BB17 Day 75 - Julia is nominated in James' place
August 31, 2015
10:00-11:00 AM: James headed upstairs to talk to Vanessa. She told him that she would love to believe Meg’s offer but in Big Brother you have to wonder if it is too good to be true. James assured Vanessa that he would do what Meg said, nominating her in Vanessa’s place. Vanessa pointed out to James that he will always get thrown on the block with Meg and he will always be the one to go, so he thinks that it may not even be best for his game to do this. James admitted that it would not be good for his game but he wanted to do this for Meg on a personal level. James gave his word that he would nominate Meg instead of Vanessa. Vanessa said that she believes him but thinks that he will be in a better spot if Meg is gone, since he will be on his own and not as big of a target. Vanessa told James that even though she believes him, she played through the scenarios and she would still be the easiest one for him to target after next week. For that reason, Vanessa said that she feels as though she needs to finish the job. She told James that he will not be the same target for her as he was with Meg in the house. Vanessa said that she respects James’ game and he would likely have her vote if he is at the end. Vanessa hoped that James would keep an open mind heading into next week if he wins HoH. James asked Vanessa if she could talk to Meg, as he did not want her to be blindsided. James explained that Meg had hope after their talk last night. Vanessa said that she would.
Meg went to talk to Vanessa. Vanessa told her that she stayed up for two hours last night thinking about everything. She said that the offer that Meg made was the best thing that she could have heard. Vanessa told Meg that it was almost too good to be true. She said that she believes that they would stick to the deal for next week, though she would be back at square one the following week. Vanessa said that she does not want to blindside Meg but it will probably not be a nominee that she will like. Vanessa said that she needs to finish the job. Meg said that she will fight but she feels like there is nothing that she can say. Meg told Vanessa that there are people that want to work with Vanessa in this game and she thinks that Vanessa is making the wrong move. Meg told Vanessa that she would be her top priority if she kept her. Vanessa said that she cannot have any more blood on her hands. Meg pointed out that Vanessa is choosing to send her home rather than have two people on her side. Vanessa explained that another reason for sending Meg out is that Meg would always stay over her if they are nominated together. Meg begun crying during the talk. She spoked to James afterwards, who told her that he really tried. Meg said that it’s not his fault. Meg said that there was nothing that they could have done, which is what is upsetting her so much. Meg said that it feels like such a personal move.
11:00-12:00 PM: The veto ceremony took place. James used the Power of Veto on himself. Vanessa nominated Julia as the replacement nominee. Afterwards, Julia told Liz that she will never forgive Vanessa if she ends up leaving because of this. Vanessa spoke to Liz and said that she doesn’t think that James will even campaign much. She explained that it is better for his game to have Meg go so that he is solo and not as big of a threat. She also said that James did not do much campaigning for Meg this morning and was more or less doing it so that it looked like he tried. James told Meg that he wanted to use the PoV on her. Meg told him that it would have been crazy to do that. James explained some reasons why this was actually a game move for Vanessa, though Meg didn’t really want to hear it. James said that he would hope that she would have been explaining the same thing to him if the roles were reversed. James told her that anything could happen still and that she does not know what John and Steve will do, since they may want to break up the trio. Meg felt that they would not do it when Julia is the one on the block, since they would have the stronger two people coming after them.
12:00-1:00 PM: James told Meg that she has got his vote. Meg laughed and thanked him. James said that he cannot believe that it is coming down to three votes. Meg questioned why three feels like so many. James said that from now on it pretty much comes down to whoever hits the block and does not win the veto is done. James said that Steve is not going to vote Julia out. Meg sarcastically thanked James for saying that. James said that Julia and Steve have been hanging out a lot. In the storage room, Liz told Julia that James went to Vanessa and made it seem like he was campaigning for Meg but he did not even try to help her. Liz said that James admitted that he will be more of a target if Meg stays, so she is hurting his game and he needs to stop worry about her game. Liz felt that James would not even really campaign for Meg. Julia said that she wants to go tell James and Meg that she doesn’t want things to be awkward this week. Liz suggested that she say that she will not be campaigning against Meg, though she knows that Meg has got to do what she has got to do. Julia headed to the have-not room. Julia told Meg that she is not too happy to be on the block. Meg said that she fought to keep Julia off of the block. Meg told Julia that she has nothing against her and she knows that Vanessa is just trying to finish what she started. Julia said that she felt that it would be her or Steve but it sucks to be on the block. Julia told Meg that she had wanted John to go up. Meg said that she sold her life away in attempt to get someone else nominated but it did not work out.
Vanessa told Austin and John that James thinks that it is actually best for his game that Meg goes, because he knows that he will always end up on the block next to her and he will leave over her. She said that she does not think that James will campaign, though he may do a mock campaign. She explained that he only went through the motions this morning when he talked to her. Julia joined them and told Vanessa that she had just spoke to Meg. Vanessa said that’s good. Vanessa informed Julia that James does not want Meg to stay, cause he realizes that they will always be on the block together. Vanessa said that James at least has a fighting chance if he is nominated next to someone other than Meg. Julia asked Vanessa if she confirmed with John that he is going to vote to keep her. Vanessa said yeah, he gave his word. Liz told Julia that she has got to campaign to John on her own as well. Vanessa said that they have Steve 100% and Julia can count on her sister and on Austin, so she will be fine. Vanessa went to John and asked if he is good to vote to keep Julia. John said yeah. Vanessa told him that Julia will get nervous, so they need to keep her calm.
Liz said that she is worried about Johnny Mac’s vote, because they did not vote for him. Austin said that James and Meg didn’t either. Liz figured that they told John that they wanted to vote for him but Vanessa and the twins would not. Austin said that they have already talked to John and he is on board to keep Julia. Austin explained that John just needed to know that he would not be a Clay and would play for himself. Austin told Liz and Julia that he feels good about John now and that he had a hammock date with John and Steve last night for a couple hours. Austin assured the girls that he will be the third guy with John and Steve in order to ensure that nothing goes wrong. Austin said that John is voting Meg out 100%, though it wouldn’t even matter since Steve is not flipping. Austin figured that John now wants to work with him. They discussed that James will know that if he doesn’t win the veto he is going to be leaving next. Julia asked who the pawn would be next to James next week. Austin said that he could nominate John and Steve, backdooring James, just in case James wins the veto. Austin thought that John would understand, since he knows that James is the backdoor target. Liz felt that James needed to be nominated initially. Austin told her that next week is the last time that somebody will not be playing. Austin said that the girls can do what they want but he is backdooring James. Liz said that she would nominate him initially. Julia was concerned about the campaigning that James and Meg would do. Austin said that Steve has a very low chance of leaving next week if Meg is gone, so there would be no point in him flipping. Austin pointed out that Vanessa will be a target for James ahead of them, which is good even though they want to get to Final 4 with Vanessa. Austin figured that John would target James, unless he is really good at lying.
Meg told James that they need to explain to John and Steve that Austin, the twins and Vanessa are trying to break up duos, so they will be next unless they keep her around this week. James told Meg that Austin is worried about him pairing up with John. James said that if he does pair up with John and Meg leaves, John’s connection to Steve would mean that it would be the three of them against Austin, Liz, Julia and Vanessa. James said that Julia isn’t going to win anything. Meg asked what he is saying with that. James said that they have to sell it that John and Steve will be targeted next but they cannot do it in a way in which they will run back to the others side and ask Vanessa if she is planning on breaking them up. Meg said that it’s just logical that they would break up another pair, based on the way that they did it this week. James agreed. James said that they can talk to John while he is in the have-not room with them, but they will have to find Steve at 5 AM or something. Meg said that she wants to make it clear to John and Steve that if they go up next to Julia, they are not in control of the votes. Meg said that Austin and Liz would be two votes and in control of the numbers from here on out. Meg said that she will throw Austin under the bus a little bit. James said to let John know that the people on that side were campaigning for John to go. Meg said that she can explain that Austin will not be upset if Julia goes. James suggested that she bring up how people in jury are going to want to know what you did to change the game and this is a game changing move.
2:00-3:00 PM: John told Vanessa that they are in a good spot but he thinks that everyone will make deals with everyone by the end of the week, so he doesn’t know where they go from here. Vanessa said that she expects to be a pawn if either Liz or Julia win HoH. John figured that Austin would make a deal with everyone, including James. Vanessa asked why Austin wouldn’t win HoH and try to take James out. She then said that he could just let someone else win and do it. Vanessa asked if John has deals with the twins. John said no. Vanessa said that would probably be his play then, unless he doesn’t keep the deal with Austin. John said that he needs to piss some people off on the jury, so he needs to make some deals and break them. Vanessa said that the whole jury hates her, so she needs to make friends. John mentioned that if he or Steve win the next HoH, they will only have two of them competing during the double. Vanessa said that they would then need to take out a strong competitor next week if John or Steve win. Vanessa said that she expects that she can beat the girls at almost any competition, though she cannot beat Austin or James in a physical competition. Vanessa said that James concerns her the most personally, though John would have to do what is best for his game. She admitted that John taking James out would not make much sense. John agreed. John said that they could get Liz out, splitting up Austin and Julia. He then felt that Steve could get close to Julia, Vanessa can get close to Austin and he can get close to James. Vanessa said that she likes that idea of branching out like that. Vanessa asked what would happen if Austin won the PoV and saved Liz. John said that he would have to put up James and they could vote Julia out. Vanessa was concerned that James would align with Austin and Liz if Julia went. Vanessa pointed out that the cool thing is that the three of them are stronger competitors than Austin, Liz and Julia. John agreed as long as Julia is there. John brought up that Steve doesn’t think that they get along. Vanessa said that it’s best that he feels that way, since Steve will feel great about the three as long as he thinks that he is closer to both of them than they are to each other. John said that he is down to go to the Final 2 with Vanessa. She said ditto. John told Vanessa that he doesn’t even care if she lied to him, since this is the only thing that works. John said that Vanessa needs to make friends and he needs to make enemies, so it works out well.
5:00-6:00 PM: James told Meg that if she goes, he will have to team up with John and Steve or something like that. Meg said that he should stay close to Austin. She said that Austin and John would be good choices, since Steve cannot be trusted due to how close he is to Vanessa. Meg brought up possibly nominating Steve next to Vanessa. Meg said that she will be mad if Vanessa gets to the end. She figured that she wants to work with James. James asked how she would feel if he was at the end with Vanessa and won. Meg said that she would still be upset that Vanessa won $50,000. They discussed Austin and James going to the end together. James said that he could see them teaming up and taking everyone out. He said that he could not trust Austin if he tried to say that they should bring Liz to Final 3. Meg suggested that they not bring someone strong in mental competitions.
9:00-10:00 PM: Austin again told Liz that he would have to keep James off of the block initially, since he does not want to get on his bad side in the event that he wins the PoV. Austin said that he would nominate John and Steve. Austin hoped that that would lead to James nominating Steve next to Vanessa instead of one of them next to Vanessa, then they can evict Steve. Austin thought that James may use Julia as the pawn though. He also thought that John may do the same, nominating Julia next to James. Austin told Liz that Julia is going to be the new Meg and keep being the pawn until she starts winning stuff. As for Steve, Austin figured that he would nominate James and John, because he does not want to break up the Scamper Squad. The other option was again to use Julia as a pawn.
1:00-2:00 AM: John and Meg spoke by the hot tub. Meg said that she is fine going out this week but it feels so personal and there was nothing that she could have done about it. John asked what Vanessa said that the reasoning was. Meg mentioned that Vanessa was upset that they did not go tell her that Austin found out stuff about the week that she was trying to backdoor him and they did not tell Vanessa. Meg said that she campaigned to Vanessa and she then switched he argument to saying that she would always go home over Meg, though she mainly said that she wants to split her and James up. Meg figured that the HoH went wrong but Vanessa had to make it seem like this was the plan all along. John said that it happened to him last week. Meg asked John to look out for James and make sure that he does well. John said that he is ready to nominate Steve and Vanessa. John said that he and Steve destroyed each other’s games last week. Meg informed John that Austin and the others were trying to get John nominated next to her. Meg explained that Vanessa wanted to break them up cause they are a duo, like John and Steve are a duo. Meg asked what Steve’s deal with Austin and the twins is. John said that he thinks that they have been tight for a while, though he does not understand why Steve would stick with them. Meg agreed and said that she wants to find out what Steve’s game plan is. John pointed out that Steve would have to win at Final 3 and 4 with that trio.
2:00-3:00 AM: In the bathroom, Austin asked James how he is feeling. James said not too bad and he came to terms with things a day ago, just in case Meg does go home. He said that he is pretty sure that Julia was nominated for that reason. Austin said that this will now open James up. James said Vanessa was telling him that his target would go down on his own. Austin said that he is in a position where the numbers are down so much that he can no longer protect three people, so he has to look out for himself. Austin said that he does not want it to come to a point where he has to choose between the twins or Liz has to choose between him and her sister. James said that the time will come. Austin admitted that it will but he said that he is hoping that someone will do it for him. Austin and James told each other that they are cool with one another. James told Austin that Meg feels as though Vanessa will try to pull him in. Austin said that he could see it. James said that he either has to find someone to work with or he goes rogue. Austin again said that he would like to remain cool with James. He told him that he will not put him up. Back out by the hot tub, Meg told Steve that she does not see how people are expecting to win. Steve asked if he is one of them. Meg said yes but she also does not know his whole game. Steve said that he knows why she is saying what she is saying. Steve asked how many people she thinks do have a chance at winning. Meg said four but her gut feeling is that there are actually only two people that have a real shot, if the game is how it appears. Meg told Steve that if Vanessa wasn’t convinced that she wanted her to go home, it would have been John or Steve going on the block. Meg told Steve that it probably would have been John. She said that some people were trying to get John nominated, though she and James kept out of it.
3:00-4:00 AM: James told Meg that Austin said that Vanessa probably set things up in a way that the votes were guaranteed to send Meg out. He mentioned that he probably did that through John and Steve. James told Meg that Austin said that the does not want to be sitting next to Julia. Meg thought Austin was trying to get her to stay. James agreed. They thought that Austin was open to something due to the way that he has been talking lately. Meg told James that John said that he would nominate Steve and Vanessa, so she thinks that he would be open to voting with them.
4:00-5:00 AM: Meg told James that she doesn’t think that she will get Steve’s vote. James said that this will sound crazy but he thinks that they can get Austin to vote Julia out and then blame it on Steve. James said that Austin can put on his Judas hat and go rogue. James told Meg to hang out with Steve all week so that they will blame it on Steve. James said that the two of them would have to promise that this would never come out. James said that the only problem is that John wont vote for Meg unless he knows she has the votes, and he may out that it was Austin. James thought that they could for a group between the two of them, Austin and John in order to get John not to squeal on Austin. Meg asked what about Liz. James said that she can stay too. Meg wondered if she should lay out the plan to Austin right away. James thought that Austin would love the fact that they are going to blame it on Steve, so if he doesn’t like it then he must be working with Steve. James felt that they could all take Julia, Steve and Vanessa out, before going from there. James said that Liz and Vanessa would then target Steve for flipping the vote. James felt that there was minimal risk in the plan, as the only thing that can happen is Austin shoots it down. Meg said that it would be so good if they can make this whole week backfire. James said that he doesn’t really make deals with people in this house, so when he speaks it moves mountains. James said to sell it that it is Austin’s only way to get Julia out without getting the blood on his hands. James called the plan “Operation Trojan Horse”.
