Big Brother 18 Day 18 - Paulie wins the Power of Veto

July 2, 2016

10:00-11:00 AM: After an HoH lockdown, it was time to find out who would be the have-nots for the week. Paulie read a card that said Da’Vonne, Paul and Zakiyah would be the have-nots because they transferred the fewest berries in the HoH competition. In addition to slop, the have-nots get to eat berries. Corey and Victor spoke about Tiffany. Corey said that there are a lot of people upset with Tiffany. He pointed out that Frank did not like what Tiffany did the other night. Victor thought that they would have at least five votes to evict Tiffany. He listed off Corey, Frank, Natalie, Nicole and himself. Corey said he is down to send Tiffany home. Tiffany later spoke to Corey. She told him that she will pick him to play in the veto competition if she gets to choose. Corey said he is on board with that. Tiffany brought up that it would be funny if she won the veto because Victor would feel safe and think that he is choosing the replacement nominee. Corey told her that Victor would be safe if she did that. Tiffany explained that she could use the veto on someone else and then Victor could be nominated. Corey then agreed that it would be funny if that happened. In the kitchen, Frank told James and Nicole that if they win Road Kill next week they can secretly nominate Tiffany. Nicole brought up that it would still be best to get Bronte out. Frank said she is right because leaving Tiffany in gives the other side a target to go after. James asked which order they should target Bronte and Paul in. Frank said Bronte first. Frank wants the eviction order to be Bronte, Paul, Tiffany and then either Bridgette or Natalie. Frank said they are kind of trading Paulie for Tiffany right now. James brought up that it would be so cool if the returnees were the Final 4. Frank said it would be sick. Nicole said it would be crazy. Frank figured that it would be doable. James said if that happened then the people in other seasons would never work with the vets. Frank said the show put in a crew of returnees that works really well together. Frank and James agreed that it was done to give them a chance.

11:00-12:00 PM: Tiffany spoke to James about what he would do if he were in her position and she ends up having to win the veto because it is down to her and Victor. James agreed with her that she would have to win it at that point. As for using it, James said she would have to use it on one of the other nominees. He said that he too would do that if he were in that position. James said that it is a bold move but it would show that she really trusts the team. Tiffany asked who Victor thinks the target is. James said probably her because that is his only option right now. However, James assured Tiffany that Victor doesn’t have any votes on his side to get anybody out. He said everyone wants to send Victor home.

12:00-1:00 PM: Players were picked for the veto competition. Paulie, Bronte, Paul, Tiffany, Da’Vonne and Zakiyah. Frank told Da’Vonne and Zakiyah that they can go out there and have fun now since it doesn’t matter who wins because Victor did not get picked to play. Da’Vonne and Frank discussed that they are proud of Paul for how he is handling everything. Paul chose Zakiyah to compete in the veto competition instead of choosing Victor. Frank said he wouldn’t mind sending Tiffany home before Paul. Frank listed off his ideal eviction order as Victor, Bronte, Tiffany and then either Bridgette or Paul. Frank said the ideal scenario is that one of them wins the Road Kill once Bronte and Victor are gone, so that they can nominate her and send her out without her knowing who did it. Da’Vonne mentioned that Tiffany needs to know that she has to throw veto competition even though Victor was not chosen. Frank pointed out that Tiffany could use the veto on someone else even if she won it, but he he didn’t want her to get nervous and then end up using it on herself. They asked Paulie if he thinks that someone should talk to Tiffany. Paulie didn’t think so. He figured that talking to her about it again might do nothing but make her more nervous about what is going on.

1:00-2:00 PM: Da’Vonne told Zakiyah that Frank is trying to get Bridgette, Paul and Natalie to jury because he knows that they are all votes for him. Da’Vonne said “hell no” about letting that happen. Da’Vonne figured that Frank would try to cut them all and bring Natalie to the end because she has done nothing. She said that’s how Frank will win the game. Zakiyah said Frank will rub people the wrong way at some point. Da’Vonne said that he already is but nobody wants to say anything. Da’Vonne brought up that Frank orchestrated this whole eviction. Da’Vonne told Zakiyah that Paulie does love her but the sad part is that he would vote for Frank over her. Zakiyah agreed. Zakiyah said they are at the bottom of the totem pole in society and she wants to show them that they can do it. Da’Vonne agreed. Da’Vonne pointed out that Frank could have taken HoH but he didn’t do it because he knows that Victor might end up coming back. Da’Vonne said she planted a seed about getting Tiffany out in order to bring Paulie into their eight and Frank was on board. Da’Vonne said Paulie was supposed to go even if they do send Tiffany home, so that’s not the agreement. Zakiyah said she can let Paulie know at some point that Frank is not as much for him as he thinks that he is. Da’Vonne figured that Frank is pushing the showmance between Paulie and Zakiyah so that Zakiyah will fight to keep Paulie which will help Frank. Da’Vonne said that she will keep making Frank feel comfortable and like he is running stuff. She said he has got to go. Da’Vonne proposed that they get Victor, Paul and Bronte out and then they take out either Bridgette or Natalie. After that, Da’Vonne thought that they may be able to bring another girl in but not put her in the Fatal Five. She said they can then take the guys out until they get down to the five. At that point, Da’Vonne told Zakiyah that the two of them can pick the girls off and make it to the end together. She said that would give them each a fair shot since they had the same exact strategy. Zakiyah agreed. Da’Vonne said that it is an automatic loss if they are up against Frank, James or Nicole at the end. As for Michelle, Da’Vonne said everybody loves Michelle. Da’Vonne said Tiffany would also win because she is Vanessa’s sister. Da’Vonne said it would be so crazy to have a newbie and vet sitting at the end that are both black, gorgeous women. Zakiyah said she will not be turning her back on this. They discussed that their moms are happy about their alliance. Da’Vonne feels that Corey needs to go because Nicole is starting to get attached to him.

2:00-3:00 PM: Frank and Paulie spoke in the HoH room. Paulie said he has thought about going up to Victor after the veto competition to talk to him about what the plan is in terms of getting him out. Paulie said he doesn’t want to make the last few days miserable for Victor. Paulie mentioned that they had really reeled Victor in so he felt a bit bad. However, Paulie said that Victor is too unpredictable and he has got to go. Frank brought up that almost everybody on their side of the house likes the two of them. He said they will make the moves before the others even know what happened. Frank said they are both starting to get a little worried about Tiffany. Paulie admitted that he had wanted to protect Tiffany for a while but he does not want the heat to get brought on them. Frank said Tiffany put the whole girl thing in Da’Vonne’s ear last night and got her thinking about the possibility of the guys wanting the girls out. Frank said he feels like Zakiyah, Nicole and Michelle will never go against them. As for Da’Vonne, he said that he worries about her more than anyone when it comes to the whole girl thing. Paulie said he is trying to keep Tiffany close so that he can know what she is throwing out there. Paulie figured that they could keep Tiffany trusting them by having Corey get in Nicole’s ear, Frank get in Da’Vonne’s ear and himself get in Zakiyah’s ear.

6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Paulie won the Power of Veto. Da’Vonne told Frank and Paulie that Tiffany counted her letters and then made sure that she beat her. Paulie said that she probably counted everyone’s. Da’Vonne said that she watched her and she did not. Frank and Paulie told Da’Vonne to keep the info filed away for later. Da’Vonne said that she will not say anything about it. Up in the HoH room, Nicole asked Frank who Paulie should take down. Frank said it’s a good question. Paulie said he was thinking that he should take Paulie down because he has been talking to him. It was mentioned that it doesn’t really matter either way since they can get Victor on the block. In the kitchen, Natalie asked Bronte how she is feeling. Bronte said that she is nervous. She wondered if the plan really is to backdoor Victor. Natalie figured that it was indeed the plan because everyone is talking about it. Bronte agreed that Victor is the target but said that the two of them are likely next. Natalie assumed that Paulie would use the veto on Paul in order to make it seem as though he is working with Paul.

7:00-8:00 PM: Paulie spoke to Paul about removing him from the block. Paulie said he plans to put all of the heat on himself so that Victor is only mad at him and he can enjoy his last week with everyone else. Paulie explained that he will say it was his decision and he made the move because Victor tried to flip the vote against him last week. Paulie said that everyone can act surprised. Tiffany asked Paulie if he plans to tell Victor that he is going up ahead of time. Paulie said no. In the have-not room, Michelle, Tiffany and Zakiyah discussed the plan for next week. Tiffany figured that Bridgette, Bronte and Natalie would go on the block. She said that she would be fine with Paul going up as well. Zakiyah suggested that a girl should go home next because that way it doesn’t look suspect that they are sending home another guy. Tiffany said Natalie should be the next to go even though she is cool with her. The reasoning behind it was that Natalie is clinging to James and able to manipulate him. Michelle said that she feels that way about Bridgette because of her relationship with Frank. Up in the HoH room, Frank told Paulie that they can let a girl win HoH next week because they will go after Bronte for sure. He said Paul can be the casualty if Bronte is saved. Paulie said Da’Vonne is feeling sketched out by Tiffany. Paulie said he wanted to make sure he beat Tiffany so that she didn’t have to decide whether or not to save herself. Frank agreed. Corey said they need to start getting the girls out. Paulie said they can let them get themselves out. He didn’t think that they had to worry about the girls unless it got down to just the three of them. Frank said Da’Vonne and Nicole will not go after James. Frank added that they could always keep Paul around until after some of the other girls go. Frank figured that the girls will roll with them until jury at least and then it’s only going to be a 5-4 advantage for the girls. Frank mentioned that Da’Vonne and Nicole are the strongest females and the biggest personalities that the girls would listen to. He did not think that they would join a girls alliance. Frank told Paulie that they can get someone like Corey to nominate Da’Vonne and James once they get down to 7 or 8.

While Corey, Frank and Pauile were talking, Tiffany asked Da’Vonne how she thinks that Victor will react. She said he will not be a happy camper at all. Da’Vonne then asked Tiffany what the next move, either targeting Bronte or targeting Paul. Tiffany said whichever. Da’Vonne and Tiffany discussed that Frank and James are trying to protect Bridgette and Natalie. Tiffany said her one big fear is that the guys will be intimidated by the number of girls in the house. Da’Vonne said she brought up getting rid of the guys that aren’t in their group and Frank tried to say that they should go after people like Bronte before Paul. Da’Vonne questioned why they are now going out of order. Tiffany said it’s weird that the guys now want to keep Paul safe. Tiffany let Da’Vonne know that Bridgette, Bronte and Natalie really want a girl to win this season and they were almost talking about all of the girls teaming up. Da’Vonne said she had a dream that they got rid of Victor, Paul and Frank, then they went to Bridgette, Bronte and Natalie to work with them. Tiffany said they have to start thinking about that. She said some of the guys are going to be impossible to get out. Da’Vonne named Frank and James. Tiffany said they are beasts. Da’Vonne said they cannot sit next to Frank, James or Zakiyah at the end. Da’Vonne told Tiffany that they are equally hated and would have an equal shot against each other. Da’Vonne suggested that they start getting the guys out. Tiffany said there is one person who is super about their eight. Da’Vonne said Michelle. Tiffany agreed. Da’Vonne thought that they could get the girls together after Frank goes. Da’Vonne said Frank has got to go before jury. Tiffany agreed and said that Nicole would probably be on board. Da’Vonne said she is scared to approach Nicole about it. Tiffany said Bridgette, Bronte and Natalie would for sure be on board. She asked how Zakiyah feels. Da’Vonne mentioned that she really likes Paulie. Tiffany said they could leave Paulie for last.

8:00-9:00 PM: Michelle asked James who he wants out next. He wouldn’t give a name. He asked Michelle the same question. She said that she wants Bridgette out but she cannot nominate her. James said he will be gunning for HoH next week. Michelle said that she would give it to James if she can. James said he could nominate Bridgette and Paul. Michelle said that’s fine with her. She said Michelle will float and bake her way to the end like Jun. James assured her that they will not let that happen. In the bathroom, Da’Vonne told Nicole and Zakiyah that Tiffany had a talk with Bridgette, Bronte and Natalie. She said those three girls are on board with teaming up to wipe out the guys. Nicole worried that they were saying that just to advance themselves in the game. Da’Vonne pointed out that the Fatal Five would be stronger than those three if it did happen. She said they could use it to their advantage to have the girls pull the trigger on people that they themselves cannot take out. Nicole didn’t believe that Bronte would do it since she has heard from multiple people that Bronte is after her. She later said she can’t hold it against Bronte if she has indeed changed how she feels about her. Da’Vonne said they could get Bronte and Paul out and then approach Bridgette and Natalie about working together. Da’Vonne said she believes that Frank has something with the guys. They discussed that Frank only wants people in jury who will vote for him to win the game. Zakiyah said Frank is the leader. Da’Vonne said he has been orchestrating a lot of things that have been happening. As for Paulie, they worried about his connection with Tiffany. Nicole thinks that Paulie is Tiffany’s #1. She figured that Tiffany has their back but she did not realize how close she and Paulie were until this week. Both Da’Vonne and Zakiyah said they saw it a while back. They told Nicole that Paulie would never nominate Tiffany and that he would have her back over theirs.

9:00-10:00 PM: Frank and James agreed that they are getting a bit of a weird feeling from Victor. They thought that he either knows that he is defeated or realizes that he may be going on the block. Frank said Bronte needs to go next and then Tiffany has to go after that. He mentioned that the fact that Paulie is trusting Tiffany is making him trust her even less. James called Tiffany the weakest link in their group. He said she is the one who is most likely to do something drastic. Frank figured that Tiffany would come after him. Frank said that Corey and Paulie are so worried about the girls teaming up. He said he is getting tired of that. Frank told James that Tiffany may even end up having to go next week if Bronte wins the veto. They agreed that they would rather have Bridgette and Natalie in jury over Tiffany. Frank said that Paulie will have to go if they end up keeping Tiffany around. However, he thought that Da’Vonne, Michelle, Nicole and Zakiyah would all be fine with targeting Tiffany after Bronte goes.

10:00-11:00 PM: Frank and James got Nicole up to speed on the plan. He said that Bronte needs to go next but Tiffany is either going the week after or next week if Bronte is safe. Nicole said she is fine with the plan but would prefer to see Bronte go first. Frank suggested that Michelle and Zakiyah are the best two people for the returnees to take to the Final 6 with them. Nicole said she is fine with that. Frank also said that they could use the third nominee to their advantage in order to secretly take out some of the stronger guys like Corey and Paulie once they get down to around ten people left in the house. In the bathroom, Bridgette told Bronte and Natalie that they need to find a way to get the vets out. If not, she said that they have to at least work on cracking those who they are closest to. Bridgette said they cannot lose Tiffany right now. She mentioned that Tiffany hates Frank and could go after him. Bronte said they are the outsiders right now and they will be targets especially if James continues to throw competitions. Bridgette told Bronte and Natalie that they cannot let James have HoH next week if their team wins it. Bronte figures that Corey or James will win the game if people don’t start making bold moves. Natalie threw Frank’s name into the mix as well.

11:00-12:00 AM: Natalie told Bridgette and Bronte that she caught Frank and James talking in the storage room while everyone else was upstairs. She said that those two are together. Bridgette said that they need Tiffany to stay because she will take a swing at Frank because she hates him. Natalie said that they need all of the girls in the house to come together. Bridgette said they cannot do it too soon or else it will be too obvious. Bronte didn’t think that Zakiyah would be on board with going against Paulie. She said that they have a full on showmance. Tiffany joined them. Bronte asked who Paulie is going to use the veto on. Tiffany said probably Paulie but just because he didn’t pick Victor to play in the veto competition. Tiffany let the girls know that she has some potentially good news for them moving forward. She said she would fill them in later.

12:00-1:00 AM: Bridgette let Tiffany know that Bronte wants to shake things up because the guys will pick them off one by one if not. Tiffany said she knows for a fact that it will happen. She told Bridgette that it wont be her. Bridgette said she needs Bronte and Natalie to stay. Tiffany agreed. She let Bridgette know that Da’Vonne is someone who wants to make bold moves as well. Tiffany said Frank and James are running the house and one of them needs to go. She told Bridgette that Frank needs to go first. She said the ideal person to take out Frank would be Bronte since she has nothing to lose right now. Tiffany mentioned that Paul can go next. Bridgette worried that the guys would try to reel Paul in once Victor is gone. Tiffany said it is already happening. Bridgette suggested that there are bigger targets than Paul and they should be going after a vet before him. Tiffany asked how Bridgette sees the house right now. Bridgette said she sees Corey and Frank hang out. She also said Frank and James. As for the girls, she listed off Da’Vonne, Zakiyah, Michelle and Nicole as being tight. Tiffany said she is thinking that Michelle is someone who is not a girls girl. She pointed out that every fan page that Michelle has talked about making has been for male players.
