Big Brother 24 Day 31 - Joseph, Monte and Terrance are nominated
August 5, 2022
10:05 AM: Michael spoke to the cameras. He said he feels okay with the alliance right now but the biggest concern is that a lot of the big threats are in the alliance. Michael said he doesn’t want to look back and wish that he had taken a shot earlier, but the numbers could also shift quickly to the other side if they win HoH next week. Michael then gave a run down on his thoughts on each houseguest. He said he loves Taylor and there is no way that she is going up this week. As for Daniel, he said he has been telling him from the start that it would be smart to align based on their positions but he doesn’t know that Daniel feels the same. Michael said Indy would be a good person to sit next to at the end, and he does not want her going this week. Michael said he loves Joseph but he is a huge physical threat. He then called Monte the biggest threat to win the game. He pointed out that Monte has Indy, Jasmine and Terrance so he cannot let him get too deep into the game. Michael said he would not be mad about it if nominations stayed the same and Monte left this week. Michael said he likes Alyssa and does not have any plans to get her out this week. As for Kyle, he said that’s the person he talks the most game with. Michael is concerned about Jasmine and Terrance having more going on than people think, which would not involve him. Michael said there is no way that he would target Turner this week. Finally, he said Brittany is the other person he would like to make it to the final two with.
11:14 AM: Daniel pitched to Michael that he is alone in the game and can be a number and someone to help Michael get further. Michael said he assumes that people will throw Daniel’s name out as an easy target. Daniel agreed. Michael said he sees value in having Daniel there but he does not want to promise anything. Michael added that people are going to want Daniel to be backdoored so he probably would not put him up initially but it would likely be best case scenario is the veto isn’t used. Michael asked if Daniel has any idea what he would do if he stayed. Daniel said he is down to take anyone out. He explained that Brittany is probably the only one who has checked in with him on a personal level, so he would keep her and Michael safe.
11:26 AM: Michael asked Alyssa if there is anyone she thinks that the house would like to see targeted. Alyssa named Daniel. She explained that his emotional reactions are not good for anyone and she does not think that he is wanting to work with any of them. Michael said that is the obvious move for him but he is leaning towards a backdoor. Michael said he will be asking everyone how they would feel about being a pawn. Alyssa said she would prefer not to since they were just up and Taylor is always on the block, but she will respect him and trust him if he thinks that is the move that he needs to make. Michael said he has no plans to nominate Alyssa’s group. Alyssa let Michael know that she would like to work with him and Brittany going forward, plus she has talked to Kyle about it as well.
11:38 AM: Indy told Michael that Daniel is the name she has been hearing around the house for a target. She said she is worried about who would be next though. When Michael asked if there is anyone else that Indy would be fine with leaving, she told Michael that he could go for someone else who has put him up. Michael acknowledged that Turner put him up but he said he does not want to risk Jasmine leaving. Indy said no to being a pawn when asked.
11:58 AM: Kyle asked Michael if he was overthinking the situation with the people remaining if they get rid of Alyssa and Daniel. Michael said he doesn’t think so and it’s definitely something to consider. Kyle brought up that Monte shared he and Joseph were approached about an alliance with Indy, Jasmine and Terrance. He said that leaves Joseph and Monte with three options when Alyssa and Daniel go whereas he and Michael would have none. Michael said he is leaning towards nominating Joseph, Monte and Terrance. Michael figured best case scenario would be Daniel and Kyle get picked for veto and win it, then they can keep it the same and Terrance can go home. Kyle circled back to asking about if he is overthinking things with Joseph, Monte and Taylor. Michael said he likes when people trust them enough to say that they were approached about an alliance. While Kyle agreed that they are with them right now, he worried that it would be easy for Joseph and Monte to keep Indy, Jasmine and Terrance over them once they get Alyssa and Daniel out.
12:21 PM: Michael told Jasmine that the plan remains the same and the only issue is if the target gets picked to play for veto and wins it. He said he is thinking of nominating people who have a skillset that outmatches the target. Jasmine said that would really increase his odds of getting what he wants this week.
12:25 PM: Michael told Joseph he thinks that they are in agreement that Daniel is the biggest threat on that side of the house. Joseph agreed. Michael said he is going to try a backdoor. Joseph asked if they will be going on the block. Michael said that is likely the best bet in case Daniel gets picked for veto. Joseph said he doesn’t want Taylor going up again so they make the most sense as initial nominees.
12:52 PM: Taylor asked Michael if their final three with Brittany is still good. Michael said 100%. Michael talked about nominating Jasmine and Turner if something goes wrong and Daniel and Kyle win the veto and use it. Micheal explained that he wouldn’t want to put Taylor up unless she told him to. Taylor said she is not volunteering as a pawn but she would like to have their targets go in order. She added that she wants Jasmine to get a chance to celebrate her father’s birthday in the house.
12:58 PM: Michael told Turner that the whole house has turned on Daniel. He also confirmed that the plan is to nominate Joseph, Monte and Terrance.
1:07 PM: Michael told Brittany he thinks that it would cause too many waves not to target Daniel this week. Brittany asked if he has considered a scenario in which the nominations stay the same. They agreed that it would be the best case scenario. Brittany mentioned that the two of them will not be able to get to the end in this strong alliance, though their heads would be on a platter if they took a shot right now. She figured that the only way it could work out is if Kyle, Taylor and Turner are on board. Michael said he does not want to have those conversations until after the veto competition. If nominations stay the same, Michael said he thinks that Terrance would go. Michael thought that the votes to evict Joseph or Monte instead would have to come from within the alliance but Brittany said that is a risky conversation to have. Michael said he would like to have a talk with Taylor after the veto competition to see when she thinks that they need to do what needs to be done. When Brittany asked Michael who his ideal group to ride with is, he said he would ideally like to be in the final four with Jasmine and Taylor since he thinks that they would have a good shot at winning the competitions.
1:48 PM: Monte asked Michael what Terrance had to say. Michael said Terrance phrased it as Daniel had a blow up and he understands why the house would want him out, rather than saying he wants Daniel out. As for going on the block, Michael said Terrance acknowledged that having Joseph and Monte play in the veto competition would be a good thing. Monte said he thinks Terrance understands the bigger picture and that he is not a target. Monte later brought up that they will have to see what Terrance’s allegiance to Daniel is. If the veto is won by Daniel and Kyle, Monte said they may have to consider taking Terrance out if his allegiance to Daniel is strong.
2:34 PM: Alyssa told Jasmine she doesn’t think that Jasmine will be going up, since it seems like Michael will nominate the boys. Alyssa brought up that Daniel and Kyle winning the veto and leaving nominations the same would not be the worst thing. Jasmine said they could then get a big target out and it cannot be Terrance. Alyssa said it should be Monte. They both agreed that they would want Joseph to stay. Indy said she will go along with whatever the girls are doing.
3:01 PM: Feeds went down for the nomination ceremony.
4:27 PM: Feeds returned. Michael nominated Joseph, Monte and Terrance for eviction.
4:45 PM: Jasmine asked Indy who she would want to go if nominations were to stay the same. Indy said she will do whatever but she doesn’t want to vote to evict Joseph. Jasmine said she is not voting Joseph or Terrance, so she is basically telling her who she would vote for.
6:06 PM: Terrance told Daniel best case scenario is he plays for the veto, wins it, and keeps nominations the same. Daniel said there is no reason that anyone should want Terrance out over Joseph and Monte. Terrance said it’s best for nominations to stay the same so that they can both be safe. Daniel mentioned that if it’s a team competition, Terrance could possibly mess it up for the guys. Terrance said it would not be difficult since he hasn’t won anything and could play it off as though they lost again.
7:49 PM: Brittany asked Taylor if she thinks Turner is more likely to side with them or Joseph and Monte when it comes down to it. Taylor said she isn’t sure. Michael said he hopes that Turner would take the big shot. Taylor said the big shot is Monte, not Joseph. Brittany did say that Joseph is way smarter than anyone gives him credit for. Taylor talked about how he figures things out and does a great job coming up with reasons and excuses for the moves that need to be made. Brittany brought up that she feels good with Monte but thinks it would be enticing for him to side with the weaker players who want to align with him. Taylor said she wouldn’t mind Monte touching the block for an eviction night because he needs to feel the vulnerability.
8:07 PM: Taylor told Brittany and Michael that Daniel on jury would be good for the three of them since he respects the game that they are playing more than that of the others. Minutes later, Taylor backtracked. She and Brittany agreed that Daniel is too risky. Brittany said Daniel would only vote for Taylor to win if he thought that it would help his public persona.
8:29 PM: Brittany, Michael and Taylor discussed options for the week. Taylor said if it’s not Daniel, she would rather it be Indy than Alyssa. Brittany said Alyssa going helps the alliance since Kyle is more likely to work more strongly with them. Michael said the benefit of keeping Alyssa is that she is not close to Joseph and Monte. Brittany agreed that Indy and Jasmine would side with the others in the Leftovers over them. Taylor said if they are playing for themselves, it would be Indy who goes if Daniel saves himself, as opposed to Alyssa going if they are playing for the alliance. Michael ultimately said that none of this matters until the veto competition plays out.
8:50 PM: Michael checked in with Kyle on how Daniel is feeling. He let Kyle know that he does not want Daniel to give up since he is not sold on the idea that he has to go this week. Kyle said he isn’t either. Michael let Kyle know that even Taylor brought up that having Daniel on jury might not be the worst thing for them.
