BB17 Day 76
September 1, 2015
12:00-1:00 PM: John let Vanessa know that Meg was trying to feel him out, so he said that he is upset with everyone and he wants to go after Steve and Vanessa. John said that James and Meg were up chatting, possibly with Steve, for a couple of hours after he went to bed. John said that James and Meg will obviously try something, but he will let her know everything. Vanessa thought that it wasn’t a good move for James to try anything. John said that the next HoH is huge. He said that if he or Steve can make the move, evicting Liz, that allows them to branch off, they will be in a position to throw HoH the following week. Vanessa told John that she knows that he will make the move, as will she, though she is not so sure about Steve. Vanessa said that Steve needs to know that they are behind him 100%. Her concern was that Steve cried after sending Jackie home. Vanessa wondered if Steve would feel that it is best for his game to go after James instead. John wondered if Steve would throw HoH and let either of them or James go. Vanessa said that it would not be good for Steve to do that. John said that Steve may think that he could turn the following week, during Final 6, when one of Austin, Liz and Julia cannot play for HoH.
1:00-2:00 PM: Julia checked in with Steve to see what Meg was talking to him about last night. Steve said that Meg’s campaign hasn’t started yet and she did not ask for his vote at any point last night. Steve assured Julia that she has the votes and that there is nothing that Meg could say to him to flip his vote. Steve told Julia, as well as Austin and Liz, that they will probably see him talking to Meg some more but there no way that she will get him to change his mind about keeping Julia. Austin eventually headed up to the HoH room to talk to Vanessa. He told Vanessa that they need to grind it out and stay up late with people, putting in the hours. Austin told her that the Exterminators bonded late at night when others were sleeping. Vanessa said that John seems to really like Austin. Austin agreed and said that John told him that he wants to do what he can’t do. Vanessa felt that John wanted to create a group. Austin told Vanessa that James may also want to work with them. Austin felt that James was not saying a lot, out of fear that it will all go back to Vanessa. Austin told Vanessa that James said that he would not automatically be opposed to talk to her if he won HoH, like Vanessa had told him that she wants to do. Vanessa suspected that people wanted to work with the two of them because they are hated in jury. Vanessa suggested that John is pulling away from Steve, because he realizes that nobody can beat Steve at the end. Austin agreed that nobody would beat Steve in the Final 2.
Vanessa told Austin that if the other side wins HoH, there will be opportunities to create something strong. Austin brought up that both he and John are telling people that they fear each other. Vanessa asked Austin if he would be able to vote to keep her over Julia. Austin said that it would be worst case scenario but he would want Vanessa in the game. Austin told her that he hoped that the other votes would be enough to keep Vanessa. Vanessa said that Liz will have to realize that Julia being in the game will end up bad for her, since she will end up on the block next to her. Vanessa figured that Liz would never understand why Austin would want to keep her over Julia. Vanessa told Austin that it would be a good idea for the twins to target James if they win. She said that if James and John go up and James wins PoV, it is time to get rid of Steve. Austin said that he is wondering if he still has to take James out if he wins HoH. Vanessa said that she thinks that he has to. Austin said that he wants to put John and Steve up initially. Vanessa felt that there was no need for a backdoor. She said that Austin would have to make a deal with John and Steve that if any of them win the PoV they would have to use it on one of them. Vanessa asked if keeping Steve is better than keeping John. Austin said not if John is ready to work with them. Vanessa said that it’s ideal, cause they can beat John at the end. Austin agreed.
Vanessa said that it would be a total toss up between her and Austin at the end. Austin asked if they are the villains. Vanessa wasn’t sure but figured that the people in jury would blame them for taking them out. Vanessa wondered what Steve would do if he won. Vanessa asked if Steve going after James is best for Austin’s game. Austin said that Steve having to make that decision may not be best for his game and that it may be better for him to roll the dice and let someone else win HoH. Austin said that Steve would not want to have to nominate John or backdoor a twin, Austin or Vanessa. Austin figured that Steve would be the least likely one to target a twin over the two of them. Vanessa said that Steve is likely still going to target James. Liz made her way up to the HoH room. Austin said that it would be stupid of Steve to vote the other way, though James may be trying to work on Steve for future weeks. Liz said that the only thing that James and Meg have on them is Brass Tacks. They agreed that they will tell Steve that James and Meg approached them about it and they had no choice but to say yes. They also discussed staying up late like James and Meg do, in order to minimize the opportunities for campaigning to take place.
2:00-3:00 PM: Vanessa asked Steve what Meg talked about last night. Steve said that there was not a lot of game talk at all and that Meg said that she has not begun campaigning yet. Vanessa mentioned that they may being getting played. She asked if Steve has thought about it being in Austin’s interest to have Julia leave. Steve disagreed, though Vanessa pointed out that Liz would never take Austin over Julia. She said that James and John could vote the other way, with Austin doing it as well and pinning it on Steve. Steve said that that would be dirty. Vanessa figured that John would tell them if that plan was in the works. Steve told Vanessa that he cannot see Austin doing that either. Vanessa let Steve know that she is a bit worried about Austin being on to the two of them and John, so she is throwing comments about John out there to throw him off. Vanessa asked who Steve thought would win between John and Liz and also between Austin and Liz. Steve answered Liz for both. He said that he jury is full of recruits and they will value competition wins. Vanessa then asked if James is likely going to gun for her 100%. Steve told her that James fears Austin, Liz and Julia more, so no.
6:00-7:00 PM: Liz told Julia that she needs to stay awake very late. Julia said that’s because James and Meg sleep all day. Liz said that they cannot be left alone with sneaky Steve. Liz said that James and Meg had no relationship with Steve this whole game and that’s what they get. Julia said that they have not had a relationship with John either. Julia said that she will sit John down and ask him what he wants, just like he did with them last week. Julia was also going to say that John is not her target. Julia told Liz that she will be nominating James and John if she wins HoH next week. Liz said that Steve has no enemies in this game, so it would not make sense for him to make three enemies by voting against Julia. Vanessa joined the girls. Julia asked how John is going to vote. Vanessa said that he will vote with them, since he gave his word that he would. Vanessa pointed out that Julia could make some kind of a deal with John, depending on when she would want to target him. Julia said not until James is gone. She said that she thinks that James is the first target for everyone, though she asked if Austin wants John out first. Austin said no, as long as John is truly on the up and up. Vanessa said that he seems to be. Austin agreed.
7:00-8:00 PM: Austin asked Steve about his talk with Meg last night. Steve said that Meg didn’t talk much game and said that she is not starting to campaign yet. Austin told Steve about his talk with James. He said that James wanted him to know that he is a little excited to be alone in the game, since he is less of a target. Austin informed Steve that James told him to watch out for John and Steve, cause they are still a duo. He also said that James told him that Steve is someone that is likely to get to the end of the game. Steve asked Austin what his goal is for next week. Austin said that he wants to target James, though he does not know if he should nominate him initially. Steve mentioned that it is dangerous to use pawns and this point of the game. Austin wasn’t sure if he wanted this HoH. His concern is that the following week would be a double eviction and then he would not be able to play then. Steve told him that it’s silly to throw HoH just in case there is a double eviction.
8:00-9:00 PM: Vanessa asked Steve if James and Meg have campaigned yet. Steve said no and that Julia came outside when he was alone with those two for a few minutes, which he can’t blame her for doing. Vanessa said Julia has nothing to worry about as long as Austin, Liz and Steve stick to the plan. Vanessa told Steve that she would target James if she were in his spot next week. Steve asked how she would do it. Vanessa said that using Julia as the pawn is probably the best play again. Vanessa told Steve that he could use her if he wanted, though she would prefer that he does not. Steve said that he doesn’t want to do that. Vanessa also said that it may be time that Austin gets nominated. Steve asked Vanessa what happens the next week if he won HoH and took James out. Vanessa said that she is okay with doing what needs to be done, implying that she would break up Austin and the twins. She pointed out that Austin and the twins would go after John that week, which doesn’t leave them in the worst spot, since it would likely be Austin or Liz that had won HoH and cannot play the following week. Vanessa said that they could then win and take one of them out, leaving them in a more manageable Final 4. If John wins, Vanessa expects that one of the twins will be leaving next week. Steve said that it could be Austin as well. Should any of those three leave, Vanessa figured that the two that remain would then be targeting John and would nominate him alongside James.
9:00-10:00 PM: While James, John and Meg were outside playing pool, someone was outside the walls with a bullhorn and yelled out numerous things. They said “Vote out Julia. America wants Julia out. Austin and Vanessa have deals with everyone”. However, what James and Meg said that they heard “Austin wants Julia out”. John asked what they should do. James and Meg told him not to tell anyone. John eventually spoke to James. He said that he read the rules and they are not allowed to talk about it. James said that they plan to campaign to Austin to see if they can get him to flip. James suggested that it may not be bad for Austin’s game, since he has a bigger target when he is with a trio. John said that if Austin wants Julia out, they have to act like either he or Steve do not. John explained that he did not want Austin to get away with getting Julia out while not voting against her. He said that making it a 4-1 vote without Austin knowing that it would be 4-1 is the best option, so that Austin gets outed and has Liz and Vanessa mad at him.
10:00-11:00 PM: If the vote ends up 3-2, John figured that Austin would just blame his vote on either he or Steve. James said that they could get Steve to take the fall, having Meg hang out with him all day tomorrow in order to make it look like she got through to him. Meg said that she plans to talk to Austin tonight. She said that they could really flip the house. James pointed out that they could make it fair for everyone at that point. He suggested to John and Meg that they need to get a group together to move forward with. After talking to James and Meg, John headed up to the HoH room. He didn’t take part in any game talk up there, though both James and Meg were worried that he went up there to rat them out. Everyone but James and Meg were in the HoH room at one point, making James question if the other six all have a deal. Meg said that she doesn’t think that John would have been so open with them if that were the case. James told her that he is worried about what kind of deals John had to make with Vanessa in order to stay off of the block. Meg said that even if the rest of the house has an alliance, it just means that she would have been leaving anyway and it doesn’t matter that John told the plan. James felt that John was trying to protect Steve, since he did not want him to take the fall. They agreed that they still had to try. John eventually headed back to the have-not room. Meg and James asked what was going on upstairs. John assured them that no game talk took place. After John left, Meg told James that they have got to lay off of John until late tomorrow night now. Meg said that John may be telling the truth. James said that John is hard to read but he doesn’t see him as the type to cover for everyone. James wondered how the person yelling over the wall knows that people want Julia out. Meg said from watching the feeds. James pointed out that it would have caused so much trouble had someone like Liz been outside to hear that message.
11:00-12:00 AM: James told Meg that there may already be a plan in motion to get Julia out. Meg questioned why Vanessa would have made such enemies out of the two of them if that were the case. James said that Vanessa already fired at them and once she failed at getting him out, she couldn’t go back on it. James thought that Vanessa may be keeping John and Steve safe because she thinks that they will go after Austin and the twins. James thought that people did want Julia out but they are afraid to be caught making that move. James said that Meg still needs to talk to Austin. Meg agreed. James suggested being straight with him and asking him if there is any chance at all that he would vote Julia out. If not, James said that Meg could end it there. If he seems open to it, he told Meg to then outline the plan. James said that he will nominate Liz and Vanessa if he wins HoH, with Vanessa being the target.
12:00-1:00 AM: Julia told Liz that she is going to talk to John to try to make a deal to secure his vote. She mentioned telling him that he is not her target and that she could tell him that she will not nominate him next week. Liz said that if she makes that deal and then John keeps her, she would have to stick to the deal. Julia said that she won’t say that she will not nominate him then. Julia then spoke to John and said that he is not her target. She asked if he wants anything in exchange for his vote. John said just don’t nominate him next week. Julia said that she will not. Julia later told Liz about the deal and said that she would have to nominate a pawn, possibly Vanessa, using John as a nominee only if the veto is used. James remains her target.
3:00-4:00 AM: Meg told Austin that she would like to talk to him. She said that she knows that he is in an awkward situation, in the middle of all of this. Meg said that Austin has to realize that he will start having a huge target on his back. Austin said that he knows that he has to start thinking as an individual. Meg pointed out that it’s even hard to protect two people in this game. Austin agreed and said that it’s ridiculous that he got here with both twins. Meg told Liz that Austin sitting next to Julia would not be good for him but it would be a smart move for people to make. Austin said that he sees what she is saying. He told Meg that he did not want Julia and Meg nominated together. Austin said that he never wants to have to go against a twin, unless they are on the block together. He said that he would look bad and it would ruin things between Liz and himself.
