Big Brother 18 Day 97 - The Final 3 learn about Big Brother Over The Top

September 19, 2016

10:00-11:00 AM: James told Paul that he will be crapping his pants on finale night. Paul said he will be too, as will everyone else. Paul wondered who would ask him questions if he makes it to the Final 2. James said he has no idea. He told Paul to be prepared for anything. James was called to the diary room. Nicole then joined Paul outside. Paul told Nicole that James is so nervous around him, because he knows he cannot ask him what he plans to do. Paul said he can tell it is eating James alive. Nicole told Paul that James straight up asked her last night. Paul thinks James isn’t asking him because he knows he is not going to like what he hears. Paul asked if James said he could beat them at the end. Nicole said she was talking about the sure votes that James would have, then James said those people would vote against Nicole even if she made it to the end with Paul. Nicole told Paul that James went on to say that he would have a tough time against Paul, though he would probably be fine because he would likely have Corey’s vote. Paul asked what the difference is between taking James and taking Paul if James thinks he will win. Nicole said James told her it would be cool to have two vets at the end. Paul said it wouldn’t be cool and Nicole should use it in her speech that she was the last vet standing. Nicole asked James whose votes he thinks he has in jury for sure. James said Natalie and Michelle. Nicole asked about whether or not he would have Da’Vonne’s vote and Bridgette’s vote. James said maybe he would have them if Natalie talked to them, but Bridgette is her own person and she liked Paul too. As for Da’Vonne, James mentioned that he voted her out and she probably figured out that he lied to her. Nicole said they might see that as a good move. James said he is the one who blew Da’Vonne’s game up, since he told Paulie that she was coming after the couples. James told Nicole that is the only thing that he worries about with regards to Da’Vonne, though she may see it as a good game move if she votes based on strategy. James said he is unsure about which way Victor, Paulie and Zakiyah will vote. Nicole said she left a good goodbye message to Zakiyah, since she was her best girl friend in the house at the time. Nicole said it will depend on whether or not Michelle turned them against her. James said he doesn’t know what would happen if he was in the Final 2 with Paul. Nicole said Corey would likely vote for Paul if he bases his vote on strategy, but he would vote for James if he bases it on who he was closer to. Nicole said she assumes that Corey would vote for James. James agreed.

3:00-4:00 PM: Nicole continued to practice her Final 2 speech. She started off by saying that her heart could not have been happier when she got called back this season, though she new it was going to be difficult. Nicole talked about how she got called a snake on Day 1 and became an even bigger target immediately. On Day 2, Nicole said she had to fight for her life and she had a 25% chance of going home. She then said she had to convince two strangers to give HoH to her. On Day 3, Nicole said she was faced with the challenge of convincing somebody that she didn’t know to go up as a pawn, which she did. Nicole explained that she and Corey played both sides. Nicole said she worked with the girls and Corey worked with the boys. She believes that every person who went home for the first eight weeks was a threat to her game and to Corey’s game. She thinks that everything was perfect until James, someone she was working closely with, decided to vote the other way and keep Michelle. Nicole said her best game move was getting Natalie and Michelle to nominate two of their allies as opposed to her and Corey. That week, Nicole said she realized she could no longer rely on talking her way out of things and she had to start winning competitions.

4:00-5:00 PM: Big Brother gave Nicole a card to read. It stated that Big Brother Over The Top starts one week after the finale of Big Brother 18. James said that gives him chills. Paul said he wants to throw up. Nicole said this cannot be real life. Nicole had another card to read. Paul half jokingly said that it may read that you can get a chance in the new season if you quit the game right now. They were then shown an ad for the new season. James said it’s nuts that they were being serious. Nicole then read the second card. The houseguests were told that they can leave behind a message or advice for the new houseguests. Big Brother left a board and markets to write on it. Paul said he is disgusted by CBS. Nicole yelled “what is going on?!”. Paul said he wants to vomit. Nicole said she doesn’t like it at all. Paul said he doesn’t want any part of it. James said it’s so cool. James asked Big Brother if he can do the next season. James said it’s so cool that they get to go home and watch another season. Nicole asked what’s going to happen to them. James said they are done. Paul said no one cares about them. Nicole said it’s such a bummer that there is another season. Paul said he doesn’t know how to feel about it. Nicole said this is not what she expected, cause she thought they were going to bring in a puppy.

5:00-6:00 PM: The houseguests took their time writing messages for the new batch of houseguests. They split the board into three sections.

James’ advice included the following:

Don’t be that guy/girl!
If a fight doesn’t include you: walk away!
Take in more information than you give out!
Find the cutest girl or guy and get into a showmance. But make sure they can win comps.
This game is a marathon and not a sprint. Slow your roll.

Paul’s advice was as follows:

Drop your ego!
Have fun.
Be yourself…unless you suck.
Play your own game. You’re not Derrick or Dan.
Call people out…it’s fun!
Always remember: Friendship!!

Nicole continually wrote advice and then erased it.

7:00-8:00 PM: Nicole worked on her message for the Big Brother Over The Top houseguests. Her first piece of advice was to breathe. Second was to be yourself because that’s what got you there. Nicole encouraged the houseguests to “play Big Brother, not Big Baby”.

8:00-9:00 PM: Nicole told Paul that James seems super happy again. Paul agreed. He said that it is really weird. Nicole asked if Paul told James that he is taking him. Paul said no and that James hasn’t even talked to him all day. Paul said they could tell James together that they are not taking him, so that neither of them are at a disadvantage when it comes to getting James’ jury vote. Nicole said she doesn’t care and they can do that if it is something that Paul wants to do. Paul assured Nicole that there is a 0% chance that he will take James to the end. Nicole said she knows and that’s not what she is stressing about. Nicole explained that she is stressed about her speech and she is excited to see her family, making her overwhelmed with emotions. Paul told Nicole to be who she is. Nicole said she is afraid of speaking in front of so many people and she feels as though she will have to be on the defensive with this jury. Nicole said she thinks that she needs to say something to Corey. Paul told her it is not the time to talk to Corey. Meanwhile, James spoke to the live feeders while alone in the safari room. He said he is pretty sure that Paul and Nicole are taking each other to the Final 2. James believes that his downfall is not getting enough blood on his hands. James said he should have won one of those competitions. He also thought that he should have went against Paul, voting Nicole out and rolling with Corey until the end. James said he doesn’t know where his vote is going to go. He mentioned that Paul promised him Final 2, while Nicole is someone that he was loyal to throughout the season. James wishes that Paul would tell him that he isn’t going to take him if that’s what he plans to do. James thinks that Nicole has been pretty straight up about it. James said he isn’t mad. He called it a good game move.

9:00-10:00 PM: Nicole headed to her bed to practice her speech and work on her answers to potential jury questions. When thinking about how to answer why she deserves when this is her second chance and Paul’s first, Nicole said there were pros and cons to being a returning houseguest. Nicole said it was super difficult to come back since everyone knows everything about you and knows how you played the last time. Nicole said she was backdoored by her best friend on her season, leading to her being paranoid and not trusting anybody but Corey this time. Nicole explained that she didn’t establish much of a personal relationship with anybody because she was scared due to being trampled on and backstabbed the last time.
