BBCAN4 Day 60 - Cassandra nominates Jared
April 25, 2016
Feeds returned after being down since 5:50 PM last night. The houseguests had a party to celebrate the birthdays of Tim (April 22nd) and Nikki (April 28th).
9:00-10:00 AM: Jared spoke to Cassandra and told her that he would not do this to her if he was in her position. Cassandra said it is nothing personal but she has no one else to put up. Feeds were then cut. Cassandra checked in on Joel. He said he needs to be by himself right now. Cassandra asked if he is okay. Joel said not really but he needs to clear his head and be by himself. Cassandra questioned if something had happened. Joel said he is fine and he will talk to her later. Cassandra asked Tim what’s wrong with Joel. Tim said he was wondering the same thing but thinks that he is really hungover. Cassandra told Tim that Jared wanted to know if she would break a tie in his favour and she told him that she does not know.
10:00-11:00 AM: The veto ceremony took place. Once feeds returned, we found out that the brothers had used the Power of Veto on themselves. Cassandra nominated Jared as the replacement nominee.
11:00-12:00 PM: Cassandra and Tim discussed a stare down between Cassandra and Jared at the veto ceremony. Tim said he is proud of he and Cassandra cause he realized in that moment that they are killers. Tim told Cassandra that he couldn’t have done that. Nikki spoke to Cassandra and said if she is still there next week she knows she needs to win HoH. Nikki wasn’t sure that it would be possible. Cassandra encouraged her and told her that all of Canada wants to see her win it because people love her. Tim came back into the HoH room and asked what the others have said to Joel. Both Tim and Nikki said that Joel told them to leave him alone. Cassandra wondered if he is working with the other side now. Tim didn’t know why Joel would do that. Nikki said that Jared has been showing his true colours. Tim figured that the others must have told Joel that Cassandra was thinking of putting him on the block. He also thought that they may have said he will only ever be the fourth on their side because Cassandra, Nikki and himself are a three. Nikki expected that the brothers would vote her out in order to keep Kelsey on their side moving forward. Cassandra said she feels as though Joel might be this upset if he is turning on them. Nikki agreed and thought he may be feeling guilty. Nikki said she is really nervous now. Tim told her that everything will come out in time and they will find out what is going on with Joel.
12:00-1:00 PM: Cassandra confronted Jared to ask how he could expect her not to put him up when he was talking about her at the hot tub last night and saying that she is the shadiest person in the house. Jared said he is not stupid and Cassandra turned against him long before today. Jared told Cassandra that she stopped trusting him as soon as she got HoH. Cassandra pointed out that she put the brothers up. Jared said he had to argue with her to do that and that is pathetic. Jared told her that she can leave. Cassandra said okay and told Jared not to ask her for her tiebreaker vote then. Jared asked Joel if he is okay. Joel said he is alright but 60 days is a long time to be away from his family. Jared said he is going to keep quiet all week and then talk to people at the end of the week. Jared claimed that he would not be going around campaigning. He told Joel that he can do what he wants to do and no one is going to hold it against him. Jared said he will not be ruining people’s games as he walks out the door. Jared mentioned that Cassandra tried to start a fight with him already but he is not going to give her the satisfaction.
3:00-4:00 PM: Nikki asked Cassandra if she has any idea what is going on with Joel. Cassandra said no but she figured that the others were making stuff up. Nikki said she cannot believe the lengths that people go to. Cassandra pointed out that Joel wanted her to nominate Jared so he is unlikely to vote to keep him. Cassandra said she may go on slop in Joel’s place so that he feels indebted to them and knows that she is on his side. Nikki felt that it would secure Joel’s trust in Cassandra if she were to go on slop for him. Cassandra said Jared will win the game if he stays this week. Cassandra headed up to the bathroom where Kelsey was. She told Kelsey that if Jared didn’t talk so much crap about her last night she wouldn’t have put him up. Kelsey said that’s a lie. Cassandra told her that it solidified it and she doesn’t get why he is being ruthless when she might be a tie breaking vote. Kelsey said Jared is fighting for his life and he knows that she will never keep him in the game. Cassandra and Tim then spoke in the HoH room. They wondered what the others had told Joel in order to get him so upset. They discussed calling a house meeting if needed. Tim didn’t understand how the others would not feel guilty if they said something wrong. Cassandra brought up that she may take Joel’s slop punishment since he fought so hard for her to keep her nominations the same. She said she already kind of brought it up and she thinks that Big Brother will let her do it. Cassandra told Tim that Jared said everyone will hate her back home in Winnipeg for making this move against him.
4:00-5:00 PM: Joel and Tim talked things over in the HoH room. Joel admitted that he had a whole bunch of stuff said to him yesterday and everyone on the other side is counting on him voting with them. Joel said he does not believe what they have said to him about Tim but it is still upsetting to hear. Tim said he will admit to it if it’s true or he will call the others out if what they said is a lie. Joel said Jared told him that he is the butt of people’s jokes. Tim assured Joel that he does not make jokes behind his back when he is not in the room. Joel then explained that Jared told him Tim tried to get he and Cassandra on the block in the past two weeks. Tim said he had not once done that. Next up, Joel said he heard that Tim tells people he is not connected to Cassandra in any way. Tim explained that he says things in order to throw people off and also because everyone is equal within their three person alliance. He let Joel know that he would be fine with Cassandra and Joel choosing each other over him if they felt that it would be best for their games. Joel said Jared saw the writing on the wall and knew that he had to campaign even though he was not yet on the block. Tim said he will be voting Jared out even if Joel is not. He said he does not like when people slander others in hope of staying. Joel said that is pretty much what happened yesterday.
Joel feels that he could finish no better than third if he were to stick with Jared and Kelsey, making it not worth keeping Jared around. He later reiterated that from a game standpoint it makes no sense to keep Jared. Joel said something that bugs him about Cassandra is that she continually tells him that she has his back even though he doesn’t need to hear it time after time. Tim said Cassandra lathers it on. Tim let Joel know that he saw last week that he and Cassandra proved they had chosen him over the others. Tim said he would be happy for Joel or Cassandra to win the game because of the loyalty they have showed him and because he respects them. Tim told Joel that Jared has been saying that Cassandra will be the joke of Winnipeg after this move. However, Tim said Jared is going to be the joke of Winnipeg for going home because he was not willing to cut his hair. After Joel and Tim wrapped up their talk, Cassandra spoke to Joel. Cassandra said she doesn’t know what was said to Joel but it pisses her off. She reassured him that he is her #1 in the game. Joel let her know that she does not have to tell him that again. Cassandra said she is willing to go on slop in place of Joel. Cassandra wanted to prove herself to Joel after he fought hard for the PoV in order to help her. Joel said that keeping him around was proof enough for him. Joel revealed that when he was outside last night with Jared, Kelsey and the brothers, they told him that Cassandra is phony and she has been getting close to Nikki even though she doesn’t like her. Cassandra said Jared is backed against a wall and has no option but to make stuff up at this point.
5:00-6:00 PM: Joel mentioned that Jared said Cassandra was throwing his name out as a potential nominee. Cassandra assured him that the one thing she told people is that she would not be nominating Joel. Joel then informed her that Kelsey and the brothers plan to go after Cassandra and Tim. Cassandra figured that would be the case. Cassandra and Joel agreed that their ideal Final 4 is with Nikki and Tim. They discussed that Nikki winning HoH next week would be the ideal outcome. Cassandra said she really believes that Tim is not going to turn on them and that he is loyal to the Freakshow alliance that the three of them have. They agreed that Tim would get rid of Nikki before he would get rid of either of them. Tim told Joel that he would do so and explain to Nikki that it is nothing personal but he has been loyal to those two and Nikki did make a move against them by voting Dallas out. Cassandra said she made the move against Jared not for her own game but for the alliance because it will benefit them all. Cassandra said she would like to have a house meeting so that Joel can find out that she has not brought his name up as a target. Joel said he trusts Cassandra and Tim and does not need that to happen. Joel admitted that it was tough to hear unflattering things about himself whether they were true or not. Cassandra, Joel and Tim agreed that they will be voting Jared out but it is best not to call anyone out beforehand because it may hurt Joel’s game. Cassandra said Jared claims that her family will be ashamed because of the move that she made. Tim said Jared did not realize how much they knew what was actually going on last week. Joel asked if he should pull Jared aside before the eviction in order to let him know that he is voting him out. They said yeah. Joel said he will do it just before the eviction. Joel told Tim that if the HoH competition comes down to the two of them and Nikki they should throw it to Nikki because she would not target them. Tim agreed that Nikki would have no reason to doubt either of them as long as they keep her safe this week so she would nominate Kelsey and the brothers.
6:00-7:00 PM: Joel went to Nikki and let her know that he will be voting to keep her, as will Cassandra and Tim. Joel said that the others think that they got through to him and that he will be voting her out but he is not doing that. Nikki said it was heartbreaking to watch Joel be upset all day. Nikki asked if Jared thinks that Joel will be voting her out. Joel said yes but he promised Nikki that he will not vote her out. Joel discussed that the brothers have to win HoH on Thursday or else they will be the next to go. Nikki agreed and added that Kelsey knows that she is coming after her as well. Nikki brought up Cassandra’s proposal that she would take slop for Joel. She felt as though Joel should consider the offer because he needs to have energy down the final stretch of the game. Joel wasn’t sure that Big Brother would allow it but said he would be willing to work something out with Cassandra if it were to be approved. As she has done numerous times before, Nikki told Joel that she will do everything in her power to make Joel the winner of the game. Joel thanked her for that.
9:00-10:00 PM: Cassandra told Phil that she irritated she did not put Jared up from the beginning of the week. Phil asked what she would do in the event of a tie. Cassandra said she would vote Jared out. Cassandra mentioned that she is expecting the vote to be a tie though it could be 3-1 to evict Nikki because Joel could be swayed. Cassandra let Phil know that she is still willing to work with him and repair the damage that she did this week. Phil told her not to think that anything is different between the two of them. Cassandra said she would not have went after Phil until the blow up happened prior to last week’s vote. She told Phil that Jared was throwing him under the bus big time. Phil said he knows and that’s the game. Cassandra asked if Phil meant what he said when he claimed that he does not want an international to win. Phil said yeah. Cassandra swore that she would not be coming after the brothers again if she were to win HoH. She also informed Phil that Jared called her pathetic because he has to forced her to put the brothers on the block. Cassandra wanted to call Jared out for that comment in front of the house. Phil said he will have his popcorn ready if she does.
11:00-12:00 AM: Cassandra told Tim that she is going to take Joel’s slop punishment on Wednesday. She said that she will not tell Joel that she is taking it and will just bring food to him and say that he can eat because she has gone on slop for him. Tim asked if Big Brother has told her that she can take on the punishment. Cassandra confirmed that they did and she can take it over for the remainder of the season. Cassandra saw it as something that could help her get to the end of the game. She plans to “eat like a pig” tomorrow before going on slop. Tim pointed out that Joel may feel uncomfortable with Cassandra going on slop if he feels that she is doing it in hope of getting something out of him. Cassandra assured Tim that it was not being done for that reason. He suggested that she explain to Joel that there are no conditions for her doing it.
12:00-1:00 AM: Jared and the brothers chatted in the kitchen. The brothers told Jared that he will have their vote even if Joel is voting against him. Jared said he wants to pitch to Joel that the four of them, including Kelsey, can go Final 4. Jared said the best way for them to get to the finals is four all of them to stay. The brothers agreed. Jared headed to bed. Phil told Nick that Joel’s hesitation with the plan would be that he is on the outside of a solid threesome either way and it would be better for him to pick the weaker one in Cassandra, Nikki and Tim. Phil figured that they would have to offer to use PoVs on Joel and to assure him that they would team up against Jared and Kelsey once they got to the Final 4. As for the Final 3, Phil wants to get there with Jared and Kelsey. He planned to ask Jared to throw Part 1 and Part 3 to them. He said they could assure Jared that they will take him to the Final 2 which would guarantee his spot no matter who wins the HoH competition. Phil thought that Jared would respect that they played a better game than Kelsey did. The brothers discussed that they would have the votes to beat Jared in the end. They counted out their sure votes as Cassandra, Nikki, Tim, Maddy, Mitch and Canada.
