Big Brother 18 Day 46 - Paulie wins the Power of Veto

July 30, 2016

8:00-9:00 AM: The have-not reveal took place. The four houseguests with the lowest scores in the HoH competition were told that they would be this week’s have-nots. Corey, Natalie, Paulie and Zakiyah had the lowest scores. However, Natalie received the never-not pass care package. Corey, Paulie and Zakiyah will be the have-nots. In addition to slop, they can enjoy trail mix and marshmallows.

9:00-10:00 AM: Players were picked for the veto competition. The veto players are Paul, Bridgette, Paulie, Corey, Natalie and Victor. Nicole is hosting. James wondered why Paulie picked Victor to play instead of him. He said he could have played in order to help lock up the veto. James told Natalie that she needs to make a deal if she wins the veto and people want her to use it on Paulie. She said Natalie needs to say she cannot be nominated or backdoored next week. Natalie asked what about James. He told her that he can take care of himself. James mentioned the possibility of it being the veto competition with $5,000 and a trip up for grabs. Natalie originally thought that she should take the veto. She asked James if there is any chance that she would leave over Bridgette. James said no. Natalie then started to consider that she should take a prize. She worried that it could be a smaller seven person jury though. Corey, Nicole and Paulie spoke in the bedroom. Paulie said Paul wants Bridgette out but he trusts him if he thinks that Paulie needs to go. Nicole said she is really happy that she told Paul about Da’Vonne saying she doesn’t trust him. Nicole said Michelle and Zakiyah are denying that Da’Vonne has ever brought her name up to them. Paulie said that’s a lie. Paulie claimed that he may nominate Michelle and Zakiyah if he wins HoH next week. He pointed out that Cody was the one that nominated Brittany to send her home. He said sometimes you have to be the one to make moves like that. Paulie said he has reason to nominate Zakiyah. Nicole agreed, saying he has good reason. Paulie feels that Zakiyah messes up how he can play the game.

10:00-11:00 AM: Paulie told Corey and Nicole about his conversation with Zakiyah last night. Paulie took offense to her saying that all professional athletes are cheaters. He also didn’t like a comment she had made about student athletes. Nicole said she was once super close with Zakiyah and was able to talk to her about game, but now all Zakiyah will talk about is Paulie. Nicole said she can’t do it. Nicole told Paulie that Zakiyah is really in to him. Paulie said that’s fine but she doesn’t have to act this way. Paulie said it was drama central last night and he is done with it. Paulie brought up that Zakiyah said she has no one, feels alone, and Paulie is the only one she trusts. Nicole questioned why Zakiyah feels like she doesn’t have her back. Paulie said he wanted to tell her that she is sounding like Tiffany. Nicole worried that Paulie would make Zakiyah so mad that she would come after him. Paulie said he will put certain targets aside in order to handle Zakiyah. Nicole said that wouldn’t make sense since Zakiyah is on their side right now. Paulie asked if she really is. Paulie then went back to talking about getting Da’Vonne out this week. After Nicole said Zakiyah doesn’t want the target to stray from Bridgette, Paulie said that’s because she is trying to protect Da’Vonne. Paulie said Da’Vonne spins webs and is trying to align with Michelle, James and Natalie. Paulie claimed that he is going to cut that off this week. Nicole said she would be happy if Da’Vonne were to leave, but she worried that Da’Vonne would come right back. Paulie said he doesn’t care if she does.

1:00-2:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition Paulie won the Power of Veto. James told Natalie that he is expecting Da’Vonne to go on the block. James said they will know it’s a backdoor and that she is going home if she goes up. If that happens, James said he would like to know when Bridgette is going to go. Natalie said the others are wanting to work with Bridgette for a bit. James said that would mean somebody else is getting cut out of the group if so. James thought that Zakiyah, Da’Vonne, Natalie and himself may be on the outs if Bridgette and Paulie truly are working together. James figured that the only way to get Paulie out would be by backdooring him and having him sit on the block next to someone who is loved. However, James clarified that he doesn’t want Paulie out right now. Natalie asked if James is sure that Paul would backstab Da’Vonne. James said he doesn’t know but something isn’t right if Bridgette is working with Paulie. James said he would ask why they need all of these people on their team. He told Natalie that it is becoming an eight person alliance all over again. Natalie said she is doomed since she is not in an alliance. James told her that he will find some stuff out and then he will have to restructure things.

2:00-3:00 PM: Feeds returned in the middle of a conversation between James and Michelle. Michelle said she knows James is loyal. James said he is loyal as hell but needs to know who to be loyal to. Michelle said she is a good person. Michelle then said “I think we should try our hardest not to make what we think is going to happen”. James said he knows. In the storage room, Bridgette was talking to herself about how Natalie and Zakiyah are not even playing the game. Bridgette said apparently she would have done better had she not played. Da’Vonne joined her and asked what Plan B is. Bridgette said she isn’t sure yet and she is trying to figure something out. Da’Vonne encouraged her to try something and not to give up. Bridgette said she will not give up. After Da’Vonne left, Natalie joined Bridgette. Bridgette said she doesn’t want Natalie to vote her out. Natalie said she wasn’t sure who would be going up. Bridgette said she knows and she might need Natalie’s number. Bridgette then offered Natalie some advice, saying that she should offer herself up as a number rather than saying please don’t do this to me when trying to stay off of the block. Bridgette explained that she overheard the guys talking about being upset with Natalie’s campaign. Back in the have-not room, Paulie mentioned that taking Bridgette out next week would be a move that the girls would appreciate. James asked who is going this week. Paulie said Da’Vonne. James said Da’Vonne has no idea. Paulie told James that he was willing to work with Da’Vonne but she mentioned his name to James and Michelle. In the safari room, Paul told Paulie and Victor that Natalie seems to be freaking out and it’s annoying. Paul asked how funny it would be if they sent her home this week. However, he said it would be a waste of a week. Paulie said four dudes will be voting, so they can send home whichever person they decide.

3:00-4:00 PM: Feeds returned after an HoH lockdown. Zakiyah asked Michelle who is going to be put up. Michelle said she doesn’t know and she is afraid to ask. Michelle said she is hoping that Bridgette goes. Zakiyah said she is voting Bridgette out. Michelle said she is too. Zakiyah said she doesn’t care who goes up, cause she is voting her out. Zakiyah said they need to get Natalie and Victor out because they want to go after Da’Vonne. Zakiyah said that’s fine but Da’Vonne is not coming after the two of them. Michelle agreed. She also pointed out that Bridgette may be able to win HoH during the double eviction since it will be a mental one.

4:00-5:00 PM: Victor checked in with Bridgette. He told her that she will be in a good spot if Da’Vonne ends up on the block. Bridgette said Da’Vonne approached her about trying to get Nicole on the block by dropping her name and discussing how she has played a lot of people. Bridgette and Victor agreed that they want Da’Vonne to go. Victor let Bridgette know that he would not have put her up if he had won HoH. He said Paulie wouldn’t have either because they want to work with her. Victor mentioned seeing how the girls treated Bridgette, which made him realize that she would not want to work with those girls. Bridgette said she is ready to take a big swing when needed. Victor said Bridgette, Paul, Paulie and himself are strong players and they can keep the power. Bridgette told Victor that she is down for that. Victor headed to the safari room to speak to the live feeders. He said people are starting to not like Natalie, seeing that she is annoying. Victor said he wants to be the one to take her out because of what she said to him in her goodbye message. Victor figured that his mom would be sad to see his name tarnished like that. Victor brought up that Paulie is getting pissed off with Zakiyah these days, so he will put her on the block if he gets the chance to. As for Nicole, Victor said she seems to be a shady character. Victor said he would nominate Nicole. Victor said he is cool with Corey, James, Paul and Paulie. He also said that he likes Bridgette.

8:00-9:00 PM: Michelle told Zakiyah that she is hoping Victor or Natalie will go during the double eviction. She is anticipating a double eviction this week. Michelle said Victor is a big threat, he is smart and he can win competitions. Michelle doesn’t want someone with a lot of money to make it to the end. She mentioned Corey and Paul as being in that category. Michelle said she would like to see the two of them, Da’Vonne, Nicole, James and even Paulie at the end. However, she said Paulie would totally win if he makes it there. Zakiyah told Michelle that she would vote for Michelle over Paulie. Michelle said she would vote for Zakiyah because she will be voting for a girl to win. Michelle claimed that she would make a big move if she were to win HoH, though she wouldn’t go after Paulie, Corey, Zakiyah or Nicole. Michelle mentioned that Paul is getting tight withe everyone. Zakiyah said she told Paulie that Paul is someone that can win the game. Michelle said she would vote for Paul to win over Paulie. They talked about how getting Da’Vonne out would not be good for their games. They agreed that it’s not best for Paul’s game either since Da’Vonne and Paul are good. Zakiyah believes that Paul wants to be good with Da’Vonne but Paulie has been brainwashing him. In the bedroom, Corey said he really hopes Paul will nominate Da’Vonne because she will go. Paulie said he will. Corey said Paul needs to understand that Bridgette is not coming after him. Paulie said they can get Da’Vonne out this week, tag another girl next week and then they will control the votes until the Final 5. Paul told Corey he could see the two of them, James and Paul being the Final 4 if they play their cards right. Corey agreed. Paulie said the first one that he would want to take out from their side would be Michelle. Paulie feels that there are strong girls in the house this season. He thought that they would have voted a guy out if one were to have stayed on the block this week.

9:00-10:00 PM: Paulie told Zakiyah he has a good feeling that Paul is going to nominate Da’Vonne. They discussed next week’s target. Paulie was throwing Bridgette’s name out there as if she would survive this week. Zakiyah asked if they even know which way things are going to go this week, cause it sounds like Bridgette is still staying. Paulie said it will become more clear once the veto ceremony happens. Paulie said he will be voting Da’Vonne out. He thought that Paul would vote Bridgette out if it came down to a tie. Paulie said he could keep Bridgette from going after Zakiyah. Paulie said she is after Michelle. Zakiyah brought up that Paul could win the whole game. She explained that he went from being on a side with Jozea and Victor to now being in with them and loved by everyone. Paulie agreed that Paul is well liked but said it is not a popularity contest. Zakiyah told him there have been seasons where it was. Zakiyah advised Paulie not to forget how Paul was towards him in the beginning because Paul was not for him. Zakiyah also mentioned that they are letting people like James slide by. Paulie said James is laying low for now and then he will try to win competitions.

10:00-11:00 PM: James told Natalie that he plans to try to get the votes to flip this week. Natalie asked who he is going to try to flip them against. James said Bridgette. Natalie said Bridgette wouldn’t go after James. He said Bridgette might not go after Natalie but he doesn’t trust that she would not nominate him. Outside, Da’Vonne told Michelle that she wishes she would have won HoH this week because it is an easy week where you will get no blood on your hands. Michelle said she wishes that she had won too.

12:00-1:00 AM: Out on the hammock, Zakiyah spoke to Paul. Zakiyah said she wants Bridgette to go. Paul said so does he and that is his goal. Zakiyah said she knows Paulie wants Paul to put up Da’Vonne but he thought everybody’s goal was the same. Paul said he did his job and he doesn’t know. He mentioned that Da’Vonne volunteered to go up. Paul said he knows that Bridgette is going home. Zakiyah said she knows that Da’Vonne really cares about Paul. Paul said he loves Da’Vonne and has no problems with her, which is why he knows that she would not get paranoid if he were to put her on the block. Zakiyah said her goal for next week is to get Victor out. Paul said he wants to take a two to three week break after this. He told Zakiyah to let him know if she needs him as a pawn, but he doesn’t want it to be next week. Zakiyah said she doesn’t need Paul as a pawn because she would put Natalie up next to Victor. A bit later, Da’Vonne joined Paul and Zakiyah. Da’Vonne said in a perfect world it would be the three of them, Paulie, James and Michelle. Paul said he thinks so and it all just depends on what order people go in. Da’Vonne said she feels that the three of them and Paulie can make it far and then battle it out as family. She said it would be fair since there are two girls, two guys and they have all been loyal to each other. Paul discussed that his plan for this week is pretty much finished since he wants Bridgette out. Zakiyah said Natalie would be a good person to put up next to Bridgette since she is too comfortable. Da’Vonne said Victor could be a good one to keep around to go after Nicole. Zakiyah was called to the diary room. Da’Vonne pointed out that it’s getting to the point where they have to think about jury votes, so letting Victor send Nicole out would make sure that she is not mad at them. Paul said it might be a good idea to let Victor win HoH next week because he would do whatever the majority tells him to do. Paul said Bridgette’s fate is sealed and he thinks she knows that she is on her way out the door. Paul said he doesn’t even know if Paulie will pull himself down. Paul said nobody should care since Bridgette is going home no questions asked. Paul said there is no scenario in which anyone get outvoted over Bridgette. Da’Vonne headed inside to shower. Paul, Paulie and Victor spoke by the pool table. Paulie told Paul that while he was sleeping, the four girls that are apparently part of the Fatal 5 were out chatting by the hot tub. Paulie said he thinks they were going to try to take a shot at him if he didn’t win the veto. Paul asked if Paulie is positive that Da’Vonne will go if he puts her up. Paulie said she is gone. Paulie said that the four guys and Natalie will vote her out. Paul said Da’Vonne and Zakiyah were trying to get him to put up Natalie. Paulie said Zakiyah thinks she is smooth and she just had a conversation with him about getting Paul out soon. Paul said they can get Da’Vonne out this week and Zakiyah out next week. Paulie told Paul that Michelle was talking to Zakiyah and said that Paul has a good shot at winning, which is why Zakiyah said Paul has to go.
