BBCAN4 Day 50 - Maddy And Ramsey Are Nominated
April 15, 2016
9:00-10:00 AM: Kelsey chatted with the brothers in the HoH room. She said she has always looked out for them but it wouldn’t make sense to continue to do so if they nominate she or Jared this week. Kelsey said she could very well go home if she goes on the block with Jared. Phil said it’s a game and they will have to put her up if they nominate Jared. Kelsey told the brothers that they will upset the whole house except for Maddy and Ramsey if they do not go against those two. Kelsey continually said that she could go home. Nick told her that she is not a threat because she has already been evicted once and will never win the game. Phil said it may make the most sense for them to nominate her next to Jared. Kelsey told the brothers that Jared never would have nominated them this week. Phil said it’s because they have a feud with Maddy and Ramsey for putting them on the block. Kelsey pointed out that she is the one that has brought Jared together with them. Both brothers said that they are not together. Nick mentioned that Jared convinced the whole blue room to put them on the block because they voted to save Dallas, one week after he said he owes them his life for using the PoV on him. The brothers explained to Kelsey that Jared had that chance to build trust with them by doing what they wanted to do but he did not do it. Kelsey said Maddy and Ramsey do not have the brothers’ backs in this game. The brothers said Jared doesn’t have their back either. Nick told Kelsey that she has already gone home once and she came back and did the exact same thing that got her evicted to begin with. Kelsey argued that she did not play the same game when she returned because she did what was best for the house by getting Mitch targeted. Kelsey said she has always supported the brothers. The brothers told Kelsey that it is better for her game to have Jared go. Phil said she will not go on the block and will not go home if Jared is gone. Kelsey argued that neither Maddy nor Ramsey would have their backs once they are not in power but she would. Phil told Kelsey that she has tunnel vision. Phil said Kelsey is in there right now protecting Jared instead of herself. The brothers said Jared should be talking to them on his own. Kelsey said he will. Phil told Kelsey that she is like Jared’s wife, telling them that Jared will be there but he is stuck in traffic at the moment.
11:00-12:00 PM: Cassandra, Jared, Kelsey, Nikki and Tim were around the hot tub. The brothers joined them. Tim questioned if they are going to make the same move that Maddy did last week by putting Jared and Kelsey up. Tim said people will see that as the brothers appeasing Maddy and Ramsey who are becoming the biggest threats in the game. Tim pointed out that Maddy and Ramsey would take out the next biggest physical threat if Jared were to go this week. Tim told the brothers that Jared is not going to work against them. Jared spoke up and said that he never has. The brothers said he did one week when he tried to turn everyone on them for trying to keep Dallas. Phil said if everyone is on board with that certain move then they will do it. Both Jared and Tim said that they do not necessarily have to do it. Tim pointed out that the brothers will be making it clear that they are no longer with the team if they decide to keep Maddy and Ramsey around. Jared said if they are concerned about the Dallas week then they could talk that over. Tim said no one is trying to back them into a corner and trying to strong arm them. Tim mentioned that a big move would be keeping Jared in the game and controlling him. Phil said he hopes that it is possible. Jared said it is and it has been this whole game.
Phil told Jared that the worry is that Maddy and Ramsey are strong. Jared said Joel has been preaching that they are Jillian and Emmett. Phil said they have been honest about the reasons for considering nominating them and all that they want is to have a real talk. They discussed that Tim has told then both that he wants them to go to the end and he would be happy with them winning. They discussed a desire to build a bond. Phil told Jared that they will have to talk daily in order to do that. Phil said all that he needed in order to have a motive to nominate Maddy and Ramsey was a real talk with Jared. Phil told Jared that he wanted to know that there is support in the move. Jared said there is huge support and it is always a group effort. Phil mentioned that people like Nikki and Joel are taking away spots at the end. He suggested that they could flip things so that the bigger players are there at the end. Phil explained that he walked outside and felt that there was a team, which is what he wants. They discussed that they would be honoured to go to the end with someone like each other. Phil said Tim likes both of them and wants them to win. Phil figured that Tim would like it if they worked together. Jared said he would hate for the internationals to be the Final 2 even though he would like to take them near the end. Jared told Phil that the wildcards have done this before and now it is their time. Phil said he will have to do some damage control with Ramsey. Phil wanted to reiterate to Tim that Maddy, not Ramsey, is target. Jared figured that everyone would be on board with that. Jared let Phil know that the brothers would have his vote and Kelsey’s vote. Phil said that is the same argument that Maddy and Ramsey made so he evened things up in saying that.
The brothers spoke to Nikki in the HoH room. Nikki said it isn’t worth asking her what to do because she makes her decisions based on emotions rather than strategy. Phil said it seemed based on the talk outside that people want Maddy and Ramsey to be nominated. Nikki agreed. Nikki pointed out that right now it is Cassandra, Jared and Kelsey together which is worse than having Raul there. She added that Cassandra also has Joel and Tim on her side. However, Nikki pointed out that Maddy is as strong as Jared in competitions. Kelsey joined them. Phil asked if Kelsey has a Final 3 with Cassandra. Kelsey said she knows that Cassandra has had her back in this game but she knows that Cassandra will do what is best for her. Kelsey said that there is no Final 3 between them and she did not even have one with Jared and Raul. Phil told Kelsey that he is forming something with Jared but he wants to know if Kelsey would nominate them over Cassandra. Kelsey reminded the brothers that she said she would never put them up. Phil noted that Maddy and Ramsey don’t have anybody else and showing them some grace this week could go a long way with them. Phil said he wanted to bring Ramsey in the room to ask if he has ever said that he would nominate them. Kelsey told Phil that Ramsey will tell him what he wants to hear. She did admit that it was Maddy, not Ramsey, who has been pushing to get the brothers out. That being said, Kelsey made it clear that she thinks Ramsey will do whatever Maddy wants.
12:00-1:00 PM: Cassandra made her way up to the HoH room. Phil asked where her head is at. Nick said Cassandra has said she wants Maddy and Ramsey up all along. Phil explained that there is Jared on one side and Maddy on the other with Kelsey and Ramsey being dragged into it by association. Phil said Maddy and Ramsey are strong and they are the ones that would have to get the blood on their hands. Cassandra told the brothers that she doubts Jared would come after them if they keep him safe this week. Phil asked if Cassandra or Tim would nominate them. Cassandra said they are working together and are not coming after them. She reiterated that they are the middle group and need to stick together. She told the brothers that she trusts them and knows that they will make the right move. Cassandra said the only people that don’t want Maddy and Ramsey up are Maddy and Ramsey. Phil said he hopes it doesn’t come back to bite them because they make the move. Phil said she needs the brothers in the house to help her get to the end because she cannot win competitions. Cassandra said it worries her that people would be pissed off if the brothers don’t go after Maddy and Ramsey. Phil mentioned that he did not realize that there was a solid group until he walked in on the conversation by the hot tub. Cassandra reassured the brothers that she would never put them up. Phil asked if she has that bond with Jared. Cassandra said no. Cassandra said Kelsey weakens Jared and digs her own grave.
After Cassandra left, Nick told Phil that with Maddy and Ramsey they could win the competitions and make it to the end. Phil said they would have to win competitions if they keep Maddy and Ramsey safe, as opposed to be safe if they keep the majority happy by going against Maddy and Ramsey. Phil asked if Nick wants to put Jared and Kelsey up. Nick said he doesn’t care but wants to do what they want to do. Phil said you can’t be all prideful and powerful. Phil figured that Kelsey would keep them safe. As for Jared, Phil said they know that he is emotional and they know how to play him now. The brothers agreed that Ramsey is unlikely to be pissed if he goes up but stays in the house. Nick said they will nominate Maddy and Ramsey and make them believe that the whole house wanted it. Nick wanted to make it clear to Ramsey that Maddy is going to go. Phil said he is on board with that and now wants to listen to his music and enjoy the rest of the day. Phil said this is the only move that keeps the most people happy and keeps them safe. Phil did not think that Jared would put them up as long as they work on their relationship with him this week.
3:00-4:00 PM: Jared and Kelsey chatted out by the hot tub. Kelsey said her dream would be to not be on the block and not play in the veto competition. Jared said they don’t want to be on the block but they do want to play in the veto competition. He said he would not be surprised if the brothers said they would put Maddy and Ramsey on the block as a decoy in order to backdoor him. Jared told Kelsey about his chat with the brothers. He felt that the whole group talk this morning had helped since he was able to use the angle that the brothers would be the black sheep if they made the move against them. Jared said he tried to pump their tires and bro out with them. In the bedroom, Maddy told Phil that she thinks he would face more backlash if he put the two of them on the block as opposed to Jared and Kelsey. Ramsey agreed. Phil said the whole house is in their group. Maddy disagreed and said just tell her if she is going up. Phil said they are being threatened and told that the lines will be drawn if they make a certain move. Ramsey asked if everyone has said that they want the two of them up. Maddy pointed out that Phil had said they are good with Nikki and Tim. Phil said he thought they were until he heard a conversation by the hot tub today. Maddy said she is really upset and she would rather it be her on the block and not Ramsey. Maddy let Phil know that she would likely rebel if she remains in the game after being nominated. Phil countered that by saying he would have an even bigger group against him if he were to keep them off of the block. Maddy left. Ramsey asked if everyone wants he and Maddy nominate. Phil said not Ramsey. Ramsey told Phil that he knows his heart is telling him to nominate Jared and Kelsey but he is scared. Phil admitted that what Ramsey said is true. Ramsey said Jared and Kelsey are doing the same thing that they got mad at Loveita for doing with Joel.
4:00-5:00 PM: Maddy told Tim that Phil is saying every single person wants she and Ramsey to go up. Tim assured Maddy that she is good with both he and Nikki. Maddy figured that she would be going on the block regardless of what the decision is. Maddy told Tim that all the brothers care about is his opinion. Tim said he wants the brothers to reach their own conclusion. He admitted to being worried that if he says what he wants the brothers would use it against him next week by placing the blame on him. In the HoH room, Ramsey told the brothers that people would not say anything bad against Jared when he was in the room. He was referring to the earlier talk that took place out by the hot tub. Nick explained that they were told that the whole house will be against them if they do not nominate Maddy and Ramsey. The brothers told Ramsey that he will not be going home this week. Phil told Ramsey that he cannot make six enemies. The brothers told Ramsey that they would be shooting themselves in the foot by nominating Jared and Kelsey. Nick and Phil spoke alone. Phil asked Nick what his heart says. Nick said he likes Maddy and Ramsey more but they are the stronger competitors. The brothers figured that Ramsey would continue to be loyal to them even if they put him on the block. Phil said the better game move is to nominate Maddy and Ramsey. He told Nick that he would rather show loyalty to six people than to two. In the event that Maddy wins the PoV, Phil said they may have to put a pawn up and send Ramsey home. Phil figured that Tim would never let Maddy take them out. Nick said Tim can only do so much. Phil pointed out that Tim and Nikki are two votes. The two then went over their nomination speech for Maddy and Ramsey.
5:00-6:00 PM: Tim headed up to the HoH room and said he has an idea to end all of the BS. He told Jared and the brothers that he could volunteer as a pawn and they could nominate Jared or Maddy next to him and then they can nominate the other one next to him if the PoV is used. Tim said it keeps the backlash off of the brothers and puts the onus back onto the people that Jared and Maddy have working for them. The brothers said people are on board with nominating Maddy and Ramsey. Tim said they don’t need to use his plan then but he is fine with going on the block if the PoV is won. Phil said the decision has been made. Phil told Tim that it’s either Maddy and Ramsey or Maddy and Tim at this point. Nick said he doesn’t want to nominate Jared if the PoV is used. Tim said he doesn’t want to go on the block then. They discussed that they want to keep Ramsey over Maddy. Jared said he already let Ramsey know that he has his vote and Kelsey’s vote to stay. Tim said Maddy is probably the winner on paper at this point. Jared said Maddy is the only person that he would be disappointed to have win the game. The brothers agreed.
Maddy and Ramsey spoke in the bedroom. Ramsey told Maddy that it will either be the two of them on the block or Jared and Kelsey. Maddy didn’t think so because Phil would be going against his word if he put Ramsey on the block. Ramsey told Maddy that Tim claims that he and Nikki are neutral and are not part of the group that wants them on the block. Maddy asked why the brothers would lie about everyone wanting them on the block. Ramsey said he thinks that Tim talks behind their back. Maddy questioned why and asked if it’s just because the brothers said so. Maddy said that maybe the two of them should work alone because this is not going to work. Ramsey said he disagrees and asked if it is because of his comment about Tim. Maddy said no. However, she was concerned that Ramsey would still respect the brothers even if they put her on the block and kept him safe. Ramsey did not believe that they would do that. Maddy said she is done talking to Phil because she feels so betrayed since she could have sent him home last week. Maddy circled back to Tim and said he would be pretty dumb to lie to them. Ramsey took back what he said about Tim. Elsewhere, in the have-not room, Jared told Kelsey that he would not have it in him to screw over the brothers next week if he were to get into power.
Ramsey spoke to Phil and said he had a few things that he needed to get off of his chest before nominations. He told Phil that he sees the two of them, Nikki and Tim moving forward in the game. He then said that nominating he and Maddy would be making the same mistake that Raul made when he nominated Mitch. Phil said that he has to nominate Maddy. Ramsey asked if he has to go on the block with her. Phil said that he has to do that as well. He encouraged Ramsey to fight for the PoV and take himself off of the block. Ramsey told Phil that there are people backing them. Phil pointed out that those same people are backing Jared and Kelsey. Phil let Ramsey know that it comes down to the fact that he and Maddy are stronger than Jared and Kelsey. Ramsey suggested that Phil use that to his advantage. Phil was not very open to the idea. Phil brought up that Ramsey needs to go on the block next to Maddy because he would use the PoV on her if he were to win it. Ramsey said that he 100% would. Phil said he respects that about Ramsey.
7:00-8:00 PM: Phil told Maddy that he cannot go against everybody by keeping her safe. Maddy told her that he is making a mistake by taking someone out that is on her side. Maddy said that they should sign the cheque to Jared. Phil told Maddy that she could beat him at the end. Maddy said she has a lot of haters. Maddy guaranteed Phil that Tim does not want her to go on the block no matter what he says. She also mentioned that she has conversation with Nikki about it too. Phil told Maddy that she does not know the conversations that he has had. He explained that everyone is telling him that they will have his back. Maddy said Phil doesn’t respect Ramsey if he is putting him on the block. Phil said he is not going home. Maddy said because she is. Phil told her that somebody has to go home. Maddy pointed out that at least she is willing to tell people who her targets are as opposed to the others who are not offering up any information. Maddy told Phil that she was a vote for him but he will not be getting her vote anymore if she leaves this week. Maddy said she is hurt that he thinks that she would go after him. Phil explained that it is Big Brother and it does not have to do with that.
8:00-9:00 PM: Maddy told Phil that she believes that speaking to Tim would show Phil that people do not want the two of them out of the house. Phil said he would need to talk to Tim without anyone else in the room so that he does not get swayed. Ramsey said Phil would find out that Tim is just as much in favour of them staying as he is in favour of Jared and Kelsey staying. Nick joined them and discussed how this has been eye opening for him because of the way that people are acting. Maddy asked the brothers how keeping Jared and Kelsey would benefit them. They said that those two are weaker and are less likely to win at the end. Ramsey added that they are less likely to save the brothers. Ramsey said he is happy to use any power that he has to take the brothers off of the block. Maddy agreed. Maddy pointed out that she has been HoH and has shown who her targets are as opposed to Jared who has not had the chance to do so. Ramsey brought up Raul saying that Jared and Kelsey planned to backdoor the brothers.
The brothers, Joel, Nikki and Tim met in the HoH room. Tim told the brothers that they have to work out who their target is. Phil asked for help in making the decision. Joel said he already let them know that Maddy and Ramsey would have been his nominees. Nikki said that she does not want Jared out. She said she wants Cassandra and Kelsey out. The brothers mentioned that Maddy or Jared need to go. They asked Tim who he would prefer to see go. Tim said it does not matter to him and they can use him a pawn next to whoever their target is. However, he would want the other one to go on the block if the PoV is used. Phil said he thinks that they could do that. Kelsey joined them. Tim said the brothers would have to clarify that he is being used as a pawn. Kelsey pointed out that the whole point is to put Ramsey on the block with Maddy so that he cannot use the PoV on her. Kelsey said she wants the brothers to make up their minds. Kelsey wanted to speak to the brothers alone. Kelsey said she loves Tim but she thinks that he wants to do something like going on the block to make his game look better. Nick said he likes living on the edge. Phil said that Cassandra, Joel, Nikki and Tim would all support either move. Phil explained that it is a tough decision because he has a good relationship with Kelsey and with Ramsey.
9:00-10:00 PM: The brothers discussed that they need to nominate Maddy and Ramsey. Phil pointed out that Maddy is a huge threat and Jared is now working with them. Nick said Jared could very will win the PoV and it would become a wasted week if they had nominated him. Phil expected that Ramsey would understand the move and come to them if Maddy were to go. Phil said Maddy is a good game player and could beat them at the end. Nick mentioned that they need to maintain their friendship with Jared and then they will be good. Phil said they wanted Maddy out two weeks ago and they should take the opportunity to get her out. Phil brought up that Jared said a big thing when he said that he does not trust Tim and would be willing to go after him. Phil said that is the reason why he does not want to put Jared on the block.
11:00-12:00 AM: The nomination ceremony took place. Nick and Phil nominated Maddy and Ramsey for eviction. Ramsey said it does not add up that the brothers are so worried about Maddy but not about Jared. Maddy figured that Jared and Kelsey made a deal with the brothers. Maddy mentioned that she wanted to punch Kelsey in the throat for a comment that she made to her about it not being so fun to be on the block. Maddy said she cannot wait to leave the house this week. She advised Ramsey to stay far away from her because he is apparently the biggest blessing in the house and she is ruining his game. Maddy asked Ramsey what his plan will be for next week. Ramsey said he is not sure because it is them against the world. Maddy told Ramsey that it is him, not them, and he should not even pretend that he is the one that is leaving. Maddy said that Jared will have her jury vote over anyone but Ramsey.
12:00-1:00 AM: In the have-not room, Tim told Cassandra that what happened today was a bit of a joke. He was referring to the way in which the brothers handled being HoH. Many houseguests became frustrated that the brothers continued to waver and go back and forth between nominating Jared and Kelsey and Maddy and Ramsey. Tim said it is laughable that Canada made them HoH and this is what they did. In the kitchen, Phil told Jared that it was not that tough of a decision. He explained that he had been looking at his photos of his mom and he knows that she would be saying that Jared and Kelsey are good people. Jared thanked Phil and let him know that he had told Kelsey that he wouldn’t be able to turn his back on them. The two discussed that they feel bad for Ramsey but figured that he should have known that this would happen when he decided to get so close with Maddy. Cassandra checked in with Maddy to see how she was feeling. Maddy said she is pissed off at the house because every single person lied to their faces. Maddy said Cassandra is the only one whose name was not brought up. Cassandra told Maddy that she stayed out of it. Cassandra told Maddy that she will be in a good position if she is able to find a way to stay this week. Maddy mentioned that she will be done with Jared and Kelsey and the brothers will be screwed. In the HoH room, Phil told Nick that it’s perfect how they have Jared on their side along with Kelsey who is a number but is someone who cannot win. Phil figured that Tim would respect them for making a big move. He let Nick know that Tim has already said that he would leave the nominations the same if he wins the PoV. Phil said he would be willing to take Ramsey off the block if they win the PoV. He asked Nick if he would be fine with that in order to ensure that their target leaves. Nick said yeah.
