Big Brother 24 Day 32 - Brittany and Michael win the Power of Veto
August 6, 2022
8:48 AM: Feeds went down for the veto player pick.
9:18 AM: Feeds returned. The veto players are Michael, Brittany, Joseph, Monte, Terrance, Jasmine and Turner.
9:52 AM: Kyle told Daniel it sucks that they didn’t get picked. Daniel said he will start packing his bags now. Daniel said Michael told him that he is a target in the house but he doesn’t understand why. They agreed that Michael winning the veto may be their best option at this point.
1:02 PM: Brittany and Michael told Kyle they are thinking that they want to try to win the veto competition. Michael explained that it would give them options. Kyle asked where they think loyalties would be should the Leftovers make it to seven together. Michael figured that Joseph and Monte would stick together. Kyle questioned which side Taylor would be on. Brittany said she thinks that Taylor is more on their side. Brittany admitted that Turner is more of a question mark for her. Kyle suggested that he is easily influenced and he believes that he would join their side. Michael said that would give them a 5-2 advantage but he is not going to underestimate Joseph and Monte. Kyle brought up his concern that Monte may want a final two with any of Indy, Jasmine, Joseph, Taylor or Terrance one them since his reasoning for making a final two with Ameerah on Day 1 was that she is a strong African American woman that is intelligent and that he would like to see represent their season.
1:22 PM: Kyle told Brittany and Michael that he would like to see Indy, Jasmine or Terrance go because that would make him feel comfortable with moving forward with Daniel and Alyssa as the targets after that. He admitted that he gets nervous leaving all three of those people in the game as options for Joseph and Monte to work with. Michael said his concern with Daniel is that he already said he is not going to win the game so the might want to make good TV by saying he has his back only to take him out the next week. Michael added that Daniel isn’t even having conversations with him about how he can help his game. On top of that, Michael said winning the veto and taking Joseph, Monte and Terrance down would show a lot.
3:01 PM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
6:33 PM: Feeds returned. Michael won OTEV, resulting in Brittany and Michael getting the Power of Veto.
7:38 PM: Michael let Joseph and Monte know that when the competition was down to him and Terrance, Terrance told him that he has to win it and they can talk later. Joseph said he thinks Terrance wants to spread a seed to have him and Monte fight it out this week and have one of them go home. Michael agreed.
8:25 PM: Daniel spoke to Michael about the potential of working together. He said he has had no plan to come after Michael after the first week, and now that he is alone he is more available to work with Brittany and Michael. Daniel assured Michael that they would not go on the block during his HoH reigns. He stated that he can be kept around to go after the big targets.
9:24 PM: Jasmine told Michael that Daniel has no one whereas Monte is a big player and the shot is there for the taking. Jasmine pointed out that Monte’s number one, Joseph, is on the block and therefore a vote would be taken away from him. Michael asked which four would vote to evict Monte. Jasmine said Alyssa and Indy’s names. Michael said Daniel likely would too. Jasmine told Michael that she is down for whatever he wants to do. When Brittany joined them, she was counted as a vote in the event that the plan to take Monte out was acted upon. Jasmine suggested that Taylor would likely be on board too.
9:39 PM: After Jasmine left the room, Brittany and Michael said they knew it in regards to the people outside of the Leftovers working together. Michael questioned how Jasmine would know that they were all on board to take Monte out unless they are together. Michael said he and Brittany would be numbers six and seven on that side if they were to flip, then they would be the first ones thrown under the bus when the Leftovers win HoH. Brittany said that getting Daniel out should build trust with Monte. She mentioned that they could let Joseph and Monte know about Jasmine and the others not having their back.
9:54 PM: Jasmine told Alyssa that she talked to Michael and he is thinking about keeping the nominations the same but he wants the house to back him since he wants Monte out. Alyssa said that’s perfect. Jasmine said she had to do a lot of work up in the HoH room. She told Alyssa to let Michael know that she has his back and she will vote Monte out if nominations stay the same.
9:58 PM: Jasmine told Indy about her conversation with Michael. She said he is wanting people to go tell him that they would back him if he chooses to target Monte.
10:00 PM: Terrance suggested that Michael could make an iconic move. He explained that they may never get another clear shot at Monte, which is why he told Michael that he had to win the veto. Michael asked where the votes would come from. Terrance named Alyssa, Brittany, Daniel, Jasmine and Taylor. Terrance said he is so confident that they have the votes that he is willing to stay on the block in order for this move to happen.
10:08 PM: Brittany and Michael wondered if Jasmine and Terrance think that they are stupid since they both came in there with the same story. Michael said taking Monte out would be a flashy move but he came there to make smart moves.
10:11 PM: Michael told Turner that the Leftovers need to meet tonight since he is being pitched ideas that confirm their suspicions that the rest of the house is aligned. Michael said they want nominations to stay the same so that they can get Monte out. Turner said it’s crazy that Terrance would go against Monte. Michael said he is acting like he is entertaining the idea so that others will come up there suggesting it, essentially telling on themselves in the process.
10:27 PM: Taylor joined Brittany, Michael and Turner, and was filled in on the pitch that was being made. Taylor said Terrance also spoke to her about getting Monte out.
10:37 PM: Michael got Kyle caught up to speed on the latest discussions. Kyle revealed that he was sitting in the bathroom with Alyssa when Jasmine approached and said she knows she hasn’t talked much game with him but there is an opportunity for him to avoid the block this week. Kyle said Jasmine then started naming off everyone who would be on board to take Monte out. Kyle asked if they are still thinking that Daniel needs to go. Michael said yeah. Kyle said he is fine with that.
11:47 PM: Indy told Michael that she will back him up in whatever he wants to do. Michael said he appreciates that. He mentioned that people seemed to want Daniel to go as of yesterday but he is willing to listen to options if people have changed their minds. Indy said she is fine with Daniel going but her is only concern is who is next if he goes. Indy said the only people she wouldn’t vote out would be Alyssa and Jasmine, and then Joseph would be hard for her as well. Michael let Indy know that she has nothing to worry about.
11:53 PM: Alyssa told Michael that he has a big decision to make. Michael said he was kind of surprised that when it came down to the three nominees against him, they didn’t work together. Alyssa said it’s exciting that Michael has all of the power. Alyssa mentioned that Daniel was obviously the likely target heading into the week but now he has no one. Michael said he wants to hear what people think since he doesn’t want to assume that that’s the move people still want to see made. Alyssa said she doesn’t feel great about hearing that Monte wanted the veto not to be used last week because she was his target. She added that Monte has not even spoke to her since. Alyssa said she would support Michael if he decides not to use the veto, as Monte is a big threat, but she would also understand if he were to use it. Michael said he needs to see what everyone is thinking because who knows if they will get a shot like that again. Michael acknowledged that his two options are Daniel or Monte. Michael said he would need four votes if he targets Monte. Alyssa listed off Brittany. Daniel, Indy, Jasmine, Kyle and herself.
12:09 AM: Michael told Kyle that Indy didn’t really give him anything. As for Alyssa, Michael said she told him that she would support Monte going. Michael said it makes sense for Alyssa given what happened last week. Michael said Alyssa immediately said he would have her, Jasmine and Indy if he were to make the move. Kyle asked what Michael plans to do for the next day or two. Michael said he will keep listening to them but eventually say he doesn’t think that he can go after Monte given that he had already promised him safety.
12:15 AM: Michael told Brittany about the conversations he had with Alyssa and Indy. He brought up that Alyssa group herself with Indy and Jasmine. Brittany said they are the remnants of the Girl’s Girls. Kyle said that puts his mind at ease when it comes to the alliance that Joseph and Monte were approached with. Brittany said they need to make sure those two know detailed information about how badly they were being thrown under the bus.
1:18 AM: Taylor let Monte know that the other side of the house was on board with keeping the nominations the same. Monte said he has a lot of confidence in Michael so he is not worried about it. Monte said he would like to stick with the seven and make the moves needed to get to that point together.
1:51 AM: Kyle let Monte know that Terrance threw the veto to keep the nominations the same, and Alyssa, Daniel, indy, Jasmine and Terrance all went and pitched to leave nominations the same so that Monte can be targeted. Kyle said Alyssa was a little weird when she said goodnight to him, so he is wondering if she caught on that they are all against what is happening. Kyle wondered if they would start coming after him in hope of keeping Daniel once they go on the block. Monte didn’t think that they would have much to come after Kyle for.
2:47 AM: Joseph told Monte that the other side is coming for him. Monte said he is disappointed in Jasmine and Terrance. Joseph said Jasmine is the one that came up with the idea, which broke his heart. Turner joined them. Joseph said they must not have as much pull with Indy and Jasmine as they think. Monte said he understands that they don’t have any other move at this point. Monte said they have all got to go. Joseph said it probably has to be Daniel this week followed by Alyssa next week. Monte said the order doesn’t really matter at this point. Joseph said it’s wild that Terrance is pitching this idea when Monte vouched for him so hard.
3:06 AM: Michael joined Joseph, Monte and Turner. Michael asked if Monte has been filled in on everything. Monte said he knows that people are pitching to keep nominations the same and target him. Michael said Jasmine came up first and said she would target Monte if she were him, and then she listed off Alyssa, Daniel, Indy and herself as votes to make it happen. Michael said Terrance came up next and said the same thing, listing off the same votes. Michael told them Indy hinted at it but did not give any names. As for Alyssa, Michael said she had actual reasons to target Monte because of him putting her up last week and wanting the nominations to stay the same to take her out. He added that she listed the same votes as the others, showing that they are all working together.
