Big Brother 24 Day 76 - Brittany makes her pitch to Monte

12:20 PM: Brittany made her pitch to Monte. She pointed out that Monte and Turner have played similar games, given that they were both founding members of the Leftovers and they both played a role in Michael’s eviction. However Brittany said she thinks that people will see Turner as having made the bigger moves. Brittany told Monte that taking Turner to the end would result in a close jury vote. Monte said he doesn’t disagree with any of that. Brittany brought up that if Monte wants to bring Taylor, he doesn’t win any extra money by making it harder on himself to get to that point with her. Brittany argued that she and Turner have done similarly in mental competitions but he is stronger in physical competitions. Monte told Brittany everything she said is true and all that he is doing to do this week is manage risk. Monte talked about Turner not doing well when it comes to remembering the events of the season, which is what he expects the final competition to focus on. Monte added that the biggest risk would be not making the final two at all, and it would make no sense for Brittany and Taylor to take him over each other. On the other hand, he said he is almost 100% likely to make it there if Turner stays. Monte said he would rather bank on himself beating Turner in a competition about the days over worrying if he will even make it to the final two with Brittany and Taylor. Brittany said it would be a blunder on Turner’s part if he were to take Monte to the end. As for Brittany’s argument that Turner flips on people, Monte said he did so while taking directives from The Pound and The Leftovers, so it wasn’t like Turner did it without him knowing what was going on. Monte said Turner would deserve to win if he duped him as he would know that he made the best decision with the information that he had at this time, because he does not think Turner’s past moves suggest that he will do that.
1:17 PM: Brittany spoke to the cameras, telling her husband that she wanted to get further for him. She said she is sorry and she was so close.
1:21 PM: Monte filled Turner in on Brittany’s pitch. Monte said Brittany ranted about how he should fear Turner as a competitor and how he should not trust him to pick him at the end given that he has been so unpredictable all season long. Monte pointed out that Brittany herself had input on those decisions that Turner made. Turner said his decisions were only wild from the perspective of the other side of the house. Monte said there were so many holes in her argument that it is not even worth the back and forth exchange. Monte then told Turner that he had a conversation with Taylor last night about comments she made and how she took the headphones from him the day prior. Monte said Taylor apologized up and down for the comments but said the headphone situation was due to her trying to show Brittany that she was welcome in the HoH room just like Monte and Turner are. Monte said it was more of a power trip since she didn’t even give the headphones to Brittany. Monte said he told Taylor that this kind of stuff could be what people were talking about when it comes to her rubbing people the wrong way. Monte pointed out that she is saying this stuff and doing this stuff to someone she is intimate with, so he cant imagine what she would have said to other people. Monte told Turner he plans to keep his distance and have more conversations as friends rather than going straight to something physical with each other.
4:31 PM: Taylor told Monte she hates that she gave him a reason to believe she is not the gentle version of herself. Taylor said that’s who she wants to be when she is with him. Monte said he would prefer that but it’s a little bit concerning that she feels the need to be one person in one situation and another person in another situation. Monte suggested that she would be happier being herself. Taylor said she doesn’t think everyone deserves the most vulnerable version of her. Monte questioned if they deserve the coldest version of her. Taylor feels as though she is somewhere in the middle. Taylor explained that she is not going to work hard to alter the first impression when a conversation would easily melt it all away. She added that she is not going to change how she carries herself to make others feel comfortable.
4:46 PM: Taylor told Monte that she has chose the hard route in deciding to go to the end with him. Monte asked how so. Taylor explained that sitting next to him will not be easy but that is what she has chosen to do. Taylor said she doesn’t want Monte to feel as though she is trying to fight Brittany’s battle, as it’s more so about fighting the battle that she has chosen with him. Monte said that’s fair but it boils down to the final competition and he does not think that Turner has the best memory when it comes to what has happened in the house.
6:27 PM: Brittany spoke to the cameras. She said the big news of the day is that Monte has pretty much made up his mind that she would beat him in mental competitions, so he does not want her there past this week. Brittany said she does not think there is anything more that she can say. Brittany mentioned that Monte hasn’t even played that great of a game and she would vote for Taylor over him if they got to the end together. She wondered if the girls and Michael would be on board to do the same, which would be enough votes to secure a victory for Taylor.
7:32 PM: Monte told Taylor he thinks that she can outlast Turner in an endurance competition and then he can beat him in a mental competition. Monte explained that he would feel less pressure to win every competition in that scenario with Turner still in the house. Taylor let Monte know that as long as he is locked in with her in terms of taking each other to final two, she can be more comfortable with Brittany leaving this week.
