, so she has pull. John told her that the twins claimed that they would let him know by tonight. If not, John said that he will have to flip Meg and James. John asked if she is still comfortable voting Steve out if the twins wont cause he wanted to know if it was worth talking to James and Meg. Vanessa said that she doesn’t want to vote against the twins but she will do what is best for her game. She said that if there is a politically acceptable way to do it, she will. John told Vanessa to take the angle of making the twins feel like they are smart, strategic players if they make this move, because they seemed to like that. Vanessa said that James and Meg seem to want Steve out. John said that he imagines that they would. He mentioned that all that he has to say is that he has three people that he would go after that are not them, as well as Vanessa. Vanessa thought that he could get those two pretty easily if he needs to go that route. Austin and Liz discussed that they want John to go. Liz said that John ratted them out and it showed what he is willing to do when his back is against the wall. Austin said that Steve did not rat them out but could if they voted him out and he returned. Liz’s concern is that Vanessa wants to keep John over Steve. She suggested that they just tell Vanessa that Steve is coming after them before he is coming after her.

6:00-7:00 PM: Austin told the twins that his gut is telling him to keep Steve. Liz said that hers is as well. Julia said that she slept on it and believes that John needs to go. Austin told them that even if it was a good strategic move to evict Steve, he does not want to do that to Steve. Austin was now focused on finding a way to get John to go after Vanessa and the other side, since they would have the votes to save Vanessa. Vanessa then joined the conversation. Austin told her that they need to save Steve because he could come back and blow up the Scamper Squad. The twins said that their gut is telling them to keep Steve as well. Vanessa said that she is feeling the same way. They discussed what they should tell James and Meg. Vanessa said that they could use the argument that John is connected to more people in jury that could potentially come back. Austin said that they could also tell them that John is lying about going after the returning juror. Vanessa did not want John to think that this was solely her decision. The others said that it is a group decision. Vanessa thought that it may be best for James and Meg to vote against Steve, since he would then have reason to go after them. Austin wanted it to be unanimous vote, figuring that it would be best in case John comes back. He thought that everyone would then take the blame for the decision, rather than just them. Vanessa was fine with that. Vanessa said that she could tell John that she is definitely voting with the twins, so there is no point in him campaigning to James and Meg. Vanessa said that they cannot change their minds again. Austin said that they wont and that Steve is staying.

10:00-11:00 PM: Liz told Austin that John is a lost cause and he is going to come after whoever he wants, so there is no sense in creating a big scheme to try to get him on their side in case he returns. James and Meg headed upstairs to asked what Austin and the twins are thinking. Austin said that they are pretty sure that they want John out. Meg said that they were just talking about the same thing. Austin felt that John had more connections with he jury and he will say anything that he can to stay. Austin also pointed out that he is screwed if John comes back and wins HoH. Meg said that the only argument for evicting Steve is that John has been on the block a lot and has made it to Thursday on the block numerous times. As for Steve, she said that he always finds a way to get himself off of the block. Austin mentioned that nobody will go after John if he doesn’t go right now, while people are targeting Steve. He said that Steve’s movements are easier to predict as well. Liz added that it’s scary to take Steve out when he could potentially come back, so it’s best to wait until that possibility is out the window.

Down in the bedroom, Vanessa said that everyone is upstairs deciding what to do. She said that she told them to let her know what they decide, since nobody listens to her anyway. John said that he will likely be going then. Steve joined John and Vanessa, after being asked to give the people in the HoH room a few minutes to talk. John told them that Liz would come after the two of them before she would go after James and Meg, because Meg is incapable. John suggested that they don’t try to win HoH if Jackie returns. Vanessa said that it is risky for Steve but she gets his point that it would be 3 on 3 with them on the outside. John said that Jackie would be over it that Steve took her out. Vanessa then headed up to the HoH room to join in on the discussion. They all agreed that John is the one that will be going, at least at this point. They discussed not telling John just yet. Meg said that everyone may wake up and change their minds, so there is no point in telling until tomorrow. After James and Meg left, Vanessa suggested that they should tell John. Austin wanted to wait, saying that he would like to see John suffer and squirm.

11:00-12:00 AM: Vanessa told John that she doesn’t want to lie to him and he does not have the votes. She said that they will be telling him tomorrow but she respects him and wanted him to know. Vanessa said that it came down to John have more relationships with the jury member. She told John that they also think that he is a slightly better competitor. Vanessa let John know that they were considering letting it come down to a game of rock, paper, scissors. John said that he feels that it came down to them liking Steve more. Vanessa said that she was the last person to know and she will probably be out next. Vanessa told John that she really hopes that he comes back, since they could be strong together with Steve. John said that they are going to look dumb since they have the votes to make the move. He implied that they could flip the script against Austin and the twins. He mentioned that Liz would be the only competent one on that side that is playing for HoH tomorrow. Vanessa said that she expects something to happen if Liz does not win HoH, cause people are fed up. John asked Vanessa to sleep on it. He said that the two of them, James and Meg could go into the competition up against Liz tomorrow. John said that he was confident that he could get those two votes. Vanessa didn’t think so. She said that she sees it as a group of five, with her and Steve on the outside. John said that he will talk to James and Meg tomorrow. Vanessa guaranteed that James and Meg would not vote his way. Vanessa asked John if he thinks that she can trust Steve. John said that she has to and that the only difference between him and Steve is that he is ready to make a move and Steve is not. John said that it could come back to bite Vanessa.
