BBCAN4 Day 52 - Ramsey leaves the game due to personal reasons

Feeds had been down since 6:50 AM this morning. It was discussed that last night that Ramsey was going to be leaving the house at 7:00 AM. The reason for his departure was unclear. Ramsey said he was not sure if he would be returning. At 4:45 PM, Big Brother announced that Ramsey has left the game. The official statement was as follows:
"Yesterday Ramsey received news that his father is ill and requires surgery. In light of this situation Ramsey has decided to leave the Big Brother Canada house and be with his family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ramsey and his family and we wish Mr. Aburaneh a quick recovery".
4:00-5:00 PM: Joel told Cassandra and Nikki that he understands the decision that Ramsey made but it is too bad that his experience had to end like this without him having control. Nikki agreed. Cassandra said she can’t believe how overwhelming it must feel for Ramsey after how much he put on the line to be there and then such a terrible family thing happened. Joel said family means the world to all of them and they all would have done the same thing. Joel said it’s too bad they had to lose someone like that. Joel called Ramsey a really great guy who added a lot to the house. Nikki agreed and said he will be remembered. In the HoH room, Nick told Phil that all they can do is put Tim up next to Maddy for now. Phil figured that Tim may suggest nominating Nikki or Jared. The brothers discussed that Tim is putting on a show. Phil said Tim doesn’t care about Ramsey. Nick agreed and said that Tim is being fake to everyone in the house. Nick said he is making the call on this one and Tim is going on the block because he has volunteered as a pawn and has been fake.
5:00-6:00 PM: Out by the hot tub, Cassandra, Jared and Kelsey talked things over. Cassandra told Jared and Kelsey that Maddy let her know that Nikki tried to get her nominated. Cassandra said Nikki is now trying to be her BFF and is saying that they have to go to the end together because she hates everyone else in the house. Cassandra said if Maddy leaves this week she will nominate the brothers next to Nikki or Tim. Jared said they were thinking the same thing. If Maddy is still there, Cassandra said it would be imperative that she leaves. Kelsey said it is a sensitive subject but she will be choked if it plays out that Maddy stays. Kelsey pointed out that they had all decided as a group that Maddy would go this week. Cassandra then mentioned that there are eight people left and she sees the eviction order being Maddy, the brothers, Nikki, Joel, Tim and then the three of them will be in the end. Jared asked Cassandra who Tim would put up. Cassandra said Tim will not go against them and he has said many times that he wants to go to the Final 4 with them. Jared said what throws him off about Tim is that he will always throw his name out there as an option even in front of him. Joel came outside and said that it sucks to see someone leave the way that Ramsey did. They figured that Ramsey would not be allowed to be a part of the jury now. Cassandra said it would be awesome if Canada were to be given a jury vote. Jared wondered if someone would be brought back in Ramsey’s place. Joel mentioned that it was pretty big and gutsy of Ramsey to have come back to say goodbye to them. Cassandra said Ramsey told them that he did not realize that he wasn’t going to stay in the game until he was driving back to the house. She said Ramsey had mentioned that he told his mom he had decided to stay in the game. Joel wondered what would happen in terms of Thursday’s eviction. Cassandra said that it would not really be fair to the brothers to write off the entire week. Jared agreed and said that Ramsey was going to use the PoV on himself anyway and it would have been Maddy nominated next to a replacement nominee.
6:00-7:00 PM: Cassandra, Maddy and Tim chatted by the hot tub. Tim mentioned that he had previously told the brothers that they could use him as a pawn. Maddy figured that they would take him up on that offer. Maddy said it’s going to be hard because having a unanimous vote is so heartbreaking. Tim said it may not be unanimous. Maddy felt that it would be if the two of them were on the block together. Tim said he is a bit disappointed in the brothers because he thought that this would be the week that they may show their cards. He pointed out that Jared would be a strong pawn while he would be a weak pawn. Maddy said she really doesn’t want to go to jury, especially not this week. She mentioned that she will have to spend 25 days in jury. Maddy explained that she would have been okay going to jury knowing that there was someone in the house that was with her and that had a chance to win the game. Tim said her only other option is to self evict. Maddy said she is going to have a Nikki tantrum if she ends up having to go to jury. Tim told her that an argument could be made to the brothers that they nominated she and Ramsey because they were a strong two but now she is one without Ramsey. Cassandra headed up to the HoH room and mentioned that Maddy is the strongest player in the house. Phil said that’s why she is on the block and has to go. Cassandra warned Phil that Maddy is planning to come talk to him. She hoped that Phil would not fall for what Maddy had to say. Phil said the week has gone according to plan and it has been the cleanest extraction ever. Phil asked Cassandra who she is loyal to. Cassandra said the brothers and Joel. She assured Phil that she does not have a Final 3 with Jared and Kelsey, adding that it would be stupid to do that since she would be the third. Phil said he doesn’t think that Joel would betray them. Cassandra agreed because she didn’t know who else he could possibly be with. Cassandra brought up that Tim is a number for them but he always brings up the good and bad about everything which gets him into trouble.
8:00-9:00 PM: Cassandra asked Tim if they should try to win HoH this week. Tim said yeah. Cassandra asked who they would put up. Tim told her that he would nominate Nikki and the brothers. He thought that Nikki may end up self evicting, especially if she is on slop. Cassandra pointed out that they have been talking about going after Ramsey or the brothers next but Nikki is being an idiot. Both Cassandra and Tim said that they want Nikki out. Tim said Nikki could get people to turn against Cassandra. Tim said hopefully it is a double eviction. Cassandra figured that it would give them a way to quickly get rid of Nikki. Tim asked who they should use as a pawn next to her. Cassandra said that it would have to be Kelsey or Jared. Tim thought that people would vote Jared out so it would have to be Kelsey. Tim told Cassandra that he will get rid of Nikki if he wins HoH. He said it would not be a big move for anybody else but him. He mentioned that he has worked out that Nikki is his biggest roadblock to getting to the end with Cassandra. Tim explained that there is only one alternative but Cassandra is not going to like it. He then told her that it would be to go to the Final 2 with Nikki. However, Tim said that is too risky because nobody would take him to the end over Nikki. He also believed that he would have to win way more competitions if he went that route. They agreed that getting Nikki out needs to be their next move.
12:00-1:00 AM: Maddy told Phil that she is there to help people win the game. She suggested that she could help the brothers if she stays in the game. Phil said he knows that Maddy would be loyal to them until the end. Maddy said she is alone now and she does not have anyone. Maddy asked Phil to help her help him. She said that she will be livid if Jared or the brothers do not win the game. Phil said that he will be nominating Tim. Maddy said she will go home then. Phil encouraged her to campaign. Maddy had an idea about who else could go up. She said that it is not Jared. Jared then came by and said he sees her last ditch effort to get him out of the house. He pointed out that she is telling everyone that she will vote for him at the end. Maddy said it’s the truth. Jared then said that she has been cuddling up to Phil as soon as Ramsey left the house. Jared told the brothers that he has their back. After Jared left, Maddy began to cry and questioned what she did. She told Phil that Jared is not even the person that she was going to say to put up. Maddy said she hates the game because people are bullying her. She felt that it was ridiculous for anyone to say that she would do that to Ramsey. Maddy said she will be trying to self evict tomorrow.
Maddy headed upstairs to talk to Nick, after a stop in the diary room. Maddy told Nick that she does not want Jared to convince them that she is sucking up to them because Ramsey is gone. She again said that she will be asking to leave tomorrow. Nick said he would go see what is going on with Jared. The brothers then chatted with Jared and discussed that their ideal Final 3 is with each other and Kelsey. It was discussed that Tim needs to be the next to go after Maddy leaves. They figured that they would be the only strong ones in competitions at that point. Phil mentioned that they could always take Tim out before Maddy. Jared considered it but felt that it would be best to let Tim think that they are still good with him for now. Phil filled Jared in on his talk with Tim last night in which Tim attempted to get him to put Jared on the block. The guys discussed that Tim think they are too dumb to ever talk. Phil reiterated that the plan for tomorrow is to put Tim on the block. Jared headed outside with Kelsey to talk things over. Kelsey felt as though Maddy still had to go this week and then they could focus on getting Tim out next week. Both Jared and Kelsey said that they would be willing to nominate Tim.
1:00-2:00 AM: Maddy spoke to the brothers and said she plans to leave tomorrow because she does not want to be there and feels that it has made her a horrible person. Nick told her to sleep on it. Maddy said that she would but she was feeling this way before everything happened today. Maddy told the brothers that Jared will get them out of the game if they do not take him out. She said that she will laugh at them and say she told them so when it happens. Maddy explained that Cassandra and Jared are the worst ones in the house because they can convince people of anything. Maddy told the brothers that everyone is against them and that they will be the next target for everyone once she is gone. Maddy let the brothers know that Tim wants what is best for them and they know that that move is to put Jared on the block. However, Maddy suggested nominating Cassandra. Phil told her that Tim will be going on the block. He continually told Maddy that she can stay in the game if she fights hard enough. He said that she will regret it if she does not fight and then goes home and sees what was going on in the house. Phil told Maddy that she is giving Tim way too much credit. Maddy said that everyone does. She eventually said that her compelling argument will have to be that she will remain a target and Tim will never be one. Phil told her to point out that Tim will continue to manipulate if he stays and that having a web of friends is more threatening than being someone that is on their own. He also made a point of saying that Tim is the Australian and people should not want to let him win the game. Maddy said she would campaign for her life as long as she does not leave in the morning.
