Big Brother 18 Day 67 - Paul wins the Power of Veto

August 20, 2016

7:00-8:00 AM: The have-not reveal took place. The have-nots were chosen based on what took place at the BB County Fair. James, Michelle and Victor received a have-not chip. However, Michelle is exempt since she was named Co-HoH by America. In addition to slop, the have-nots an enjoy pies all week long.

9:00-10:00 AM: Players were picked for the veto competition. Michelle, Natalie, Paul, Victor, Corey and James will be competing. Nicole is hosting. Up in the HoH room, Natalie told Paul that she is really sorry. Paul said it’s okay since they have 5-1 odds in the veto competition. The five started studying in the HoH room, going over the clues that were played throughout the night. Elsewhere, Nicole told Corey that she must do a lot of stuff wrong to end up in this situation two seasons in a row. Nicole explained that the whole house ended up against her and Donny during her season. Nicole said James wont look her in the eye so she thinks that she is going home this week. Corey said he can’t imagine that happening. Nicole asked Corey if he is going to try to win the veto. Corey said he will but he is not going to win it because he doesn’t know anything. Nicole headed to the bathroom and said to herself that she is getting backdoored this week. She said the backdoor loves her. Nicole said she cannot keep driving Corey crazy by saying it but she is in trouble this week. In the have-not room, James asked Michelle if Paul and Victor will nominate Nicole next week. Michelle said they will nominate her as well since she offered to be a pawn. James said that’s the plan then. He told Michelle that they will have to win the veto in order to lock nominations in and then they can send Nicole home.

12:00-1:00 PM: Natalie told James that she is frustrated about how Paul and Victor took over her HoH room and wouldn’t leave. She said that she needs sleep. Natalie said all she wants is for Victor to win the veto. James said he is thinking that he may send Paul home even if Corey goes up. Natalie said she still wants Corey out. Natalie worried that Victor would go if the nominations were to stay the same. She said the way that Paul is behaving is not okay. She didn’t like how he is telling people that she will use the veto on him. Natalie admitted that she keeps changing her mind about who she wants to leave this week. James said Corey did some things but he has never schemed at him. Natalie said Paul will control Victor if he stays in the game. James agreed, saying that’s why he told her that she made a good strategic move. Natalie said Paul cannot win the veto. James told her that it would end up sending Victor home if he does. Natalie mentioned that Corey is not a social threat, while Paul was able to control the room last night and make them all study when she is the one who is HoH. James said he doesn’t think that they would be upset about Paul going because what they are really upset about is blindsiding Victor by making this move. Natalie said her gut told her to get Paul and Corey out. James said he will stand behind her and vote Corey out if everyone is wanting to get rid of Corey. Natalie said Corey or Nicole will come after them if one of them leaves after they said that they wouldn’t. James agreed. James said he doesn’t think that those two will come after them if they keep them safe this week. James also said that Victor will not come after them even if Paul leaves, because Victor knows that Corey and Nicole will want him out.

1:00-2:00 PM: James and Natalie continued to discuss their options for the week. They agreed that Victor will want to work with them even if they send Paul out this week. James said he thinks that either Paul or Victor has to go this week, though he will vote Corey out if that’s what Natalie wants. Natalie asked if Nicole can really win next week if she is competing against James, Paul and Victor. James said Michelle would be willing to go up as a pawn next to Nicole, so they could be safe for another week if they go that route as well. Natalie told James that it is not in his best interest to win next week. James agreed. James and Natalie agreed that both sides can be trusted. However, James said the two of them and Michelle have a good chance of winning HoH against one person but not necessarily against both Paul and Victor. James told Natalie he will have her back and do whatever she wants this week. James said Paul is playing really hard. Natalie said she wants Corey gone too. James told her that he will be able to get Corey out since he can beat him in HoH competitions. James added that he would feel a lot better if Paul or Victor were to go. Natalie said it weakens that group and she was thinking the same thing. They talked about how Paul and Victor would always take each other. James said Victor would have to take someone else if Paul is gone. He figured that it would be Michelle or Natalie since Victor would take a shot at him first. James encouraged Natalie to go with her gut. She said her gut is telling her to go after Paul and then Corey. Natalie said Paul needs to go because all she has is her social game and Paul’s social game is stronger. Natalie also believes that Paul could influence Michelle but Corey and Nicole will not be able to. They agreed that the worst case scenario would be Paul winning the veto. If Natalie wins, they talked about having her use it on Victor and then James and Nicole could vote Paul out.

2:00-3:00 PM: Natalie told James that she is being very indecisive and she needs to stick to her guns. Natalie said she has a feeling that Corey will win the veto because he is smart. James asked if she wants Corey to win. Natalie said she wouldn’t mind it since he will keep the nominations the same. Natalie prefers to see Corey, Victor or Michelle win. If Michelle wins and saves Victor, Natalie said she would then be free to choose a replacement nominee. Natalie told James not to try to win the veto. Natalie said she really hopes that Corey and Nicole are not coming after them. James said he doesn’t think that they are but if it comes back to bite them in the butt, he will tell them to put him up and leave Natalie out of it. Natalie circled back to Nicole mentioning that Paul told Paulie that James is after Corey and Nicole. Natalie said it’s so hard to make that up.

7:00-8:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Paul won the Power of Veto. Paul thanked James, Michelle and Natalie for staying up with him and studying. He said they can now fix this situation and kill it. Natalie said it’s a perfect backdoor. After Paul left, Natalie told James it is what it is and it will give them two more weeks, implying that they will have to stick with their group of five. James thought about talking to Michelle about taking Victor out since they may not get another shot at him. James pointed out that Paul will nominate Corey and Nicole and Corey and Nicole will nominate Paul. In the bedroom, Paul told Victor that they will be putting James and Natalie when they win HoH next week. Victor agreed. Paul said they have to sell them on the idea that they are sticking to the five cause he is screwed if Victor goes this week. Paul headed back up to the HoH room. Michelle said she would prefer to get Nicole out this week. James said to put her up then. Michelle asked if they will vote her out. Paul argued that Corey should go since he has a shot at winning the care package next week and he is the better competitor. Natalie told James that Michelle needs to know that she can trust them. She mentioned that this is Michelle’s HoH too and she wants Nicole out. Natalie thinks that Corey would work with them even if Nicole goes. James asked if they should just take Nicole out then. Natalie said she is trying to look at it from the other perspective, but it would be pointless to take Nicole out. James said Michelle wants Nicole out for personal reasons. James said he has to do what is best for his game and for Natalie’s game, not for everyone’s game. Natalie said it’s now or never when it comes to getting Victor out. James said he is a huge threat.

8:00-9:00 PM:Natalie told James that Paul and Victor will be controlling the house if Corey leaves. Natalie said they have to take Victor out or else they will be screwed. Natalie believes that Corey and Nicole will not nominate her or James. She said Corey will owe them his life because they are about to save him. Natalie said they will have a fair shot if they get to the Final 4 with Corey and Nicole. James said he will tell them that they want a Final 4. Natalie said not to because she wants Michelle to get far too. James said he does too. Natalie said she doesn’t want Victor to leave but Paul will run the house if he stays. Natalie brought up that they are taking a big risk that Corey and Nicole are not going to come after them when they told Paul a bunch of things and he came after them. However, Natalie said she would rather get a huge threat out of the house. She said that she is not wasting this HoH on Nicole. James said he will nominate Corey and Paul if he wins HoH next week. He said would prefer to split up Corey and Nicole. James told Natalie that he is trying to make the two of them the last couple. Natalie asked James if he is sure that taking Victor out is the best move. James said 1000% yes. The two headed down to the kitchen where Corey and Nicole were. Nicole said she would not put them up at all. Corey said they can do this thing. Nicole told them that she will gladly tell Paul to put her up if he wins HoH, since it’s clear that she is after him anyway. Nicole said Paul and Victor are the smartest and most physical players in the game. The two headed back upstairs. James told Natalie that Corey and Nicole seem pretty genuine, even saying that they will offer to go up if Paul wins HoH.

9:00-10:00 PM: James said he will try to win HoH next week if he can, but he will not be upset if he doesn’t win. Natalie said James needs to win if he can. She told him not to be throwing competitions when he can save them for another week. James thinks that Corey would nominate Paul and Michelle. James said he will not put 1000% of his trust in Corey and Nicole but he is going to take a chance on them. James said it’s all about game moves at this point and they have to go hard. Natalie brought up that Michelle really wants Nicole out. James said he will talk to her about it eventually, saying it’s a game move to take Victor out. Natalie told James that they need to keep their mouths shut until after the veto ceremony so that James doesn’t get nominated. Natalie asked James to pretend that she didn’t know that James would vote Victor out. James said he can do that. Natalie asked James to check in with Paul because he is paranoid. James did that, telling Paul that it will be a slam dunk week. He said Corey or Nicole will go up on the block and then they will vote them out. Paul brought up how Nicole had nothing to say when he called her out last night, including no mention of him saying that he was coming after James. Paul asked James to come to him if he has any questions or is doubting him. James said he would. He again told Paul that it will be an easy week. Paul said it should be an easy two weeks.

10:00-11:00 PM: James asked Michelle if she knows who she is going to nominate. Michelle said she will go with what the group wants and nominate Corey even though Nicole is the bigger threat to her game. Michelle thinks that Nicole would nominate her but Corey would not. James and Paul weren’t so sure about that. Michelle said it is what it is and she will take sixth place if it comes down to it. Michelle told the guys that they are underestimating Nicole. She said that she will hate them if Nicole is the one who takes her out. James told Michelle that they will vote Nicole out if she nominates her. Both James and Paul said it is Michelle’s HoH and she can do what she wants, though Paul said the better move in his opinion is to get Corey out. Paul explained that Nicole’s fans could send Corey the care package if he stays.
