Big Brother 18 Day 87 - Paul and Victor are nominated
September 9, 2016
10:00-11:00 AM: Nicole told Corey that once she doesn’t see her face pop up for nominations, she disappears for the week and looks to find Corey. Nicole wondered how Michelle did not put her up initially or as the replacement nominee. Corey said people are not smart. He asked why Victor would not have nominated him next to James last week when Natalie was on their side. Nicole said it’s because Victor is loyal, which is what makes her feel bad. Corey said he will have to say that he has been loyal to James. Nicole suggested mentioning the Final 4 in his speech so that they cannot run to James about it. Corey joked about putting Nicole on the block. Nicole said anybody would be an idiot to nominate her right now, because anybody can beat her in the Final 2 right now. Corey went over his speech. He said he has to put Paul and Victor up together or else they could pull each other down and then Nicole would have to go up and she might go home. Next, Victor said it himself that anyone sitting next to him in the Final 2 will lose. Corey said he wants to win $500,000. He then said that he does not want Nicole to have to play against both Paul and Victor in the HoH competition. Nicole asked if he will say anything about James. Corey mentioned that James kept him in the house and has had his back, so he cannot put him up. Finally, Corey said Paul and Victor are the best couple in the house. Corey said he could keep going if he wanted to. He brought up how he would be crazy not to make this move. He later said he would expect Paul and Victor to make the same move if they were in power.
12:00-1:00 PM: Up in the HoH room, Nicole told Corey she thinks that Paul and Victor know that they are both going up because they did not ask which of them is going up. Corey said Paul asked last night. Nicole said she is scared. Corey said she is a big baby. Nicole told Corey that she doesn’t like to hurt people’s feelings. Corey pointed out that they would be hurting James’ feelings if they were to put him up. Nicole said she will support Corey in whatever he needs to do. She said it’s a breakup and you don’t want to go through with it because it’s easier to just not deal with it. Nicole told Corey she is lucky that it’s not her having to make this move, because she would chicken out. She then took it back and said she wouldn’t chicken out but they are tugging on her heart strings. Nicole said this is the first time in this game that she feels like she is betraying somebody. Corey explained that she would either have to betray James or betray Paul and Victor. Nicole said James hurt her feelings more than Paul and Victor ever did, since he threw her to the wolves on double eviction night. Corey said it was a good move by James. Nicole clarified that she is not saying James should go up, but it’s easier for her to put someone up when they have done her wrong like James has. Nicole said the only reason James is going to be loyal to them is because Natalie is gone. Corey asked over and over again what Nicole’s end game is with all of this. Nicole said she wants Corey to make her not feel bad. Once Corey left the room, Nicole spoke to the live feeders. Nicole said she is very nervous and scared because Paul and Victor are going to want to bang pots and pans and be aggressive and say things about betrayal. Nicole said it’s fine because it’s the right decision and she does not want James to go on the block. Nicole called James one of her favourite people on the planet. Nicole said he has one of the best hearts ever, so she does not want him to go up. Nicole didn’t want to be uncomfortable putting two alliances members up, though she said it’s the move that has to be done and she would have done it had she won HoH. Nicole explained that when someone hurts her, it stays there. She said James hurt her on double eviction night and the fact that James didn’t care hurt her feelings. Nicole thinks it was not smart of Paul and Victor to get rid of Natalie when she was on their side.
2:00-3:00 PM: James spoke to the live feeders about how he really misses his best friend Natalie. James asked all of the Natalie fans out there to support her, because this was a really tough journey for her. James said he is about 90% sure that he will be in the Final 4. James mentioned that he has got to start winning competitions. James explained that it’s not always best to be a competition beast. He noted that Victor has already been evicted twice and now he is the target again this week. James discussed feeling like a dead man walking last week, expecting to go home because Victor told everyone that he wanted him gone. However, James said the 3-0 vote made it clear that they wanted him to stay. James admitted to losing a bit of focus due to his showmance, though he thought that his social game was strong enough that he was able to take some breaks in the game. James said he has been working with Corey and Nicole since Day 1, so hopefully it will pay off this week. He told the viewers he can almost guarantee that Paul and Victor will be going on the block today.
3:00-4:00 PM: Paul asked Corey if he knows who is putting up yet, between him and Victor. Corey said he doesn’t know. Paul said if Victor is going to be that upset about going up, he is willing to go up instead and get his sixth nomination out of the way. Paul pointed out that he will end up on the block anyway if something happens, referring to James winning the veto.
4:00-5:00 PM: Victor told Paul that they have to lock up the veto. He said it would be ideal to have whichever one of them is not on the block win the veto, then they can both be safe. He said it would be good to get Nicole on the block to rattle her cage a bit, even though he wouldn’t send her home. Paul said he would do some digging to see if Corey and Nicole tried to go behind their backs. If they were being sneaky, Paul said he is willing to be sneaky too. He pointed out James would be easier to beat than Nicole in a mental competition. Victor agreed. Victor said he doesn’t think that they are being sneaky, because it wouldn’t make sense. Victor thinks that Corey and Nicole will not want the tension that would come along with nominating the two of them, especially when Corey cannot compete next week. Victor said they will stick to what they said if they want a stress free week. Up in the HoH room, Nicole asked Corey if he is ready for this. Corey said he is. He told her it sucks but you have got to do what you have got to do. Corey asked if Nicole is freaking out yet. Nicole said not yet but she will be. Corey said Nicole stresses him out more than making the actual move does. Back down in the safari room, Victor said getting screwed over is part of the game, but he will call Corey and Nicole out if they make that move. Victor said he feels like their alliance is more than just an alliance in the game. He said it is a friendship and he would not do that to Corey and Nicole. Victor thinks that Corey and Nicole do not have a reason to turn on them this week. Victor admitted that his downfall has been trusting people, so he could always be wrong. Victor let Paul know that he plans to stir the pot if they are nominated together. Paul told Victor that they will have to talk to Corey and Nicole if they go up. Victor said he will not even entertain the conversation. Paul figured that they would at least give them a heads up ahead of time. He told Victor that he will have to swallow his pride and talk to them if not. Victor said he doesn’t have to do anything and he will not entertain the conversation. Victor explained that they would not have made the move against Corey and Nicole had Paul won this week, nor did they make that move last week.
5:00-6:00 PM: Feeds returned following the nomination ceremony. Corey nominated Paul and Victor for eviction. Up in the HoH room, James told Corey that he appreciates it. Nicole told James that he better not use the veto. James said he wont. Corey said they need to win the veto and then make it to the Final 3 together. Downstairs, Victor told Paul that he will not be as friendly anymore. Paul said he wont be friendly to James. Paul told Victor that this move was made because Corey and Nicole are scared and know that the two of them are the best players in the game.
6:00-7:00 PM: Victor pointed out to Paul that everyone is upstairs. Paul said the tables have turned. Victor said whoever stays is just going to team up with James to go against Corey and Nicole. Paul blamed James for getting them on the block, saying he got the last word in. Victor mentioned how they kept Corey and Nicole in the game even though they are stronger competitors than James and Natalie. Victor said their downfall is always trusting people. Victor expects to be the one to go if the nominations remain the same at the end of the week. Paul said it’s James that he doesn’t have respect for. Victor asked why. He pointed out that James is alone and he had to do what he could to save himself. Paul said that’s true. Paul told Victor that the move was inevitable at this point. Victor disagreed, saying he would not have done that to Corey and Nicole. Victor said they had better pray that he or Paul don’t win the next HoH competition. Victor explained that he is not mad about being on the block, but he is mad that Corey and Nicole are the ones to do it to them. Paul said they need to get Corey or Nicole out next if they want to have a shot at making the Final 3. Victor said he doesn’t want James going anywhere at this point. Victor let Paul know that he would team up with James and bring him to the end if he stays. Paul thought he could still salvage the situation and talk them into voting James out. Victor disagreed. He suggested that Paul work on James in case he wins the veto, because Nicole would be forced on the block if James uses the veto on one of them. Paul said Victor is high if he thinks that James would rather go up against them than Corey and Nicole. Paul headed up to the HoH room. He explained that Victor is way too emotional to talk right now. Paul said Victor is sad and claiming that he would not have done that to them. Corey said it’s different for Victor since he could get away with going to Final 4 with them because he is so good at competitions. Corey said he would be screwed if Nicole has to compete against Paul and Victor for HoH. He also did not want to risk Nicole going home during his HoH reign. Corey said it was not an easy move at all, but they are not good for his game. Paul asked if Corey’s ideal scenario is to win the veto and keep the nominations the same. Corey said yeah and hinted that Victor would be the one to go. Paul said Victor knows that as well.
7:00-8:00 PM: Corey called Victor up to the HoH room. He explained the same things that he explained to Paul previously. Victor said he gets where Corey is coming from but he would have nominated James. Now, Victor said whoever makes it through this week is going to team up with James and do the same thing that he and Paul would have done had they stayed and James gone this week. Victor let Corey and Nicole know that he cannot see them as friends in the house right now, because he would not have done this to them. Victor said he will be gunning hard if he stays in the house. He added that he will be relentless and ruthless. Victor swore to God that he would not have sent Nicole home had she ended up on the block next to James this week. Victor said he probably should have sent Corey or Nicole home over James and Natalie, seeing as they are the stronger competitors, but he stayed true to their alliance. Corey explained that he wants to win the $500,000, so this move needed to be made. Corey claimed that he doesn’t yet have a target. Victor said he knows 100% that he will be leaving if he is still on the block next to Paul at the end of the week. Victor clarified that he is not mad about being put up, but rather that they put him up when there was a Final 4 deal in place. Victor headed downstairs. He asked James if he is ready to be his teammate if he stays. James said that will be all that they have got. Victor said James is going to have to team up with him or with Paul. Victor told James about how there was a Final 4 deal, yet Corey took a shot before the Final 4. James said welcome to Big Brother. He told Victor that it wouldn’t be Big Brother if he went through the whole season without being stabbed in the back. Victor said he would understand it more if he was stabbing people in the back too. Back up in the HoH room, Nicole told Corey that she is scared now that Victor is going to be gunning after them like crazy. Corey said he would have been either way. Nicole said she wants Victor gone ten times more now after talking to him. Corey said he hopes that James wins the veto, because he needs to contribute. Nicole expects James to throw the veto competition and the next HoH competition.
8:00-9:00 PM: Victor let Paul know that he told James he guesses that he is going to have to team up with one of them. Paul asked what James said. Victor said James told him yes. While Victor wants to take James to the Final 2 to get back at their Final 4 alliance members, Paul said he would not want to give James the satisfaction of a Final 2. Victor said he would do it out of principle, because he knows that he would win regardless. Paul mentioned that James has screwed them over too. Victor argued that what Corey and Nicole did was worse because they put more trust into those two.
9:00-10:00 PM: Victor said Corey’s best argument to win the game would be that he got him out, if he ends up leaving this week. As for Nicole, Victor said getting Michelle out was not much of an accomplishment. Paul said Nicole wanted to get all of the girls out and now she is the last one. He said Michelle was openly after Nicole, so it made sense. Victor still thought that it was not the best move since Michelle was not that big of a threat. Victor didn’t know who he would vote for out of the other three if some combination of them were to make it to the end. Paul said he would probably vote for Corey to win since he is not a vet. Victor said he would likely do the same. He also said he would have to give Corey props for getting him out. Paul thinks that the returnees would have been gone early on if not for the team twist. Victor said it’s impressive that James and Nicole were able to make it this far without being targeted. The two discussed that they actually played the game, as opposed to others in the house. Victor said Corey and Nicole are now starting to show up because they have to, while James has yet to do anything. Paul thinks that James played a big role in getting them on the block this week. Victor said you cannot blame him for it even if he did. Victor asked if Paul expected James to roll over. Paul said yeah. Victor said he would have less respect for James if he did that. Victor told Paul that he has more respect for James for swaying them to the point where they got put on the block than he does for Corey and Nicole. Paul discussed a potential plan in the event that Victor wins the veto. He said he could tell Corey and Nicole that nobody is going to beat Victor, so they need him to help take him out. He admitted that he would pretty much be pulling a Paulie. Victor didn’t think that they would buy it. Victor is fine with Paul saying that he will be trying to keep James safe, because he will. Paul said he will need to act like he doesn’t care about Victor as a last ditch effort.
