BB17 Day 82 - Steve nominates Julia as the replacement nominee
September 7, 2015
12:00-1:00 PM: The veto ceremony took place. Austin used the Power of Veto on himself. Steve nominated Julia as the replacement nominee, meaning that either Liz or Julia will be evicted on Thursday. Vanessa told Steve that he looked like it made him sick to make that move. Steve said that he feels sick and as if he could throw up. He asked if his speech came across as complimenting the twins. Vanessa said that it did. He said that the Nolans were definitely the more successful twins, relative to Adria and Natalie in Big Brother 5. Vanessa told Liz that she looks up to her because of how she handles this game with such poise and class. Vanessa told Liz that the twins are so lovable and America will be in tears when they watch this episode. She said that she would be utterly shocked if America is not in love with the twins. Liz thought that she would be hated. Steve told Liz that America will hate him now, not Liz. Steve asked Liz if his speech came across as kind. She said that it made her cry and both of Steve’s speeches have been tearjerkers.
1:00-2:00 PM: Steve talked to himself up in the HoH room. He said that he does not trust Vanessa. Steve mentioned that Johnny Mac may be a twist but he trusts John more than he trusts Vanessa. Steve then said that he is going to go back downstairs because he does not trust Vanessa. He was watching her talk to the twins on the spy screen. Liz and Julia chatted outside by the pool. Julia said that she could not stop crying in the diary room. Julia said that she expected this to happen but the reality of it actually happening finally hit her. She said that she does not blame Steve and they should be happy and proud of themselves for making it this far. Julia said that she was talking about being willing to sacrifice her own game to let Liz stay, since she has played since a strong game. Liz said that she has made her decision. Liz told Julia that her decision is to go. The twins begun crying. Julia told Liz that it is not her decision. Liz told Julia that she has already sacrificed so much for her, such as her own identity. Liz told Julia that it is her time to shine and that’s what she wants. Liz told Julia that she has got this. Julia told Liz that she loves her so much. Julia said that she can’t imagine being there without Liz. Liz told her not to worry. She said that she will have an epic speech when she leaves and she may win fan favourite. Liz told Julia that she has to take someone out for her.
7:00-8:00 PM: Vanessa told John that Austin and Julia have got to know that they are still going to be a big target even if Liz is gone. Vanessa said that even though it is no longer the couple, it’s her sister and they will stay loyal. John asked if they are keeping it simple and voting to evict Liz. Vanessa thought that it was best, since they give themselves a better shot to win HoH. She said that their chances of winning go from 66% to 50% if they keep Liz. Vanessa also said that Liz is someone that can win the game, so it is best to take someone like that out while they have the chance. Vanessa said that Austin and Steve would be favourites to win the game once Liz is gone. John said that he could see that. She brought up that they would need a blood oath that they would take each other over Julia if they kept her around until the Final 3. John said that he would be on board for that. As for the upcoming HoH, John said that if it’s a physical one it may be best for him to win it and then Vanessa can compete the following week.
8:00-9:00 PM: Steve and Vanessa discussed that Austin, the twins and John have a lot of fans in jury. Steve told Vanessa that going up against him would give her her best shot at winning. Vanessa said that she is not stupid and she has already done the math as well. Vanessa told Steve that it’s going to be really ugly if she wins HoH, cause she is going to get so much blood on her hands. She said that she would have to nominate Austin and Julia, because their loyalty would have to be to each other because of Liz. Vanessa said that it is not logically smart for her to keep that in the game. Steve agreed. Vanessa told Steve that he had better win the Final 4 PoV if she is going to get the blood on her hands. Steve said that he got the blood on his hands this week. Vanessa told Steve that she expects him to win the Final 4 PoV and he had better take her. She said that she will repay him by being the loyal trooper that she always has been, then they will go to the Final 2. Vanessa asked if it would be smart of them to take John to the Final 3. Steve said that he does not know. Vanessa mentioned that they would need a blood oath that they would take each other to the Final 2 if they brought someone like Julia to Final 3 in order to give themselves a better shot to win that HoH.
9:00-10:00 PM: Liz and Julia chatted on the hammock. Liz told Julia about her talk with Austin last night in which they got in a bit of a fight and she walked off on him. Liz said that she told Austin that she is getting the feeling that he does not even want her to stay, cause she is more of a threat and they will always go on the block together. Liz told Julia that she brought up that Austin has a Final 2 with Vanessa, to see what he would say. She said that Austin’s response was that everyone does and everyone is trying to secure themselves. They agreed that that pretty much confirms that he does. Liz said that it’s stupid because Vanessa would beat Austin at the end. Vanessa then made her way outside. Julia asked if Steve has told Vanessa which way he wants her to vote. Vanessa said no. Julia figured that the target is Liz, since Austin was calm when he found out that he would be going on the block. Julia wondered if Austin would even target Steve. Liz said that she made him promise that he would. Julia said that it would be dumb not to target Steve, because they need to get to the Final 4 with John and not Steve. Julia felt that Steve is the bigger threat to win the game. The twins said that they would target Steve. Vanessa said that both John and Steve would have to be nominated together. Julia said that she thinks that everyone is planning to do that.
Austin, Liz and Julia discussed which twin should stay. Austin said that the girls need to decide what they want to do and he will support them either way. Austin told Julia that he has let Liz know that he does not think that she should give up, because she has done so well in the game and can win it. Austin pointed out that they are in a bad spot no matter what unless they win HoH. Liz felt that she would be a big target but they said that Vanessa should be just as big of one, since she has won a lot too. Liz was worried that people would not take her to the Final 2. Austin argued that John and Steve would take each other over either twin, so it doesn’t matter. Julia told Liz that she wants her to stay. Julia said that she has not won one HoH and there are only two weeks left. She told Liz that they should not be playing for second place when Liz has won three HoHs. Liz said that she has already made up her mind to go. Austin said that Liz staying is best for the twins and he is saying it because he loves Liz, not because it’s best for his game. Austin told Liz that this has been her season and as a fan, he would be upset to see her walk out. Julia said that her only argument for staying is that Austin and Liz will always get nominated. Austin countered that by saying that John will nominate either twin alongside him if John has a deal with Vanessa like they suspect. Julia feared that those two and Steve have a Final 3 deal. Austin said that it would make sense.
Liz told Julia that she could start dominating, so she needs to stop doubting herself. Julia said that she is not doubting herself and it is simply the facts, since Liz has won three HoHs. Austin told Liz that he does not want her to leave but he will protect Julia for as long as he can if she does decide to go. Liz told Julia that she wants her to know that no amount of money could ever come between her love for her. Austin said that it’s a game and Julia knows that. Liz said that it’s important to them. Austin figured that worst case scenario would be that Liz wins the $25,000 America’s Favorite prize. Julia asked Liz to stop saying that she is leaving, since they still have a big decision to make. Both girls said that they are leaning towards having the other one stay. While they chatted, Steve and Vanessa spoke inside. Vanessa asked if Steve has a preference which girl stays. He said that he doesn’t know. Vanessa argued that keeping Julia makes more sense logically since she is less likely to win competitions. However, Vanessa was worried that leaving Julia in could lead to people wanting to bring her to the end. If everyone sticks to their word, Vanessa said that it would be silly and risky to keep Liz. Vanessa said that Austin is going to defend Liz’s honour and try to get Julia to the finals if she stays. Vanessa also felt that Julia would be stupid to take anyone but Austin, since Liz would get to spend the money if Austin won. Vanessa said that they will need to get broken up.
10:00-11:00 PM: Julia told Liz that Vanessa has a Final 2 deal with John and Steve. Liz said that she is trying to be the Derrick and she cannot be trusted. Julia said that she thought that she could trust Vanessa more than Austin. Liz said no, cause love is involved with Austin and he would never backstab them. Julia told Liz that if John, Steve and Vanessa do have a Final 3 deal, they will always nominate Austin and a twins so they should just keep Liz around.
1:00-2:00 AM: Steve asked Austin how the twins are doing. Austin said that they got crying out of the way earlier today and now they are doing fairly well. Steve asked Austin if he still plans to vote whichever way they tell him to vote. Austin said yeah. Steve then asked if they have decided which way that is yet. Austin told him that they have not. He explained that he does not want to influence their decision and he only gives an objective opinion if they ask for his thoughts. Steve wanted to know what Austin thought about it all. Austin said that he tells them that there are arguments to be made for both sides.
2:00-3:00 AM: Steve spoke to himself out on the hammock. He said that he could be three comps away from winning the game. Steve said that he really trusts John if he were to win HoH. Steve thought that Austin would come after he and John. Steve figured that Austin would only be completely loyal to the remaining twin. Steve said that he does not want to be in the Final 3 with both Julia and Vanessa. He thinks that Vanessa would nominate John and the twin next week, in order to get either Austin or himself all to herself. Steve said that he needs to get Austin on the same page as him about Vanessa, ensuring that Austin is skeptical about her. Steve was worried about ending up on the block next to Vanessa next week, so he wanted to put a wedge between Austin and Vanessa. Steve pointed out that Austin is to Vanessa as John is to him. His goal for tomorrow is to continue to reassure Vanessa and to get drive the wedge between Austin and Vanessa.
