Big Brother 18 Day 81 - Corey wins the Power of Veto
September 3, 2016
9:00-10:00 AM: Natalie told James that she is fired up and she is ready to tear things up again in this game. However, if she walks out the doors, Natalie said that she will do so with pride. James said he wants Natalie to mentally prepare herself. Natalie said for leaving. James said for him leaving. Natalie told James that he is going to win the veto, meaning that she will be the one to go. Up in the HoH room, Paul spoke to the live feeders. He mentioned that he and Victor are working closely with Corey and Nicole. Paul said they are good people and it’s very likely that they will actually make it to the Final 4 with the two of them.
10:00-11:00 AM: Natalie told Paul and Victor that if this is her last week, she wants to say that she is really sorry. She apologized for backstabbing them. Natalie said she put her trust in the wrong hands because she really trusted James and his opinions. Paul said he appreciates the apology. Victor said it’s just a game. Natalie said sometimes you let the wrong people influence you and then you betray the people who had your back. Natalie told Paul and Victor that she really hopes they make it far. She let them know that they have her vote. She pointed out that they have been underdogs since Day 1. Natalie said she is not giving up but she can acknowledge her mistakes and move forward from them. Natalie told them that even if James goes home, it is what it is. She said she is proud of Paul and Victor as her friends. Natalie thanked the guys for having her back when no one else did. She said that they will hopefully be friends after this. Both Paul and Victor said that they will be. After Natalie left, Paul said Natalie jumped ship just like he said she would, though he expected that she would at least have waited until after the veto competition. Paul mentioned that they can asked Natalie who they think she can make it farther with if she does end up winning HoH next week. Corey and Nicole headed up to the HoH room. Paul and Victor told them that Natalie threw James under the bus. Nicole said she is going to try because she feels bad. Corey said they should evict Natalie. Paul and Victor were not on board with that. Paul said they can win the competition next week and send Natalie home. Nicole said she will be so angry if Natalie pulls out a bunch of competition wins now. Paul said Natalie will try to latch on to him and to Victor, but he doesn’t want Corey and Nicole to get worried. Downstairs, Natalie told James about her talk with Paul and Victor. She said she thinks that they understood what she was saying. Natalie saw Corey and Nicole go upstairs as soon as she came down. She told James that they are patrolling the HoH room and they need to calm down. Natalie said she hopes that Paul and Victor are not upstairs making fun of her and telling Corey and Nicole what she said. James didn’t think that Victor would do that. They weren’t sure about Paul. Natalie said the bond of the other four is sealed and the only way for one of them to stay is to win the next HoH competition. Natalie told James that they had the perfect group but they messed it up. She said it was almost too good to be true. James said they probably wouldn’t even be having this discussion had Victor not returned, because Corey and Nicole would have been loyal then. After Corey and Nicole left the HoH room, Paul told Victor that there is a reason he didn’t say certain things. He explained that it is good if Natalie latches on to them. Victor agreed. Paul said one of them needs to convince Natalie that they would take her to the Final 2, as opposed to the couple that will never split up. Victor said they can use Natalie to do their dirty work. Paul said if they need. Paul and Victor agreed that they would prefer for that not to have to happen. Paul and Victor said they want to distance themselves from Natalie if she gets any type of power, so it doesn’t seem as though they are influencing her.
11:00-12:00 PM: James told Natalie that his mind is made up and he is going home this week. James said the veto will be going Natalie’s way if he wins it. Natalie told James that she is not letting him use the veto on her. James said he is going to make the situation right. He told Natalie that he will have other opportunities in life, potentially getting on Survivor or The Amazing Race, but it wasn’t in the cards for him to win this season. James said he played the game up until the point where he and the wrong decision and Natalie had to be the one to pay for it. James said he will be ecstatic if the both of them lose the veto, because he will then be the one leaving. James told Natalie that he wants to mess with Corey and Nicole. He said he will ask what they did with the $5,000, in order to see what they say and at least make them lie to him. James said he wants to catch them in as many lies as possible. He told Natalie that he will put them in some tough spots, asking if they have a Final 4 with Paul and Victor. Natalie said she wants to call Nicole and Corey out, saying that they told them to nominate Paul and Victor when they had a Final 4 together. James added that he jumped off of the wall for Nicole so that she could be safe and get a letter from her mom. James said he wants to call them out on national television. He said Nicole has been getting called out all season, so he may as well do it again. Natalie said James doesn’t know that he is going home, because he still has the veto competition and Corey and Nicole don’t like her. Natalie said she would love for James to call Corey and Nicole out, though she wants him to do it in his own way and not in a Michelle way. She told him to pull on the heart strings. James said he will call them out.
12:00-1:00 PM: James told Natalie that Corey and Nicole can make it all the way to the end, but you know who will be getting the votes if they are up against Paul or Victor. He said he cannot see those two getting any votes against Paul and Victor aside from Paulie’s and Zakiyah’s. Natalie said her nomination speech is going to be beautiful if she stays and wins HoH. James told Natalie not to be sad if she doesn’t win the veto, because she is still staying. Natalie said he doesn’t know that. James mentioned that he can’t even say anything about Corey and Nicole in his speech, seeing as he has lied and backstabbed. Natalie pointed out that he didn’t do it to them. James said that’s true. Natalie said not to call them out if he doesn’t want to. Natalie thinks that Corey and Nicole are loyal to James over her. James said they are loyal to their group first, so they will vote him out. James let Natalie know that he plans to use the veto on her. Natalie told him not to. James said Natalie has a better shot at winning. Natalie said he doesn’t know that.
1:00-2:00 PM: Natalie told James to go out with a great speech, leaving with pride and honour. She said not to go after Corey and Nicole in it. She said he needs to take the high road, because that is how he is and why she likes him so much. Natalie told James that Nicole has been called out enough this summer.
2:00-3:00 PM: Big Brother called Paul to the diary room. He said he hasn’t done anything today. He asked if they are going to ask him about his medieval conversation, because they were discussing medieval times. In the other room, Natalie told James that Paul asked if they are going to ask him about his meaningful conversation. She thought that he may be mocking the conversation that she had with him, saying it wasn’t meaningful. Once Paul returned, he said it was gratifying to get all of that crap out. Natalie was again listening in the other room. She told James that she apologized to him and then he craps on her for it. Natalie said her heart is really hurting. She explained that Paul says stuff about every single person yet he can’t handle when anyone does it back to him. Later, in the kitchen, Paul asked James and Natalie if they were sleeping. James said no and told Paul that they heard him when he came out of the diary room. Paul went up stairs and told Victor that he is pretty sure James and Natalie overheard him. Natalie told James not to say anything. James said he was about to. He figured that’s why Paul asked if they were sleeping. Natalie said she was too nice for too long, but she is going to attack when you mess with her kindness. Natalie said she plans to keep it real now, rather than being cordial.
3:00-4:00 PM: James told Natalie that he wants to win the veto so that he can mess with them. Natalie said she hopes he wins it and takes himself down. James said he wants to win, talk crap and say he is coming after them all, then use it on Natalie. After the incident with Paul, Natalie changed her mind about nominating Corey and Nicole. She said that she will now nominate Nicole and Paul if she stays and wins HoH. James said he would do the same, picking one from each side.
9:00-10:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Corey won the Power of Veto. Up in the HoH room, Corey, Nicole, Paul and Victor celebrated the win. Natalie did well in the competition. Nicole looked to use that to make her the target. Corey jumped on board. Paul and Victor weren’t as open to the idea initially, though Paul said they will need to think of which competition could be coming up before deciding. Nicole said Michelle told her that Natalie is a lot smarter than they know. Nicole brought up that Natalie was so happy when James’ water was pouring out during the competition and he was not doing well. Corey said he will not be using the veto, so they have plenty of time to decide which way to vote. Downstairs in the bedroom, James told Natalie that his fate is sealed. He congratulated Natalie on making it to the Final 5. Natalie said he doesn’t know that. James said he does. In the kitchen, Paul said the past has shown that James blows it in competitions. Victor said he will think about it. Paul said he would be way more pissed if Natalie were to win a competition and mess things up. Nicole said she would be pissed if Natalie got rid of her.
10:00-11:00 PM: Paul asked what kind of competitions James is good at. Nicole said he is good at endurance competitions but Natalie is better at them. Paul said he thinks so too. Victor said James is smarter than Natalie. Nicole disagreed. Nicole said she will do whatever, but Michelle said Natalie is smarter than they think. She also said Natalie always brags about how dumb she is. Paul wondered why Natalie would keep telling them that. Nicole asked when James has ever come close in any competitions. Paul said he has been throwing a lot. Paul said they both suck and he doesn’t like either of their attitudes. Paul told Nicole he thinks that Natalie would keep her around because she think she can beat her. Nicole agreed. Either way, Nicole said it will be three against one next week, meaning that they just have to win two competitions. Paul pointed out that Natalie was close to winning the HoH competition and the veto competition. Paul said he gets it that Victor wants the satisfaction of sending James home, so they can do that if he wants. Paul asked if Victor would rather face James or Natalie. Victor said Natalie. However, Victor said they can pull the trigger on Natalie. He made it clear that he will be livid if James then takes him out. Paul suggested that they make it seem like James is going and then blindside him. Elsewhere, Natalie told James she is excited to go to jury. James said she is not going anywhere. Natalie said she is, because she is going to campaign against herself. Back up in the HoH room, Paul told Victor that Natalie would nominate Victor next to Corey. Victor said he is going up no matter who stays. Paul said Natalie would never put Nicole up. Paul added that James would nominate the two of them. Victor mentioned that James will think Corey and Nicole were the reason he stayed, since they would have two votes. Victor said that’s the reason he doesn’t want to keep James. Victor said they can get Natalie out. He said it will make Corey and Nicole comfortable, which they need since they are competing for them next week. They discussed that Corey would understand if they cut him for Nicole down the line, since even he would say they would be stupid not to bring Nicole to the end.
11:00-12:00 AM: Corey told Nicole that they need to get back on good terms with James. Corey said there is no reason not to be. He said James would hopefully not put them up, because there is no reason for him to. Nicole said she is going to be so pumped if they can get Natalie out this week, seeing as it’s so good for her game. Corey assured her that it’s happening. He said they will be voting Natalie out. Corey told Nicole that he doesn’t care what Victor says.
12:00-1:00 AM: James told Corey that whatever happens happens. He said he is not going to twist arms and get involved with the he said she said. Corey told James to just let it play out. James said he is thinking that he is going home cause he is the target. Corey said we’ll see. James said don’t do that. He explained that he feels bad. James told Corey that he has already mentally checked out. James told Corey that they had better not do anything crazy. Corey said he isn’t doing anything but sticking to his guns. James said he was going to ask them to vote him out. James mentioned that he voted Victor out when Natalie told him not to. Corey told James not to let it get to him. Corey said they will do what they think is best for the game. James said he feels responsible for Natalie. Corey said he shouldn’t.
1:00-2:00 AM: James told Natalie that when he talked to Corey, he gave him the strength and honour thing. James said that was weird and made him wonder why he did that. James asked if Natalie thinks Corey and Nicole would try to flip the votes on Victor. Natalie said she can see that happening. Natalie told James that she doesn’t care because she is ready to go to jury. Natalie said it’s a smart move for Corey and Nicole since James would end up working with them. James agreed. Natalie said she feels it in her gut that she is going home, but she is okay with it. James asked why Victor would say that he is his target. Natalie said Corey and Nicole want James to stay, seeing as they expect James to nominate Paul and Victor. Natalie told James not to talk to her ever again if he sticks with Corey and Nicole if he stays. James said that’s really mean to say. Natalie said they are the reason why the two of them are on the block and why she is going home. Natalie said it’s James’ game but she will not talk to him if he works with them.
2:00-3:00 AM: Natalie backtracked on her earlier comment and told James to work with whoever he wants. Natalie said Corey and Nicole are going to use him to get to the top. James said he will be stuck in the middle. James said he could return the favour, putting Corey and Nicole on the block. He then said he could put one up from each side. Natalie said that’s what she was going to do. Natalie explained that it would be detrimental to Nicole and Corey’s game to keep her when they know that she apologized to Paul and Victor. Natalie told James that if Victor can’t play for HoH and James keeps him and Paul safe, they will be loyal to him. Natalie pointed out that she followed James into the dark, trust Corey and Nicole, then now she is going to go home for it. Natalie asked if he is going to work with those people. James said what Natalie told him about never talking to him again was really mean. Natalie apologized. James told Natalie that he would never say that to her. Natalie said she made the comment out of frustration because she would prefer that he doesn’t work with Corey and Nicole, but she will not stop talking to him. Natalie thought that everyone may be aware of the plan to target her, seeing as Paul would want her to go too. Natalie figured that they want her out and are pitching that she is the bigger competition threat. Natalie told James that Nicole would now get her jury vote over Paul, because of how he was talking crap after she made a sincere apology to him.
