BB17 Day 85 - Julia is evicted; Vanessa wins HoH

6:00-7:00 PM: The live eviction episode took place. Julia was evicted by a unanimous vote of 3-0. The HoH competition then begun. The houseguests had to be the first to transfer 10 eggs.

7:00-8:00 PM: Vanessa won HoH. Liz transferred her egg into the luxury egg holder, winning herself a trip outside of the house. Vanessa asked Austin what Steve thought that Austin would do if he was HoH. Austin said that Steve thought that he would keep him safe. Vanessa said that’s what she thought. She later revealed in other talks that what made her paranoid is that Steve seemed too comfortable, even after just having taken out a twin. Vanessa asked what Liz would have done if she had won HoH. Austin said nominate John and Steve. Austin told Vanessa to let him know whatever she wants to do. He said that he would do whatever it is that she wants. Vanessa asked Liz what Steve was under the impression that she would do if she won HoH. Liz said that he did not ask and all that Steve wanted was to have her break the tie in his favour if it came down to it.

8:00-9:00 PM: Vanessa asked Steve what he thought Austin would have done as HoH. Steve said nominate some combination of him, Vanessa and John. Vanessa asked if he has any other more specific information. Steve did not. Vanessa asked if Austin said that he would keep Steve safe. Steve said yes and that Austin told him that he was not his target. Steve then revealed his deal with Liz. Vanessa said that Austin either lied to her or is playing all sides, so he is her target. She believed that he had told her, John and Steve that the other two were going up and that each of them was safe. Vanessa then spoke to Austin and told him that there is a lot of conflicting information out there. She said that she has to go with her instincts. Vanessa asked who John thought that Austin would nominate. Austin said that he did not really let him know, but told him that they would take him to Final 4 like they had discussed. Austin said that he would have nominated John and Steve and tried to send Steve out. Vanessa said that he told Steve that he would have kept him. Austin explained that he was saying whatever he needed to say to those two. Vanessa then said that Liz gave her word that she would not vote against her if she was the replacement nominee, yet she made a deal with Steve and told him the same thing. For that reason, Vanessa said that she is upset with Liz. Vanessa asked why Austin is concerned about Steve winning the Final 4 PoV but he is not concerned about her. Austin said that he knows that Vanessa would take him, so it’s good for him if she wins. Vanessa said that she has no choice but to win that veto now that she has won 4 HoHs.

Vanessa spoke to John and told him that she got so paranoid and had to win HoH. Vanessa asked John what Austin had told him. John said that Austin claimed that he would not put him up. John told Vanessa that he made a deal with Austin after she told him to, so he said that he would put Steve and Vanessa up. John said that it wasn’t really a deal but he really implied that he would nominate Steve and Vanessa. Vanessa did not remember asking John to make a deal with Austin. She said that it is funny that Austin made deals with everyone and then he dropped a lot of eggs during the HoH competition. Vanessa said that if she wasn’t hated before, she is going to be now. Vanessa brought up that she was concerned that Austin and Liz could be gunning for her after what went down at the veto competition. Vanessa asked if John is willing to go against all of his history with Steve. John said that he is, because Steve can win and people hate Vanessa. Austin told Liz that Vanessa is mad that Liz made a deal with Steve. He advised Liz to say that she was never going to keep the deal. Liz then pulled Vanessa aside and told her that she was saying anything that she could to stay in the game, so she had to let Steve think that she would break the tie in his favour. Vanessa pointed out that she promised her the same thing. Liz assured Vanessa that she would not have voted for Steve.

Austin joined Liz and Vanessa. Vanessa asked if her name came out of John’s mouth. Austin said that it did not come out of either of their mouths, cause they did not mention any names to each. Vanessa said that John is claiming that Austin said that he would nominate her and Steve. Austin said that it’s a lie. Vanessa said that she needs to go with her gut but she doesn’t know what she will do. Vanessa figured that Austin’s incentives would lead him to nominate her next to Steve, to maximize his chances at winning the Final 4 PoV. Austin and Liz said that they would have nominated John and Steve if they had won this week. Liz said that Vanessa needs to go with her gut and remember that they have been with her since the beginning. After Liz left, Austin assured Vanessa that he will not go against her. Vanessa said that she has to look at the incentives. Austin told her to ignore that when it comes to him, because he is taking her. Austin pointed out that Steve broke up “Twinstin” and he has already sent John out, so he has no loyalties to those two. Vanessa mentioned that it may be best for her to nominate one person from each pair. She said that she is going to the Final 4 with a pair no matter what. Austin told her to go with the pair that is working with her, since he is with her. Vanessa mentioned that a concern of hers is that when she made her deal with Austin there was no showmance involved. Vanessa asked Austin if he would be willing to throw the PoV no matter who is nominated. Austin said yes.

9:00-10:00 PM: Vanessa told Austin that what is working in his favour is that she likes Austin and Liz better. She also said that she is incentivized to take Austin, which he should see, so he should want to take her. Vanessa said that it would be best for Austin to throw the Final HoH if they are in the Final 3 with Liz together. Austin said that he knows that he cannot beat Liz at the end. Austin suggested that he and Liz could make a deal to throw Part 1 of the Final HoH competition to Vanessa. Vanessa said that she needs Austin to vote the way that she wants if she keeps him off of the block. Austin agreed. She then begun discussing that the smart move would be to break up the couple. She said that it would be the dumbest move on earth to leave the couple in the game, so people in jury will think that she is stupid. Austin said that they will understand once they find out that he and Vanessa have a deal. Vanessa told Austin that he would have no need to play for PoV next week if both he and Liz are in the game. She explained that he would stay over Liz and that Liz would keep him if she won the PoV. Austin brought up that he would be willing to throw the veto competition this week. Vanessa mentioned possibly nominating John and Liz, with John being the target. Austin said that he could even try to win the veto and not use it. Vanessa eventually came around to the idea of nominating John and Steve, possibly telling John about the Scamper Squad. Vanessa told Austin that he and Liz would be the biggest scumbags if she did this for them and they did not honour the deal. Liz joined them and Vanessa informed her that she is working hard to try to make this work. She said that she does not want to go against Austin and Liz. Vanessa asked if they would be willing to take her to the Final 3 if they win the Final 4 PoV and also to throw Part 1 of the Final HoH competition to her. Both Austin and Liz agreed to the deal. Vanessa said that she wants to target John, because Austin and Liz would be stupid to take her to the Final 3 over John. Vanessa asked Austin and Liz not to tell anyone that she is thinking about making that move.

12:00-1:00 AM: Vanessa told Austin that she would love to be in the Final 2 with him. She said that she does not want to go against Austin. Vanessa said that she also does not want to go against Liz, because Liz was right about taking people like Becky and James out of the game for her. Vanessa said that the two of them deserve to be in the finals. Austin agreed and said that this has been their game. Vanessa begun explaining what the deal is in order for her to keep Austin and Liz safe. The first thing that she wanted is for both Austin and Liz to vote John out if he does not win the PoV. She then pointed out that winning the Final 4 PoV is not best for Austin’s game, because going to the Final 3 with Liz is not best for him. She said that Steve is someone that would always take Austin. Vanessa also explained that Austin could beat Steve but would lose to Liz. Austin agreed that Liz would beat him. In the Final 3, Vanessa suggested that it would be best for her to win Part 1 of the Final HoH competition, because Steve would not beat Austin in Part 2. If Liz happens to get to the Final 3 with them, Vanessa said that she trusts that Austin and Liz would throw Part 1 to her. They reassured each other that they will take each other to the end over Steve. Vanessa said that she will let Steve know that Austin’s ideal Final 3 is with the two of them, to make him feel better about things. Austin swore on his love for Liz and on his family name that he would honour what was discussed.

1:00-2:00 AM: Vanessa spoke to Liz next. Vanessa told Liz that she needs her to win the veto tomorrow, because she needs nominations to stay the same. Vanessa said that she thought things over and realizes that John and Steve need to be looked at as a couple as well, since they have their Rock Stars alliance. She said that John’s family gave it away in the video message that he will remain loyal to the Rock Stars. Vanessa explained that it then makes the most sense to stick with the couple that she has worked with all along. Liz told Vanessa that it is probably smart on her part to leave Steve in the game over John, because she is going to be gunning for Steve next week. Vanessa said that part of the deal is that Liz needs to vote the way that she wants her to, which is to evict John over Steve right now. Liz agreed and offered to go on the block as a pawn if John or Steve win the PoV. Vanessa said that she appreciated the offer and hopes that it doesn’t come down to that. Liz also agreed to take Vanessa to the Final 3 with her and Austin if she wins PoV next week. She said that she is on board with throwing part one of the final HoH competition as well. Liz said that she has no one but Vanessa if something happens to Austin. Vanessa said that she will always look out for Liz. Liz gave her word that she will honour the agreement with Vanessa.

Vanessa told Steve that she is effectively in the house with two couples, because John and Steve would take each other to the end over her as well. Vanessa suggested that John is a much more attractive option to take to the end than she is. Vanessa also figured that John would choose Steve over her out of loyalty. For those reasons, Vanessa said that her smartest play is to target John. Vanessa hinted that Steve would have to go on the block next to John, because she would not be able to expect Steve not to use the PoV on John. If John wins the PoV, Vanessa said that Steve will never be her target. She said that she does not know who she would target if that happens. Steve asked what will happen if he remains on the block with John. Vanessa said that she got Austin and Liz to give their word to vote how she wants. Vanessa told Steve that Austin realizes that it is best for him to get to the Final 3 with the two of them over Liz. Vanessa said that Austin is even willing to give his word that he will throw the Final 4 PoV. Steve asked if it comes down to her being afraid that he would be loyal to John over her. Vanessa said that he is incentivized to. Vanessa said that she has got to be more hated than Dan at this point. Steve said that that’s why he doesn’t see how it would benefit him to take John over her, cause the jury loves John and hates her.

2:00-3:00 AM: Steve asked Vanessa if she will be nominating him next to John tomorrow. Vanessa said that she cannot say for sure but that’s where her head is at right now. Steve said that Vanessa wants to split him and John up so that she can have him to herself. Vanessa said that that’s part of it but John is also her biggest competition in the first part of the final HoH competition. Steve said that he is nervous counting on votes from the people that he nominated last week. Vanessa guaranteed that they would vote to evict John. Steve said that he was not expecting this, because he did not think that she would nominate him. Vanessa asked if he would prefer to be left off of the block and have to throw the veto competition. Vanessa then thought it over and said that she cannot do that, because it would increase John’s odds of winning the veto. Vanessa told Steve that he is the only one that she has a Final 2 with and she intends to honour it. Steve brought up a concern that Austin will fight for the PoV next week if Liz is the HoH. Steve said that they would have to beat both Austin and Liz in the veto competition if that happens. Vanessa said that she could talk Liz into throwing the competition. Steve disagreed and said that they are already talking about marriage and Liz would want to be with Austin at the end. Vanessa said that they will win the veto competition next week and that’s the end of story. Vanessa said that she is only 60% sure that she is making this move.

John made his way up to the HoH room. Vanessa told him that her concern is that he and Steve have been in an alliance for a long time and Steve is going to take John to the end over her. John said that he came back in saying that he would stab anyone in the back, cause he hates them all, though he hates Vanessa the least. John said that he would be willing to take Vanessa to the end over Steve. He pointed out that while he and Vanessa were in bed talking, Steve would be out playing pot ball and making friends with the others. John told Vanessa to put him up with Steve if that is what she wants. Vanessa said that she doesn’t want to put anyone up. John said that it seems that her concern is that he could beat her in the Final 4 veto competition, though Austin and Steve are better at it than he is. If he won it and Austin was HoH, John said that Steve would have to go. Vanessa asked if John would hold it against her if Steve ended up going this week. John said no. Vanessa said that she does not know what she is going to do right now and she may nominate one person from each pair. John said that he has been saying for week that his word is not good. He said that he is ticked off at everyone and wants them out one by one. John pointed out that Steve does not know how close the two of them are, which may show where his head is at. John said that he is fine with Steve going up but he does not want to go on the block. John told Vanessa to take out whichever pair she wants.

3:00-4:00 AM: Steve asked Vanessa to go through some more scenarios, hoping to show her that keeping John there is the better option. Austin broke up the talk, so Steve headed to bed. Vanessa told Austin that Steve had a point that Austin cannot throw the PoV if Liz is HoH. Austin agreed but said that he would take Vanessa over Steve in that scenario. Vanessa let Austin know that Steve is fighting for John the same way that Austin would be fighting for Liz. Vanessa mentioned that she is a bit more open minded to considering keeping John than she originally was, because she fears that Steve could win HoH and that would prevent her from getting to the end with Austin and Liz. They agreed that Steve has a much better shot at winning a before and after HoH competition. Vanessa said that it may become a non-issue if John or Steve wins PoV and they have no choice on who to keep.
