Big Brother 24 Day 18 - Brittany and Michael win the Power of Veto
July 23, 2022
8:32 AM: Feeds went down for the veto player pick.
9:04 AM: Feeds returned. The veto players are Turner, Jasmine, Brittany, Michael, Nicole and Taylor. Joseph will be hosting.
9:05 AM: Joseph let Brittany and Michael know that he is working on keeping them both safe even if Taylor happens to win the veto.
9:15 AM: Taylor told Brittany and Michael she knows what she would like to do with the veto but it would be a hard battle with Nicole unless she can convince Turner to get on board with the veto being used. Brittany pointed out that they would be numbers for Taylor and perhaps could even return the favour of using a veto on her at some point. Taylor reassured Brittany and Michael that she is with them but she has to massage the situation.
9:22 AM: Daniel and Nicole discussed knowing that Taylor would get picked to compete. Nicole said she is going to have to find a way to sabotage things but she hates throwing competitions. Nicole was concerned about a detail that they were given that whoever survives nomination is not guaranteed safety. Daniel theorized that there could be mini Battle Backs.
9:27 AM: Nicole told Daniel and Turner that she is on board with throwing the veto and doing this for them so that Taylor can be targeted.
9:30 AM: Taylor told Joseph she figures the house will want her to keep nominations the same if she wins. Joseph asked how Taylor’s relationship with Turner is in the event that Michael wins veto. Taylor said she feels good about Turner and doesn’t see a situation in which she would go up this week. Joseph let Taylor know that they need to circle back after the competition. Joseph said he feels bad for Taylor since she has been fighting since Day 1. He suggested that she use this opportunity to start building if she wins the veto. Joseph added that he will talk to her and hang out with her even if it looks bad.
9:52 AM: Ameerah questioned Joseph about why Taylor called him into the room. Joseph clarified that she didn’t call him. When Ameerah asked why Taylor was talking to him, Joseph said she knows he is close to Turner and she was wondering who might go up if the veto is used. Ameerah wasn’t buying it.
9:57 AM: Ameerah told Indy and Nicole that Joseph is lying about his conversation with Taylor. Joseph then joined them and said Taylor is not stupid and knows there is a possibility that she may go up, so she wanted to know who the other options could be. Nicole said Joseph can tell her if Taylor is campaigning against her. Joseph swore that she was not.
10:10 AM: Daniel told Ameerah and Nicole that Taylor is siding with guys and building a relationship with Joseph for when she stays. Nicole said she will be livid if this is Pooch 2.0 and she leaves this week. Ameerah and Daniel reassured her that that is not the case.
10:20 AM: Ameerah told Nicole that Joseph keeps trying to talk to her because he knows that she knows he is lying. Ameerah said he can no longer be trusted.
10:22 AM: Joseph told Turner about his conversation with Ameerah in which she questioned why he was talking to Taylor. Joseph said she thinks he is lying when he really wasn’t. Joseph added that Ameerah said she will not be good until she sees what happens this week. Joseph thinks she is worried that Turner might be out for revenge since she knows what she did last week.
10:26 AM: Monte told Joseph that while the girls are avoiding Taylor, it is an opportune time to make sure that she has an understanding. Joseph said he already planted a seed. Joseph said that if Ameerah doesn’t go home this week, he and Monte will be on the block next week. Monte agreed.
10:39 AM: Ameerah and Daniel discussed that Taylor has to lose the veto competition so that they can get her out. Ameerah said she will be watching every move during the competition. Daniel said they can split up to watch everyone, including Joseph who is hosting. Daniel said he will be looking to see if Joseph is watching Taylor or rooting for her. Ameerah said luckily Joseph doesn’t know anything about her or her game, so she is in the clear.
10:42 AM: Monte talked to Nicole about how Joseph is being incriminated by Ameerah when Taylor is the one approaching him, which is not fair to Joseph. Nicole agreed and said she thinks that Taylor is doing it on purpose in order to make them think that she is telling Joseph something else. Monte said Joseph is probably just hearing her out.
10:54 AM: Ameerah told Monte that Joseph and Taylor were together for 20 minutes. Monte said he is worried that Taylor will do the same to him, which allows everyone to accept a perceived reality that they are talking game.
11:31 AM: Monte told Kyle that they need to keep the narrative the same in that everything is still normal. He said that will ensure that Nicole throws the veto competition. Monte also expressed that Joseph needs to dial it back because people are suspicious about his conversation with Taylor.
11:35 AM: Nicole came out of the diary room and was crying in her bed. Daniel consoled her. She said the game is so hard and she feels like a horrible, disgusting person. Daniel reassured her that he will always have her back. Meanwhile, the houseguests worried that Nicole had possibly received some bad news about her mother while in the diary room.
11:44 AM: Turner asked Taylor if she is tight with Brittany and Michael. Taylor said she has been close to Brittany. She said if they do happen to come down, she can make sure that they don’t come after him. Turner let Taylor know that she is 100% safe this week.
11:56 AM: Daniel and Nicole continued their conversation. Daniel talked about his decision to nominate Taylor in week one and how it will be perceived on the outside. He said if people have an issue with it, he will tell them to talk to any of the houseguests because they don’t understand what it was like in there with Taylor. Both agreed that she is not a good person.
12:10 PM: Daniel let the houseguests know that it was not the worst case scenario that they had assumed in regards to Nicole. They talked about how she is worried every time that she gets called to the DR that it might be due to bad news from home.
12:25 PM: Turner told Joseph and Monte that Taylor said she is close with Brittany and she would like if there was a way for them and Michael to all work together, so he has already planted that seed with her.
12:38 PM: Kyle told Monte that they can use Taylor this week and then take her out on their own terms either next week or the week after, once they gain control of the house. Monte said he is preaching to the choir on that one.
12:43 PM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
6:13 PM: Feeds returned. Brittany and Michael won the Power of Veto.
6:26 PM: Brittany and Michael celebrated their veto win. Kyle joined them and told them that they crushed it. They discussed that Jasmine and Turner didn’t get to compete. Kyle mentioned that Jasmine passed out.
6:33 PM: Nicole told Ameerah she didn’t expect Daniel to blow up on Taylor. She explained that she was venting to her friends. Nicole said she feels good about what she said to Taylor as she didn’t insult her, talk down to her, or belittle her.
6:42 PM: Turner told Kyle he wants to talk to the boys because he thinks it will be easy to get Taylor on board but harder to trust her than they think. Turner worried because Taylor told him that it’s your responsibility to fill your bestie in on your game. He clarified that she said that prior to the whole situation with Nicole took place. Kyle said he thinks Taylor genuinely approached Nicole to tell her it’s fine if she needs to focus on her mental health, and then Nicole flipped and said Taylor wants her out. Turner said he is down to talk things through and whether they bring Taylor in or not, they can work with Brittany and Michael.
6:59 PM: Turner told Joseph and Kyle that he would love to find a way to ease the girls into the idea of putting Ameerah up. Joseph said he doesn’t think it’s going to happen. Joseph suggested framing it as though Turner feels bad for Taylor and thinks that she deserves a chance to know that they are not all attacking her personally and looking for a punching bag. Kyle said if someone else, like Alyssa or Ameerah, had said the same words as Taylor did, Nicole would have understood. Joseph agreed that she would have let it go.
7:15 PM: Joseph checked in on Taylor. He told her he doesn’t think that she is dead in the water. Joseph encouraged Taylor to apologize to people for what went on earlier. He let her know that he still believes in her. Joseph revealed that he gets attacked for talking to Taylor but he isn’t going to leave anyone alone. Joseph suggested that Taylor stay close to Brittany and Michael.
7:27 PM: Michael asked Joseph if he missed anything last night. Joseph said he made it clear that he is not going to let Brittany and Michael be sacrificed. He said he feels bad for Taylor as well. Joseph said that even though Taylor had her mishaps, she doesn’t mean it. Michael agreed. Jospeh said Taylor should not be ostracized by the house. Joseph told Michael that he wants to get a group together because he does not like that the respectful and kind people are getting a raw deal. Michael said he would love to talk.
8:03 PM: Michael told Taylor that there are people who want her in the house. Michael said he wants her there. Taylor said she knows but suggested that he vote her out if there is an all out war against her as they get closer to the vote. Michael said he doesn’t know exactly what is happening but it sounds like Turner may have a move in mind that is not her.
8:20 PM: Monte told Taylor that they have started to realize what is happening in the house. He said he, Joseph, Kyle, Turner, Brittany, Michael and Taylor are not involved. Taylor said she will need six votes to stay. Monte said she is not going on the block.
9:18 PM: Kyle, Michael and Turner discussed that they are in a bad spot. They agreed that they are down to do something about it, and it has to be done this week. Kyle said the group of the girls, Daniel, Nicole and Terrance are not going to break. Kyle told Turner that they will support him with the votes this week, and they can take out Jasmine even if someone retaliates against him. Ameerah’s name was brought up as a target. Turner said he is down for that. Michael said he thought week one that Ameerah could win the game. Kyle revealed that Alyssa told him Paloma started a girls alliance, so Taylor could have been telling the truth.
9:30 PM: Brittany and Joseph joined Kyle, Michael and Turner in the HoH room. Kyle said that a solid group of girls are very close and are working with Daniel, Nicole and Terrance. Kyle told the group that he is all in with them and he revealed that Alyssa told him about an “Old School” alliance consisting of Alyssa, Ameerah, Daniel, Jasmine, Nicole and Terrance. Joseph said they are all sitting ducks and luckily they caught onto it before Taylor went home. Michael said Ameerah was talking about how Taylor is going home this week even in the first week. Kyle said Alyssa told him that the girls wanted Taylor to win HoH last week to take a shot at a big physical threat. Kyle suggested that Ameerah and Terrance could go on the block to eliminate two votes from that side, and then the four of them, Monte and Taylor can send Ameerah packing. Joseph said he believes that Taylor would work with them. Turner said she is being mistreated by everyone and it is not right. Joseph added that she has been ostracized, while Michael said it’s like a game of telephone with her. Michael said he asked Taylor what she said to Nicole and she said she told Nicole to do whatever she needs to do for herself, yet Nicole twisted it to say Taylor told her it’s okay if she wants to quit.
10:23 PM: Kyle told Michael that they need to get Monte in a room with Taylor to mend things with regards to the Paloma stuff. Kyle hoped to make it happen tonight.
10:45 PM: Kyle let Monte know that there was a great conversation between Brittany, Joseph, Michael, Turner and himself, so now they just need to bring Taylor in and outline everything for her.
10:46 PM: Brittany and Michael discussed that they feel good about the group that they spoke with. Brittany said the only question mark is Turner since he didn’t talk much. Michael said Turner was talking more earlier in the conversation before Brittany got there.
1:16 AM: Taylor met up with Brittany, Kyle, Monte and Turner. Monte let Taylor know that they have got confirmation about what she was saying in terms of Paloma starting a girls alliance. Kyle revealed that Alyssa let some information slip the night that they got alcohol, and she said that Paloma started a girls alliance, so they started to realize that Taylor was presenting them with useful information to protect Monte. Kyle then let Taylor know that Nicole came to him and said that she and Taylor plan to approach the two sets of male pairs, so be ready for it but know that Taylor is the backdoor this week. Kyle said he saw Nicole going at Taylor today, saying she had befriended her and was being nice to her, when the day prior she was making fun of her. Kyle said that did not sit well with him. Turner added that Nicole sat in there and said how Taylor is her girl only to later say she deserved an Oscar for that performance. Monte then said Nicole chose Taylor to be her bestie because she knew that she would be safe next to her, and she expected to get a power. Brittany confirmed that Nicole said that to her.
1:28 AM: Michael joined the HoH crew. Kyle filled Taylor in on the Old School alliance. Monte said it appears as though Ameerah is the mastermind of the alliance. Brittany said it was her understanding that the girls saved Taylor last week but never planned on truly bringing her in, and the plan for this week was Taylor and Turner. Kyle said Taylor has been treated poorly by so many people in the house and he is sick of it. Monte said Ameerah is the one orchestrating things, and Joseph saw her crying and saying that she was going home after Turner won HoH. It was discussed that Ameerah and Terrance are the best option for the replacement nominees. Turner told Taylor that the only thing he heard about for two hours was how Taylor went up to Nicole and told her that she can go home.
1:56 AM: Taylor asked which people they should be bringing to jury along with them. Michael said he is cool with cutting Daniel before jury. Kyle said Terrance doesn’t pose a threat from a competition standpoint, and he is the nicest guy, so they could bring him. Taylor said they could bring Alyssa and Terrance. Kyle said they should focus on who the biggest threats are to get out before jury. He said he would be fine with Ameerah, Daniel and Nicole leaving pre-jury. The group discussed calling themselves “The Leftovers”.
2:07 AM: Joseph joined the HoH crew. He asked Taylor if she has been filled in. Taylor said she is and she is all in. The group celebrated and hugged each other. Joseph told Taylor that she is not a shield and she is a part of the alliance. Joseph said this was their last chance to do this and get the numbers, as they were dead in the water if Taylor had been sent home. Joseph told Taylor that even though she may be getting a lot of heat, they are supporting her. The group told Joseph that they are calling themselves The Leftovers. Monte said they are a good group and they have great competitors. Kyle said that they are going to run the house. Joseph said tomorrow they have to act like Taylor is still the target but Ameerah is going home.
