BB17 Day 83
September 8, 2015
1:00-2:00 PM: Vanessa asked if Austin has tried to tell John which twin he wants to stay. John said no. Vanessa said that he hasn’t talked to her either. John said that they can do whatever they want. Vanessa said that she gave her word that she would vote which way Steve wants, though if Steve doesn’t care then it’s different. She said that Steve should want to minimize the odds that one of them comes for revenge, so he should want Liz out. John agreed. Vanessa asked if John is okay with nominating Steve as his replacement nominee next week. John said yeah. She asked if John would trust her to vote which way he wanted. John again said yeah. Vanessa assured him that she would. She said that they can explain to Steve that they made a deal not to backdoor each other, since they were the two playing in the HoH competition. She said that they could then vote to keep Steve. Vanessa said that there is incentive to keep Steve over Julia, because nobody will want to let Julia get to Final 4 because others will then take her further. Vanessa felt that they should keep Julia over Liz in order to maximize their odds of winning HoH on Thursday. Vanessa asked Steve what he would want to happen if Austin and Julia remained nominated next week. John said probably keep Julia. Vanessa said that it may be dangerous to leave her in, because it gives people the opportunity to take her over them. Vanessa said that Steve is more tight with Austin than Julia, but he is close with both. Vanessa suggested that Steve’s incentive to take them over Austin is that Austin has jury votes from both twins and James.
Liz and Julia observed John and Vanessa talking. Liz said that Vanessa is up to something. Julia said that Vanessa probably wants to bring John to Final 2 and is telling him that he will lose if he takes Steve, while he would beat her cause everyone hates her. Liz said that Vanessa is definitely going to throw the next HoH, because she is good with everyone. Liz went to Austin and told him that Vanessa is doing a good job of playing everyone. Austin said that he is worried that John may think that the only person that he could beat at the end is Vanessa. Austin then said that Vanessa will throw HoH next week if she is good with John. Austin told Liz that Vanessa will have to keep her if she wants to stay, but she is hoping that the twins decide to keep Julia. Austin said that Vanessa figures that everyone will take her to the Final 2 if Liz is gone. Austin was concerned that Julia would get manipulated by Vanessa if she stayed over Liz. Austin and Liz discussed that it is odd that Vanessa has stopped talking game with them, because she talks so much game with people that are on her side.
Austin thought that Vanessa didn’t want to win the HoH that Steve won, because she knew that this move would be made and she did not want to be the one to do it. Austin told Liz that John will be after a twin and himself regardless, so he needs her there to help him win HoH. Austin said that they could always talk to John and tell him that they are all getting played. Liz said that he is whipped by Vanessa and will run back to her. Julia joined Austin and Liz. Austin said that the others want Liz out but they are screwed because they promised to vote how the twins wanted. Julia said that Vanessa is trying to convince John that the jury hates her. Austin said that they need to tell John that the three of them would vote for Vanessa over him. Julia asked Austin if he has a Final 2 with Vanessa. He said that of course he does. Julia said that she does too. She said that Vanessa is playing everyone and has Final 2 deals with them all. Julia said that she does not trust Vanessa at all. Austin said that this is going to end up backfiring on her no matter what, because John and Steve will choose each other over her even if she makes deals with them. Julia said that Vanessa’s only chance of making it to the Final 2 is by winning the last HoH competition.
2:00-3:00 PM: Austin told the twins that everyone is afraid to talk because they fear that it will get back to Vanessa and then she will go nuts in public. Julia told Liz that she needs to stay in the game. Julia said that she is ready to go and that it is her time. She told Liz to stay and fight. Austin told Julia that it may be best for her to blow things up on her way out the door. They eventually said that Julia could pull John aside on Thursday, telling him about the Final 2 deals that Vanessa has. Julia told Austin and Liz that they need to get to the end together, because nobody would want to take Liz if not. She asked if their best case scenario would be to get to the Final 3 with John. Austin said probably but it would be tough to do with the way that Vanessa is currently positioned in the game. Julia spoke to Liz alone and told her that she wants her to stay. Julia said that Liz is a fighter and she knows that she will fight for her if she stays in the game. Julia added that it is best for Liz’s game if she goes. Julia pointed out that the others will target her and Austin even if Liz goes, so it’s best to have Liz stay. Julia said that they would be doing exactly what the others wanted if they decided that Liz is going to go this week.
Vanessa spoke to Steve about the vote. She was going over the pros and cons for each side. She said that keeping Liz would guarantee that they stay in the game past next week. Her logic was that people will target Austin and Liz before them but they may take them out over Julia if Austin wins the PoV. Vanessa was nervous that it would come down to Johnny Mac deciding to keep her or keep Julia if he wins HoH and Austin wins the PoV. Vanessa asked if John would definitely stick to the three of them. Steve said that he honestly believes that John would. Vanessa said that the only way not to worry about it would be to get John in a room with them and solidify that they are sticking to their word and bringing each other to the Final 3. Vanessa said that she would then trust John if Steve feels that he is good for his word. Vanessa wondered how things would play out next week if she won HoH. Steve said that it would be silly to throw the competition to have a one in three shot at winning the next week. Vanessa said that she will not be throwing it. Vanessa told Steve that she would use the veto on him next week if she wins it and he is on the block.
4:00-5:00 PM: Vanessa asked Austin if they girls have decided what they want to do yet. Austin said that they are leaning towards Liz staying. Austin said that he is trying to stay out of it and not influence the decision at all. Either way, Austin said that they need to win HoH or else John and Steve are going to Final 2 if John wins HoH. Austin said that his biggest things is to break John and Steve up before it gets to the point where they can get to the end. Austin said that Liz staying gives them better odds to break those two up. Austin talked about possibly making a deal with John. Vanessa said that there is no way that he and Liz are not going on the block together even if they make the deal. Vanessa said that she is ambivalent with regards to which twin stays, since both will lead to pretty similar scenarios playing out. Vanessa said that if Steve still feels the same way and doesn’t make her vote one way or the other, then she can do whatever she wants. Vanessa said that she would keep Liz but the deal is that John and Steve go up next week and they save her if the veto is won. She also said that Austin would have to throw Final 3 HoH and let her battle it out with Liz, since both of them would take him anyway. Austin said that there is no point in him even trying in that situation. Julia said that what Vanessa does this week will show who she is more loyal to. Julia told Liz that if she had won even one HoH, she could see the argument for keeping her. However, since she hasn’t, she told Liz that they are better of with her staying instead. Julia said that Vanessa is smart and she is playing both sides Liz said that the one thing that Julia needs to do for her before she goes is to blow Vanessa’s game up. Julia said that she needs to know which way Vanessa is voting because she cannot do that if she is staying. They said that one of them will go and will blow things up on the way out.
5:00-6:00 PM: Austin let Julia know that Vanessa asked him what the twins are thinking and he said that they are leaning towards keeping Liz at the moment. Austin said that Vanessa is willing to keep Liz so long as Steve does not ask her to vote the other way, since she gave her word that she would vote how Steve wanted. Austin told Julia that Steve keeps asking if they are good for next week, so he will tell Steve that they are as long as he does one thing for him and lets the girls decide which one of them stays, that way they can get Vanessa on board with keeping Liz. Vanessa spoke to John and let him know that the twins have decided that they want Liz to stay. Vanessa said that that’s bad. Liz then entered the house so they did not get to continue the conversation.
6:00-7:00 PM: Vanessa spoke to Austin and Liz about keeping Liz. She said that she would need three things in return. The first was that John and Steve would be nominated and that they would save her if one wins the veto. The second was that she would get to have the final call on which of those two, John or Steve, goes if they remain on the block. Finally, she said that both Austin and Liz would have to take her to the Final 2 if she is in the Final 3 with one but not both of them. Vanessa explained that she would need them to give their word on something meaningful that they would stick to that deal in order for her to keep Liz. Others began entering the house and they agreed to discuss it further later.
8:00-9:00 PM: Vanessa told Austin and Liz that she was thinking about the deal that she offered and the reason why she wanted to choose who goes between John and Steve is that she could see them taking John over her. However, if they give their word to take her, Vanessa said that she is fine with Steve leaving. Austin said that he just wants them broken up. Austin said that they should be the Final 3 if they win this next HoH. Vanessa said that she can talk to Steve and tell him that it’s best for his game to let the girls decide which one goes, otherwise he could lose their jury votes. Austin said that he would love to send Steve out and tell him that he messed up by not throwing this HoH to John. Austin said that John probably knows that he is safe next week as long as Steve doesn’t win PoV. Liz said that John has nothing to worry about as long as Steve doesn’t win the veto. Liz said that her target is clearly Steve. Vanessa reminded her that the deal is that John goes up next to him. Vanessa said that a reason for keeping Liz around is that she will then have a strong ally if either Austin or Liz goes. Vanessa suggested that Liz let Austin have HoH if it comes down to them, since it will make her a bigger target if she wins it. Vanessa said that she would give it to Austin as well.
9:00-10:00 PM: John told Steve that Vanessa informed him that the twins are leaning towards keeping Liz. John said that he doesn’t have any strong feelings either way. John said that he will have to nominate Austin and the remaining twin either way. Steve said that they would stick together no matter what. Steve said that there are just so many scenarios to run through. John said that he bets that Steve is thinking about how long Vanessa will stay loyal to them. Steve said “I didn’t say anything”. John then laughed and said that he knows what Steve is thinking. John said that he doesn’t know and it looks good for now but it could change with the wind. Steve told John that he will act as though John did not say that. Vanessa then spoke to John. She told him that she went through the math and thinks that it works out okay with Liz staying. She said that Austin and Liz would win HoH 50% of the time, then Steve leaves 80% of the time (as long as he doesn’t win PoV), so they are safe 90% of the time. Vanessa said that they will have to let Steve know that they are cool with keeping Liz. John agreed. John said that they can tell him that they believe that they can beat Liz in the HoH competition as well.
10:00-11:00 PM: Julia walked in on John and Vanessa talking. Vanessa informed her that they are on board with keeping Liz since that is what the girls want. Liz joined them. John and Vanessa told her that they are on board with keeping her. Liz thanked them. Liz said that they obviously know who her target is, implying that it is Steve. She added that if you take out her twin, there will be consequences. Julia and Liz headed out to the hammock. Liz told Julia that Vanessa had her and Austin make a bunch of ridiculous promises. Liz said that Vanessa really showed her hand that she is making deals with people. Julia brought up that she walked in on John and Vanessa whispering. Liz said that they are sneaky. Julia said that Vanessa is playing both sides and is guaranteed Final 3, so she cannot win HoH and be forced to choose a side. Julia asked if Liz made the promises to Vanessa. Liz said that they did promise Vanessa but she is not following through with it. Austin came outside and told the girls that Vanessa said that she will keep Liz even if Steve is against it. Julia said that it’s the least that she can do, considering she is a traitor and playing both sides. Austin also said that Steve asked him to have a hammock date with he and Johnny Mac later tonight. Austin expected that it would be something about Vanessa, since everyone is likely on to her. Julia told Austin to blow Vanessa up. Liz told Julia that she needs to do it before she leaves on Thursday. Julia agreed. Austin said that John and Steve may offer a Final 4, which would make it unnecessary to. Austin headed inside to talk to John. They agreed not to target each other next week. Austin came back outside and told the twins about it. Julia felt that it would be be best for Austin and Liz to go to the Final 3 with John. Julia said that they would win over him. Austin said that they should be able to beat Vanessa too. Julia said that she wants Steve out. Austin said that they will try. Liz said that she wants Steve out the most as well.
11:00-12:00 AM: Julia told Liz that Vanessa probably informed Steve that they want Liz to stay and now she is asking him to act mad about it so that they can vote her out. Liz said that what they want should be respected. Liz told Julia that she should talk to Steve and let him know of their decision. She said that she will do it tomorrow. Julia compared herself to the Clay, wanting her sister to stay. Liz pointed out that the deal that Vanessa made with them and the swearing that she wants them to do shows how thirsty she is to win the game. Julia said that Vanessa is going to try to get Austin or Liz out, since they agreed that they would take her to the Final 2 if one of them is gone. Liz said that she cannot wait for Vanessa’s game to get blown up. Liz wondered what they ever did to make Vanessa doubt them and feel the need to have them promise and swear on things. Julia feels that Vanessa orchestrated them being put on the block, since she spent an hour with Steve the night that he won HoH. Liz said that she is taking Steve out and there is nothing that he can say that will change her mind. She said that his only saving grace would be winning the PoV. Steve joined Liz and Julia at the hot tub. Julia said that she and Liz talked things over and have decided that they want Liz to stay. Steve asked what made them reach that decision. Liz said that it came down to competition wins and who has the best chance. Julia said that Liz deserves it, since she has only won one veto. Julia said that Liz has played a killer game and it would be selfish of her to stay over Liz. Liz told Steve that he does not have to be scared of her. Liz said that his decision was 100% strategic and everyone was foolish to let them get this far in the game. Liz told Steve that there are no hard feelings and she still loves him.
1:00-2:00 AM: Vanessa told Steve that it is so close between Julia and Liz that she is thinking that it’s best to not make any waves and to keep Liz like the twins want. Both said that they feel like they are targets for Austin and Liz. Vanessa said that Steve is probably #1 and she is #2, since they are threats to win the Final 4 PoV. Vanessa told Steve that he would have her vote if he ends up on the block next to John. She said that they would have 24 hours to convince Austin and Liz to do what they want them to do and have them target John. Vanessa said that she should be able to heavily influence Liz and also have some influence over Austin. Steve kept saying that he would prefer that John or Vanessa win HoH and they do not have to worry about it. Vanessa said that she better have Steve’s word that he will take her to Final 3 no matter what if she wins another HoH. Steve said yes. Vanessa told Steve that he is pretty much the only safe one if she wins HoH. She said that she would have to nominate Austin and Liz together. Vanessa let Steve know that she has been planting seeds about making John the target for Austin and Liz. She said that she will continue to do so. She let Steve know that their concern with him is that he is a threat to win the Final 4 PoV.
2:00-3:00 AM: Steve quickly spoke to Austin. He asked if there is anything that he can do for Austin. They then discussed that they could vote for each other if they end up on the block. Steve pointed out that he has never done anything against Austin that he has no told him about. Austin said that the same goes for him. Steve pointed out that they both used each other as pawns. As for the twins, Austin suggested that Steve reassure them that he is not going to try to sway the vote and that he will respect their decision. Steve asked if that will get him in their good graces. Austin said that it would be a start.
