Big Brother 24 Day 25 - Daniel and Kyle win the Power of Veto
July 30, 2022
8:25 AM: Feeds went down for the veto player pick.
8:56 AM: Feeds returned. The veto players are Monte, Joseph, Terrance, Alyssa, Indy, Daniel and Kyle.
9:08 AM: Alyssa told Indy and Jasmine that if Kyle wins the veto and doesn’t use it, she will come for him. Jasmine encouraged Alyssa and Indy to start talking to Daniel and Kyle now to ensure that they will use the veto. Indy said Alyssa can talk to Kyle and she will talk to Daniel. Alyssa pointed out that Daniel hates Taylor. Jasmine suggested that Indy bring up that they can get Taylor out.
9:26 AM: Indy asked Daniel if he is going to use the veto if he wins it. Daniel said yeah. He brought up that he already told Monte to pick him to compete because of that, and he has no reason not to use it.
9:33 AM: Monte reassured Alyssa that he doesn’t want her and Indy to stay on the block. Monte said that Daniel and Kyle are going to use the veto. Alyssa said that would make her happy. She asked if Taylor is the target, which Monte confirmed. Alyssa said Nicole is a bit concerning to her as well because she talks about being for the girls and then goes and talks to everyone else, plus she has seen Nicole look her in the eye and lie to her. Monte said he has no reason to want Nicole out at the moment but he will let her know if things change.
9:47 AM: Monte told Indy that Alyssa came to him saying that she doesn’t trust Nicole. Indy said Nicole told her that they should try to win to target Brittany or Turner. Monte said he is not threatened by Nicole if she is not coming for him. Indy revealed that when Jasmine was HoH, Daniel suggested that they should use that opportunity to take out one of the big guys. Indy thought that Joseph was who Daniel wanted to target at that time. Monte asked who Indy would like to see leave if Nicole and Taylor go up. Indy said she would rather Taylor go this week and then maybe they can plan to go after Nicole next. Monte said he wants a unanimous vote this week so he will let Indy know if anything changes. Monte mentioned that Indy wants him to hold off on the information about Nicole for next week, but he cannot be HoH next week so he isn’t sure what to do.
10:13 AM: Kyle asked Monte if he should be pitching that they are going to use the veto if they win it. Monte said he told Daniel that they should use it as it makes sense since Daniel’s target is Taylor.
10:28 AM: Monte asked Michael about Indy saying that Daniel suggested targeting Joseph when Jasmine was HoH. Michael said he remembers a conversation in which someone said they have HoH, the veto and the votes, so they have options. He said Daniel is the person he would most like to see out on the other side, so it would be easy to say he said that, but he does not remember Daniel pushing it.
10:32 AM: Nicole asked Monte if he is happy with who got picked for veto. Monte said he is since he is confident that everyone will use it and then he can go through with the plan to backdoor Taylor.
11:07 AM: Kyle told Michael that they should be good no matter who wins the veto today, but he doesn’t want Taylor to feel like she was the last invited to the group and she is the first one being pawned. Michael agreed and said that they need to make Brittany feel good too since she was freaking out yesterday since they are in the most vulnerable position of those in the alliance.
11:08 AM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
1:31 PM: Feeds returned. Daniel and Kyle won the Power of Veto.
1:35 PM: Monte asked Taylor if she is still 100% down with the plan to get Nicole out. Taylor said she is only 80% on board because she is nervous about what happens beyond this week due to Brittany and Michael potentially not being safe.
1:38 PM: Kyle asked Joseph, Monte and Taylor what his approach should be. Taylor encouraged him to be Daniel’s bestie and tell him that they need to get her out of there. She added that he should let Daniel give the best speech of his life when he is putting Nicole on the block.
1:42 PM: Monte told Taylor he is wondering if he should drop a seed about Nicole leaving because he would like a unanimous vote. Monte said people wont want to be on the wrong side of the vote. Taylor said that cannot be done until the very last minute, about two hours prior to the vote. Monte agreed. Monte asked which pair Taylor would join. She said Alyssa and Indy.
1:53 PM: Taylor told Brittany and Michael that Monte asked her if she is okay with getting Nicole out, and she said she is only 80% on board because she wants to protect the two of them. Taylor said Monte really wants to make the move though, which she gets. Michael said it’s the flashy move but he questioned if it’s the smart one. Taylor said she doesn’t think it’s wise but it wont make sense for Daniel not to use the veto. They talked about needing Nicole to be the one to convince Daniel not to use the veto.
1:56 PM: Alyssa asked Kyle if he is going to use the veto on her. Kyle said they are definitely going to use it. Alyssa asked again. Kyle promised that the veto will be used.
2:27 PM: Monte told Daniel and Kyle he knew once the players were picked that they would be fine no matter what happened. Kyle said Taylor has to have an idea of what is about to happen. Daniel asked what Taylor said when she came upstairs after the competition. Monte said she was trying to plead her case. Kyle said he plans to tell people that he isn’t sure what he is going to do. Daniel said they want to keep communication lines open with Monte in case anything changes by Monday. Monte said that as long as they are good with executing the plan by using the veto, he will take care of the rest.
2:39 PM: Monte told Brittany about Nicole suggesting that Indy nominate him, Joseph and Terrance as pawns in order to backdoor Brittany and Michael. Joseph said he believes that Nicole’s true goal in that plan would be to get him or Monte out.
2:57 PM: Daniel told Nicole that Joseph is the worst liar and that people were pissed when he won the veto. Daniel figured that there was a plan to get him or Nicole out, so he said that he has to convince Kyle not to use the veto. Daniel mentioned that they still don’t know how the twist works in terms of what would happen if he chooses not to use the veto but Kyle decides to use it. Daniel theorized that Kyle may only have the power to remove one nominee at that point, and then he can suggest that Taylor goes up in Alyssa’s place. Nicole said if she went up at that point, they would know that she is the target. Daniel agreed.
3:07 PM: Brittany, Joseph and Monte agreed that Alyssa and Daniel should be the next two targets after Nicole leaves. Monte suggested that Daniel should go next week in order to give Taylor a break from going on the block since they are assuming that she will be joining Alyssa and Indy. Monte said it would be ideal to get a unanimous vote to evict Nicole so that Daniel doesn’t know who was with her and who was against her. Monte said he will drop a seed on eviction night that people are evicting Nicole. Brittany said she can help spread that to the girls, hopefully gaining back some trust that was lost last week when she didn’t tell them about the vote flip.
3:49 PM: Michael wondered if it would be smart to get Daniel not to use the veto, then Kyle can use it afterwards. He pointed out that Alyssa and Indy would then be mad at Daniel. Kyle said Daniel is the only one that would then be mad at him, and Brittany said they will take him out next week. Kyle asked how the veto works with two people. Michael said Daniel would say they have decided not to use the Power of Veto, and then Kyle would say actually I have decided to use it. Michael mentioned that they would have to get Nicole paranoid enough to ask Daniel not to use it. -
4:14 PM: Nicole asked Alyssa if she has talked to Kyle. Alyssa said she hasn’t much but he wants to make sure that he is on the same page as Daniel. Nicole said Monte still wants the veto to be used to get rid of Taylor. Alyssa said she is really confident that Nicole will stay if she goes up, because Monte said how much he trusts her.
4:31 PM: Daniel told Nicole he is going to pitch that they have to make a move now or else they are handing the money to Joseph and Monte. He said he plans to tell Kyle that the plan involves not using the veto and then they save Alyssa because they need her. Daniel said the first step in his plan is that Nicole needs to talk to Jasmine and repair anything between them, because they will need her.
4:50 PM: Nicole told Jasmine she knows she will be going up as the replacement. Jasmine asked why she thinks that. Nicole said because they want to get rid of Taylor. Jasmine said Nicole has nothing to worry about. Nicole said she isn’t worried but she doesn’t want to be on the block at all. Jasmine asked Nicole who she would want to see in jury if she wins HoH next week. Nicole said Jasmine, Daniel and Terrance are the three who she completely trusts and wants to see in jury. As for people she didn’t want to make it, she mentioned Brittany and Taylor.
5:07 PM: Nicole told Daniel that she spoke to Jasmine and Jasmine kept telling her that she is good. Nicole said they are the worst liars. Daniel said he has to show his cards and go for the Hail Mary because he will be the next to go anyway. Daniel said that he has to keep the nominations the same.
5:15 PM: Daniel told Nicole the angle he plans to use with Kyle is that they will obviously save Alyssa and then it can be the two of them, Alyssa, Nicole and Jasmine, making it 5 vs 5 with Brittany as the swing heading into next week.
5:20 PM: Alyssa asked Kyle if he is going to use the veto if Daniel doesn’t. Kyle said 100%. Alyssa said she just wants to make it to jury. She worried that she would leave over Indy. Alyssa mentioned that she would rather Nicole go over Taylor but Monte doesn’t seem to be on board. Kyle suggested that she stick to the plan, which is Taylor.
5:44 PM: Jasmine filled Monte in on her talk with Nicole. She told Monte that Nicole lied to her face by acting like she didn’t know who was in the alliance when she knows that Nicole was a part of it.
5:54 PM: Jasmine told Monte that Indy snapped on Alyssa right before the veto competition, telling her that she no longer trusts her. When Monte asked why, Jasmine explained that someone told Indy about the alliance.
6:45 PM: Daniel told Nicole and Terrance that the only way for this to work is that Kyle has to also say he is not using the Power of Veto. Terrance didn’t think it would happen, but Daniel asked him to believe in him. Nicole said she is going home if she hits the block.
7:05 PM: Terrance told Taylor it would be crazy if nominations were to stay the same. Taylor suggested that it wont happen since Daniel wants her out. Terrance said he hopes everyone feels the same way about Nicole as they did about Ameerah. Taylor said she thinks that she would stay if she is on the block this week. Terrance said he is never going to be cool with someone who voted him out and another person who voted for him solely out of sympathy, but he will continue to keep face with them.
7:36 PM: Daniel told Kyle that Joseph and Monte were upset that they won the veto, making him think that there could have been a plan to backdoor them. Daniel said he wants to talk more with Kyle later tonight. Afterwards, he spoke to the camera and said that’s part one of the plan, as he planted the seed.
8:03 PM: Michael told Monte that Nicole has come to the conclusion that she doesn’t want to go on the block. Monte said that’s good because if she comes to him with that information, he can bring it to Alyssa and Indy in order to get them on board with voting Nicole out. Monte revealed that Jasmine wants to create a five person alliance with him, Indy, Joseph and Terrance. Monte explained that he had to say yes but it might benefit them since they can influence those three to go after Nicole and then Daniel and Alyssa.
8:30 PM: Michael told Joseph that Nicole is getting cold feet. Monte then caught Joseph up on his talk with Jasmine. They agreed that brining Indy, Jasmine and Terrance is fine with them.
8:58 PM: Michael informed Taylor that Nicole is getting cold feet about going up. Joseph pointed out that she was all for it last week. Taylor said Nicole dropped a hint to Terrance too, saying she is nervous about going up after what happened to Ameerah. Monte then filled Taylor in on the alliance that Jasmine proposed.
9:23 PM: Nicole asked Brittany if she would be okay with her picking her and Michael as her besties if she stays. Brittany said yeah but asked about the reasoning behind it. Nicole said she feels closest to Michael outside of Terrance, and she feels like they could be a force. Nicole later said that Taylor was never her target. She added that she went along with what everyone else wanted in order to make sure she was okay, and now she is shooting herself in the foot.
9:55 PM: Brittany told Michael he thinks there are pros and cons to both options this week but she thinks it is smarter to get Nicole out. Michael said he would rather have Nicole on the jury over Alyssa but he is not going to fight it and get kicked out of the alliance over it.
