BBCAN4 Day 22 - Joel nominates Kelsey and Raul for eviction
March 18, 2016
9:00-10:00 AM: Loveita told Joel that people continue to ask her what he is going to do, so she keeps saying that she does not know considering he voted against the way that she wanted last week. Loveita let Joel know that she spoke with Cassandra last night and they agreed that they do not want things to be awkward. Loveita asked if Joel talked to Tim about his vote. Joel said the way that Tim explained his vote made sense, though he is not 100% sure if it was the entire reason that Tim voted against Cassandra. Joel and Loveita agreed that Dallas, Maddy and Ramsey seem to want to work with Joel. Loveita said that Jared’s side has no room to work with anyone else at this point. Joel asked who has more influence between Dallas and Maddy. Loveita thought that it was Dallas, though she mentioned that Maddy is someone that thinks logically when it comes to the game. Joel wondered if Mitch would stay loyal to the two of them if he strikes at one of the three from Jared’s side. Loveita said that the three of them definitely need to talk, because they are an alliance and Mitch has a lot of wisdom.
Loveita asked Joel what his initial thoughts are. Joel said that going after someone like Raul may ruffle the least amount of feathers, though it leave the showmance in the house. If Kelsey leaves, Joel figured that Jared and Raul would not be that close. Loveita agreed and said that those two are associated through Kelsey. Dallas entered the room and Loveita left. Dallas asked Joel if he heard the conversation that he had with Jared on the couch this morning. Joel said no. Dallas let Joel know that he told Jared that it’s his team vs Jared’s team now. Dallas said it’s clear that Jared and himself are gunning for each other. Dallas told Joel that he is not on his radar and he will take Jared out on his own if Joel does not want to make the move this week. Dallas pointed out how strong of a competitor Jared is and how well he has done in the competitions. Dallas felt that Jared’s only enemy in the house is him. Dallas assured Joel that he would continue to target those players, so the two of them could work together and nobody would suspect it. Dallas said that Maddy and Ramsey are two of the people that he trusts the most and they have the same goals as he does.
10:00-11:00 AM: Joel spoke to Nick and told him that the brothers are good people and they have built a connection for some time, so they are not on his radar. Nick told Joel that Dallas declared war on Jared this morning. Phil said that he is pretty sure that Dallas tried to make an alliance with Jared last night but Jared turned it down. Phil mentioned he heard Dallas tell Jared in front of everyone that it’s the two of them against each other now and it will come down to who strikes first. Joel and the brothers agreed that the Dallas side is not as tight as the Jared side. Phil suggested that Joel take a shot at the weaker ship, because the stronger ship will stick together and could retaliate against Joel next week. Nick figured that the weaker people would scatter if someone on their side is evicted. Joel said that the biggest question is how he can go about things in a way that keeps them in a good spot for next week. Joel asked if he should nominate a pawn or put two people up straight up and say that he is giving them the chance to compete. Phil thought that Joel should definitely say he is giving the nominees a chance to play for the PoV.
12:00-1:00 PM: Joel and Mitch discussed nominations. Joel asked Mitch who has the closest ties with the Jared, Kelsey and Raul. Mitch said that Jared and Kelsey are the closest, followed by Kelsey and Raul. Joel agreed. Joel said that he is not thinking about making a backdoor play, as that would make him look sneaky. Loveita joined them. All three agreed that they trust Jared more than Kelsey and Raul. Mitch said that he is a favourite to win but it is still too early to worry about that. Loveita said that Dallas will go after whoever remains from the Jared, Kelsey and Raul trio if one of them leaves this week. Loveita and Mitch each figured that people would feel as though they had a part in influencing Joel’s nominations. Mitch hope that he could still manage his relationships with Jared, Kelsey and Raul if they go on the block, in order to help stay in good with them and have some influence if they win HoH next week. Nominating Kelsey and Raul was discussed. Mitch asked Joel what he would do if Jared used the PoV on Kelsey. Joel said that he would consider nominating one of the wildcards as a pawn. Joel wanted to make sure that the wildcard would stay over Raul in that case, prior to making his decision. He wondered which wildcard would be safer to use as a pawn. Mitch said that people enjoy Tim’s company. Joel pointed out that he is also someone that has shaken things up a bit. Loveita said that Tim is well liked and people will want to break the trio up.
7:00-8:00 PM: The live feeds returned after a long outage for the have-not competition. Jared, Kelsey, Raul and Tim are have-nots for the week. The houseguests were drinking while the feeds were down and things got intense. Jared said that all of the spotlight is on him for yelling at Dallas. Tim mentioned that he threw a baseball bat. It was later revealed that he threw it over a hedge and it hit Maddy, though he said that he did not know that it was going to hit anyone. In the storage room, Dallas told Ramsey that he went up to Jared, Kelsey and Raul to say that he tried to shake on it to work with them twice but they have left him in the dark. He said that he let them know that they will be cool once outside of the house but they will be enemies inside of it. Dallas told Ramsey that it is the two of them and Maddy together, though nobody knows that Ramsey is in the mix. Dallas said that Loveita cannot be trusted, because she cut a deal with Jared, Kelsey and Raul and was going to nominate Maddy if the PoV was used. Dallas told Ramsey to keep it in mind that Loveita is playing both sides.
Joel, Mitch and Loveita discussed the plan for nominations. Joel said that he is leaning towards nominating Kelsey and Raul. Joel said that he is considering pulling Jared aside afterwards and giving him his word that he will not backdoor him. Joel mentioned Nikki and Tim as potential replacement nominees if the PoV is used. He wanted to use the wildcards as a pawn and wondered which of the two would be safer to use. Joel and Mitch agreed that Nikki would have a better chance of staying. However, Mitch felt that Tim would be more likely to understand being used as a pawn. Given his connections with Jared’s side and lack of connections with Dallas’ side, Mitch was concerned about striking at Kelsey or Raul. He said that he would like them to go after the Dallas side next week, allowing them to remain in the middle and keep two duelling sides in the game. Mitch feared that he would be left to play the game on his own if the Jared side is completely wiped out. Loveita asked if they are going to be Final 3. Mitch said that he is happy trying to do that. Joel agreed.
8:00-9:00 PM: Loveita assured Mitch that Dallas’ side will be after Jared’s side and will not target him. Joel said that he would do his part to help minimize the target on Joel and Loveita if whichever two remain on Jared’s side win HoH. The group discussed that targeting Kelsey over Raul is beneficial because she holds that trio together and is part of a showmance. Loveita suggested letting some people in on the plan before nominations take place, since one thing that she did not do well was to provide clarity. The three decided to let Phil in on the plan. Phil said that he supports it 100% and would be fine with targeting Dallas’ side next week to even things out. After Loveita and Mitch left, Cassandra and Nikki checked in with Joel and told him to do what is best for his game. Nikki said that she will not try to influence Joel’s decision. Cassandra told Joel that she has his back 100% and will not let anyone bully him if he tries to make a big move. After everyone left the room, Joel spoke to the camera and said to get some popcorn cause things are about to go down at the nomination ceremony.
Mitch told Phil that he is worried about Dallas winning HoH next week. He figured that Dallas would nominate him if Jared or Raul win the PoV. Mitch wondered if it was one move too early to go after Jared’s side. Both Mitch and Phil said that they would have targeted Dallas and Maddy this week. The two felt as though Loveita is really in Joel’s ear. Mitch said that Joel’s initial decision was to go after Dallas and Maddy, so he wonders what that means for down the road if Joel is so easily influenced. Mitch and Phil agreed that they would not go after Loveita. They expected that whoever remains on Jared’s side would go after her before they would go after them. Phil pointed out that Dallas hates Cassandra and Tim, so that leaves two more people for him to target before he comes after them. Mitch figured that Dallas, Maddy and Ramsey could be breakable and may move to different parts of the house once Jared’s side is broken up. Phil told Mitch that he is not worried about either of them right now, thinking that they are in good positions, so they should not overthink it. Mitch said that he wants to make sure that Loveita is true to those in the middle. He felt weird about Loveita saying that she is close to Dallas’ side. Phil said that Maddy hates Loveita. Mitch again brought up his plan to alternate picking off targets from each of the two sides rather than totally eliminating one side.
11:00-12:00 AM: Feeds returned following the nomination ceremony. Joel nominated Kelsey and Raul for eviction. Jared, Kelsey and Mitch were in the have-not room. Jared said that he is so rattled. Mitch said that he did not know that the move was coming but the idea had been thrown around as a potential option. Kelsey did not understand how Joel could say that they are being nominated for having an unbreakable bond when Dallas and Maddy have one as well. While Joel made the nominations, much of the blame was being placed on Loveita. Jared said that he will have some very choice words for her this week, which will be entertaining for Canada to watch. Mitch played it off as though he didn’t think that anyone but Loveita knew that this was coming. Mitch then headed to the bedroom and spoke to Raul, who expected that Jared would be nominated in the event that the PoV is used. Mitch pointed out that Jared may be the one that ends up winning it.
12:00-1:00 AM: Back in the have-not room, Kelsey told Phil and Raul that she hates that Loveita has won if she is the one that ends up leaving this week. Raul said that Loveita wants to get all of the girls out. Jared made his way back into the room. Phil guaranteed him that he will not be going on the block if the PoV is used. Phil explained that Joel already has so much blood on his hands from this move. Jared expects that Joel will indeed nominate him, seeing as he will have to finish what he started. Jared did not understand the logic behind the nominations. Both Jared and Kelsey felt as though they had connected with Joel on a personal level, as opposed to Dallas and Maddy who have not talked to him much at all. Jared said that they should have been smarter and kept Loveita away from Joel.
2:00-3:00 AM: Jared spoke to Joel, asking him what is going through his head. Jared said that he doesn’t know if he is getting backdoored this week but he knows that it is still a game. Joel said that it was not an easy decision and the strong group of three scared him because he felt that he would become expendable. Jared asked Joel where he ranks with Dallas, Maddy and Loveita. Joel said that he is not sure but that side isn’t as strong. Joel told Jared that he did not nominate him because he trusts him the most out of the three. Jared said that they can move past this because he understands that it is a game. Jared told Joel that he would not be putting him up if he wins HoH next week. Jared let Joel know that not many people are mad at him, since most people think that he had people in his ear. Joel said that it was his decision, even though he listened to what others had to say. Jared asked if he would be backdoored. Joel told Jared 100% that he will not be backdooring him. They shook on it.
Feeds have been down this afternoon for the have-not competition.
