Big Brother 24 Day 67 - Brittany wins the Power of Veto
September 10, 2022
6:14 AM: Feeds returned. Brittany won the Power of Veto.
6:22 AM: Alyssa asked Turner what he thinks Monte will do. Turner said he thinks that Monte will nominate Taylor. He told Alyssa he has no idea how anyone else will vote but she knows how he is going to vote.
6:25 AM: Brittany spoke to Taylor about feeling alone the last couple of days. Taylor said she felt like she didn’t talk to her because everyone was saying Brittany had been throwing her under the bus. Brittany asked why Taylor didn’t bring it to her. Taylor said people were telling her things that she had indeed told Brittany. Brittany claimed that it was lies since she has been with Taylor since the beginning. She mentioned becoming the odd one out and having to win today in order to save her game.
6:30 AM: Brittany and Taylor continued their discussion with Taylor airing out all of the things that she heard Brittany had been saying. Brittany denied having said anything to Turner, adding that she doesn’t even talk to him. Brittany said Turner was targeting Taylor and is spinning up lies to make her a target. When Brittany asked why Taylor would believe him, Taylor pointed out that there seemed to be a distance between her and Brittany even before she heard any of these things. Taylor admitted it feels convenient to have this conversation now that Brittany won the veto but she was struggling with how to address it. Taylor said she had wanted to win the veto for herself so that she could save Brittany. Taylor told Brittany she can even go ask Monte what she had said she would do with the veto, and how she mentioned that she was sticking with Brittany even if she lied to her.
7:26 AM: Brittany and Taylor talked about how to move forward this week. Brittany suggested that Turner needs to go on the block and then Alyssa will be on an island next week. Brittany said they can lock in their final three with Monte if he makes that move.
7:57 AM: Turner told Monte that Brittany and Taylor must be plotting for him to go up. Monte assured Turner that he will not be hitting the block. He explained that he doesn’t trust the girls to keep Turner over Alyssa. Monte said Alyssa leaving would not make him feel horrible and he was not counting on her as a jury vote anyway. If Taylor goes, Monte said he would be screwed since she would curse him up and down in the jury house. Monte said he is more comfortable with Taylor staying. He said they would then just have to beat Brittany next week. Turner said he is down for that if Monte thinks that Taylor can be convinced to go after Brittany. Monte said he doesn’t think Taylor is opposed to the idea of putting Brittany up. Monte said he hopes Turner would be fine with voting Alyssa out, even if he wants to pin it all on him by saying he would have broke the tie to send her out anyway. Turner said he will continue to tell Alyssa she is fine until a day or two prior to the vote. Monte said he is going to play possum with the others, trying to get them to show their cards without revealing his plan for the week.
9:08 AM: Alyssa promised Taylor she would not saying anything about her if they end up on the block next to each other. Taylor agreed. Alyssa asked how Taylor’s conversation with Brittany went. Taylor said she feels like her friend is still there and they will be friends no matter what. Alyssa asked if Taylor feels good with Monte. She said she does but that doesn’t mean that she cannot be blindsided.
10:33 AM: Brittany told Monte she had a really good conversation with Taylor and was filled in on more details of what was said last week. Brittany insisted that the things Turner was saying are bogus. She pointed out that she has been on the block during all three of his HoH reigns. Brittany said her conversation with Turner was to let him know that she was on board with the Michael plan, and she doesn’t know how he interpreted it as making a final two deal. Moving forward, Brittany said she is locked in to their final three with Taylor. Brittany said she and Taylor would vote to evict Turner if he goes on the block, saving Monte from having to break a tie. From there, Brittany said all they would have to do is beat Alyssa next week. Brittany explained that she needs around $40,000 to start a family, so she is making decisions based on that and knows she is unlikely to win first place against anyone. Brittany said she wants Taylor to stay. Monte said he is weighing his options but he could keep Taylor safe if Brittany votes to keep her. Brittany said the message Monte would be sending by keeping Turner is that he is okay with her and Taylor being the next to go. Monte pointed out that Brittany said Alyssa leaving would be best for his game yesterday. Brittany said she did not know the full extent of what Turner was saying until Taylor filled her in this morning. Monte also brought up that Brittany was saying yesterday how Taylor pushed for the girls alliance yet she is now pinning it all on Alyssa. Monte added that Brittany failed to let him know when Alyssa said his name as a target. Brittany explained that she didn’t want to spread things that may or may not be true. She continued to say that she would be locked in with Monte and Taylor moving forward.
11:35 AM: Monte spoke to the cameras. He said his conversation with Brittany was complete BS. He said he made Brittany aware of everything yesterday so there is no way she got any new information from Taylor. Monte said Brittany made so many lies that he cannot even remember them all. Monte said he has a final two with Turner and is not going to get rid of him this week when Turner would be a bigger target heading into next week. Monte said he will unfortunately have to put Taylor on the block but he is fine with voting Alyssa out if it comes down to a tiebreaker, though he thinks that Turner will end up voting her out anyway.
12:04 PM: Alyssa cried while speaking to Monte. She said the veto result was the worst case scenario, and she is now probably the target. She pointed out that Brittany and Taylor spoke for two hours after the competition. Monte said his conversation with Brittany was horrendous and he caught her in many lies. Monte said his only two options are Taylor and Turner, so he would like to hear her thoughts. Alyssa said she loves them both so much but she thinks that Brittany and Taylor have each other’s backs, so the best case scenario would be Taylor going on the block. Alyssa let Monte know that she would love to be in the final two with him since Turner has the most wins and was the one to take Michael out. Monte admitted that it’s hard for him to see himself putting Turner on the block. Monte said if Taylor is that hell bent on protecting Brittany’s image, he is going to have to consider all of his options this week. Monte said he isn’t sure if Taylor would take Brittany out over him next week.
12:19 PM: Monte told Taylor that Brittany lied so much during his conversation with her that it was testing his patience. Monte said Brittany also indirectly threatened him with her vote for next week. Monte said he can tell that Brittany would vote him out. Monte explained that he feels she would vote him out since she has made final two deals with Taylor and Turner but not him. Taylor said she is denying the final two with Turner. Monte wasn’t convinced. Taylor said Brittany has made it clear to her that she wants Turner out this week followed by Alyssa next week. Monte said there is no benefit to him in having Alyssa staying since she cannot beat Brittany in competitions and she will pick Turner over him. Monte added that he feels as though he is more likely to stay over Turner if Alyssa is gone. Monte said he knows they would relish at the opportunity to take Turner out this week if he puts him up, and then that makes him vulnerable next week. Monte said he needs as much of an army as he can to make sure that Brittany goes next week. Taylor said Brittany conveyed that she wanted a final three with them. Monte said it was more so a threat that was presented to him. Monte let Taylor know that Turner is on board with taking Alyssa and Brittany out over the next two weeks. Monte said if he did put Turner up, he would ask that Taylor vote for him so that he could keep him, which he knows would be a huge ask. Monte said he is fine with Taylor taking a shot at Turner next week if she wants to, but he does not want to head into next week feeling like he has to win a veto to save his game. Monte told Taylor that he will pick her over Turner if it comes down to them in the final three. Taylor said she fears that it’s Turner’s game if they keep him around. Monte said he is fluid in terms of being willing to consider their options next week. He added that getting to three with Brittany is ideal but he is looking at what routes they can take to ensure that they get there. Monte reiterated that Turner is on board with keeping Taylor. Taylor said Turner has lied to her face before about not putting her up. Monte said he understands but it’s more so about what people have done recently, and Brittany has done things behind her back even though she and Taylor have a close relationship. Monte told Taylor that she is fine as long as she trusts Brittany, because he will break the tie in her favour.
5:15 PM: Brittany told Taylor that Monte would be risking her game by putting her up when they have a final three. Brittany said it makes no sense that Monte can trust him to keep Taylor but not to keep Turner. Brittany swore that she would not target Monte next week if he does the right thing. Taylor said she doesn’t know how to convince Monte to target Turner this week. Brittany said it feels insurmountable and as though the miscommunication last week is not worth the punishment this week. Brittany reassured Taylor that she will be voting for her to stay no matter what. Taylor said she will not be taking Turner to the final three, so she will be keeping Monte over him if they end up on the block next to each other.
6:08 PM: Monte filled Turner in on his conversation with Brittany. Monte said Brittany pushed for Turner to go up and threatened him with jury votes. Monte said it disgusted him when Brittany brought personal things into the game by bringing up the $40,000 that she needs to start a family. Monte said Alyssa told him that she would prefer to see Taylor on the block, making him think that the girls alliance isn’t a real thing. As for Taylor, Monte said she is open to a final three with Turner. Turner said he would also like that. Monte said he believes in that final three as well. Turner said he will speak with Taylor later today to reassure her that he would keep her if she goes on the block.
3:19 AM: Taylor asked Turner if he will vote to keep her if she goes on the block. Turner said definitely. He said he is totally fine with sending Alyssa home if it means that the three of them can make it to the end. He pointed out that Brittany is pitching final threes with everyone, invalidating all of those deals. Turner asked if Taylor is on board. She confirmed that she is. Monte did as well. Monte said that even if Brittany decides to pull a fast one, Turner is solid and then he can break the tie to send Alyssa out.
