Big Brother 22 Day 48 - Tyler decides not to use the Power of Veto
September 21, 2020
11:04 AM: Da’Vonne told Nicole they need to plan how she is going to spend the week. Da’Vonne said that she wants to have fun. Nicole said they can still try to get her to stay. Da’Vonne said she doesn’t see it happening since the boys want her out. She figured that it has something to do with David and Tyler. Nicole said she would think that they would want Kevin out, so she will talk to them and let her know.
12:02 PM: Feeds went down for the veto ceremony.
1:03 PM: Feeds returned. Tyler decided not to use the Power of Veto. Da’Vonne and Kevin remain nominated.
1:50 PM: Da’Vonne told Dani and Kevin that if and when she leaves, Kevin will probably go in the double and then Dani will be following him out the door. She said she thinks that David has surpassed Dani at this point. Kevin said that he will be leaving first. Da’Vonne said no. She told him that he needs to win HoH and protect Dani and Nicole. Da’Vonne talked about Cody, Enzo and Tyler definitely being a trio. Da’Vonne said that she will not give those three the satisfaction of a campaign. She added that she might not even talk to David. Da’Vonne said that she may briefly hit up Christmas. Dani said that she will only have three then, but Da’Vonne said she will see if David is willing to stick to his morals like she did in week two.
2:08 PM: Kevin told Da’Vonne that he has been thinking for a while that Dani knew what was going on with the vote last week. Kevin explained he has been thinking about a scenario in which David did follow through and Nicole was told by Dani to flip her vote. Da’Vonne said she doesn’t think that Nicole backed out. Kevin suggested that she cried so much because she had to. Da’Vonne said she doesn’t see it but she will ask her again. When Kevin said that Nicole wouldn’t tell her that she flipped, Da’Vonne disagreed.
2:11 PM: Da’Vonne told Nicole that she is on her way out the door but she wants to ask one final time about her vote. Nicole said she did what she told her. Da’Vonne asked if she voted to keep Ian. Nicole said yeah. Da’Vonne said she doesn’t want to look like sh*t for bashing David. Nicole said she doesn’t want her to either. She asked if that is Da’Vonne’s plan in order to stay this week. Da’Vonne said no. She explained that she is talking about in the outside world and not wanting to be bashing him when she is wrong. Nicole said she definitely kept Ian. Da’Vonne pointed out that the guys don’t even hide their alliance anymore. Da’Vonne said that she will not be campaigning to Cody, Enzo or Tyler because they will vote together regardless, and because she has seen those guys make fun of the campaigns made by Keesha, Kevin, Janelle and Kaysar. She added that the way they made fun of Ian for campaigning was not even close to funny.
2:21 PM: After Da’Vonne left the room, Nicole spoke to the cameras about how it kills her to lie to Da’Vonne. She said she is going to tell her about the vote but she has to find the right time to do so.
3:20 PM: Nicole told Dani that all she was trying to do was cover her vote. Dani said what makes it hard is that it was a great game move that they did yet it has turned into something else. Nicole figured that nobody inside or outside of the house will view it as a game move now, and they will think that it was personal. Dani disagreed. Nicole asked Dani what the plan is. Dani said that Da’Vonne is going since there is no way around it. Nicole talked about wanting to make sure that Da’Vonne doesn’t call David out on Thursday. Nicole said she would stand up and say that the vote was her at this point. Dani suggested that they could get Tyler to tell Da’Vonne that he has had a Final 2 deal with David. Nicole thought that Da’Vonne would be mad about that as well. Dani explained that Da’Vonne doesn’t want to look stupid saying things that aren’t true. Nicole said that Da’Vonne made her feels as though she and David weren’t close. Dani said that she can say that in her goodbye message, and she will say her piece as well. Dani expects that they will each have to address things with Da’Vonne if they go to the jury house or after the season if not.
4:09 PM: David told Kevin that the veto situation was very telling since neither nominee picked him to play. Kevin claimed that he didn’t pick David since he wouldn’t be able to beat him. David pointed out that the choices guaranteed that one of the three of them would leave this week, whereas there could have been a chance to keep all three safe this week had he been competing. Kevin talked about needing to take things into his own hands. David replied with “or you just didn’t trust me”. David also noted that Da’Vonne is trusting someone who flipped the vote over him.
4:23 PM: Da’Vonne asked Kevin if he has been having any conversations. Kevin said that they are not good ones since he doesn’t have a campaign ready when people ask him for one. He mentioned that he will sleep on it tonight. Kevin said that people are going to tell them what they want to hear, so conversations this early are pointless anyway. Da’Vonne said she just had a talk with David to clarify that her speech was nothing negative about him and all she was saying is that she knew they would try to use him to take a shot at her.
5:02 PM: Kevin reminded Da’Vonne that Dani was begging them not to vote Tyler out last week. While Da’Vonne thought it was because she didn’t want to have to break a tie, Kevin said he thinks it was something deeper and as if she knew that the votes weren’t there. Kevin said that Dani was genuinely trying to look out for them by telling them that they were about to get set up. Da’Vonne said she thinks that Dani would have told her that verbatim if so, or at least she would have told Nicole who would have told her. Da’Vonne said that Nicole would not screw her again.
5:25 PM: Christmas asked Memphis what they want David to do if he wins HoH. Memphis said nominate Kevin next to Dani or Nicole, but he definitely does not feel comfortable telling David names. Christmas said she can talk to him about Da’Vonne’s speech in order to shed some light on things. Memphis said he feels as though he is in a good place with David since David told him he appreciates what he did this week, and everything is good if he wins HoH. Memphis said he could see David nominating Kevin since he is the block master. Memphis suggested pitching that Kevin wouldn’t come after David if he puts him up, since everyone has been nominating him.
5:48 PM: Christmas told David that she wants to extend an olive branch and hopes that they can help each other get to the final eight. Christmas told David to think about who Da’Vonne didn’t call out today. David asked who she called out. Christmas listed off Cody, Memphis, David and herself. When Christmas asked David who he would put up, David said that Dani took a shot at him. Christmas told him to consider what happened this week as well, since Dani wanted to win the veto in order to save Da’Vonne but that plan backfired. Christmas said it was a very revealing week for Da’Vonne, Dani and Nicole. Christmas told David that she is willing to set things straight about last week’s vote. She said that she will tell Da’Vonne the truth in her goodbye message in exchange for David keeping her safe if he wins either of the next two HoHs. Christmas said she hopes that giving David this information and going to bat for him in her goodbye message shows that she is down to ride. David said let’s ride.
6:56 PM: Nicole asked Christmas if David said who he is going after. Christmas said he just doesn’t understand why Da’Vonne would call him out. Nicole said she feels so bad since it is because of the vote. Nicole said she didn’t think that those two were close when she voted that way. Nicole said that David is now telling everyone that it was her. She mentioned that she will be so mad if David puts her up. Nicole said she didn’t think that changing a vote would cause this much turmoil since all that she did was not vote the way that Da’Vonne thought she would.
8:50 PM: Nicole asked Da’Vonne how she is feeling. Da’Vonne said she is okay and she would love to stay but she is okay if she doesn’t. Nicole said she doesn’t want Da’Vonne to give up. Da’Vonne said she wont roll over and die but she is not campaigning to Cody, Enzo or Tyler.
9:17 PM: Kevin asked Da’Vonne what her strategy is going to be if she stays. Da’Vonne said that she would nominate Cody and Tyler next to each other. Kevin mentioned nominating Cody next to Memphis. Da’Vonne warned him that Tyler would use the veto on Cody if he were to win it. Kevin asked who would need to go up if Cody and Tyler are on the block and one of them wins the veto. Da’Vonne said that Enzo would have to go up since Dani, David and Nicole would all go home if they were to go up. Da’Vonne thought that Enzo may go over Cody or Tyler but said that you need to attack that triangle.
