Big Brother 18 Day 10 - Paul wins the Power of Veto

June 24, 2016

10:00-11:00 AM: Da’Vonne, Frank, Nicole and Tiffany chatted in the HoH room. Frank told Nicole that it will be fine if Paulie wins the PoV, though she does not want to have to name a replacement nominee. Nicole agreed and was most concerned about making sure that Jozea doesn’t win the veto. They then discussed that Jozea is trying to convince Paul to use the veto on him if he wins it. They all agreed that Paul will need to be told that he will go home if he in fact does that. James joined them and expressed that he feels the same was as the rest of them do about Paul possibly using the veto on Jozea. Frank assured the others that he will talk to Paul in order to ensure that he understands what would happen if he doesn’t use the veto on himself. The subject then changed to the new competition which was referred to as “BB Road Kill” by the houseguests. Frank asked if Bronte had been saying anything else about thinking that he won the competition. Da’Vonne said no. Frank admitted that he had originally wanted to keep it between the veterans only but he was glad that he told Corey that he won because it really got Corey in a better mood. Frank felt that they could trust their larger alliance since who won the competition has not yet been leaked to the other side. After Tiffany left, Frank said that he likes her but he does not think that she is as smooth as her sister was. Da’Vonne and James agreed. James said he feels like he is playing with Vanessa because everything, such as the mannerisms and the way Tiffany talks, is the same. Da’Vonne thinks that Tiffany is more sociable than Vanessa was. She said that she has to keep reminding herself to trust Tiffany because she sometimes worries that Tiffany is playing Audrey’s game. Frank explained that Tiffany knows a lot and it has not gotten back to the other side so that makes him feel good about her.

11:00-12:00 PM: Da’Vonne, Frank and James discussed that it is best to have Nicole win the PoV because she could then leave the nominations the same. Da’Vonne and Frank acknowledged that they would be faced with showing their cards if they were to win it because their teammates would be expecting them to use it on them. As for the new competition, Frank felt that it is of benefit to their group because they have two chances each week to be able to win power and nominate someone. Frank said that they will have the numbers even if two members of the Eight Pack are on the block. Victor was discussed as a potential target for next week. Da’Vonne and Frank are considering nominating him along with Bronte. Frank figures that Bronte would nominate two males if she were to win HoH. Specifically, he predicted that she would nominate he and Corey together. Frank sees Paulie as someone who they can get to do what they want even though he is not in on the eight person alliance. Feeds went down so that the houseguests could pick players for the veto competition. Nicole, Jozea, Paul, Paulie, Corey and Da’Vonne will be competing. Da’Vonne, Nicole and Zakyah discussed that the player picks went well. Zakiyah mentioned that Da’Vonne can justify leaving nominations the same by saying that one of her other teammates will be nominated if he uses it on him. As for Corey, Nicole said that the last she heard he was not planning on using the veto.

12:00-1:00 PM: Victor spoke to Jozea about the votes. Victor thinks that they will have the numbers to keep both Jozea and Paul safe no matter what happens. Jozea said he hopes that their photos do not go grey. Victor told Jozea not to say that since it’s the most negative thing that he could say. Jozea then spoke to Paul and told him that they have got to win the PoV. Jozea expects that Corey would pull Paulie off of the block. Jozea told Paul that Paulie is in Nicole’s alliance. Paul asked if they should leave the nominations the same or use the PoV if they end up winning it. Jozea said that they would have to take themselves off of the block. Paul worried that one of their own would go up in their place and then they would be no better off. Up in the HoH room, Da’Vonne reiterated that she plans to leave the nominations the same if she wins the PoV. Frank brought up that if Da’Vonne feels the need to use the PoV she should use it on Paul because the others don’t know that he would then nominate Bridgette in Paul’s place. Da’Vonne thanked Frank for the offer but said that she will not be changing the nominations. Down in the bathroom, Paul explained to Jozea that he may be able to get Nicole to use the veto on him. Paul figured that he could pitch to Nicole that she is only doing good if she takes him off the block because he would then owe her. Also, she would not be responsible for naming the replacement nominee in that case and therefore she would not be making another enemy out of it. Frank spoke to Corey about the plan for next week. Frank suggested nominating Victor along with either Bronte or Paul. Corey thought that it would be best for one of the females to be nominated soon. Frank said that he could justify nominating Bronte and Victor together because they will be on the only other team with four players on it. They then went over their options for the Final 5. They agreed that they want Nicole to be there with them. Frank said that he loves Da’Vonne and James but they don’t need to be there. Frank suggested Zakiyah as an option. He figures that she is trustworthy and she is someone that they can beat. However, they worried about the connection between Da’Vonne and Zakiyah, feeling that they would need Da’Vonne out eventually in order to bring Zakiyah in closer. Frank mentioned that Michelle would be an ideal option since they can beat her in competitions.

2:00-3:00 PM: Nicole asked James if he has got her back. James promised that he does. However, he said that he may have to cut her once it gets down to the Final 3. He said that she will have to think about doing the same to him at that point. Nicole told James that he would be smart to take her since she is not making friends with the other houseguests. James told Nicole that the veterans need to stick together. Nicole agreed. James worried that he would look so stupid if he remained loyal to the veterans and they then stabbed him in the back, which Nicole agreed with.

6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Paul won the Power of Veto. Up in the HoH room, Frank spoke to Tiffany about how Jozea believes that Paulie will be evicted by a vote of 9-1-1. Frank said that he still plans to nominate Bridgette in Paul’s place. He thought that people would not suspect that he had won the competition at that point since Bridgette is his teammate. Frank mentioned that Michelle is someone who needs to be more social. Frank said he plans to have a talk with her. Tiffany asked if Frank wants to nominate Michelle. He said no but admitted that he has thought about it. They discussed that it could be a good thing for Michelle to go on the block since it would take the attention off of her in terms of people think that she won the competition. Frank said that he may bring the idea up to her.

7:00-8:00 PM: In the HoH room, Da’Vonne said that it is about to be hilarious because Jozea thinks that he is 100% safe this week. Da’Vonne let Frank know that Nicole said Victor went up to her and said that one of them will be going up on the block. Frank asked if that means that Jozea is no longer wanting Paulie out. Da’Vonne said Jozea sees this as the perfect opportunity to get a veteran out. Frank said good luck with that. Michelle joined the conversation and told the group that Jozea is again planning a meeting. Elsewhere, Jozea filled Victor in on his plan to have a meeting tonight. Victor agreed that one is needed. Victor said that it will be the best when they hear Julie say “Paulie, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house. In the storage room, Paul was entertaining the idea of using the veto on Jozea. Nicole told Paul that it would not come across well because it would make it seem as though Paul thinks that he is invincible. Paul said he did not think of it that way. Nicole asked if Paul would be upset if he got voted out after not using the veto on himself. Paul said yes and eventually agreed that he has to use the veto on himself. Nicole headed to the bedroom to speak with Michelle and Tiffany. Nicole thinks that they are not Victor’s targets but they are Bronte’s targets. For that reason, she said that she is more scared of Bronte than Victor. Tiffany said that she wants to go after Victor first. Michelle said she will nominate both of them together. As for Paulie, Tiffany said she wants to trust him but does not know if she can. Nicole said she does not and will not trust Paulie. Back in the storage room, Corey let Frank know that he is upset with Paul for looking at Nicole after winning the PoV and saying “that’s right, bitch!”. Corey wanted to talk Paul into using the veto on Jozea so that they could vote Paul out. Frank said there is no need to do that and that Jozea needs to go because he is the bigger threat. Frank also explained to Corey that Victor is a bigger threat than Paul and therefore he needs to be the next to go.

8:00-9:00 PM: Paul brought Jozea and Victor into the have-not room to talk. He said that they need to get James out next. Paul believes that James is the one person who was mad that he won the veto. Paul thinks that James is the one who nominated him. He said that James is a lot bigger of a threat than Nicole is to them. He told Jozea and Victor that Nicole likes him and he can use that to their advantage. Paul called James the brains behind things. Da’Vonne, Zakiyah, Natalie, James and Bronte gathered in the room. Jozea, Paul and Victor said that they have to figure out what is going to happen with nominations now. Paul said he expects Da’Vonne or Zakiyah to be the next to go on the block. Bronte questioned why it matters who goes on the block if the plan is to vote Paulie out. James said he will be voting with the people in the room. Victor said they just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page so that they are not splitting their votes. Bronte said that they also have Bridgette’s vote 100%. Meanwhile, Bridgette was up in the HoH room telling Corey, Nicole and Paulie that the others are counting her as a number but it would not make sense for her to vote out a teammate in Paulie. Jozea told the group in the have-not room that they and a couple of others are running the house and even if any of them go up on the block they should feel safe. Jozea and Victor explained that the only way they would have been screwed would have been if Paulie had won the PoV and a third one of them had gone up on the block. Jozea said they all get along as opposed to those in the other seasons who separate right away. Jozea added that they are a more family oriented season. Bronte suggested that they keep the paranoia to a minimum even when Paulie approaches them to campaign.

9:00-10:00 PM: Tiffany walked in on the meeting in the have-not room. Jozea told the group that they own the house and they should not be scared. Michelle then entered the room. Bronte, James and Natalie cleared out. Jozea let the group know that there is only one person on his agenda because that person put him up and now he has to put them up. Jozea said meetings like this don’t need to occur or happen. He pointed out that there would be no armies, no wars and no fighting if everyone in the world stuck together. Jozea said he is preaching like Obama but they can stick together in the house as well. After the meeting wrapped up, Paul and Paulie spoke in the bathroom. Paulie questioned if Paul actually thinks that Jozea has control over the house. Paulie implied that the veterans would not be scared of Jozea. He also said that Jozea has been rubbing some of the girls the wrong way. Paul said it is tough for him because Jozea is his teammate. Paulie was concerned about how many times Jozea has thrown his name out there. Paulie suggested that Paul confront Jozea about it. Paul did not think that it would be best to do so given that he is currently on the block. Paulie headed to the have-not room to speak with Tiffany and Zakiyah. Tiffany assured Paulie that Jozea is going this week. Tiffany said Jozea had better stop acting the way that he is or else they will set it up to be the biggest blindside. Zakiyah figured that Jozea wants to be remembered. Tiffany said he will be remembered as the worst Big Brother player ever. Paulie admitted that his plan moving forward is to target Victor. He said that he would nominate Natalie next to Victor in order to split the two of them up.

10:00-11:00 PM: Tiffany revealed to Paulie that she is Vanessa’s sister. Paulie said he has wondered about that before when Tiffany was asking if people had watched last season and if they are poker fans. He also noted that Tiffany’s mannerisms and the way that she speaks are similar to Vanessa. Paulie said that Vanessa is a good player and that both he and his dad watched her and said she is as good as Derrick or possibly even better than Derrick. Tiffany let Paulie know that the veterans know that she is Vanessa’s sister. She explained that Da’Vonne knew immediately so she could not keep it from her. As for James, Tiffany said that he was listening to her talk while she was out of sight and he put it together that she sounded like Vanessa.

1:00-2:00 AM: After games of spin the bottle and truth or dare, many of the houseguests headed to bed. In the bedroom, Frank spoke to Michelle and told her that she is a trooper. Michelle asked what Frank’s biggest mistake was in his season. Frank said not listening to his gut. Michelle said her gut is telling her that Bronte is really two-faced. Frank said she has a mean streak. Frank and Michelle agreed that Victor is their #1 target. Frank was glad that Michelle felt that way as opposed to someone like Corey who wants to get Paul out first. Frank figured that things would fall into place if they are able to get Jozea and Victor out back to back.
