Big Brother 24 Day 38 - Taylor nominates Indy and Terrance
August 11, 2022
10:00 AM: Taylor spoke to the cameras. She said she is going to nominate Indy and Terrance but she needs to find a way to lie to them in order to make them believe that Monte is the target.
10:13 AM: Taylor said she is going to have to betray her word when it comes to protecting the girls, but she questioned why she is so adamant about protecting people that never wanted to protect her anyway. Taylor mentioned feeling strongly about never nominating or evicting a black woman, so Jasmine is lucky because she would go after her with a vengeance if she didn’t have a conscience.
10:20 AM: Brittany let Taylor know that Indy has been coming up to her asking who is going on the block, so she has been telling her that it’s going to be Terrance and Turner. Brittany said Indy is pushing her to talk to Taylor, saying she is closest to her, so she is replying by saying she thought Indy was part of the girls group too. Brittany pointed out that these nominations are going to draw a line in the sand for her and Taylor when it comes to the girls. Taylor said she knows but they will sell it as a plan to backdoor Monte until Monday rolls around. Taylor argued that the girls are still benefitting by Terrance leaving, though they both agreed that the girls will not see it that way. Brittany warned Taylor that she isn’t sure Terrance would leave if Alyssa or Jasmine end up on the block if Indy is taken down.
10:41 AM: Indy asked Michael if he spoke to Taylor last night. Michael said he did and the plan seems to be to target Monte, and he thinks that Terrance and Turner may be going on the block. Indy said that’s what she was told but she is worried.
10:56 AM: Indy checked in with Taylor who told her she is still leaning towards Terrance and Turner going up. Taylor admitted she is frustrated that she has done so much to prove herself to the girls and she would like to know when it is enough. Taylor said the thought of having a girl go up to play in the veto has crossed her mind. She brought up that it would make sense to the house if she were to put Indy up since they are not close and have had some conflict. Indy said she would not have put Taylor at risk had she won. Taylor said it was done to her in the second week when the girls said she had to go up to prove herself. Indy argued that it was Jasmine, not her, who did that. Indy said she would appreciate if the girls did not go up.
11:05 AM: After Indy spoke to Alyssa, Alyssa headed upstairs to talk to Taylor. Taylor explained that she is choosing between Brittany, Indy and Turner to put up as a pawn. She said she would like to show that the girls are not a united front. Alyssa said she knew Taylor wanted to do that since she had mentioned that she would put one guy and one girl up if she ever won HoH. Alyssa said she appreciates Taylor not putting her up. Taylor said she wouldn’t do that since she feels closest to Alyssa and Brittany.
11:18 AM: Indy told Alyssa and Jasmine that Taylor is in power and now is the time to prove herself to them, yet she is going to put a girl up. Jasmine said she did the same thing when she was HoH, using Taylor as a pawn. Indy said that’s different since they never had any questions about her.
11:18 AM: Taylor informed Terrance that he will be going on the block but she wants him to win the veto. Taylor suggested that he would then be the reason that Monte goes on the block. Terrance asked who would be going up next to him. Taylor revealed that it will be Indy. Terrance wondered if he would be screwed if Monte ended up winning the veto. Taylor said she would find someone else to go, even if it’s her eye candy. Terrance assured Taylor that he has her back.
11:25 AM: Jasmine checked in with Taylor. Taylor reassured Jasmine that she is not going on the block but Indy is a consideration as a pawn. Jasmine said she gets it since Taylor wouldn’t want to make it look like she is targeting all guys, which is the same strategy that she used during her HoH week. Taylor noted that Indy can now compete for the veto. Jasmine said she thinks that it will be good for her and once the plan goes through, Indy will see that Taylor can be trusted. Jasmine asked if Monte is still the target, which Taylor said yes to.
11:34 AM: Taylor filled Michael in on her talks from this morning. She said Terrance is her target but she does not care which of the nominees goes home, adding that a lot can change between now and Monday.
11:43 AM: Terrance told Michael that the move makes no sense and shows that something else is in play. Terrance said he is pissed off. Michael encouraged Terrance to remain optimistic, saying he is not going to give up hope yet.
11:45 AM: Indy told Michael she thinks that she is going on the block, which she did not expect. She asked if Michael would vote to keep her over Terrance or Turner. Michael said that he would 100%. Indy asked about keeping her over Monte as well, which Michael said that he would. Indy said she isn’t stressed but she does not want to be the first one to jury. Michael said he doesn’t think that she has anything to worry about.
12:33 PM: Terrance told Alyssa and Jasmine that it will be his fourth time on the block and he does not have the energy for it. He said he has heard that he is going up against Indy. Terrance said “I hate that b*tch” in reference to Taylor. He told Alyssa and Jasmine that if they didn’t see the other side was aligned, they have got to see it now.
1:00 PM: Joseph told Indy and Jasmine that he will speak to Taylor in hope of figuring out what her thought process was. Indy said she doesn’t care. Joseph pointed out that Indy doesn’t hide that she doesn’t trust Taylor. Indy said she will point to the moments in which she defended Taylor if she does end up going on the block.
1:04 PM: Indy told Jasmine that she defended Taylor and if she goes up, she will have a target and nobody is going to be able to stop her.
1:09 PM: Joseph spoke to Taylor about potential replacement nominee options. He threw himself and Kyle into the mix, suggesting that it would blow up the alliance on the other side since they believe that the two guys are in it. Taylor said she already told Alyssa that she is not putting Kyle up, and she would prefer not to put Joseph up. Taylor told Joseph that she wants the nominations to stay the same. If not, she said it would be crazy for her to put Alyssa up after all of the reassurances that she gave her but she may have to do it. Joseph said Indy is going to expect him to use the veto on her if he wins it, then Alyssa would have to go up. Taylor said she has to consider putting Jasmine up as well. Joseph told her not to if it would go against everything that she said heading into the house.
3:11 PM: Feeds went down for the nomination ceremony.
4:30 PM: Taylor nominated Indy and Terrance for eviction.
4:31 PM: Indy asked Turner if he would use the veto on her if she were to pick him. Turner said he would.
4:37 PM: Indy told Taylor there are so many situations in which she had her back without her knowing. Indy said when Daniel put Taylor up and it looked like she was going to leave, she wanted to give her a vote so that she wouldn’t go out unanimously. When Monte was HoH, Indy said she was up there telling him that Daniel and Nicole were throwing his name out there. Indy said only Jasmine knows about that but she was the first one to bring their names forward. Indy said she has had Taylor’s back and has not said to put her up. Taylor thanked her and said they know who the target is this week, implying that it is Monte.
5:00 PM: Taylor told Jasmine she said coming into this game that she would not nominate a black woman. Jasmine said she had to in week two, suggesting that she did so in order to throw people off after a season in which the Cookout stuck together. Jasmine said it would not happen again from that point forward. Jasmine admitted that something rubbed her the wrong way when Ameerah told her Taylor talked about rooting for her since she is black. Jasmine said Ameerah pointed out that she was not brought up during that conversation. Jasmine told Taylor it made her keep her distance from Taylor. Taylor reassured Jasmine that it was not meant in a way to exclude her as a black woman.
5:20 PM: Terrance asked Joseph who he would play for in the veto competition. They discussed that Monte is apparently the target, so Joseph said he would leave the person up there that gives them the best shot at sending Monte home. Terrance said he wants either nominee to be pulled down so that he can see what the truth is.
5:25 PM: Joseph let Taylor know that Terrance wants her to be put in a situation in which she has to name a replacement nominee, as he isn’t buying that Monte is the target. Taylor asked if they would have the votes to keep Monte if he were to go up. Joseph said they would but Monte is not going to want to touch the block. Joseph offered himself up as an option for the replacement nominee. He said he wont win the veto because he would like to leave her that option. Joseph said this would show that he is trying to protect Taylor long term. Taylor said she would have to win the veto and take Indy down. They discussed that Joseph would stay by a vote of 5-3 over Terrance.
5:55 PM: Michael joined Joseph and Taylor. Joseph let him know that he offered to go up as the replacement nominee. Michael said he thinks Joseph would stay unanimously over Terrance but hopefully they don’t find themselves needing to go that route. Joseph said he would only do it because he trusts them. All three said they hope that nominations can stay the same.
6:14 PM: Joseph told Michael that if Indy picks him to play and expects him to use the veto, he may have to do it. Taylor agreed. Michael said he can pitch it as though Taylor wanted him to use it.
6:35 PM: Joseph told Kyle and Monte about the plan to put him up if a replacement nominee is needed.
7:30 PM: Turner pointed out that if nominations stay the same, there will be one person on the block who cannot win a competition and one who they think is strong, but he doesn’t know if Taylor has a preferred target. Monte suggested that Indy would have to go, which Turner agreed with. Taylor said her preferred target is Terrance but there is a point at which she would not care who goes.
7:37 PM: Joseph told Taylor he will tell the other side that she has her guard up with him, setting up for him to potentially go on the block. Joseph said that Indy going home next to Terrance is probably worse for Taylor’s game than Indy going home next to him would be, since nobody would blame Taylor for that one. Taylor said someone will have to win the veto and take Terrance down then. Joseph agreed that it would need to happen if Indy is the target.
8:57 PM: Indy told Jasmine and Joseph she doesn’t think that she is leaving. Joseph said Monte seems to be Taylor’s target, as she would like to get a big physical threat out.
9:17 PM: Terrance asked Indy what she thinks the reasoning behind the nominations was. Indy said she is not close enough with Taylor and never talks game with her, so she is not mad about it. Terrance said he isn’t mad about it either.
9:22 PM: Jasmine told Indy that she wants Monte, not Terrance, to go home this week. Indy agreed and said they have the numbers. Indy counted herself, Alyssa, Jasmine, Joseph and Kyle as the numbers that they would need to evict Monte.
9:40 PM: Michael told Brittany that Joseph might go up as a pawn because he offered to do so. Michael pointed out that it shows he is being a team player but it’s also a potential opportunity. Michael figured that Kyle would be on board with evicting Joseph. While both said they would be on board with getting Joseph out, they did said they do not want to screw Taylor over on her HoH, and they would only make the move if the other members of the Leftovers were fine with doing it. Michael said he does not even want to bring it up to them until after the veto ceremony, or else Taylor will not put Joseph up. The two agreed that Monte and Turner are bigger threats than Joseph is in terms of competitions.
10:06 PM: Terrance asked Taylor what she would do if she were to win the veto. Taylor told him Indy asked if she would take her down, and she said yes but that might have been a lie.
10:17 PM: Taylor told Brittany that she is fine with either Indy or Terrance going home. Taylor said she cannot keep the nominations the same if she wins the veto. Brittany agreed. Taylor talked about the plan to put Joseph up in order to make it look like she was trying to take a big shot but missed. Brittany asked if it would be okay for her to use the veto on Indy if she happens to win it. Taylor said yes. She added that anyone who gets picked can use it on anyone, and whoever goes home is who goes home.
10:21 PM: Taylor told Brittany and Michael that no matter who wins the veto, they can take someone down, she will nominate Joseph, and then she look heartbroken and shocked when he doesn’t leave. Taylor said she would like to see Indy and Joseph on the block come eviction night, even though Terrance is her personal target. She explained that she cannot control Indy, so sometimes the enemy that you know is the better option.
