HoH Competition - “Wheel Of First Impressions”

The houseguests were given a stack of cards and a wheel with their names on it.
Roddy was randomly selected to go first. The cards had questions on them and Roddy had to choose two and answer the questions on the cards with the names of two houseguests. They then spun the wheel. Whoever’s name it landed on had to choose to eliminate one of the two houseguests.

The final two remaining in the competition were Lisa and Lori. The houseguests then voted on which of the two they wanted to be Head of Household.

The Power of Veto (PoV)

It was announced that the veto gives the holder the power to take someone off of the block, saving them from eviction. Each week all of the houseguests will compete to earn the veto. The holder can save one of the nominated houseguests. The HoH cannot nominate the veto winner. If a nominee wins the PoV, they cannot save themselves but they can save their fellow nominee. If the HoH wins the PoV, they can leave the nominations how they are or change one of the nominees.

Veto Competition - "Saving Face"

The houseguests will play in order of random drawing. When it is their turn to take control of the ball launcher, the houseguests must take aim and fire at the cut out of the houseguest that they would like to eliminate from winning the PoV. Before shooting, the houseguest must announce who they are shooting at.

Each houseguest will get four shots per round. When your tube has three balls in it, you are out of contention to win the PoV. The last houseguest standing will win the Power of Veto.

Julie will ask a series of questions related to items and events that occurred in specific rooms of the house. The houseguests must answer which room they think correctly answers the questions. Answer correctly to stay in the game. Answer incorrectly and you will be eliminated. The last houseguest standing will become the new HoH.

Veto Competition - “An Offer You Can’t Refuse”

One of the boxes at the table contains the Power of Veto. The houseguest who ends up with that box at the end of the game will win the Power of Veto. The object of the game is to make someone an offer that they cannot refuse. If they accept it, you take possession of their box.

The object of the game is to knock the person’s ball you do not want to win the Power of Veto in to the pool. Each houseguest will have one shot per round and must strike the person’s ball with the cue ball. Before each shot you must name the houseguest you are shooting for. You may not knock your own ball in. The player who has the final ball on the table will win the Power of Veto.

The houseguests have been given paddles with the face of Lori, Tonya and Amy, the evicted houseguests. They have also been given a paddle with the face of Roddy, the outgoing HoH, and one with an “X” on it. The houseguests must raise the paddle that has the face of the houseguest that is the correct answer to the question. If it’s none of the above, raise the paddle with the “X” on it. Answer correctly to stay in the game. Answer incorrectly and you will be eliminated. The last houseguest standing will become the new HoH.

Each houseguest will take a starting position on one of the veto symbols. They will take turns taking one step in any direction on the game board. Once you move, you will flip over the square that you were previously standing on. You may not step on a turned over square. Once you can no longer take a step, you are eliminated from the competition. The last houseguest standing will win the Power of Veto.

Each houseguest will be given a ball to roll down the lane. The goal is to try to get the ball as close as possible to the end of the lane without having it fall in. The houseguest who gets closest to the end of the lane will become the new HoH.

Twist Announcement - Returning Houseguest

Big Brother informed the houseguests that Lori, Tonya, Amy and Eric have been sequestered and will be competing for an opportunity to get back in to the game. The houseguests were told that they will find out who it will be during the next live show.

The houseguests will see a series of five snapshots fade in and out on the plasma screen. They are specific events that happened in the house. You must list the events as they happened in chronological order. For each correct answer in sequence you will receive one point. The houseguest with the most points will win the Power of Veto.

Returning Houseguest Competition

Julie spoke to the four potential returning houseguests individually and asked them how much of the potential grand prize they would be willing to give up to get back in to the game.

Answers: Amy $250,000, Eric $250,000, Tonya $250,000, Lori $50,000.

Julie then met the four houseguests as a group and told them that the two people that were willing to give up the most would remain in the running to get back in to the game.

Due to the three way tie, Julie asked the tiebreaking question of how many of the remaining 42 days they would be willing to eat nothing but peanut butter and jelly.

HoH Competition - “Houseguest Soup”

Julie instructed all of the houseguests to get in to the giant tub. She said that the houseguests must remain seated at all times and may not get up or sleep in the tub. The last houseguest out of the tub will become the new HoH.

Chiara was instructed to pour a number of items in to the bathtub, including 40 squid, 10 gallons of seaweed, 20 electric eels, 10 gallons of cod liver oil.

Order to drop out of the competition: Roddy (1 minute), Marcellas (1 hour), Gerry (1 hour), Danielle (1 hour 5 minutes), Lisa (1 hour 51 minutes), Jason (1 hour 58 minutes).

Each houseguest will take a turn going down the slip and side, trying to get closest to the end without going over. You must slide head first on your stomach. The top of your head will determine the end mark.

Julie will ask a series of questions about things that the evicted houseguests may have said at moments when all of the houseguests were together. Answer correctly to stay in the game. Answer incorrectly and you will be eliminated. The last houseguest standing will become the new HoH.

The houseguests were each given a gnome to decorate. Their gnomes were then strung up and had three lines attached to them. Each line corresponds to an answer of a multiple choice question about the houseguests. Only the correct answer line is attached to the gnome. If that line is cut, the gnome will come crashing to the ground. The person whose gnome is the last one hanging will win the Power of Veto.

Veto Competition “Big Brother’s Charm School”

The yard has been set up with various stations of an obstacle course. Each houseguest must walk the gauntlet with the veto balanced on their head. Every time that they drop the veto or touch it, they will be assessed a 15 second penalty. Whoever makes it to the finish in the least amount of time, after penalties, will win the Power of Veto. The top two finishers will receive a 30 minute massage.

The houseguests were told that the final veto of the summer will be the Golden Power of Veto. Winning this will allow the holder to save someone else or themselves from the nomination block.

The houseguests will compete one at a time. They must walk the length of the course, stepping only on the picture of the evicted houseguest in the order that they were evicted. You must also walk the course without breaking any of the laser beams. Stepping on the wrong panel will results in a one minute time penalty. Any beam you break will result in a 15 second time penalty. Touching the black will also result in a 15 second time penalty. The houseguest to finish in the shortest amount of time, including penalties, will win the Power of Veto.

The houseguests must get in to their lifeboat and insert their key in the nomination box. They must remain in the lifeboat and not let go of their key. The houseguest to hold on to their key for the longest will win Part 1 of the Final HoH Competition and will advance to Part 3.

Order to drop out of the competition: Jason (45 minutes), Danielle (4 hours 23 minutes).

Final HoH Competition - Part 2

The houseguests have six tasks that they must complete within seven minutes. The houseguest that completes the tasks with the fastest time, or completes the most tasks, will win Part 2 of the Final HoH Competition and will advance to Part 3.

Task 1: Order the memory wall photos in order of eviction.
Task 2: Wash a towel, put it in the drier and turn it on.
Task 3: Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and eat it.
Task 4: Put the veto winners in chronological order.
Task 5: Collect the pictures from the pool and put the HoH winners in chronological order.
