Big Brother 18 Day 16 - Jozea is evicted; Paulie wins HoH

June 30, 2016

1:00-2:00 PM: After the HoH lockdown, Victor told Bronte that they have to win HoH because he thinks that he and Paul will be on the chopping block. Bronte agreed and said that Jozea could be as well. Paul and Victor then spoke with Frank about how they need to win HoH. Frank let them know that he thinks he could put the target on Tiffany after what happened last night. He said everyone feels awkward around her. Paul was surprised to hear that because he thought that he was the only one who felt that way about Tiffany. Frank asked if they are thinking that they should put James and Tiffany on the block. Victor said yeah. Victor told Frank and Paul that he will give them HoH if he is able to, because they will then be able to put James on the block. Afterwards, Jozea asked Paul if Frank said anything. Paul said he did and he believes that Frank is on their side because he really wants Tiffany out and would not have told them all of this when he knows that they will be questioning him if Jozea leaves. Jozea, Paul and Victor agreed that Frank is playing both sides. Jozea went to Bridgette to ask why she had a gut feeling that he was going home. Bridgette said that she did not say that. She questioned who told Jozea that. Jozea did not want to name any names. Jozea told Bridgette that he is not going home. Bridgette was frustrated that people continue to throw her name around.

Corey spoke to Nicole about how Frank let the girls know about which way the vote is going in order to protect himself. Nicole agreed that Frank did it in order to remain good with that side. Corey thought that Frank may end up voting Paulie out to cover himself. Nicole worried that Da’Vonne would do that as well. Corey said he will rat Frank out and tell people that he won the Road Kill competition if he tries to pull anything. He wondered if he should tell Frank that beforehand. Nicole advised him not to. Nicole pointed out that as long as it doesn’t change the outcome of the vote, it will allow them to see where Frank really lies. She added that Michelle and Zakiyah also see that Frank is being selfish. Corey said that deep down he trusts Frank and trusts that he will do the right thing by voting to evict Jozea. Nicole again threw it out there that Da’Vonne is someone to watch out for as well. She noted that Da’Vonne was covering for Frank last night when people were questioning why he did what he did. Nicole admitted that she trusts Frank more than she trusts Da’Vonne because she thinks that Da’Vonne is up to something.

2:00-3:00 PM: Frank asked Bridgette if the girls are remaining quiet about what is going to happen tonight. Bridgette thought so but revealed that Jozea made her feel like she needs to be worried. Frank told her not to be. He said that Jozea is going home. He explained that it is best if it is a surprise to the guys on that side. He told Bridgette that he will try to explain the move to them afterwards. Bridgette wanted to know who has been talking about her. Frank wasn’t sure but admitted to hearing that she is in the doghouse. Bridgette said she doesn’t want to think that it’s Bronte and Natalie. Frank told her that he doesn’t think it is.

3:00-4:00 PM: Bronte asked Natalie if Paulie asked her for her vote. Natalie said Paulie asked how she was voting. She admitted to Paulie that she will be voting him out because she made a promise to Jozea. Bronte figured that Da’Vonne and Zakiyah would vote with them to evict Paulie. Natalie told Bronte that they need to prepare for the worst. Bronte said they will have to win HoH if Jozea leaves. Natalie said the two of them should be safe even if they don’t, but she agreed that they will need to try to win it.

7:00-8:00 PM: Feeds returned following the HoH competition. Paulie is the new HoH. Bridgette, Frank and Michelle are safe for the week. James went to the camera and apologized to America. He said that he had to throw the competition so that they could get rid of Victor and Bronte. Paulie spoke to Nicole about his nominations. He said that he is for sure going to nominate Victor. Other than that, he had not decided between Bronte, Natalie and Paul.

8:00-9:00 PM: In the bedroom, Frank and Tiffany cleared things up between the two of them. Frank admitted that he got a little heated last night. He said that he can have a temper sometimes. Tiffany said it is not all on Frank. She said she realizes that she can come off as aggressive now that multiple people have told her that about herself. Frank said that he is the same way and they both play the devil’s advocate. Tiffany apologized for being aggressive. Frank said that she doesn’t have to apologize for anything. He admitted that he can understand how what he did could come off as brash but he was trying to help James and Nicole out. Frank told Tiffany that he saw an opportunity and took it. He pointed out that they still got to blindside Jozea. Tiffany said that this whole thing is teaching her about herself. In the bathroom, Natalie told Bronte that they need to go to James’ side. She said that Victor and Paul will be targeted. Bronte figured that they would then be next if they switched sides. Natalie said it would give them a couple of weeks to finger things out. Bronte said she would swallow her pride and switch sides. Natalie discussed making a girls pact since they want a girl to win the season. Bronte told Natalie that she is the only person that she will be playing the game with. Bronte said she is putting all of her trust into Natalie.

Paulie told Michelle and Tiffany that he would like for Victor to go. If Victor gets himself off of the block, Paulie said he would prefer to send a girl home. He mentioned Bronte or Natalie as options. Paulie was concerned that Frank and James would buy the sob stories from Bronte and Natalie. He said that when he sees those guys trying to pull the girls in it makes him feel as though they would keep the girls over him. Tiffany said that is what she was trying to say last night. Paulie told Tiffany that he agreed with what she was saying. Elsewhere, Victor talked to Bronte about how they could have won the competition. He said that he should have just pushed James off. Bronte said their team would have been disqualified if Victor had done that. Victor wasn’t sure if he is the target or if James is the target. Bronte said that Victor is the target since James threw the competition. She expects that she or Paul will be nominated next to Victor. Bronte brought up that she really believed Da’Vonne and Zakiyah when they said they were going to vote Paulie out. Bronte told Victor that the one thing they can use is that they remained loyal and did what they said they were going to do.

9:00-10:00 PM: James told Frank that his part is done and he is behind whatever the group wants to do. Frank wondered it would be best to nominate Bronte and Paul and then backdoor Victor. James said worst case scenario is that they don’t nominate Victor and then the nominations stay the same. They discussed that the only way they can’t get Victor on the block is if he wins the PoV. Frank said that backdooring Victor is an idea. James thought that it would be a waste if they didn’t get him out this week. Frank figured that backdooring Victor would be their best shot at getting him out. Paul and Victor pleaded their case to Paulie. Victor brought up nominating James because he is someone who has been lying. He then proposed the idea of breaking up the girls because there are eight females and only six males. They said it would be easy for the girls to align and pick them off. Victor told Paulie that he would be open to starting a Brigade type alliance. Both Paul and Victor emphasized that they are loyal people who stood by Jozea and would do the same thing for Paulie. Bronte joined them and said the same thing. She also pointed out that they are strong competitors and could benefit Paulie in that way.

11:00-12:00 AM: James told Da’Vonne, Nicole and Zakiyah that he let Paulie know he can put his team on slop in order to weaken Victor. James said Victor had better be going on the block if that’s the case. He mentioned that Frank threw out the idea of backdooring Victor. Zakiyah wasn’t sure why they would go the backdoor route. Da’Vonne said it’s risky. Frank joined them and explained why he thought that it could work out. However, he said that it’s just an idea. In the bedroom, Paulie asked Corey if he can believe the things that Paul and Victor were trying to say. He said that those two must think that he is a moron. Paulie revealed that he is considering nominating Paul and Victor together. He figured that he could pull Paul aside and explain that he wants him to compete in order to keep Victor nominated because he trusts him but does not trust Victor. Paulie let Nicole and Zakiyah know that Paul and Victor had been pitching that they need to get a girl out of the house because they are currently holding an 8-6 advantage. Zakiyah said that’s cute.

12:00-1:00 AM: Paulie ran his potential plan for nominations by Zakiyah. He said he can nominate Paul next to Victor. If they win the Road Kill, he thought that Bronte would be a good choice. Paulie said that he trusts everyone in the nine. He said he wants to stick to the plan to get the other five out. Bridgette, Bronte, Natalie, Paul and Victor are those five. Zakiyah said that she too is secure in the nine that they have. Paulie hoped that they could have an easy July because they can pick off the other side.

1:00-2:00 AM: Paulie asked Paul if he really trusts Victor. Paul said he does. Paul called Victor a loyal and honest guy who was loyal and honest to Jozea. Paul suggested that they look at the bigger picture because two newbies are gone. Paul said their odds will soon lessen. That being said, Paul claimed that he is not saying to go after the returnees. Paulie let Paul know that he is the most liked person in his group. However, Paulie said that he is not sure if he trusts Victor. Paulie worried that Victor would go after Corey. Corey was in the room and said that Victor has lied about a lot of stuff. Paulie told Paul that Victor will nominate he or Corey the second that he gets the chance. Paulie explained that he needs somebody else up on the block to ensure that Victor doesn’t win the veto. Paulie said that he can guarantee that Paul will be safe because a girl is going home if Victor wins the veto. Paulie continued to talk to Paulie about using him as a pawn to get Victor out. Paulie said he would be willing to use the veto on Paul in order to put a girl up next to Victor. Corey said the same thing. The conversation was broken up soon after.

2:00-3:00 AM: Natalie and Tiffany spoke in the bedroom. Natalie said that Jozea, Paul and Victor were very aggressive with her last week. Tiffany told Natalie that people were rubbed the wrong way by Jozea trying to control a lot of stuff. Natalie brought up how the guys were trying to get her against James by telling her that James was lying to her. Tiffany said James was not lying about the Nicole thing. Natalie said she was really hurt by them saying that because she gravitates towards James naturally. Tiffany told Natalie that she watched James 24/7 last year and she knows that he is a loyal guy. Natalie talked about her situation with Victor. Tiffany told Natalie that she has the potential to go a lot further than he does. She advised Natalie to go with the people that she feels she can trust in her gut. Natalie said she is not talking to Paul or Victor anymore. She called them atomic bombs. Tiffany said they are going to implode. Natalie mentioned that she wished people had come to her sooner about the vote. Tiffany explained that people were very turned off by Jozea’s behaviour so they did not want it getting out there. Tiffany let Natalie know that she will do her best to keep her off of the block this week. She said that James is working to keep Natalie safe as well.

4:00-5:00 AM: Paulie told Paul not to stress himself out. He said that they will figure things out if Paul doesn’t want to be on the block at all. Paul said it’s not so much that that he is worried about, but rather that people will have a vendetta against him afterwards due to who he is being grouped in with. Paul felt that they would be in trouble if Victor ended up winning the veto. Paulie assured Paul that he would stay because he would nominate someone else who would go. Paulie said he needs Paul to be there next week to compete for him when he cannot compete. Paulie later brought up the idea of trying to backdoor Victor. Paulie mentioned nominating Paul next to a girl or nominating two girls together. Paul thought that it would look weird if Paulie pulled him off of the block to nominate Victor. Paulie said it wouldn’t because he would be sending his target home. Paulie assured Paul that whatever decision is made would be well thought out. Paul asked about nominating Corey next to Victor. Paulie said he will talk to Corey about it and he will also consider nominating James because James is a competition beast. Paul brought up Bronte as someone who is valuable. He said she is honest. As for Bridgette, Paul felt that she was very unsure about her actions. Paulie said Bridgette knows what she is doing and she is playing both sides. Paulie told Paul that he isn’t sure about Natalie and that others feel the same way, so one of those girls would be able to go over Paul if he gets stuck on the block. Paul said if he wins the Road Kill, he will come to Paulie to ask him who he wants on the block. Paul threw out the idea of nominating Corey so that he can compete to win the veto. Paulie said the veto competitions are usually more mental. He suggested that James may be an option. Paul wanted to make sure that James doesn’t have any issues with him. Paulie assured Paul that he does not.

5:00-6:00 AM: Paulie told Frank that his talk with Paul seemed to have went well. Paulie said he is trying to figure out the best way to get Victor out. They discussed that Victor needs to be the one to go because he is a loose cannon and you don’t know who he will nominate if he gets in power. Paulie wondered if they could speak to Bronte about choosing Natalie instead of Victor if she gets houseguest’s choice. He figured that they could nominate Bronte and Paul then tell everyone to let one of them win the veto so that Victor can go up. However, Paulie said part of him would like to go head to head with Victor and beat him. Frank said he too would like to see Victor go up, lose the competition and be sent packing. Paulie wasn’t sure how their alliance would feel about backdooring Victor. Frank said he mentioned it to Da’Vonne and Nicole but they didn’t really say what they prefer. Paulie said there are two people that their side of the house would be happy with sending home since their side does not like Bronte either. Frank said he would like to target Victor, Bronte and then Tiffany. Paulie said he gets a good feeling about Tiffany. He said she is smart and it could be beneficial to them moving forward. Frank mentioned that he may take it back because he and Tiffany are good after their talk earlier. Frank said he worries that Tiffany will want to fill Vanessa’s shoes and try to make some big moves. Specifically, Frank thought that Tiffany would come after him but he didn’t think that she would do it anytime soon. Frank and Paulie agreed that they trust Zakiyah a lot. Paulie said he would like to be ride or die with Corey and Frank.
