BB17 Day 8 - James remains HoH and has a backdoor plan in place

June 25, 2015

9:00-10:00 PM: The live feeds launched. Austin and Jace chatted and filled the live feeders in on the action. They told us that Jason has been dethroned and that James remains as the HoH for the week. Jackie and Steve are nominated, though Austin and Jace would like to see a bigger target backdoored. Jason's nominees were Becky and John. Austin and Jace discussed targeting Jeff as a potential option, given that they got bad vibes from him and that he is untrustworthy. Austin felt that their best move is to roll with James and Audrey for the time being, seeing as those two are likely to want their help getting further. Jace believes that James would backdoor the two of them in a second if he got the chance. While he wants the opportunity to backdoor someone this week, Jace feels that he could be at risk. Austin disagreed and thought that James would stick with them. They agreed that they need to solidify an alliance with Clay, given that he already thinks that there is an unspoken alliance between the three of them. The guys called Liz their “Janelle”, adding that she is the only one that gets their humour. Liz is the one person that they felt comfortable with winning HoH next week.

Jackie and Shelli then chatted in the lounge area. Jackie said that Steve is the one person that cannot win the veto this week, as everyone else that is playing would use it on her. In addition to the HoH and the nominees, Becky, Jason and John are playing in the veto competition. Shelli questioned why Steve winning would be a bad option. Jackie said that Jace would then go up next to her and she would be concerned that he could flip the vote. James then joined the girls, at which point they asked him if the plan is still in place. James confirmed that it is and that Jace will go unless people go against him and vote to keep Jace. James noted that Jace feels as though he is working with him so it will be a slap in the face and he is going to flip. That being said, James felt that it was the best move in order to level the playing field for the others. He explained that Jace is physically strong and also has Austin on his side. James told the girls that any alliance that Jace is trying to form will crumble once he leaves. James revealed that Austin and Jace had been talking about potentially targeting Jeff. He also said that Austin discussed targeting Steve, while Jace discussed targeting Becky.

10:00-11:00 PM: Audrey, Clay and Meg chatted in the HoH room. Clay said that he is worried about Becky. Meg said that Becky is a target for everyone and she will likely go in the next couple of weeks. All three agreed that they would feel better about Jason if Da’Vonne was out of the picture. Meg said that she loves Jason but he will fight until the end for Da’Vonne. Audrey said that Da’Vonne’s blood cannot get on their hands if they are going to work with Jason in the future. Clay felt that Jason is someone that cannot stick around too long, given that everyone likes him and could be influenced by him. They discussed the plan to backdoor Jace this week. Audrey felt that Jace would not see it coming, while Clay thought that Jace believes that there is a backdoor plan but he does not know who the target is. Meg thought that Jace has been starting to annoy everyone. Clay said that Jace is really starting to isolate himself, adding that Austin, Jace and Liz seem to have something going on.

They wondered if there is something going on between Liz and Becky, though Meg pointed out that Becky is nasty to Jace and that may have ended any potential connection between Liz and Becky. Meg and Clay agreed that Becky and Liz winning HoH next week would not be good news for them. Clay was also concerned about Jason winning. He thought that it would be possible that Jason would sell him out to Becky, saying that Clay is the reason that Jason put Becky up on the block. Audrey assured Clay that he will be fine and then said that she thinks that Liz is way smarter than people give her credit for. Audrey pointed out that Vanessa makes everyone feel good but nobody really knows where her head is at. Meg agreed and said that she has heard Vanessa having the same conversation with multiple people.

When the feeds launched, the houseguests took turns giving shoutouts to their loved ones back home. Vanessa begun crying afterwards, seeing as she missed her girlfriend. After being in the diary room for a while, Vanessa again broke down. Vanessa cried to John, telling him that she doesn’t think that she is cut out for the game. Vanessa explained that she feels as though it is so isolating and she doesn’t like feeling this way. Vanessa said that she cannot take seeing people being mean to each other and excluding each other. In particular, she was upset about the way that people treat Steve. A number of the other houseguests then joined John and Vanessa in the bathroom, trying to comfort Vanessa. She said that she is unsure of whether or not any amount of money is feeling this sad over. Da’Vonne asked Vanessa if she is thinking of leaving. Vanessa ultimately said that she is not but she is sad.

11:00-12:00 AM: Austin and Jace met up in the have-not room. Austin said that he is already sick of the whole group and does not even want to hang out with them. They both agreed that Liz is the one that they enjoy hanging out with. Jace said that he wants the veto to get played so that he can hopefully be off of the block. Jace figured that Becky would use the veto if she were to win it, because James wants to backdoor someone. Jace asked Austin to promise him that he will gun for James if he ended up backdooring him this week. Austin said that of course he would, adding that James would lose him and Liz if he went against the six person alliance in the first week of the game.

12:00-1:00 AM: Audrey, Jackie and Jason had a brief chat in the HoH room. Jason said that Jace was feeling good about things until he was picked to play in the veto competition. Jason explained that Jace has been targeting him up tot his point. They felt that they are in a good position to get rid of Jace this week no matter who wins the veto. Jackie mentioned that she would prefer to have the veto used on her, though Jason assured her that she would have the votes even if she were to remain on the block against Jace. Jason felt that his relationship with Austin is solid enough that he could survive next week if Austin were to win HoH, so long that Jace is the one to go this week.

1:00-2:00 AM: Audrey and Da’Vonne agreed that they have no clue where Vanessa’s head is at in this point in the game. Da’Vonne questioned how far they should take Clay and Shelli. Audrey suggested that it would be best to get Clay out first, since Shelli is beatable. Audrey noted that Shelli has a weak social game. The girls then went to the HoH room. James informed them, Meg and Jason that he saw Steve speaking to Jace, which led to James thinking that Steve is up to something. They wondered if Steve could be tipping Jace off that he is the target. James revealed that Jace had tried to create an alliance with him, Audrey and Austin, also planning to bring Clay and Liz in to that alliance. They discussed that there is a divide between Jeff and Austin and Jace, ever since Austin and Jace made it apparent that they do not trust Jeff. Audrey told the group that Jeff has said that he will likely target Austin next week if he were to win HoH.

Austin informed Jace that Jason seems to know that something is up, as he mentioned that it’s a good thing that he was chosen for the veto competition. They figured that Audrey told Jason that he is the target this week. Jace was upset about that and said that he no longer wants to work with Audrey, calling it a catty move on her part. Austin reminded Jace that they don’t even know for sure that Audrey said anything. Austin felt that they should go solidify something with James in order to ensure that the plan to target Jason goes through. Austin thinks that he alliance will still work, though Jace wasn’t so sure that there even was an alliance at this point. Austin said that Liz is the only one that they can trust, but he said that John could be trustworthy as well.

2:00-3:00 AM: Jace told Austin and Liz that Audrey is messing with everyone’s games and thinks that she is the mole. Jace suggested that they plant a story when only Audrey is in the room, seeing if it then gets out and spreads throughout the house. Austin mentioned that they could say that Clay is in the NFL and doesn’t want people to know that he is making a lot of money. Jace was also concerned that Audrey may be able to get by due to her story. While Jace said that he is proud of Audrey and her story, he said that they cannot let it be the case that she gets by just because of it. Austin and Jace also discussed the possibility of Audrey being America’s Player due to her story. Austin felt that they should talk to James about it, since James seems to still want a guys alliance. They told Liz that James has thrown her name out there as the only girl that he trusts. Austin and Jace told Liz that they need to make an alliance of their own. They agreed that Clay and Vanessa can be brought in. They explored the idea of having Liz pull Becky in, while John might be another person worthy of being a fringe member in the alliance. Jace, feeling that his game may be in danger, decided that he needs to work on Becky tomorrow in order to prevent her from using the veto if she were to win it. The three solidified their “Tres Amigos” alliance before breaking up their talk.

3:00-4:00 AM: Jace went to James and told him that he thinks that there is a mole. He added that he thinks that someone told Jason about the plan to backdoor him. James said that the only person that was in there with them was Audrey. Jace told James that he truly believes that Audrey may have given away the information, which will put a target on their backs for next week. James admitted that Audrey is talking to a lot of people. Jace then explained his plan to plant a story with Audrey in order to find out if she is a rat. He suggested that Audrey is not someone that they can trust to be in an alliance with them. James was on board with the plan to plant a story in order to see if Audrey leaks it afterwards. He thought that it would be best to do it as soon as possible since the veto competition is coming up. Afterwards, James told Da’Vonne and Jason that Jace is up to his old tricks and is saying that Audrey is the mole in their alliance and plans to plant something with Audrey in order to see if it gets back to him. Da’Vonne suggested that James not tell Audrey that, as she wants them to be able to see if Audrey keeps the information from him.
