Big Brother 18 Day 44 - Frank is evicted; Paul wins HoH
July 28, 2016
6:00-7:00 PM: During tonight’s live eviction episode, Julie informed the houseguests that the tickets they received from the secret room will expire following the opening of one during August 18th’s eviction episode. Frank was evicted by a unanimous vote of 9-0. Frank’s ticket was a one way ticket, meaning that he will not be returning to the house. Julie announced a new twist that the viewers can play a part in. The twist is “America’s Care Package”. Viewers will vote for a houseguest of their choosing to receive a care package in each of the next five weeks. A houseguest can only receive a care package once. The care packages are as follows:
Care Package 1: Never-Not Pass- Whichever houseguest receives this care package will never be a have-not again this season.
Care Package 2: Eliminate Two Eviction Votes- Whichever houseguest receives this care package will have the ability to prevent two people from voting in this week’s eviction vote.
Care Package 3: Super Safety - Whichever houseguest receives this care package will be safe for the week but must wear a costume.
Care Package 4: Co-HoH- Whichever houseguest receives this care package will share in the HoH responsibilities, including making one nomination.
Care Package 5: BB Bribe- Whichever houseguest receives this care package will be given $5,000 to bribe one houseguest in order to influence voting, competitions, the veto or nominations.
8:00-9:00 PM: Feeds returned following the HoH competition. Paul is the new HoH. The four have-nots for the week are Corey, Natalie, Paulie and Zakiyah. In the storage room, James told Natalie that Paul will not put her on the block. He said Paul wants Bridgette out. In the living room, Michelle said she is so happy. She assumes that Bridgette will be going home. Back in the storage room, Paul told Corey and Victor that he is worried because he didn’t really want to win HoH this week. He feels vulnerable in the event that next week is a double eviction. Corey and Victor assured him that they will have his back. Paul said he needs one of the boys to go up as a pawn. He implied that Bridgette is the target. Paul explained that he wants one of the guys competing alongside him in the veto competition. Victor said he doesn’t feel comfortable being a pawn when he was already voted out of the house once. Paul told Da’Vonne that he is going to stick to his word and do what he has to do. He said nobody even needs to talk to him this week, and all that he needs is people to have his back next week. Back in the living room, Michelle asked Paul if he will ask Victor to be a pawn. Paul said yeah but Victor was not on board the first time that he asked. Paul said he needs help convincing Victor to do it.
9:00-10:00 PM: In the bedroom, Michelle told Da’Vonne she was so scared that Bridgette was going to win HoH. Michelle asked how Bridgette seems. Da’Vonne said she seems okay. Michelle wondered if Bridgette thinks that she is going on the block. Da’Vonne thinks that she does and figured that she has either accepted it or is thinking that she has the round trip ticket. In the living room, Bridgette told Victor that she has to unpack her bags. She said she is there for one more week. Victor said she should be in jury too. Bridgette said she is happy. Victor said he is too because it’s the first week that he feels safe since his boy won HoH. Bridgette said she doesn’t know where Paul’s head is at. Victor suggested that she talk to him. Victor said things did a complete 180 really quick, since he was out of the house and is now back in and things are totally different with his boy in power. Elsewhere, Paulie told Corey he is going to try to convince Paul to get Da’Vonne out this week. Corey suggested nominating Bridgette and Da’Vonne. Corey called Da’Vonne the girl form of Frank. Paulie said Da’Vonne started plotting who is going next as soon as Frank leaving was guaranteed. Paulie said he will tell Paul that Frank told Bridgette to work with he and Corey. They thought that Paul could tell Bridgette that she is the pawn next to Da’Vonne. James joined them. Paulie said now would be a good time to get Da’Vonne out. He said Zakiyah would then 100% be his and Nicole would 100% be Corey’s. James didn’t say much but said implied he would go along with the plan if Paulie could get Paul on board with it. Paulie said they would then have the girls on their side to take a shot at Victor or even Paul when the time is right. Paulie suggested that Victor would do whatever they want him to at least for the time being. As for Bridgette, Paulie said she would take out some of the girls for them. Paulie brought up that Da’Vonne has been pushing for Paul to go after Nicole. Paulie said she does have to go eventually. Corey said Nicole has information about Da’Vonne that she wants to share with Paulie. Paulie said she doesn’t have to cause he already wants her gone. Paulie said Nicole would not come after them. Paulie then said Corey, James and himself can eventually decide which order they want to pick off Natalie, Nicole and Zakiyah. Paul joined them and said he needs help assuring Victor that he will not be going him if nominated next to Bridgette. Paulie said that will be tough to do. He started explaining that Da’Vonne could rally the girls. Paul said he needs Bridgette to go this week. Paulie told Paul that it is better to get Da’Vonne out. He said Da’Vonne, Michelle and Zakiyah are the only ones that want Bridgette out. Paul preferred not to nominate Da’Vonne initially, saying she could stir up a bunch of stuff if she is on the block that long. Though Paulie brought up that the veto may not get used, Paul said they get a girl out ether way. Paulie again argued that Da’Vonne could flip some votes. Paulie mentioned using Natalie as a pawn. Paul didn’t want to do that to James, though he said he would do it if Paulie gets James and Natalie on board with it. Paul said he wants Bridgette gone because she is a loose cannon. Though Paulie argued that she will go after the girls, Paul said she cannot be trusted.
10:00-11:00 PM: Paulie told Corey and Victor that he thinks it is best to have two female pawns. He suggested that they could talk to Nicole and Zakiyah about going on the block next to Bridgette. He said that in a perfect world they could get James to talk to Natalie and get her on board with being the pawn. Paul joined them. He said as much as he wants to trust them that Bridgette is after the girls, he just finished blowing up Bridgette’s game. Paulie said it’s fine if Bridgette goes on the block. He told Paul that he could then use the veto on Bridgette so that Da’Vonne goes on the block in her place. Paul didn’t like that idea. He said he would be screwing himself. Paulie disagreed and said the veto winner would be the one screwing themselves. Paulie said Bridgette has lost three competitions in a row even if she stays. Paul said Da’Vonne has lost every competition. Paul said he is on board with getting Da’Vonne out but he has to go about it in the right way. He said he needs to put Bridgette up but he is fine with Paulie putting work in to get people to turn against Da’Vonne as the week progresses. Paul told the guys that he wants them to figure out who the pawn will be. Nicole asked Corey if she is going on the block. Corey said he doesn’t know yet. Nicole pointed out that she didn’t use Paul as a pawn. Nicole said Bridgette expects to go up and Da’Vonne could be told that she is a pawn. Nicole said she is not cool with going up and she will hold a grudge against Paul if she goes up. Corey considered offering to go up. He figured that it would be a safe bet votes wise. Corey told Nicole that she will have to change her attitude if she goes up. Nicole said the girls will flip the vote if she goes up. Nicole said Da’Vonne is going down this week. Nicole was not okay with getting stuck on the block next to her if Bridgette ends up winning the veto. Nicole suggested that it would be best to nominate Da’Vonne originally, convincing her that she is just a pawn. Nicole asked if Corey would be nervous if she went on the block. Corey said no. Nicole said she really is not okay with being the pawn but she will be if she has to be. Nicole explained that she would not be able to live with herself if she volunteered and then went home. Nicole questioned why Natalie can’t be the pawn. Corey said Paul feels bad since she is a have-not and has been nominated. Nicole countered that by saying Big Brother is about strategy and not taking turns.
11:00-12:00 AM: Nicole approached Paul about using Natalie as a pawn, comparing her to Victoria. Paul said he is fine with putting anyone up as long as they are on board. Nicole said she will talk to Natalie. Nicole then woke Natalie up to ask if she is willing to be a pawn. Nicole said Paul obviously wants Bridgette out. Natalie said she will not beat Bridgette at anything. She also said she has been a pawn before. Nicole assured that she would have the votes and that there is a plan to put someone else up if Bridgette comes down. Natalie said she doesn’t want to do it again. Nicole told her she would not go home. Natalie feared that she would be used as a pawn over and over again if she goes up. Nicole said her worry is that people would want her out because she is a returnee. Natalie disagreed. Natalie said she would never vote against Nicole. Nicole asked if she would have her vote against Bridgette. Natalie assured her that she would. Natalie and Paulie then spoke. Paulie told her there is no way that she would go home if on the block. Natalie said it’s not fun to be on the block. Paulie explained that the plan is to backdoor someone, which means that the veto will get used. Natalie questioned if Paul wants Bridgette gone. Paulie said no. James joined them. Paulie said the options for a pawn are Nicole, Natalie and Zakiyah. James said he will talk to Paul because he knows Natalie is likely not cool with going up as a pawn when she has already done it. James said he will ask for a favour because he took a lot of blood last week. He also pointed out that some people have not yet been on the block. Paulie agreed. Paulie said he thinks Paul is leaning towards nominating Nicole. James said he is looking out for Natalie and will try to see if he can get her a hall pass this week.
12:00-1:00 AM: James told Natalie that he really will try to get somebody else on the block. He said he knows that she will tell him not to or that he doesn’t have to, but that’s what friends do. Natalie said James doesn’t have to. Natalie let James know that Nicole already started scheming and plotting. As for Zakiyah, Natalie said she has Paulie who is Paul’s best friend. Natalie expects to go on the block. She worried that she will keep going up. James pointed out that Nicole has not been up yet and she only won HoH because she was given it. He added that all she did was it was take out Jozea. James said a 5th grader could have done that. Nicole joined them. She said that she had better not get voted out if she goes up. Natalie said everyone likes Nicole. Nicole said people flip. Natalie assured her that she has nothing to worry about. Natalie said Nicole is friends with everyone in the house and is closer to people than she is. Nicole said she would be doing them a huge favour if she were to go on the block. She wanted to make people agree not to nominate her or target her during the double eviction in exchange for her going up as the pawn this week. Nicole then went to Corey to tell him about that plan. She said she doesn’t want to go up but she thinks it will come down to that. After Paul got his HoH room, Nicole asked James if he would vote to keep her over Bridgette and Da’Vonne. James said yeah. Nicole figured that she would then have the votes with James, Natalie, Corey, Paulie and Paul on her side. However, Corey and Nicole wanted to talk to Paul in hope of getting him to nominate Bridgette and Da’Vonne next to each other. Nicole said she could then go up if the veto is used. Corey and James agreed that either Bridgette or Da’Vonne is likely to leave this week. James said they could always go back to drawing Skittles to see who goes up. Up in the HoH room, Paul told Victor that his goal is to send Bridgette home. Paul said someone like Da’Vonne could go up if Bridgette wins the veto. James and Nicole joined them. Paul said he wants Bridgette to go. Nicole said she wants a Plan B before considering going up. Paul said they are all thinking Da’Vonne. Nicole, James and Victor said they are fine with that. Nicole then said if Paul thinks she is strong, she is fine with going up. Paul said that’s a solid answer. James argued that Natalie is not a strong competitor who can win the veto for them.
1:00-2:00 AM: After Nicole left, Paul asked Zakiyah if she would be comfortable going up as a pawn to compete in the veto competition. Zakiyah said hell no. Downstairs, Nicole asked James if people talked about voting her out after she left the HoH room. James said no. Nicole said she is so stressed and she did not like the smirk on Da’Vonne’s face. Nicole approached to ask if she will keep her if Bridgette comes off of the block. Michelle said yeah. Da’Vonne questioned if Nicole is not going to ask her too. Nicole said she doesn’t even know if she is offering to go up yet. Up in the HoH room, Paulie told Paul that Derrick mentioned getting girls out if they got to close to your boy. He said they have to clip Nicole for that reason but Da’Vonne has got to go first. Paul said Bridgette will be going if he has anything to say about it. Paulie said Da’Vonne is the one person that could stir things up the way that Frank did. Back down in the bedroom, Corey and Nicole discussed that they are both willing to go up. However, Nicole was upset that Natalie would make it further than her. Michelle said Natalie isn’t capable of winning something in order to get revenge. Nicole agreed. Michelle suggested they all tell Paul that they want Natalie nominated. Nicole headed upstairs and said that they all want Natalie nominated. Paul said he needs a competitor on the block. Natalie joined them. Paul assured her that she is not going up. After Natalie left, Nicole asked for reassurance that Da’Vonne will go up if the veto is used. Paul confirmed that she would. Nicole mentioned that Michelle will be upset because she wants Natalie nominated. Paul said he is fine with nominating her if everyone wants that. Nicole said she doesn’t want to do that to Paul. She asked if Paul will use the veto on her. He said that he would.
2:00-3:00 AM: Paul and Nicole continued to go back and forth as to whether or not Natalie should go up. Paul said he would prefer to have Nicole competing with him. Nicole said she will do it then. Not long after, as the back and forth continued, Paulie offered to go on the block. He said he is not going to panic. Nicole said she doesn’t panic either. Corey too then offered to go up. The plan was for Paulie to go up. Paul clarified that he wants Bridgette to be the target. Paul said he will use the veto on Paulie if he wins it. He admitted that it is out of his hands in terms of who goes home if Da’Vonne does end up next to Bridgette, but he wants Bridgette to go. Paulie said he will vote Bridgette out if that’s what Paul wants.
