BB17 Day 77
September 2, 2015
11:00-12:00 PM: John joined Vanessa out in the backyard. Vanessa told John that the twins were nervous that John was in the have-not room so long with James and Meg. John said that they are campaigning. Vanessa told John that she let Liz and Julia know that John gave his word and they can relax. John said that they have nothing to worry about. He said that he will be voting Meg out unless Vanessa changes her mind. Vanessa said that she thinks it is smartest for their game. She said that keeping the huge target of a trio in the game when they are only three evictions away from the Final 4 makes sense, since people will be breaking them up before coming after them. John agreed. Vanessa said that as much as she is uneasy about James, his interests have got to be closely aligned with their. John said that he agrees, especially once Meg is gone. Vanessa pointed out that if Meg stays, Austin and the twins would rather go to the end with those two because only one of them wins competitions. Vanessa said that she hopes that John is working on James.
1:00-2:00 PM: Big Brother let the houseguests go out to the backyard for an hour to practice with an apparatus that was setup. It is possible that it will be for the second HoH competition tomorrow night.
2:00-3:00 PM: Meg told James that she briefly spoke to Austin about his vote last night. She said that he basically told her that he cannot vote against Julia, since he does not want to risk ruining their relationship outside of the house. Meg said that she didn’t go into detail about the plan once he said that. James told her that she should prepare for the worst then. Meg admitted that she feels as though she is done, though she will talk to Steve about his vote. James was worried that he told John about the plan before finding out whether or not Austin would be on board and if there was any point to it. Meg said that it should not matter much, since they didn’t say anything bad. James said that he needs to win HoH tomorrow and make some crazy deals in order to keep himself from being a target. James and Meg figured that Steve would definitely come after James next. James thought that Julia would replace Meg in the pawn role and would go up next to him. James suggested that Meg say in her speech that if people don’t want to sign over the $500,000 check to Austin and the twins, they should do the right thing with their vote. Meg did not feel comfortable with saying that.
3:00-4:00 PM: Austin told Vanessa that Meg did a little bit of campaigning to him. He said that Meg suggested that it would not be good for his game to have Julia there, cause Liz is likely to win a veto and then he would go home over Julia. Vanessa thought that Austin would have the votes in that case. Austin said that the fact that the HoH is a crapshoot only hurt Meg’s campaign even more, because her odds went up to win it. Vanessa questioned if Liz would kill Austin if he evicted Julia. Austin said that there is no way that he would do it. Vanessa told him that she is willing to talk it out and go over the scenarios if he wants to. Austin said that even if he tried to lie about his vote and blame it on someone else, Liz will find out afterwards and it would ruin their relationship. Vanessa again said that she is willing to hear him out if he wants to talk about it. Austin said that he does not want to make that move this week. Vanessa agreed that it would be scary for Austin to get rid of Julia. Austin said that it would be disastrous and it’s one less person playing for HoH for them.
Austin spoke to Vanessa about what would happen if someone nominated he and the twins. Austin figured that it would be best to keep him around, since he is the only one that would understand the move. He thought that the girls would be forever pissed, so it would be beneficial to keep him in the game in order to help influence the remaining twin. Austin was worried that even if people nominated the twins together, he would go on the block if one of them were to win the PoV. Vanessa said that she could help him get the votes in that scenario, though she thinks that people would want to break up the twins anyway. Vanessa asked if there is any way that John and Steve would flip the vote on them. Austin didn’t think so. Vanessa said that she doesn’t doubt Steve but you never know with John. Austin said that he plans to nominate John and Steve if he wins HoH, backdooring James if he doesn’t win the PoV. If James wins HoH, Austin figured that they would be able to talk to him and that he would not automatically go after Vanessa. If John wins, Austin got the feeling that he would take the shot that he cannot, going after the twins, because he wants to work with Austin.
4:00-5:00 PM: John approached Steve and quickly asked if they need to flip the vote. Steve said that he does not know. John pointed out that the HoH is going to be random. John said that if Austin, Liz or Julia win HoH, either he or Steve are going on the block next to James and they may go home. The talk then had to break up, as Liz was coming by. James and Meg went over some scenarios to decide who James should nominate if he wins HoH. Meg felt that James should focus on getting Liz, Steve and Vanessa out. James said that he also could get Austin out and nominate him next to Liz, since Austin is closer to people like John than he is. They ultimately decided that he should nominate Austin and Vanessa, using Liz as the replacement nominee if one is needed.
5:00-6:00 PM: Steve paced around the HoH room alone, pondering whether or not to flip and vote Julia out. Steve thought that he could make a Final 5 with James, John, Meg and Vanessa. He figured that James and Meg would go after Austin and Liz if it happened, so he would be safe. Steve wondered if Austin secretly wants Julia to leave this week. Steve said that he needs to protect John, cause he wants to keep John in the game for as long as humanly possible. Vanessa joined Steve in the HoH room. She asked if there is no way that the vote would flip without anyone telling them. Steve figured that it would not. He then told her that he actually wanted to talk about that. He said that he trusts Vanessa 100%, wants to go to the Final 2 with her and has put his entire game in her hands. Steve brought up that they both agree that if you ever have to win, it’s bad. He then pointed out that if they go to the Final 5 with the Scamper Squad, they have to win. Vanessa said that they have to win against anyone at that point. Steve told her that it would be the two of them against three, which his not good. Vanessa countered that by saying that Julia does not win competitions and also that Austin would want to throw it at that point because he knows that the twins have to be split up. She explained that she finally got Austin to admit today that going to the Final 3 with the twins is not his best option.
Vanessa told Steve that another concern is that they do not have a deal with James and Meg, so it is risky to leave them in the game together when there is a crapshoot HoH competition. Vanessa asked who James would target. Steve said Austin and Liz, like when he broke up Clay and Shelli. Steve said that another piece of the puzzle is that Vanessa has another person that will always be loyal to her until the end. Vanessa said that she will laugh if Steve says John. Steve said that he does believe that John would be loyal to her. Vanessa mentioned that they would then be the only threesome left in the game, though nobody would know about them. Vanessa admitted that she had thought about the vote possibly flipping and she can adapt if it does. She asked if Steve plans to get Austin’s blessing on flipping the vote. Steve said yes. Vanessa was concerned about Liz winning HoH and going after John and Steve for flipping, since Steve would leave if John wins PoV. Vanessa questioned why they wouldn’t take out one of the strong ones, Austin or Liz, rather than the weakest one in Julia. Steve said that’s why he was confused that she nominated Julia. Vanessa told him that she did it because she did not want the vote to flip. Steve said that they need John in the game. Vanessa told Steve that John is not in danger with the twins, because they are targeting James.
Steve figured that James winning HoH if they don’t flip is the same as Liz winning if they do flip, so he thought that those cancelled out. If James wins and Meg is gone, Vanessa thought that they could make Liz the target. Steve said that he is still nervous about leaving three people in the game that will never turn on each other. Vanessa agreed that there are three, since Austin is now being reasonable and realizes that it is best for him to have the twins broken up. Vanessa let Steve know that Austin made a deal with John that John would nominate the twins and not him. Vanessa then pointed out that Austin and Liz would align with James and Meg. Steve admitted that he was originally against voting Julia out for that very reason. Vanessa said that she was targeting James and Meg in part due to them being an obstacle in the way of her and Steve getting full loyalty from Austin and the twins. Vanessa also revealed that Austin, Liz, Julia, James and Meg previously worked together and had a group when they were trying to get her out a couple of weeks ago.
6:00-7:00 PM: Steve asked Vanessa what John is going to do if he wins HoH. Vanessa said that he will nominate Liz and Julia, since he got Austin’s blessing, and then they will vote Liz out. She also said that John is willing to break his deal with Austin and nominate him if Liz wins the PoV. Vanessa explained that Austin, not the twins, is the link to James and Meg, so keeping Meg is handing Austin the game. If Steve wins HoH, Vanessa discussed that he could nominate Austin or Liz next to James and then they could vote to save James. Steve figured that he would have to get a lot of blood on his hands by breaking the tie, though Vanessa thought that she could get Julia to flip and vote out Austin. However, they concluded that nominating Liz is the better option. Steve asked who Vanessa wants to get to the Final 3 with. She said someone weak like Julia. Vanessa said that she is scared to get to the Final 3 with Austin or Liz. Steve felt that they would be screwed if James wins HoH, though Vanessa thought that they could get Austin to talk him into nominating the twins. Austin joined them. Vanessa asked what would be best for his game if James won HoH. Austin said that it may be the twins going up. Vanessa said that they would owe Austin if he could make that happen, so they would keep him if he goes up as a replacement nominee. Austin acknowledged that getting to the Final 3 with the twins is not best for him. He said that he could try to lead James in the direction of nominating the twins if that is what’s best for their games.
7:00-8:00 PM: Vanessa spoke to John and said that she and Steve discussed their options with regards to the vote. She pointed out that Austin and James have had a game long relationship, so they would remain tonight even if Austin was not one of the ones to save Meg. Vanessa let John know about the deal that James and Meg offered her. She explained that it showed that James is after her and after Steve, not Austin. For those reasons, Vanessa said that her gut is telling her that it is one week too early to break up the twins. Vanessa assured John that Austin and the twins are targeting James, not him. John told Vanessa that she is correct about everything and it makes a lot of sense to vote Meg out. Vanessa said that Austin is actually willing to lobby James in order to get him to nominate the twins. Vanessa explained that if Austin thinks that he has influence over James, that means that they are tight. Vanessa agreed that they need to take a shot at Austin and the twins but she felt that right now was not the right time to do it, nor was Julia the right one to target. She said that Julia is their ideal person to bring to Final 4. Vanessa also said that it’s not cut and dry that John would be the secondary target for Austin and the twins if James won the PoV. She said that it is likely her or Steve.
8:00-9:00 PM: Steve asked John why he wants to flip. John said that James and Meg would not come after them and then they would have more chances to win HoH tomorrow. Steve asked if John thinks that James and Meg would work with them. He was not sure. Steve said that it seems really risky. John said that he just doesn’t want the two of them to be nominated next to each other like they were last week. Steve asked John if he wants to do it. John said that he is on the fence right now. Steve said that it’s too risky. John said that he agrees that there is risk involved.
9:00-10:00 PM: Vanessa spoke to the twins about the vote. Vanessa said that nobody is going to flip unless they get Austin’s blessing to vote Julia out. Vanessa said that the twins needs to make Austin realize that he better not mess around with the vote. Julia said that Austin may want her out so that he can get closer to Liz. Vanessa asked them if they thought that it’s good for Austin to get to the Final 3 with with the twins. Julia said no. Vanessa explained that that’s her concern. Liz mentioned that Austin could try to frame Steve. Vanessa said that she had the very same thought. Vanessa suggested that Liz let Austin know that there is a chance that she may pick him over Julia, in order to ease his mind so that he does not cut Julia. Julia said that there are too few people left for Austin to try to frame someone. Julia said that she trusts Steve more than she trusts Austin. Liz said that if the vote goes wrong, she will know that it was Austin. Liz realized that she would find out after the season if Austin voted the other way, which would be the end of their relationship. For that reason, she did not think that Austin would flip.
10:00-11:00 PM: Meg spoke to Steve about his vote. She said that she is 95% sure that she is leaving but she has to make her case. She said that the way that she sees the house is that there is a strong threesome and it’s the first time that any of them have touched the block on eviction night. Meg asked Steve for his vote and said that this is really a chance for them to take this opportunity to take things over a bit. Meg said that she spoke to John as well and he sees where she is coming from. Meg asked Steve to think about who really has his back in this game, since there are some obvious allegiances in the game. Steve thanked Meg for talking to him. Afterwards, Meg told James about her talk. James informed her that he caught Austin and Steve whispering. They both agreed that those two are working together in some capacity. Meg said that Steve is working was more closely with someone than they think. She thought that it may be Austin. James and Meg thought that Austin, Steve and Vanessa may have a Final 3. James asked who he should nominate now that they know this. Meg said Austin and Vanessa, then use Liz or Steve as the replacement. James felt that Austin was the brains and the house would break down once he leaves.
12:00-1:00 AM: Meg told James that she believes that her fate is sealed. She said that she will not even try to talk to Austin about his vote again. Julia approached Austin and Liz’s bed, asking Austin if it is stupid of her to ask if he is voting for her. Austin responded with “what?!”. Julia apologized and said that she is really paranoid. Austin told her not to be paranoid at all, since he has been doing everything that he can to protect the twins since Day 1. After Julia left, Austin questioned why Julia is worried. Liz said that Austin has been acting a bit weird. He explained that he needs to let people know that they can talk to him as an individual, otherwise the target on the three of them will be even bigger. Liz said that she will be heartbroken if Julia leaves. Austin assured her that she would not do that to her, because she is more important to him than the game is.
1:00-2:00 AM: John woke up and spoke to Steve. He asked if Steve wants to flip the vote. Steve said that he does not know. John pointed out that Vanessa obviously does not want them to but it is a numbers thing at this point. John said that he doesn’t know what to do either. He figured that James and Meg would keep them safe but they would not keep Vanessa safe. Steve asked if Austin and Liz would currently put them up next to each other. John said no. Steve then asked why voting to evict Julia helps them. John said because Meg could win HoH. John thought that Austin, Liz and Julia would put James up at this point. Steve wondered who James is close with other than Meg. John figured that James felt close to him but not so much to Austin. John said that he likes the threesome with Vanessa and wants to keep her around too but they have to come first. Steve asked if John is suggesting a four person deal with James and Meg. John said yeah, if they flip it. John headed back to bed. They agreed to think about it more.
Steve headed to he hammock room on his own. He said that he does not know what to do. Steve said that Austin and Liz did protect James and Meg. Steve pointed out that Austin volunteered to have Julia go up. He wondered why Austin would want to do that when he knew that she could be evicted. Steve said that he just wants to lay there and cry. He again said that he does not know what to do. Steve thought that Austin, Liz and Julia all want John out. Steve said that he does not have information. He said that he does not want to be the terrible person to evict Julia but he does not want to lose the game for keeping his word. He pointed out that winning the game is more important than keeping his word. He said that he is okay with being a terrible human being and cannot let the guilt factor influence his vote. He told himself that he has to do what is best for his game, even if it involves being a terrible person. Steve continued to play through the scenarios, though he did not reach a decision.
