Big Brother 24 Day 46 - Terrance wins the Power of Veto
August 20, 2022
10:39 AM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
2:01 PM: Feeds returned. Terrance won the Power of Veto.
2:37 PM: Joseph told Kyle and Turner he thinks that they have one last shot, which would be the three of them approaching Terrance together to let him know that Alyssa exposed Old School. Kyle said he is down but has no idea if Terrance would entertain it. Joseph said they might as well try because he is going home anyway if not.
3:31 PM: Jasmine asked Michael if he has been able to chat with Brittany. Michael said they have touched base a little bit and he thinks that she plans on leaving things the same. Jasmine said that’s fine if the plan is still what it is supposed to be. Jasmine let Michael know that she is not coming after him, Brittany or Taylor. Jasmine said Taylor is planning to keep her since they have had a relationship all along whereas Monte has only recently begun getting closer to her. As for Brittany, Jasmine said she thinks that Brittany is wanting to respect Michael’s HoH. Michael said he thinks the four of them knew that all they had to do was ensure that Monte did not win the veto this week.
3:58 PM: Monte told Taylor they are going to have to work together to see if anyone is lying about what happened at Dyre Fest, as it’s possible that Terrance could be convinced to get on board with lying about who had the veto to make it seem like Kyle and Turner had no choice but to evict Joseph since two of the alliance members were on the block. Monte pointed out that Michael did well in the veto competition and his guesses were spot on but he was folding all the time. Taylor said he is good no matter what the competition is. Monte said he is solid with the alliance but he is not going to assume that Michael would ever choose him over Brittany. Monte asked if Taylor thinks that Michael would ever choose her over Brittany. Taylor said she thinks Brittany knows there isn’t a world where Michael would take anyone but her since it’s an easy win. Monte said he is trying to think ahead to what happens when they get down to five, suggesting that Kyle and Turner would be the first two to go from the Leftovers. Taylor said they will see if they are a five or a four moving forward, depending on whether or not Joseph makes it through the week, and then they can discuss what they want things to look like beyond that. Monte said Kyle has got to realize that if he goes against the alliance and gets rid of Joseph, he has to hope and pray that he, Alyssa or Turner win HoH since Terrance cannot compete. Monte said Kyle is losing him if he gets rid of Joseph. Monte said Kyle will have committed Big Brother suicide if he takes Joseph out to save Alyssa, and he and Alyssa will have to go up next week.
4:42 PM: Monte told Brittany that they should probably form a strategy to figure out how to compare notes on the stories that they get from those who come back into the house, as any discrepancies could be a sign that they are lying.
5:37 PM: Brittany asked Michael and Taylor if they can believe that they are final eight and make up more than a fourth of the house at this point. Taylor let them know that Monte is 100% on board as he said they will hope and pray that Joseph comes back but they are final four if not.
6:09 PM: Brittany spoke to the cameras. She said she pictures herself being in the final two chairs with Michael by her side, and Julie pulling out the keys that say “Brittany”. Brittany said there is still a lot of game to be played and she does not know if she would beat Michael but she would be happy to get first or second, so she would be happy no matter what if she can make it to the end with her best friend who is another strong player.
6:18 PM: Joseph told Kyle he is going to tell Terrance that there is an alliance in the house between Michael, Brittany and whoever, and if he has any chance against them he needs to keep him since they trust him. Joseph said he is going to leave Kyle and Turner out of it. He added that he will say Alyssa and Jasmine have a final two. Joseph told Kyle he is going to have to emphasize that a showmance is a huge target, so it’s not good for Terrance’s game to work with one.
6:39 PM: Joseph asked Kyle if there is anything else that he can bring up to Terrance. He said he needs Kyle to back him up since this would help his game if he goes back into the house without Alyssa. Joseph suggested that Brittany, Michael and Taylor must be something based on Michael’s picks. Joseph said that none of them can afford to lose someone from the Leftovers or else they wont be able to have the majority within the alliance. Kyle said the four inside of the house are having those conversations right now. Joseph told Kyle that if he leaves, Kyle and Turner will be on the outside given that Kyle didn’t use the veto and Turner sided with him on it.
7:09 PM: Taylor told Brittany not to be surprised if Monte comes to her talking about where he lands within the four or five and how she feels about Michael in terms of whether or not he is beatable. Brittany said she knows what would need to have happen in order for her to have any shot at winning. Brittany told Taylor she thinks this is an incorrect perception but the other Leftovers may see the two of them as the easiest to beat. Taylor agreed. Brittany said that will allow them to get far. Taylor said she is glad that Monte has Kyle as a target. She mentioned that they can take care of Kyle and Turner, then let Monte try to go for Michael. Taylor said Joseph has an impeccable social game but he is beatable at competitions. Taylor said her heart is always with their final three but they have a solid backup plan if not. Brittany said that’s exactly how she feels since they need a contingency plan in the event that Michael is not there.
7:48 PM: Turner told Alyssa and Kyle that Terrance is definitely not going to use the veto since he made his nominations for a reason. That being said, Turner mentioned that they will be sitting pretty come the end of the week. Kyle pointed out that the four remaining inside are going to be bonded. Turner agreed and suggested that they tell Terrance that the four of them need to stick together. Turner said he hopes that he is not the target, adding that he trusts them with his life and is fine with the veto not being used.
7:53 PM: Kyle warned Terrance that Joseph is going to come to him to pitch the there is an alliance that doesn’t include them, plus he is going to blame Old School being outed on Alyssa. Kyle stressed that Joseph’s allegiance is to Monte and Taylor. Terrance agreed. He asked Kyle what his plan will be once they get back in to the house. Both agreed that Michael likely went the safe route and will target Jasmine. Kyle said he talked to Alyssa and Turner about heading back in and joining a house of four people who had an alliance prior but got another week to bond. Kyle figured that he wouldn’t have any blood on his hands since Terrance won HoH and PoV, so he said he could try to stay in the group to get information. If he wins HoH, Kyle said he would nominate Michael and Monte. Terrance agreed that those two going up would have to be the move. Kyle let Terrance know that the name of their alliance was The Leftovers. He explained it has been going for weeks now and said Joseph, Monte and Taylor eventually took charge of it. Kyle asked how Terrance wants to handle Turner being in the alliance since he has not yet come clean about it. Terrance said he would like for Turner to stop lying. Kyle said he will wait and then tell Turner that they should come clean with Terrance about it later this week.
8:05 PM: Joseph asked Kyle if he planted the seed with Terrance. Kyle said he tried to, telling him that there is a bigger alliance out there and that the showmance is hurting his game. Joseph said he is going to leave the Leftovers out of it since he wants to make sure that Kyle and Turner are still safe if he leaves.
8:07 PM: Feeds went down and did not return for the night.
