BB17 Day 9 - Steve Wins The Power of Veto

June 26, 2015

10:00-11:00 AM: Audrey and Clay spoke in the lounge. Clay mentioned that Jace was acting really weird last night, which made him wonder if Jace could possibly get James to flip the script and backdoor someone other than Jace. They also felt that it was weird that James would choose to sleep in the have-not room last night when he is the HoH. Clay felt that they would need to find someone that they don’t care about to pin the whole plan to backdoor Jace on, in order to stay in good with Austin and Liz. Audrey then began questioning Clay. She had seen him having a conversation with Jeff yesterday and then had a dream about Clay being the devil and turning on her. Clay assured Audrey that he sees the red flags with Jeff and will not get too close with him. Audrey continually questioned Clay about being disloyal to her and to Shelli. Audrey said that she tells Clay every little detail. Clay continued to reassure Audrey that he is with her. He told her that she is being paranoid and has nothing to worry about. Afterwards, Audrey went to Shelli and told her that she could see Clay turning on her but not Shelli, so she was trying to make Clay feel bad.

11:00-12:00 PM: Clay and James met up in the storage room for a quick chat. They revealed that their original alliance that they formed consisted of the two of them, Audrey, Da’Vonne, Jason and Meg. James asked Clay if he is still cool with Da’Vonne, as there was an incident between the two before the feeds came on. Clay said that he is cool with her and has been since Day 1. Clay and James then discussed pulling in some more people to their group of six, in hope of being able to control the votes and wipe out the other side of the house. Clay said that they won’t need to trust those additional people 100%, though they need to know that they would vote with them. He said that he doesn’t care who the additional people are, but they all need to be on board with sticking together until the other side of the house is gone. James agreed, pointing out that he had settled on taking Jace out from Day 1 and he will not sway on that.

Meanwhile, Austin and Liz chatted in the have-not room. Austin said that everyone is asking him what Jace’s problem is and why he was so angry yesterday. Austin felt that it was not so much that Jace was mad but more so that he has such a big personality that people think that something is wrong if he is not as intense as usual. They discussed that it is imperative to lay low for the first couple of weeks. Austin then pointed out that he doesn’t know what Audrey is doing, as she has begun going around and talking to everybody. Austin felt that Audrey’s paranoia would make everyone else paranoid about her. Both he and Liz agreed that Audrey was in such a good position yet she is hurting her game. Liz said that she will not talk to Audrey anymore, while Austin said that he will in order to make her think that nothing is wrong.

Austin and Liz said that they do not like the plan to backdoor Jason at all, as they like him. Austin felt that Jason would be indebted to them if they were able to save him, also adding that Da’Vonne would likely be on board with them at that point. Austin said that Jeff freaks him out since he is so paranoid. They felt that getting Jeff out would be a huge move and that it would free up Jackie to come work with them. Austin thought that it would be a good idea to point that out to James and to tell him that Clay would also be freed up if Jeff were to leave. During the conversation, it was revealed that the second part of the BB Takeover was a “Fast Forward”, which allowed Da’Vonne and Vanessa to be safe for the week and to choose one other person to be safe. Da'Vonne saved Liz and Vanessa saved Austin. Those four all ended up being chosen as have-nots for the week as well.

Austin and Liz discussed that they would prefer that Steve leaves over Jackie if the nominations end up staying the same. Austin’s concern is that Steve will be dangerous to leave in the game since he will continually go up as a pawn and never go home, likening her to Victoria. Da’Vonne then entered the room. Da'Vonne agreed. There was again some talk about getting Jeff out. Da'Vonne said that she has noticed a divide in the house, so her goal is to determine who the middle person is that is being the Ronnie and passing information between the two sides. Da'Vonne said that she thinks that it is Audrey, which Austin and Liz agreed and were excited that Da’Vonne could see it as well. Da'Vonne said that she is keeping Audrey so close for that reason.

12:00-1:00 PM: Audrey broke up the talk between Austin, Da’Vonne and Liz. Audrey eventually talked to Da’Vonne alone. Da’Vonne told Audrey that Austin and Liz are very nervous about Steve and want him to go. Steve then broke up the conversation and had a quick chat with Audrey. Audrey told Steve that he has terrible timing. Audrey then informed Steve that Austin and Liz have voiced their concern about him and think that he threw the Battle of the Block. That being said, Audrey told Steve that he doesn’t have anything to worry about even if the veto gets used on Jackie. Audrey advised Steve to be careful about walking in on conversations when two people are alone. She figured that Steve is an easy target at this point because he is different.

Da’Vonne told Jason that Austin and Liz want Audrey out because she is playing everyone. Jason agreed that Audrey is playing too hard and everyone in the house can see it. Da’Vonne said that it could be the perfect opportunity to send Audrey out. Jason said that James has his blinders on and sees nobody but Jace. Da'Vonne said that Jace could go another time, because they need to get Audrey out. Jason said that he is fine with sending Audrey home but he does not think that she will win any HoHs since she feels that she is so in with everyone. Jason figured that it would make Audrey an easy person to get out next week as well. Da'Vonne said that she is fine with targeting them in either order but taking Jace out may break the trust that she is building with Austin and Liz. They ultimately agreed that they are fine with taking Audrey out first if the opportunity arises, though they know that they have the votes to make the move whenever they choose to do so.

3:00-4:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Steve won the Power of Veto. James was in the HoH room telling Da’Vonne, Jason and Meg that he is going through with the plan and will nominate Jace. While feeds were down, Audrey found out that people had been questioning her. Audrey confronted Da’Vonne, saying that she heard that Da’Vonne told Austin and Liz that she is untrustworthy. Da'Vonne denied it. James said that Jace had planned to plant something in order to test Audrey, so this may have all started with him. Audrey said that they tried to turn the wrong two people against each other. Audrey then confronted Austin and Liz, saying that she heard a rumour that the two of them think that she is a mole and untrustworthy. Da’Vonne was called into the room. Her, Austin and Liz admitted to having a talk about Audrey, though they explained that it was taken out of context. Austin said that they were all comparing the talks that they have with Audrey and noted that they are very similar. Austin asked to speak with Audrey alone, at which point he said that he made a Final 2 with her from the beginning and intends to stick to that.

Austin swore to Audrey that it was Da’Vonne that first brought up her name as the person that is playing both sides of the house. Jace was then brought in. Jace was frustrated that he is now in the middle of this, given that everyone was discussing Audrey. Jace explained that they were concerned about Audrey because they know that someone leaked to Jason that there was a plan to backdoor him. Audrey felt that the guys were only speculating and had no proof that Jason actually knew this. The later asked Jason if someone was telling him that he is the target. Jason said that he was not told that and that he was only excited to play in the veto competition in order to protect himself. Audrey brought Da’Vonne and Liz back into the room and debated calling a house meeting in order to clear things up, though things eventually settled down. Elsewhere, Shelli and Jeff discussed that they need Jackie on their side. Jeff suggested that Clay and Shelli are the people that he wants to go to the end with but they need to find at least one more person that they can trust, suggesting that Jackie would be a good option. Jeff said that he sees Austin, Da’Vonne, Jace and Liz as the big threats in the house at the moment.

4:00-5:00 PM: Jason and Da’Vonne spoke about all of the drama that has gone down since the veto competition ended. Da’Vonne figured that they would still be fine and that Jason would not go on the block. Da’Vonne was irritated with Audrey for having run to Clay and Meg to tell them everything. She said that Audrey should not be doing that unless she has some sort of side deal with them. Jason said that Meg and Da’Vonne are the only people that he trusts. Audrey and Da’Vonne spoke alone. Audrey said that it sucks that Liz would throw Da’Vonne under the bus after she saved Liz. Audrey told Da’Vonne that she trusts her since they made a deal on Day 1. Audrey asked Da’Vonne to come to her if she is worried about her. James and Jason eventually joined in on the conversation. James reiterated that his target is Jace and nothing can change his mind. Audrey wants to target Austin or Liz next week. She suggested that Liz is more dangerous since she was not backing down and would have stuck to her lies if not for Austin squealing. Audrey continually mentioned that Liz said that she did not throw a pillow at Da’Vonne but she later admitted to it. They discussed bringing Jeff and Jackie in to their alliance. The High Rollers alliance eventually formed. The alliance consists of James, Jeff, Da’Vonne, Jason, Audrey and Meg. Jackie was also discussed as someone to bring in, though she was not present at the time.

Austin wondered how his talk with Liz and Da’Vonne got out. Clay suggested that Da’Vonne may have been the one to leak it. He said that she might be trying to turn everyone on each other. Jace joined them and they all agreed that Da’Vonne is dangerous. Clay and Jace mentioned that they are candidates to be backdoored this week. Austin said that James, Da’Vonne and Audrey might have a thing going. Austin suggested that the three of them will need to approach James as the four guys in order to see where his head is at. He felt that James would not go after one of them if he realized that the others would be after him if he were to do that.

5:00-6:00 PM: Austin spoke to Liz and informed her that they had to throw Jeff under the bus in hope of keeping all of their people safe this week. Austin felt that they needed to put together a group of people, possibly nine, that they can trust to vote the way that they want. He clarified that it would not have to be an alliance. Liz asked if people trust Da’Vonne, because she wants Da’Vonne out. Austin said that people are on the same page. He mentioned that he had just finished talking to Clay and Jace about getting her out of the house. Austin told Liz that they are going to have to get the votes to keep Jace if he goes up on the block, though he didn’t foresee it being a problem. Should Jace leave, Austin felt that they would be in trouble.

7:00-8:00 PM: While the other houseguests napped, Da’Vonne and John spoke in the kitchen. They agreed that they have nothing against Jace and he has given them no reason to take him out, though they cannot go against the house at this point. That being said, Da’Vonne thought that it may be possible that Jackie will leave over Jace. She thought that the girls may vote Jackie out. They discussed that they could get on opposite sides of the house and protect each other. Da’Vonne asked John who he is worried about at this point in the game. He said that the strong guys concern him. Da’Vonne revealed that Steve worries her. She said that Steve is playing a strong game. They then discussed the other houseguests. John felt that Shelli and Meg would be two people that would nominate him. He said that he wants to trust Audrey but has not hung out with her much at this point, while he feels that he is in good with Jason. Da’Vonne said that she is close with Jason and can confirm that he really likes John.

8:00-9:00 PM: Austin and Jace decided that they should try to form an alliance with Audrey, Clay and James. They hoped to solidify a game plan for this week and next, suggesting that Jason and Da’Vonne be the first two to go. Once all five of them had gathered in the HoH room, it was Austin and Jace doing all of the talking. Nobody else showed much interest in the alliance, though they went along with it and ultimately settled on the name “Five Alive”. After Austin and Jace left, James said that it’s the stupidest name ever. Audrey thought that Clay should pull Da’Vonne aside in order to fill her in on the fake alliance that they had just created. Audrey figured that it would be a good opportunity for Clay to build some trust back with Da’Vonne. Audrey explained that there is an alliance, the High Rollers, that Clay is not involved with. She said that the reason behind that is that Da’Vonne does not trust Clay. Da’Vonne then joined the room, at which point Clay filled her in on the new alliance and how Austin, Jace and Liz want to target Da’Vonne.

10:00-11:00 PM: Da’Vonne told Audrey that clay lied to her face twice, which makes it impossible for things between them to ever fully go back to where they were. The girls then discussed the situation between the two of them. Audrey believes that Meg is doing the same thing that she is, talking to everyone, yet people don’t care about that. Da’Vonne said that Meg is not as smart as Audrey. She also pointed out that there are times when Audrey is talking to someone else and gets quiet when she happens to come around. Audrey told Da’Vonne that the paranoia is getting to her and that she should not be questioning her. Elsewhere, Clay was filling Shelli in on what happened today. He told her about the High Rollers and Five Alive alliances. Shelli mentioned that there are three new alliances every time that she talks to Audrey or Clay. Shelli was frustrated by this since she feels that Audrey and Clay don’t bother to include her even though she is only working with the two of them. Clay explained that he doesn’t want to keep getting brought into these alliances. He said that Audrey is getting herself in to too many things and is pulling him in with her.

11:00-12:00 AM: Steve asked Audrey if she has heard anything with regards to Da’Vonne being upset with him for saying nasty things about her. Earlier in the day, Da’Vonne asked Steve if there is anything that he wants to tell her. Steve didn’t understand why Da’Vonne is upset with him. Da’Vonne overheard Steve saying her name to Audrey. She entered the room and questioned why Steve is asking Audrey instead of her. Steve explained that he was concerned that she is upset with him and just wanted to know if everything was okay. Da’Vonne did not want to give any details up as to what she heard, though she told Steve that everything is fine and they don’t need to talk about it. Afterwards, Audrey filled Steve in on what went down today. She told Steve that Austin and Liz are the likely targets heading in to next week. Steve later talked to the camera and said that Audrey is good at the game and would be his pick if he had to choose a winner right now.

12:00-1:00 AM: Audrey walked in to the bathroom and saw Becky and Vanessa talking game. She then went outside and told the others about what she saw. A short while later, Da’Vonne told Audrey that she needs to be careful about what she says. She explained that Jackie ran straight to Becky after Audrey said that, which led to Becky coming outside and not leaving them alone. Audrey decided to talk game with Vanessa. The two agreed that they could go far in the game by working together. Audrey later approached Jackie to ask about it. She revealed that Da’Vonne had told her that Jackie ran to Becky. Audrey said that she will not mention Becky’s name again if Jackie thinks that she is someone that they can trust. Jackie said that it’s too soon to tell and that she did not go tell Becky anything. As for next week, Audrey suggested that Da’Vonne is someone that may need to go. She felt that Liz would break off from Austin once Jace goes. She also believed that Jason would be freed up to work with them if Da’Vonne were to go.

2:00-3:00 AM: Shelli and Clay discussed that they both trust Audrey but she is talking to everyone and could be playing both sides. Clay felt that they could still trust her since she has given them information that they could use to exploit her. Shelli agreed. Clay pointed out that Audrey is likely doing this in order to cover herself should a wildcard win the next HoH. He figured that Audrey could then use her influence to help them in that scenario. The two then spoke to Audrey herself. Clay was concerned that Audrey was swaying from wanting Da’Vonne out next. Audrey said that she doesn’t want to be the one to do it but she is okay with someone else making the move. Audrey said that Da’Vonne is like a jealous girlfriend, always looking for reassurance and validation.

3:00-4:00 AM: Clay, Jeff and Meg met up in the have-not room. Meg said that everyone is starting to work with everyone right now. She told Clay that they have his back and don’t want him to be hearing things, as they want to be working with him later in the game. Jeff told Clay that he will go to bat for him no matter what, even though people have approached him to work with them and he had to play strategically. Clay was concerned that Da’Vonne would try to turn people against him. Jeff and Meg assured him that he has enough people in his corner to prevent that from happening. Clay told Meg that the people that he feels 100% safe with is her, Jeff, Shelli and Audrey, so those are the people that he would like to form a real alliance with. Meg said that she hasn’t got to talk to Shelli enough to really know her yet, though Jeff wanted the other four to be in the Final 4 together.

Meg then headed out to the hammock to chat with Da’Vonne and Jason. Da’Vonne said that she doesn’t want to be stuck in jury with Jace, Liz or Austin. Jason threw Vanessa’s name out there as well, followed by Becky’s. Meg agreed that Becky should go sooner than later. Da’Vonne then said that she feels that sometimes when she is looking out for Audrey she feels that Audrey uses it against her. Da’Vonne said that she knows that Audrey is bouncing around the house and she was glad that people saw it, such as when Austin and Liz brought it up to her earlier. Jason said that Audrey has been talking to everyone and is being the Ronnie of the season. Jason said that she uses everything with everyone and was even trying to guilt trip them earlier. Da’Vonne said that Audrey has got to go and her biggest fear is that nobody will put her up because of who she is. Da’Vonne felt that the talks about backdooring her stemmed from Audrey. Jason said that the best time to get rid of Audrey is during a double eviction. Da’Vonne said that taking Shelli out would remove Audrey’s outside person and weaken her.

Jace approached Steve and said that he is hearing things and wants to make sure that they are boys. Austin had told Jace that Steve was listening in on them earlier. Steve said that they are. Jace kept asking Steve if he is sure about that. Jace said that it would really hurt his feelings if Steve didn’t have his back when he has had Steve’s back all along. Steve assured Jace that he will look out for him and do anything to protect him since he knows that Jace is doing the same for him. Jace asked Steve who he is scared of. Steve said the people that are doing really well with making relationships, though he does not want to name names. Jace then asked who Steve thinks will be the replacement nominee. Steve said that James doesn’t tell him what he is doing, otherwise he wouldn’t have put him up in the first place. Jace then spoke to Austin and Liz. Austin said that he thinks that the alliance is Audrey, Da’Vonne, James, Jason and Steve. He figured that they are trying to pull Meg and Becky in as well. Austin suspected that they would make the easy move and take Jeff out this week. Austin said that they could then take Da’Vonne out for Audrey next week. Jace said that he is worried that he would not have the votes if he is up against Jackie. Austin said that they could then out the whole alliance and make it known that the others cannot be trusted.
