BB17 Day 79 - Steve nominates Austin and Liz for eviction
September 4, 2015
10:00-11:00 AM: Steve woke Austin and Liz up to talk to them about nominations. He spoke to Austin first, telling him that he does not think that he can nominate the twins together. Steve said that it would be too much of a slap in the face. Austin asked if Steve is nominating him with one of the twins then. Steve told Austin that he has the votes. Austin asked if he is going up next to Liz. Steve nodded. Austin pointed out that he could control Liz more so than Julia if she were the one to stay. He also said that Liz would be more likely to win HoH next week. Austin asked if Vanessa is on board for him to stay. Steve again said that the votes are there. Austin asked Steve for his word that he wants him to stay. Steve said that he does want Austin to stay. Austin said that he gets it and it makes sense, so he will not hold it against Steve as long as he does have the votes to keep him. Austin asked if he has the votes that he is up next to Julia as well. Steve said yes. Austin said that it’s a game and he understands. Steve thanked him for his maturity. Austin let Steve know that he is still good with him for next week.
11:00-12:00 PM: Steve then broke the news to Liz. He told her that he can say that she is not going on the block with her sister. Liz asked if Steve is thinking about putting her up. Steve said yes. Liz said that she knows that Steve has got to do what is best for his game. Steve said that he knew that she would be really upset going up next to Julia, but that is not going to happen. Liz thanked Steve and said that is all that she can ask for. Steve then pulled John aside and let him know that he is telling Austin that he has the votes, so he wanted John to know just in case anyone asks. Steve went to Vanessa and told her the same thing. Vanessa said that she will vote whichever way Steve wants. Vanessa asked if they should reassure Austin that he has the votes. John said that he already did that. Steve told Vanessa that Austin will likely approach her on his own. Austin and Liz talked things over. Liz was crying about it. She said that they should have taken Steve out last night and kept James. Austin said that John would have won HoH and they would be in the same spot anyway. Austin told her that they did so much right to get this far, so don’t even think about what they have done wrong. Liz said that this is war. Austin explained that she cannot be making Steve feel that way, otherwise one of them is definitely going and Julia will be going on the block as the replacement nominee. Austin mentioned that Steve told him that he is not the target. Liz said that Steve did not tell her that.
Austin spoke to Vanessa about the situation. They discussed the options for the veto. Vanessa said that Austin could be safe and Julia could go if she wins the PoV and uses it on him. Austin pointed out that it would make them stronger since Liz would be there. Vanessa said that she and Austin will be nominated together if John wins HoH next week and Liz is gone. Austin wondered if they should have voted John out over James. Vanessa said that they would have been in the same spot, because Steve would not have nominated James. Vanessa then spoke to Liz. Liz was upset that Julia will go on the block even if she wins the PoV. Vanessa said that it’s not the worst thing in the world for the twins to have that happen. She explained that the twins are still in a great spot, since Liz has her and Austin if she stays, while nobody is going to want to take out Julia if she stays. Vanessa also pointed out that it would have been worse if Liz ended up on the block next to Julia. Liz agreed. Vanessa said that Liz cannot have Steve feel that she will be out for revenge, otherwise Steve will get people to vote her out over Austin. Vanessa revealed that Steve made both her and John promise to vote how he wants, but she will do what is best for her game.
In the have-not room, Liz told Julia that the plan is to nominate her and Austin together. Julia asked why. Liz said that it is the only thing that makes sense, since Steve does not want to be in the Final 5 with a trio. Liz said that Julia has to win the PoV in order to take her off and give them control of the votes. Julia said that this proves that Steve is more loyal to John. Liz said obviously and told Julia that they cannot even be mad about that. Liz said that Steve wants to split the twins up because they are two people that will look out for each other until the end no matter what. Liz said that they are lucky to have even made it this far in the game together. Julia said that it’s fishy that Steve is not nominating Vanessa, when she called him out at the veto ceremony and has won more competitions than they have. Liz said that they are three people and the move makes sense. Julia said that taking out Liz will break up her and Austin, because Liz is the link between them.
12:00-1:00 PM: Julia spoke to Steve and told him that she doesn’t want things to be awkward. She said that she is a little hurt that he is nominating her sister but she respects the game move and knows that it makes sense. Julia then spoke to Liz. Liz said that she is more mad at herself for not sending Steve out last night. Julia said that nobody could ever have imagined this happening. Liz told Julia that if she ever had to win something, she has to win tomorrow. Liz asked that Julia take Steve out for her if she is the one that leaves this week. Up in the HoH room, Vanessa told Steve that she has been trying to calm the twins down and make them realize that Steve adores them but he has to make the only game move that makes sense. Vanessa said that they can make the decision together if she wins the PoV, cause she will do whatever Steve wants. Back downstairs, Liz told Julia that Austin is not even trying to comfort her. She said that it’s every man for himself now. Julia said that it is the house versus the twins. Julia said that she doesn’t even care if she goes up if Liz wins the veto, because Liz has a better chance to win the game. Liz told Julia that she would be the one that gets further, because nobody is threatened by her. Liz said that Julia would be even less threatening on her own, so people will want to talk her to the Final 2. Liz said that getting to the Final 2 is better than nothing. Julia said that she is most disappointed in Austin, since he is talking to the others and not comforting Liz. She said that Clay would not have left Shelli if she had just found out this news.
1:00-2:00 PM: Liz told Austin that they should have got Steve out and she knew it too. Austin said that it didn’t happen and she shouldn’t drive herself crazy. Liz said that she doesn’t want a pipsqueak like him beating them. Austin told Liz that it’s not best for Vanessa’s game to have either one of them go, because she would then be the next target. He said that she may use the PoV on one of them if she wins it. Liz told Austin that Steve made her and Julia swear on their family yesterday that they would not nominate him if they won HoH, yet now he is nominating her right after. Austin told Liz that she should tell Steve that. Liz went upstairs and brought that up to Steve. Steve said that he apologizes if he did that. He said that he doesn’t remember it but he believes her and it was wrong to bring family into it. After Liz left the room, Steve said to himself that Liz is not his target, even though she thinks that she is.
3:00-4:00 PM: Austin told Vanessa that the twins are both mad, which could help him. He said that he is worried about the one scenario in which he ends up on the block next to Julia. He wondered if John would stick to his word and keep him. Vanessa said that she wants to believe the things that John says but she does not know. Vanessa told Austin to rely on Steve for that. Vanessa told Austin that they both have the same odds of not making it out of this week. Austin agreed and said that they each have one person that cannot win PoV, since she can’t have Julia win and he can’t have Liz win. Vanessa said that she is done if Julia wins the veto, since there would be no play. Austin said that there is a play, since they could force Steve to nominate John. Austin felt that he could even tell Steve that he would be his #2 if he does that. Vanessa said that there is a way to make it believable. Austin mentioned that he can have the twins find out that he was okay with them going all along. Vanessa told Austin that he could tell them beforehand and then it can work out.
5:00-6:00 PM: Feeds returned following the nomination ceremony. Steve nominated Austin and Liz for eviction. Liz was sobbing in bed, with Austin and Julia by her side. Liz said that she realizes that it is not personal but she can’t help it. She said that she would not be crying if James or John had done this, but she had a gut feeling that Steve would be the one to betray them. Julia said that it’s just a stupid game and Steve is not a bad kid. After Julia left, Austin told Liz that this all can change if Julia wins the PoV. Liz said that it is hard to depend on her. Liz said that she will be fighting for her life tomorrow. She said that she would never have done this to Steve. She called him fake and said that this means war. Austin went to Steve and told him that he is trying to calm the girls down. He said that he realizes that Steve needed to do what he did and he cannot fault him for it. Austin told Steve that he will have his vote next week and he will get the remaining twin to vote for him as well, should he happen to end up on the block. They shook on it. Austin then went to John and told him the same thing, that he would vote for John if he ends up in a situation where he needs a vote next week. He said that he will have some influence over Liz if she is there as well.
Steve talked to himself in the HoH room. He said that Austin is done if Liz wins the PoV, cause they are not getting rid of Julia. Steve pointed out that Austin is scared and doesn’t trust him, otherwise he would not be offering him all of this. Steve said that he does not believe a word that is coming out of Austin’s mouth. Steve headed down to talk to Vanessa. She told him that they could make a deal with Julia to have her throw the PoV, saying that they will keep Liz if so. She felt that Julia would accept, since there is only one outcome that results in the twins both staying otherwise. If Austin wins the PoV, Vanessa said that they would have to agree to keep Liz if the deal is made, because she is stronger. Steve said that he does not like the idea and they should just try to win the PoV. Vanessa said that they could even make the deal after the veto competition if Julia wins. Steve told her that Julia would have no reason to make it at that point, since she could just use the veto and save her sister that way.
6:00-7:00 PM: Steve spoke to himself again, saying that tomorrow is absolutely huge. He said that he is fine with Austin or Liz winning but Julia cannot. He believes that she is by far the weakest competitor and he cannot fathom Julia winning. Steve wondered if he made the right move or if he should have nominated the twins instead. He said that if the twins were up and Austin used the PoV on Liz, it would have been Julia and Vanessa that ended up on the block together. Steve mentioned that he is concerned that John is some kind of twist and he is throwing HoHs because of it, since John is good in competitions but never wins. Vanessa spoke to Liz. She told Liz that Steve feels terrible about having to make the move, since he likes Austin and the twins. Vanessa explained that Steve is a lifelong fan of the game and will do the game moves that are necessary, though he did it with class. Vanessa said that there may be a deal to make to ensure that the three girls get through this week. Vanessa said that she needs to think about it. Vanessa asked if Steve told Austin that she is the target. Liz said that she knows that she is the target, since Steve wants to break up the twins and knows that she is the glue holding Austin and Julia together. Vanessa told Liz that she has her back more than she knows. Vanessa told Liz that she has to fight hard for that veto. She pointed out that Liz wouldn’t even necessarily have to use it, since she has her vote and Julia’s vote. She said that Austin’s worst case scenario is Liz winning the PoV. Vanessa told Liz and Julia that if Julia wins the PoV, it is worst case scenario for her but she hopes that they can have a conversation because she is better for their games than Austin is. Liz said that she wants a woman to win so bad.
