Big Brother 24 Day 62 - Michael decides not to use the Power of Veto
September 5, 2022
11:24 AM: Feeds went down for the veto ceremony.
12:18 PM: Feeds returned. Michael decided not to use the Power of Veto. Alyssa and Terrance remain nominated.
12:24 PM: Michael, Monte and Turner met up to discuss aligning in order to ensure that none of them, as the biggest threats, get taken out. Monte said it was surprising to hear that the girls were trying to form something at this stage in the game. Turner brought up Brittany trying to make a final two with him and suggesting that Michael will have to be backdoored at some point. The guys discussed trying to figure out if Brittany and Taylor are on board with the girls alliance, as they would feel more comfortable keeping Alyssa around if it is not really a thing.
12:43 PM: Monte told Michael he doesn’t know why Brittany would approach Turner. He wondered what her intentions were and if she was just trying to keep herself safe with him. Michael said Brittany is a fan of the game and nobody comes in there wanting to finish second, so he could see her plotting against him from that point of view. Michael said Turner coming to them with this information after everything is set makes him feel better about the information since Turner doesn’t have to do it just to save himself. Monte said there does not seem to be any holes in Turner’s story, so he believes what he is saying.
1:01 PM: Terrance told Monte he knows that he is Michael’s target and the house does not want to go against the process. Monte said he is willing to be a vote for Terrance but it is a matter of what kind of pitch he can make to the others. Monte pointed out that there seems to be a delay in getting Alyssa out every week, which makes him even more scared of her. Monte asked why Taylor would feel obligated to get Terrance out this week. Terrance said he doesn’t get it and asked why they wouldn’t try to go back to back in terms of having two black winners in a row. Terrance said Michael and Turner need to go on the block next week.
2:44 PM: Taylor told Monte she doesn’t trust a word that Terrance says. She added that she doesn’t want to keep someone who acted the way that they did last week when it comes to what happened with Kyle. Monte said he is worried about Alyssa from a jury perspective. Taylor argued that she would have to get to the end for that to matter. Monte said it would be better for either of them to sit next to Terrance than to sit next to Alyssa. Taylor asked what the eviction order would be if Alyssa were to go. Monte said Terrance would have to be the number one target next week. Taylor said Terrance seemed to be threatening her by going over jury scenarios and listing himself as the deciding vote in many of them. Taylor said she would prefer to see Terrance go this week. Taylor shared with Monte that the girls had discussed working together. Monte later said that he is going to take a leap of faith since Taylor did that with him. He revealed that Turner said Brittany came to him and outed the girls working together and said she wants a final two with him because he is the only person that she could beat.
3:43 PM: Taylor spoke to the cameras and wondered if there is a world in which she could go to the end with Brittany and Terrance. She said the eviction order would have to be Alyssa, Michael, Turner and then Monte.
4:18 PM: Taylor let Brittany know that she is all in on the two of them. Brittany said the same in return. Brittany said it spooks her how close Monte and Turner are, and she would be very upset if Monte were to blindside them by keeping Turner over one of them. Taylor said Turner would have to go next week then. Brittany agreed since it would leave Monte with no choice but to stay loyal to them.
4:35 PM: Brittany asked Monte, Taylor and Turner how hey are feeling about this week. Monte said Alyssa has been running amuck and still wont admit to coming after him but Terrance did some shady stuff last week. Monte said the only good argument that Terrance gives is about Alyssa having the votes in jury. Monte said he ultimately does not care who goes. Brittany said she sees pros and cons to both but thinks Alyssa would be easier to beat in competitions. Turner said he does not care either way. Taylor said one can go this week followed by the other leaving next week. Taylor talked about having clear reasoning for Terrance to go after what transpired last week. Turner brought up that it may be easiest to take Alyssa out while she is on the block. They all agreed that they would be comfortable with putting her up next week if she stays. Turner then said it comes down to who has a better shot at winning HoH. When they all agreed that Terrance is that person, they decided that he needs to be the one to go.
6:00 PM: Feeds went down.
8:07 PM: Feeds returned after the houseguests had a Labour Day party.
8:32 PM: Monte asked Terrance how he is making out since he has noticed that he is quiet today. Terrance said he can feel the energy and knows when people are acting funny. Terrance said he is not tripping on it and will not let anyone else’s energy affect his. Monte said that’s crazy since people shouldn’t get treated differently if they are on the block. Terrance said they do, especially if it’s the person that they ant out.
11:40 PM: Monte told Michael that he talked to Taylor and asked if she talked any game with Alyssa, and Taylor said Alyssa tried to mention girls to the end. Monte said that felt like a good sign that Taylor is not taking the girls thing seriously. Monte said he isn’t even sure if Taylor ever considered it because there would be no reason to tell him if so. Monte said it was weird because Brittany joined them and Michael was also out in the yard at the time, so Taylor suggested that the four of them talk but Brittany made excuses like she had to finish meditation so they can do it later. Monte questioned why Brittany is delaying things. He also pointed out that while Taylor was not considering the girls alliance, Brittany told Turner about it and said Taylor being on board with it is why Taylor cannot be trusted. Monte figured that Brittany is trying to cover all of her bases. Monte said Taylor asked him about getting Turner out next week, saying Brittany is on board with it, yet Brittany is approaching Turner about a final two. As for this week, Monte said he is fine with Terrance going this week but it’s another week that Alyssa gets to slide by. Monte worried that Brittany, not Taylor, may make a move against them by keeping Alyssa off of the block if she wins. Michael said he hopes that the four of them can meet to talk things over.
12:14 AM: Brittany told Michael and Taylor she doesn’t trust that Monte and Turner would target Alyssa next week even though they claimed that they were gung-ho to do so earlier in the day. Brittany said she is afraid that they are scared of the three of them and will take a shot at them. Taylor said they can’t let them win HoH then. As for next week, Taylor said she would rather take out a comp threat (Turner) and then they can take out the jury threat (Alyssa) if they are not good at comps. Brittany brought up thinking there is something there between Monte and Turner. Michael and Taylor didn’t think that Turner told Monte who he was going to put up prior to nominations last week.
12:21 AM: Brittany, Michael, Monte and Taylor met up outside. Taylor asked if this week’s target is Terrance. Michael said he would prefer that. As for next week, they discussed that Alyssa and Turner need to go on the block if any of them win HoH. Taylor suggested taking out the competition threat, Turner, before going after Alyssa. Monte said he is fine with either. Michael said they can make a judgment call after seeing how they fair in the competitions during the double eviction. Taylor said she just wants everyone to speak up rather than be quiet and then later be upset about how things went down.
12:36 AM: Monte told Turner that Brittany is definitely playing both sides since she was the first one to bring up outside just minutes ago that Turner should be the number one target for next week. Monte said he thinks Brittany made that final two with him to ensure that he didn’t put her up if he won. Monte said it was also alarming that Brittany questioned if he knew that Turner was going to put her and Taylor up beforehand. Monte said he denied it. Turner hoped that Michael would be able to sway Brittany or Taylor in the right direction if one of them win HoH next week.
12:38 AM: Brittany told Taylor she hopes Monte and Turner realize it’s not smart to take each other to the final two. Brittany said they will not know until Monte betrays them. She expects that Turner would put the two of them up since he has already done it before, but she hopes that Monte would go after Michael before them. Taylor asked Brittany if she is sold on Turner for next week. Brittany said she is open to discuss it. Brittany talked about the game being a big question mark since everyone seems good with everyone at this point. Brittany said worst case scenario would be Turner winning HoH next week.
1:06 AM: Taylor told Monte that they should talk tomorrow. Monte asked if Brittany has been acting different. Taylor said not very different but she is nervous about Monte and Turner. Monte said he is fine with putting up Turner. Monte said Taylor should try to see if Brittany will tell her about the final two with Turner, because she is running amuck on everyone if not as there is no reason why she wouldn’t tell one of her closest people.
1:13 AM: Monte let Turner know that Taylor said Brittany is telling her that he and Turner are working together. Turner said Brittany is imploding. Monte said Taylor must be able to see that Brittany is acting strange and she cannot be sitting here and blindly accepting what Brittany is saying as truth.
1:52 AM: Turner told Michael he heard about Brittany saying that he should be the target next week. Michael confirmed that he was there for the conversation. Turner asked Michael for his thoughts on this week. Michael said he thinks if either Alyssa or Terrance stay, two of them will end up on the block if one of the girls win. Michael suggested there is a better shot that they will turn on Alyssa than they will on Terrance due to her having more jury votes, making it better for Alyssa to stay this week. Turner said he isn’t really intimidated by either of them in competitions, so hopefully he or Monte can win. Michael said Brittany must be panicked about something because this is like backstage all over again. He wondered what could have freaked her out.
